I took a small stroll down memory lane, took a sharp right and went down the hill and ended up at the Corner of Happy & Healthy. Interesting, I never, ever think about going to Walgreens. But just like a late night after drinking- Walgreens and a Burrito Supreme are the same, I always find myself tearing into one. Maybe it's because they're located on just about every street corner (or they appear to be), or it could be, the over-generous and gracious operating hours (24 hours), or they have just about everything you, your spouse, or your second cousin will ever need when requested in a five minute window. Walgreens is sort of like a Flea Market with prescriptions, $1 toys, and fountain drinks but they also develop film and have a loyalty program. Visionaries...no doubt. read more

Horrible pharmacy. The techs are ALWAYS rude and have an attitude. The pharmacists aren't any better. The final straw was when I called and asked about my prescription status to pick up before a BIOPSY FOR CANCER. I asked if it could possibly be rushed because it's only 3 pain pills before they cut a piece of my insides out. They said there's a lot of people ahead and the doctor should've sent in the prescription sooner. No empathy at all. I waited 55 minutes sitting outside the pharmacy crying because I will either have to just deal with the pain or reschedule my cancer biopsy. I saw people picking up their allergy medicine before my prescription. Even at the estimated time they were still not available. These techs and pharmacists don't care about whatever patients are dealing with. As an X-ray tech myself, it's so sad seeing people who go into healthCARE and not give any empathy to actual patients. Will never be coming back and will be transferring all my prescriptions to Walmart. I hear they have a lot better customer service - just comparing the reviews. Unfortunately I'm not the only one who has been met with rudeness and attitude when picking up possibly life saving medications. Completely unacceptable. read more

One of the employees at this location is so wonderful. Her name is Lisa and she works in the cosmetic section. She is so kind every time we go in. She truly stands out as an exceptional person. She's so sweet to my teenage daughters and helps them find the right makeup for them. Lisa is so sweet we love going in just to say hi. If I had a business I'd hire Lisa! She's wonderful. read more

Not sure how this location has two stars. Do not come here for a vaccination as they don't care when you made your appointment. Took me 3 hours to finally get my vaccination. Others less crazy were turned away or just gave up. Meanwhile people are coming to pick up their prescriptions because they were told they were ready only to learn that their call center doesn't communicate with stores. And will notify people to come in even if the store is backed up. If you are looking for a purgatory or limbo like situation I highly recommend you booking a vaccination appointment later in the day and jamming to their pop songs from the last 40 years. read more

The worst pharmacy ever!!!! Took advantage of my daughter(18) over charging for her flu vaccination $60. When she has health first (Medicaid) and told her it was only free if she was 19. The most it was advertised was $40 with no insurance. read more

If I could give this location zero stars i would. It's unfortunate a large scale pharmacy is having issues after issues, but that is the reality. Time after time the system is down or the pharmacy is closed. Doctor's offices have warned about this particular pharmacy not having medications needed. Take your money elsewhere. read more

DO not trust this pharmacy for your prescription's. The pharmacist that they advertise at this location, bailed months ago. They have technicians who are not certified who are counting and dealing out your meds. They claim to have a Pharmacy technician program for those who work there and the whole thing is a scam that Walgreens has been getting away with for a very long time, so they don't have to pay technician salaries. They promise to get these techs certified and that is a bold lie. They have a pharmacy tech that is not licensed who treats customers terribly. They will not answer phones there. I have been using this walgreens for about three or four years now, and every single time without fail i'm given the wrong prescription. The first few times i just passed it off as honest mistakes. I called them and told them the specific medication i need from the right manufacturer, and the person on the phone reassured me that they had made a note in the system for it. STILL they are giving me the wrong meds from the wrong manufacturer. The ladies in the pharmacy act like it's an inconvenience every time i go. It's not only that, but they're actively rude, trying to pick a fight or start an argument. It's totally bizarre, and i never let it get to me, and i've never argued with them, but they're just SO RUDE. read more

The manager here (Shawn) is awful! He treats his employees and customers horribly. My wife and I were trying to get passport photos. He had an untrained employee (Todd) helping us but Todd had zero training in the photo lab. Todd was great and doing his best but Shawn wouldn't give him or us the time of day when help was needed. Shawn was annoyed and short with us and Todd when questions were asked. I will never step foot in this Walgreens again as long as Shawn is employed there. What a jerk!!! read more

This was the third time that they did not have photos ready when I ordered (I even waited an extra day to make sure they had ample time this last time). They have forgotten the extra pieces to the wood panels each time and are unapologetic and rude when these issues are addressed. Would not recommend and will not be going back. read more

I transferred my Perscrition from the Walgreens on 64th and McIntyre because they were short staffed and closed for days. Only to find out the next month this location too would shut down with out warning! FOR DAYS I frantically tried to get ahold of someone. Staying on the phone for an hour+. I went into the Simms location and this sign was posted. So, I drive down to 66th and Wadsworth only to find out they too were closed! Now out f two prescriptions I went to King Soopers Pharmacy on 58th and they were so kind. My insurance wouldnt allow another claim on the scripts because they were tied up at Walgreens so Kings got me a discount card and a new prescription from my Dr. Walgreens failed me and my family. This was dangerous what they did. At the least they should of had someone answering the phone to transfer prescriptions. I CANNOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY!! Oh, I did get an email back from corporate about a month later saying they will notify the Walgreens on McIntyre and that they're dedicated to our health. read more

Usually this place would rate four stars but the past two trips have been just a pain. It's not just my Doctor that is annoyed but I am as well. Two months in a row they lost my script, and it took a week to get filled. When I spoke to the Pharm techs they were curt. Not happy about that. I pay for the Rx, I pay for my Ins, it's just a pain to have to do all of the calling myself and chase down a refill. With that said, the Pharmacist himself is so knowledgeable and nice. He caught a drug interaction that even my Doctor didn't, because it was a rare and newly recognized interaction (I thought they did studies... oh well), and he brought it to my attention, placed a call and worked with my doctor on another option. I really appreciate him actually using his knowledge and making the effort. Everyone else is very nice inside, it's always clean, stocked well, some one is always available to help... even the angst ridden teen behind the counter (hehe Gitana). I will continue to have my scripts filled here, it's just too convenient not too, but better customer service would up my rating. read more

I love Walgreens and I have used them forever and will continue to but I have to share the treatment I received today from the store manager Sianna at the Simms and 64th location. I ran in to grab a prescription and some photo cards I had ordered on December 13. They are same-day photos so I knew that they would be there waiting. I went to the photo counter and pushed the button. The announcement that a patron was waiting in photos went across the loud speaker. I waited. An employee with a change drawer walked past me and then into the back. The same employee came out from the back again as I was standing there turned right and walked away. Again the loudspeaker announcement came on saying there was a patron waiting in photos. The same woman returned again and walked into the back again. This time when she came out from the back she briefly acknowledged me and said someone would be with me shortly. Then she walked off again. About 10 minutes later another employee came to help me. This woman asked for my name which I gave her and she typed it into the computer and then she began to rummage through a couple stacks of photos that were strewn all over the counter. Then she went to a few of the other stacks. Then she came back to the computer looked again and told me that my photos were picked up. I said that was not possible because I have not picked them up yet. She said well they're not here. Then she looked at the computer again She clearly was overwhelmed with the amount of photos that were stacked around her and I'm not sure that she knew where to look. That's when the store manager Sianna came over. This was the same woman that had passed me several times as I was waiting at the photo desk. She came over and said to the employee "did you look back here?" Then she came back to the computer and looked at the computer again and said that my photos were not there and she did not know what happened to them. I asked if she could look through the stacks of photos that were around she replied she knew what was there and they were not there. I explained to her that these are Christmas cards that I was planning to mail out the next day. I asked her when they were supposed to be ready. She told me they were supposed to be ready by December 13 but she cannot find them so she would have to have them re-ordered. I asked if they could reprint my same day order or next day photo She said both options would no longer be available to me. Then she told me that I was being rude and that she wasn't going to re-order my Photos because I was irritated with her losing my Photos. Then she asked the patron behind me what she could do to help them and disregarded me. I came home and called Walgreens and spoke with a customer service representative who was very helpful and was able to get my order re-ordered and submitted so that I could pick it up 9 AM tomorrow and she also gave me some free photos to use in the future. Walgreens is a great company! It's unfortunate that they can't find better help! read more

So I'm a pain in the butt when it comes to health stuff. I've got a herd of kids with health care conditions and some of them are from a first marriage since apparently I'm no expert in picking the right spouse, I've got more children than your average working American, and they've mostly got asthma or some other irritating condition you learn to live with. Me, I'm a health-care nightmare that most people think should be dead by now but I keep on kicking. Thus, as you might imagine, I visit Walgreens on a semi-regular basis and it's rarely for just one prescription like the saner parents I meet there. And I've usually got some question or I'm in a hurry or the dogs are in the back seat hanging their heads out and I'm in a tug-o-war with one of them worried she'll be decapitated going through the drive thru because she learned how to press the button to make the window go down. Nonetheless, if Kate is in the drive-thru I know all will be well, even with the dogs. She not only smiles when she sees me and remembers my name, with the dogs and all my kids I may be hard to forget, but she checks on all the refills and scripts for my plethora of children without even asking and remembers some of them have a different last name. She's efficient and helpful and sometimes has treats for the dogs, this is their favorite errand to run now. If they don't have what I need she finds another Walgreen's close by or calls me directly so I can take the prescription somewhere else of offers to order it. Kate has debated with my insurance, helped me find a discounted prescription plan, when I was briefly without insurance, and always asks me about my complicated health. If I had to create my own pharmacy it would look a lot like this one and Kate would be at the window. My only frustration is the main exit co-exists with a high school and if you have the misfortune of needing a prescription or any of the other marvelous stuff you can't help buying when you go into Walgreen's, it will be an absolute nightmare to get out of the parking lot during lunch hour for Arvada West or after school lets out. Is there any way to make an easy exit out of the drive thru that doesn't require this battle with the entitled and impolite teenager in a rush to leave campus? read more

I have been a loyal customer for this store for 11 years and everyone is always friendly and helpful. In fact I think they are awesome! for a while they could not fill my scripts because of an insurance change. But that was not there fault. Anyway I am back getting my scripts there and I am very happy, because Kings was not very happy to get all of Walgreens customers and it showed. I thought that was very strange. (oh well). Yes you will run into a few high school kids if you go at the wrong time, just watch out when school gets out every day. ;) Great store! read more

NEVER SHOP HERE !!!! If i could rate this 1 star i used to go in about 3 times a week. Every time i came in here i always hear the cashier yelling at the high school students to "move their backpacks onto the shelf rack thing they have and get them away from the carts. Cashier isn't wrong at all, But what they have for bags is so incredibly small that students are going to have to put them by the carts. Where else are they supposed to put them? By the front door so people can trip over them? I see students vaping in here right in front of employees and they don't say anything. Does anyone wanna shop at a store where people especially students are vaping in the food aisles? There has been multiple issues with seeing security from AW come into Walgreens because the students "weren't at lunch" when there are several students in there. I don't know if it's security needing a student or Walgreens flipping shit and over reacting(as always) but it definitely gets annoying and is a turn off to shop here. These students are literally they're entire business. If that's an issue for Walgreens then they need to move or just close up in general. I've never had an issue with the students, they're always nice and friendly but still. When i talked to the manager about this he told me to "get over it" or "find another place to shop at". What a f*ing jackass, How uncalled for. If you want vaping students, security coming in left and right, and a horrible manager who clearly hates his job and doesn't give 2 craps about what he's doing, then this is the place for you. read more
