Good Gravy!! Words can't really express the experience this Walmart will slap in your face like a cold, dead fish. I absolutely detest this location. The parking lot is like the day before Christmas at a mall, no matter when you go. The aisles are immensely claustrophobic and the sea of ghetto people, ugly, ignorant immigrants and terrible, terrible faux-hawks is STAGGERING!!! These people would had been eradicated ages ago if it were up to natural selection. Be prepared to go on a wild goose hunt for items on your list. The merchandising is in complete disarray and took me four laps around the pharmacy area to find the shampoo I needed because there are different shampoo brands scattered around the 8 aisles, including four endcaps. So why the extra star? I know there have been complaints about the employees, but I have to say, they're really a mixed bag. The women at the Returns/Customer Service area are about as useful as a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest. Every time I've had to return something, there's usually an employee at the end of the counter conversing very loudly with a friend. I don't know what it is with ghetto people, but they have no reservations blasting their personal business for a whole store to hear. The other woman never seems to know how the register works. With that being said, the majority of the other employees that work there have been nothing but kind and helpful, despite the clientele they have to deal with, hence the extra star. I've worked at the Old Navy by the Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie, so I have had a taste of the people that shop here. Being a resident of Skokie, I seriously don't know where these people are coming from, because none of my neighbors are this rude and ignorant. It's not so much the store that's the problem, it's the people that shop there. Examples: 1. Women dragging their screaming, undisciplined brats across the aisles with complete disregard to anyone else in the store. If I had anticipated all the halflings crashing into my balls, I would had brought my sports cup. 2.Eastern European woman barreling down a congested aisle, with a shopping cart, without even an "excuse me" and bruising my wrist in the process. If she wasn't going as fast as she was, she would had certainly got a punch in the neck. 3. Two obese cows hovering over the Customer Service employee, having a conversation, whilst said employee is asking them questions to process a check they were trying to cash. Hello?! Open up a frickin' bank account!! 4. Picking through a $5 DVD bin, minding my own business, and having a horde of low-lifes descend on me and start rifling through everything in front of me. I honestly don't know what it is about seeing someone examining something that makes people flock to you like a swarm of flies to a dead horse's ass. The same thing happened when I was trying to pick out deodorant. I mean, seriously, do all you A-holes need to bump into me to get the stick of Mitchum I'm reaching for in an otherwise well-stocked shelf? So, it's not so much the employees, but the clientele that makes this a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad Walmart. I've been to the one in Streamwood (since my partner lives out there) numerous times and have never had a bad experience. Well, except for maybe the bad haircuts that are worthy of the Walmartians webpage. But being an immigrant myself, these people need to learn some effing English and manners before they decide to interact with the general public. It's enough to make me wanna punch a baby. read more

I have heard the same things about Walmart as everybody else -- the horror stories about them mistreating customers, its hiring practices, its effect on small businesses and its strong-arming of companies into allowing Walmart to sell their products for less than they would want because Walmart would otherwise go to the competition and decrease their market share. Despite all that, I shop Walmart and so should you. In evaluating this particular corporation, you really have to ask yourself if listening to protestors, celebrities and the news is sufficiently important to you that you are willing to go somewhere else and grossly overpay for whatever you need to buy. I need a pack of beef jerky a day. In 7-11, it costs 7 dollars. In Walmart, that identical item costs 4. On sale, in Walmart, it costs 3. The price reduction is not quite as great on everything they sell as compared to the competition, but generally, if you're buying a brand item you can expect to pay like 1.50 less than in another store. In the end, if something you need costs 7 dollars elsewhere and 4 dollars here, I think theorizing needs to take a back seat to the basic fact that most of us do not have that much money to throw away on making a pointless statement. I doubt Warren Buffett would be whining so much and so loudly about how he gets taxed less on a % than his secretary, if he had 100,000 usd to his name instead of like 40 billion. He's crushed more skulls to get those billions than any of us ever will, so him posturing as St. Francis of Assissi is a bit retarded. And the reality is, if some of us don't shop Walmart, there will be enough who do to make the non-shoppers not matter so much. Couple things of note: to those who have concerns about customer service: keep in mind these are minimum wage employees who constantly deal with difficult people and often work till like 4 AM. Expecting great customer service from them may be a bit unreasonable. Rod R and anybody else who read Rod R's review: there's a lot of misinformation about this floating around on the internet, but healthcare professionals will assure you that some STDs CAN be transmitted through toilet seats -- especially genital herpes. I would argue that it is vastly preferable to shit your pants to getting genital herpes. Soiled pants can be washed and forgotten, but genital herpes, like diamonds, is forever. We bought a family plan with three phones in walmart with t-mobile. In the electronic section and the person who works for t-mobile his name is Taher. And then he show us the family plan and gave us information. Then we bought a family plan but he sold us a very high priced family plan, he cheat on us, he is a traitor. When we had a problem with our phones in 2 days he's not available for service. Then we went a second time and the ZMS David Ming he told us Taher is not Walmart's employee. They don't know if he is officially working for T-Mobile or his own. David's attitude was very unprofessional and he said that he couldnt help us out because it was our problem. We asked a good amount to employee's but they all were rude and didnt want to help us at all. Then we went to the T-Mobile office on Touhy and then we met Simona and the store manager Jose they really helped us and then the Jose said that he would walk with us to Walmart. Then he told us were we bought the phone and the plan. We then asked for David and one of the employee's were trying to call him to talk with us. Then David replied that he did not want to help with a matter concerning T-Mobile. Jose then told the employee that he was a store manager for T-Mobile and he wants to talk with him. Then he said he dosn't know who's Taher. He then said that he wasnt working for Walmart but for T-Mobile. And then he dont know his hours and he dosnt know his number. He didn't now anything, nada, They were only intrested to sell the phone not the customer's problem. Walmart is a good store but they cannot hire these kinds of people who ruin customer satisfaction. The employee's dont know what they are doing. If these people don't want to help customers then they should stay at home. It's worth a visit and is decently organized and you can get literally everything here for low prices. Most of the food is sugary cheap garbage. But I did like the cooking isle selection and prices. Nobody that works here knows where anything is! You could ask them, and they will either say they don't know, or point you in a very vague direction. It also alarmed me that they had a "code Adam" which is a missing child, in the store. People here let their kids run wild, in the parking lot, in the store, almost getting hit by carts. It is chaos on a Saturday. The worst is the electronics department. I found Walmart has some really good deals on electronics, laptops and large televisions. I picked one television out on the display, and waited 30 minutes to find an associate who could help me locate and load the huge box onto my cart. Not only one, but two of the tv's on display were not even in stock. So why do you have them on display????? So we can waste our time choosing one, even two, then find out it's not even carried by Walmart anymore? If you are going to buy electronics here, go online to the website. Good afternoon, We had been using Wal mart vision Center and never had a problem like this. Hope one of you will really read it seriously. My husband had his glasses ordered May 10, 2018. Finally got it this week.Informed to be there anytime except 2:00 to 3:00 since the lens fitter will be on break. We were there yesterday, June 12th, 1:00 PM and the lady told us to come back since they were on break! We went home and today June 14th He came back and the lady who told us to come back was the same lady who fitted the lens, did we miss something? We thought the lens fitter was on break?? he came came home, and then had a call from Mark to come back tomorrow because the lens was not the right one. I think customer service need to know this. Worst. Wal-Mart. Ever. Why do I even come in here? Why? I came in here the day before yesterday at 1045ish and the old man at the door decided to remind me that they close at midnight. Its 10:45 chill out, old man river. Then Wal-Mart decided to close off all the aisles with this neon "fencing" because thy are cleaning the floors or something. I am just moving down the plastic fencing thing a bit to see the Claritin I came there for, I WAS NOT trying to take it down or anything. Then some African dude starts barking at me in the RUDEST way possible, "DO NOT TOUCH, I AM CLEANING FLOOR, GO THE OTHER WAY!". First of all, take it easy. Secondly, don't yell at the customers you have left. They have boxes and other crap in the middle of the ailse which is a fire hazard. It's 12:08 a.m., and sadly, I needed something from your worthless 24 hour Walmart. I pulled up to park, and shockingly, there are about 100 carts flying around the lot, which seems the norm for this garbage place. As usual, I walk inside and see 100 employees walking around, hanging out, and a few people stocking. Not to mention the self checkout lane is backed up. If management had one-third of a brain, they could open up a register to minimize the lines. If they really want to utilize the remainder of that one third of a brain, they could send one person out to collect the unnattended carts, one of which I found pressed against my bumper. Walmart and GE money bank have taken advantage of me. I bought a TV 3 months ago and opened store credit and got a promotion to pay the amount in 12 months without interest and then after excatly three months have finished of the payment they told me that I'm not eligible to the promotion and when I asked to return the TV back they told that I can't do that coz it passed 90 days and the only soultion that I have got are to pay the balance full amount or ccept the interest. Gosh this Walmart is something else. It needs so much work in all aspects! It's always dirty when I go there (Boxes in aisles and everything misplaced). It seems they're always out is stock for items I need and the staff is definitely not friendly or caring. They have a bunch of registers yet they only use a few and the lines are so long and it takes forever to check out! I try my best to stay away. Instead I choose Target down the street. The prices aren't all that different either. I've compared and I'd rather spend those few extra pennies elsewhere. This lace makes me cringe when I think of Walmart and sets a bad example. read more

I wanted to change my tires and after long hassle with some of the staff members they told me that they cannot install my tires because I have a SUV and the ramp is broken!!! Shopped here twice in 2 months and picked up items from an online order and another from their ad online. Both trips were very efficient and C/S was extremely acceptable. The rep at the online pickup was very courteous. He checked items to my satisfaction. The self checkout had the wrong price on one item, manager was paged and came right over and made the correction in time with no hassles at all!
