AVOID AT ALL COST - NOT WORTH YOUR TIME, DIGNITY, OR THE ABUSE FROM CVS PERSONNEL Monday, September 23, 2024 - Interaction with Pharmacy Manager & Pharmacist: "Jenna" Call #1: I called into the pharmacy at 9:20AM, 20-minutes AFTER opening that morning. The phone system had not been turned on - I received an automated message stating the pharmacy was still closed, despite the hours of operations on a weekday being 9AM to 8PM. The message instructed patients to call back later, then abruptly ending the call. Call #2: I called in a 2nd time at 09:22AM, but instead of leaving a voicemail that will never be checked or returned, as a patient I selected buttons to confirm I was a 'provider' calling in a prescription to the Pharmacist... and imagine that, the call was magically answered. the call was answered by the pharmacist. Pharmacist: Jenna advised me to call back in, leave a voicemail, and they would return the call within 30-60 minutes. When I mentioned the rolled phone service and not even being able to leave a message - she promised me calls were returned, and they were too busy to help me over the phone at that time. As a previous patient / customer of CVS Pharmacy I have left messages in the past on the CVS Pharmacy voicemail, requested call backs, and not once has a pharmacy representative ever returned my call of message. Despite being talked over - I asked if Jenna could answer one question briefly before ending the call. I / the PT asked for the assistance regarding if a certain medication was in stock - due to shortages, decrease in production, a generic just being approved, locating the medication in stock was extremely difficult. Pharmacist Jenna became hostile, upset at the caller, claiming the call was wasting her time, in no situation would the caller be informed if the medication was in stock, whether the pharmacy could fill the RX, or the reasoning behind the updated policies regarding their ability to confirm or deny if a medication could be filled in a timely manner by the drug store. Pharmacist Jenna then informed the patient, they are now requiring DOCTOR's to call in and verify prescription inventory for patients, if they want to confirm the medication is available and can be filled by this pharmacy. If not, the doctor can continue to call pharmacy after pharmacy until the medication can be located, confirmed, and held for the patient while the prescription could be written, dispensed, then processed to be filled by the pharmacy. As a patient who has utilized CVS pharmacies for decades, I tried to explain to the Pharmacist she could pull up the RX history attached to my patient profile, confirming the prescribed medication for years - and I was simply trying to fill the script without having to have it called in to multiple locations due to low stock. As if the prior authorization process wasn't hard enough... now pharmacies want our providers to call around and verify the ability for pharmacies to fill medication. As if the monthly or every other month doctor's visit isn't taking up enough time... they need to call around checking inventory for their patients. WHAT??? AT this point, the call 'accidentally ended'. Call #3: at 10:29AM after the call was disconnected from Pharmacist Jenna, the pharmacy picked up and immediately hung up the call with the caller to avoid any further conversation around the request. The attached phone record shows the call times in reference (except the calls were made on Central Standard Time - one hour ahead of Mountain Standard Time. IF you are looking for a health care company with employees who actually care about the health, wellbeing, or needs of the patients they service RUN from the CVS Pharmacy located at 5071 Kipling St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 - especially if CVS Pharmacy Manager & Pharmacist Jenna is the staff member assigned to assist in your medical encounter. If I could give negative stars I would. Six days off my meds only to find out they still can't get it for another month. Never give a promise date if that can't be promised. I also asked if everything could be picked up at the same time and was told yes. Only 2 of 4 meds could be picked up after over a month!!! read more

this is the worst Pharmacy I have dealt with in my life. My primary care physician sent a prescription refill three times to them and they continue to deny it was ever received. Every time I want to get my prescription refilled, I have difficulty. Talking to the pharmacist on the phone is totally unhelpful and they're very rude. I'm usually a patient person but I'm now I'm fed up and I'm switching pharmacies. Avoid them at all costs. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I was told they didn't have it on hand but would order it because no other places had it. Waited ALL WEEKEND thinking he ordered it but instead go in today, the following Monday to find out, when they informed me a floating tech DELETED my daughter's prescription because they didn't have it and we asked to have it transferred to another store. So I had to waste a whole day calling my doctor to get the prescription refilled, only to be told that it is not in stock and I will have to wait another 2 to 3 days.. This is not how you treat people people that need medicine that doctors didn't need it to make us feel better. They wouldn't tell us to go pick it up. Therefore this is the worst Cvs I've ever been to they're even worse than Walgreens. read more

I've gone to this pharmacy for 5 years plus, they are always so helpful and kind!!! I haven't had a bad experience yet. I know they can get busy which adds stress especially during the pandemic. I just wanted to leave this here because I've been telling them I'd leave a great review. Thank you CVS Wheat Ridge for being there through this crazy time!!! I don't know how anything gets done here. We have been trying to get a prescription filled for 6 days now and they don't seem to be able to understand instructions from our Drs at the University of Colorado Anshutz campus. We finally gave up and went to King Soopers where they were helpful and had no problems understanding the Drs and was taken care of immediately. I'm so happy to get rid of this pharmacy what a joke. read more

Very rude staff, just generally unkind all I did was walk up to the register after waiting in line and got yelled at. Then the pharmacist blatantly started making fun of me and calling me impatient with the lady other lady that works there. The people who work there are just unpleasant people read more

I wish there was a ZERO STAR rating. I have used CVS in two different states and the customer service is horrible in both states. If you call to speak to a pharmacist you will die before they answer the phone. They leave you on hold for several minutes, so I guess you are not important enough to speak to. I have actually hung up and called back a few minutes later, but to no avail. I used the automated system to refill a medicine for my husband and was told it would be ready the next day. When I went in the clerk said' "Oh no, It isn't supposed to be ready until tomorrow but you can wait and we can have it ready in about 45 minutes" as if it were my fault! I left in a huff and had my husband pick it up the next day. Another time right after this incident I was on hold for over 6 minutes just to ask a question about a new medication. The next day I went in to pick it up and the customer in front of me complained about the slow service she was receiving. She was told that the have plenty of help but they aren't allowed to have too many employees on the job at the same time. Knowing all too well how she felt I decided to have all my prescriptions and my husband's prescriptions sent to Costco which sells them much cheaper than CVS and is just around the corner. You don't even need a club card to have your medicine filled there. My husband had open heart surgery a few years back and is on several medications. Apparently CVS is in it for the money, not the person. If you want to be treated like you matter use any other pharmacy, not a CVS. My and my husband's health are far too important to be treated like a lab rat. read more
