I tried to go local because I had some headaches with another pharmacy. But, unfortunately, my experience with Clear Spring was very clunky. I transferred the prescriptions. Then, my first prescription refill was needed, and they told me there was a shortage (I was aware) and there was no date in sight to get it. Unhelpful. Sorted that out by going elsewhere. Thought I'd give them another chance with another prescription refill. This one needed a prior authorization. I requested it several weeks before I would run out to give time to navigate these hiccups. I was traveling internationally for a few weeks and came back with no communication. I texted them to check and they let me know the prescriptions were ready for pick up. I went to pick them up and the one prescription was still being charged as self-pay/out of pocket for $1k. When I asked, they said it still never got the prior auth. They also had my number incorrect, which would explain why they were not proactive at telling me what was available for pick or up not. Now I'm about to run out of my asthma medication and have no resolution in sight due to the lack of communication. Overall: communication was terrible, service not much better considering all the issues I was up against. Some of that is not their fault, but they didn't handle it very well either. I've transferred my prescriptions back to my last pharmacy. read more

The store in Cherry Creek North filled my prescription right away and texted me that it was ready. Very friendly and efficient service. The website is not good because there's no way for a customer to log on. You have to have a separate app, but the website doesn't tell you that. Filling a lot of prescriptions for a very ill employer. Walgreens was definitely not cutting it so transferred all to Clear Spring Pharmacy. Timely, automated and reliable. The ACE in the hole though is the customer service from Michele. She goes above and beyond and gets questions answered quickly and with accuracy. She is always friendly, has a smile on her face (sometimes behind a mask) but displays the best customer service I've found anywhere of late. When there were any issues, she was alway able to cut through red tape and get an answer or an explanation when necessary. She makes this business shine. read more

I have had nothing but great experiences with Clearspring. Their staff is consistently friendly and helpful. They ship the meds to me at no extra charge via Express Mail. Or, if I chose to pick up myself, they call me when my meds are ready. More importantly, they look out for my best interest. For instance, running a generic prescription through my insurance would have cost me more money than paying for it out of pocket. How that's possible boggles my mind. But they called me to explain and asked me what I wanted to do, rather than just running it through my insurance. Compounded creams take only 1-2 days, faster than Pencol Compounding Pharmacy. Prices are also reasonable, or at least in line with what Pencol charges. My MD recommended this pharmacy and I am so glad that he did. read more

I dropped into the pharmacy for a high dose quadrivalent flu shot because I saw a message on the door stating flu shots were available. Since that was available, I took a seat and waited until the pharmacist wasn't busy so she could administer the injection. It was such a pleasant experience (not the shot, but the overall personal experience). If the bivalent Omicron specific we're available, I would get that there also. read more

PICK A DIFFERENT PHARMACY! Their automatic refill and mail program requires 3 or 4 calls every time just to get the items which by then are 2 weeks or more late. Also, I was on a waitlist since July for Shingrex 2 and they never called, and just like my prescriptions when asked they acted like they'd never heard of me. This despite several frustrated appearances in person - while on a walker - not just inconvenient but infuriating. Incompetent and often rude and dismissive, blaming it on the computer or anything convenient except themselves. If they simply didn't want my business, they sure got what they aimed for. I moved all prescriptions out of their hands today and will never return. read more

So, like most red-blooded 'muricans, I am thoroughly medicated. This qualifies me to review pharmacists. I spend a lot of time with them. I ask them questions. I inquire about new scientific studies and drug interactions. I am basically the person you don't want to get behind in line. But, I am the person that knows a good pharmacy when I see one. I have found this group to be some of the most incompetent people ever. Then I phoned in to try to help them deal with my insurance, and instead of wanting to help get the situation resolved the incompetent lazy employee became sarcastic with me. I spent most of the day doing their job. Never will I use them again! The owners reached out to me to rectify the situation. When they found out that I replied rudely when their employees were sarcastic, rude and lazy. So be forewarned, they don't care. Even someone that works there told me they don't care... I was so disappointed with the service when I came into this Pharmacy. A blonde woman threw a notepad at me to fill out my information and when I handed her my script, informed me my Dr. did not write the prescription correctly and she would have to call her for clear instructions on how to make the compound. My Dr later informed me how rude this woman was on the phone and needed every instruction clarified as if she had never made this commonly prescribed compound before. The woman also made sure I knew it would take all day for her to reach my doc and make this formula. Her demeanor was so nasty and rude, I knew then I would not be back to obtain something that is supposed to support and heal my body made by such a toxic person. Even if you are having an off day, I invite you to consider the field you are in and how you are laying your voice and hands upon that which is supposed to help others. I have let all of my coworkers know about this and my Dr office is also aware and not recommending this compounding pharmacy to patients due to rudeness and incompetence. read more

Communication between Dr, patient and Pharmacy is essential without failure and with respect for all concerned. By not communicating effectively problems or mistakes on a Rx can cause serious issues for all involved. As a patient, I can testify our life's can be affected by missing out on weeks of life, missing events throughout the community, with family and special occasions. I personally must be proactive refilling meds, I imagine every patient must be in order not to run late or go without medication. Rather for depression or diabetes. Patient like myself must be proactive if a reaction to specific compounds has occurred. A reaction created after a overnight Rx was stuck at the USP over the 4th of July holiday. Arriving 5 days later and completely ruined. Without proper communication I used the Rancid medicean. Clearsprings did not hold themselves accountable for meds shipped nor more than communicating a mistake made on a Rx properly to identify effectively with my doctor and Doctor staff wasting my time my doctor's time my doctor's nurses time. No laws exist to leave the patient out of the medication process. Laws do exist by withholding medicean simplyby self serving ego's rather than customer service. DORA does set standards as does the FDA. read more

If you have a life threatening condition requiring medication I don't recommend using this pharmacy. they are very poor at communicating and very slow with service. I recently refilled a Rx. After not hearing anything for a week, I called them to inquire about it. They said they are running behind and they HOPE to have it filled in the next couple days but couldn't give an exact time frame. I said that is unacceptable. I also asked why nobody called to communicate this delay to me to give me the opportunity to go somewhere else sooner. I also told them this is the 2nd or 3rd time they've done this to me. They said communicating with their customers is not their policy. What????? I told them that is completely irresponsible and I've never heard such nonsense. I told them to get me the refill ASSP but I will be using another pharmacy in the future because their behavior is unacceptable. In my opinion, they are threatening the lives of their patients with their poor response times, their irresponsible policies, and unacceptable customer service. When my compounding pharmacy recently closed, I was forced to find a new one. So, I stumbled on Clearspring Pharmacy in Cherry Creek. Let me tell you: I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! Being from a small town, this place reminds me so much of a small town pharmacy. The staff is friendly, and started to recognize me after a couple visits. I did some looking, and found out it is locally owned, which is important to me. Now to the best part: my medication rocks, and has always been ready the next day, after I order it! This is the only compounding pharmacy I have experience with (due to location), so I'm not sure if others are equally as slow, but Clearspring is very slow. I've had to fill 3 specialty prescriptions now, and each have taken numerous days. Most recently, it took 3.5 business days to fill (which is longer than 24-48hrs; 24hrs would be nice but apparently is the exception). I called to get a status each day and kept getting "maybe by 5:30 today", but no. The phone staff (I assume pharmacists) have never been overly friendly, and especially the very first inquiry (being a bit ignorant about compounding pharmacies in general and naturally asking questions), they were down-right condescending (although the checkout is a bit friendlier). The hours aren't great either; I usually end up having to wait until the following Saturday to pick-up, which adds to the delay of having the prescription in-hand. However, the location is good, and the short-term parking in front is usually open. I will try another pharmacy next time. read more

This Pharmacy is the best in Denver! They can compound any medication that your doctor may prescribe. They also fill traditional prescriptions and takes all insurance types. They also have a wide varity of over the counter medications (ibuprofen, supplements, homeopathics) and other pharmacy essentials. The staff is very accomidating and kind. I have my prescriptions mailed to me and I was also offered delivery. This is a great service if you don't live in the Denver area or if you are unable to get out to pickup your Rx.
