And then said if I wanted them to contact my doctor to ask for additional future refills to Reply, yes So I said yes, and what proceeded to happen was a request for a second refill (knowing that I had no refills left and that I just picked one up). This was a tremendous waste of my time, my Dr's time, as well as the staff at Walgreens time. This is not the only erroneous text that I have received. Also, the online ordering system is defective. Every time I think it's going to work quicker I fill out all the information needed for refills, I unfortunately have several. And then it says that an error has come about and nothing has been ordered, please try later. I have tried this probably a dozen times over the years and it is unacceptable. If these issues are not resolved, I will have no choice, but to go to another pharmacy that has good communication and takes to consider my time as well as as their staff members and their pharmacist time. It's in walking distance (about a 7 minute stroll) from the Denver Sheridan and there are trolleys available that run along the street. For it being in a busy area with a lot of foot traffic it was decently organized. It's not the widest of stores but it stretches decently far back. There are travel size items, a souvenir aisle with mugs and shirts etc and then your usual pharmacy related items. I don't remember seeing a ton of items behind locked doors. There's a decent amount of end caps items and even a clearance section. When I came on a Tuesday afternoon around 4pm the cashiers were on the floor cleaning and restocking so it was all self check out. There were about 4 self check out stands.

Then, my first prescription refill was needed, and they told me there was a shortage (I was aware) and there was no date in sight to get it. Unhelpful. Sorted that out by going elsewhere. Thought I'd give them another chance with another prescription refill. This one needed a prior authorization. I requested it several weeks before I would run out to give time to navigate these hiccups. I was traveling internationally for a few weeks and came back with no communication. I texted them to check and they let me know the prescriptions were ready for pick up. I went to pick them up and the one prescription was still being charged as self-pay/out of pocket for $1k. When I asked, they said it still never got the prior auth. They also had my number incorrect, which would explain why they were not proactive at telling me what was available for pick or up not. Now I'm about to run out of my asthma medication and have no resolution in sight due to the lack of communication. Overall: communication was terrible, service not much better considering all the issues I was up against. Some of that is not their fault, but they didn't handle it very well either. I've transferred my prescriptions back to my last pharmacy.

It's enough to make The Mausoleum look sparkly. The service here is negligible, while we did not need assistance, we noted a long line just about everywhere, while over 3/4 of the store is locked up. I made the short, easy walk over from the Brown Palace Hotel to grab some snacks and use their cash-back option for housekeeping. This ended up being a total lifesaver since the Chase Bank ATM vestibule over by Union Station is closed on weekends to prevent people from camping inside. Great, efficient spot to quickly grab your essentials when you are in the area!
