It's my first time to come to this Five Below location and it is the most organised and neatest of the Five Below's I've gone to. I've been to several in the Chicagoland area since I've been on the hunt for the Block set. They have a fragrance corner and some pretty neat workout paraphernalia. The staff was also ready to help and quite nifty. For some reason my coupon was not working but the lady figured out that for some reason there were 2 bar codes in the email. Not bad. For Five below items its really a place you can get used to. I found a few APPLE products such as covers for Iphone that anywhere else can easily run you over $30 a cover, but here its only $5! True! And yes the quality of their products are really good. Here you can find anything from (like I said above) covers for your iphone to recipe books and all for the same price or lower? I honestly thought this would be another one of those "cheap" imitation places, but I was wrong, its really good quality and not bad. They also stock items from a whole isle of school supplies to even make up and accesories for the girl (or guy) who likes trying various shades of nail polish's. Not that I am judging since I too buy from here being a make up artist and all. If you want to have a snack, hey they have those here too. If you want products for your Kanine friends (or cat), here you go. Lots of stuff that you may not find in other stores so check it out and tell me what you think. read more

My eight year old loves this story as soon as we walked in a woman by the name of Lissette help my daughter, later I found out she was the manager. She made sure she was patient and kind while my child was going through multiple squish mellows. She had more patience than I did. While she was helping us she was still attentive to other shoppers and made sure the store was in order and clean. The staff member would look to her for direction while we where there . I had a great experience with the manager Lisette. She helped me get everything I need. The store was very busy and I still felt valued as a customer. This is a clean well managed store. read more

What a wonderful, beautiful place. If you aren't fussy about brand names, Five Below is the place to go. They're all great with friendly staff (from what I've seen so far), and clean, (mostly) organized stores. And of course: CHEAP prices. For years, I've come to Five Below solely to buy candy to satisfy my sickening sweet tooth, but it was only very recently that I really took time to explore the store and everything they have to offer. In the past two months, I've bought bedsheets, essential oils, chargers, flash drives, shirts, and more. Again, if you are high maintenance in terms of your brand loyalty and perceived quality, Five Below probably isn't the place for you. But despite the low prices, nothing I've bought here has been lacking of quality. I feel like when most people think of Five Below, they think of a brick-and-mortar version of the Wish app, but that's not the case at all. Definitely consider going to Five Below for any random items you may need for an affordable price! Since this review is primarily for the Five Below at Belmont/Kimball, I will say that this store is the best Five Below location in Chicago. The primary reason for this is the Ten Below section! It's a small section of "higher-end" items to include electronics, larger home items, and more that rotate every so often. This section is crazy. From Ten Below, I've bought a huge 64 oz water bottle, a 30000mAh portable battery, and a charging station with a small built in portable battery. I drink a lot of water so the bottle has upped my workout game a LOT. The portable battery has a digital battery indicator, and it charged my Galaxy S10 from 20% to 100% using only about 3-4% of the full thing. The charging station sits on my desk and is just super useful and has helped me manage my cables way better. Point is, all of these products are amazing despite being so cheap. You sacrifice mainstream brand recognition in order to save money on an equally quality product, and I think that's a worthwhile trade-off. Love Five Below, and love the Belmont store a lot! Definitely coming back here several times every month. read more

Think of this place as a dollar store PLUS. As the name states, everything in the store is below $5. What separates this store from the regular dollar store is the quality of products here are much better. I recently purchased some headphones from a dollar store for a $1 and I don't think they lasted 6 hours before one side went out. Here I purchased some ear buds for $5 dollars and they are the quality of a SkullCandy type and still work. I also bought a $5 portable mini usb charger that has been a life saver since Im always out and phone is dying. Works perfectly. Place is ideal for students. Most of their products come in crazy colors like hot pink, electric blue and stuff like that lol. Plus they have a good assortment of T-shirts that all are under $5. read more

Let me handle the introductions... dollar store meet Spencer's Gifts. Spencer's Gifts meet dollar store. Need a place where you can get a $1 spatula, some paper plates, a rubber skeleton arm for Halloween, a $5 snarky comment t-shirt and an "I love zombies" key lanyard? Well if so you are going to be very happy with Five Below. They have everything you'd expect from an average dollar store (candy, cleaning supplies, toothpaste) and a Spencer's, from what I can glean from my brief peeks as I walk by when forced to go to a mall (lava lamps, mini skate boards, black light posters, temporary tattoos, etc). They also have a lot of stuff for kids including a pretty good selection of foot, basket and soccer balls all for five bucks. They have some real Hollywood release $5 DVDs and a ton of computer and smart phone accessories. I have to admit I bought a few "As Seen on TV" items including a Snuggle and a Sham-wow for $5 and $3. I even almost bought a pocket folding chair that I'm pretty sure I'd never use and would likely give to the Salvation Army while still in it's original box. They just opened a few days ago and the stock feels a little thin. I'm sure soon it'll fill up with more garbage priced at five dollars or under. I'm also not a huge fan of the dance party soundtrack but over all the place is solid for all your low quality, low priced retail needs. I'm not sure they need a uniformed security guard at the door giving everyone the crazy eye but what do I know. I'll go back when I need some more crap. read more

I picked up an dorable Lisa Frank Halloween 90-piece set of pencils, erasers, etc for just $5! And 3 pairs of foam angel wings for $1 each. I felt this compelling need to update: you know those $30 Speck cell phone cases they have, like, everywhere? Only $5 at Five Below. Yup, that's right. The actual brand name (and a lot of cool knock offs of somewhat comparable quality too). You may not get exactly the color you want, but hey, that's a great deal. If you riffle through all of them, you are likely to find one you like. I bought one as a gift for someone in a cool camo style (totally up his alley) and got a pretty decent knock off in this graffiti style for myself. Yes, I've dropped my phone a few times since (D'OH) and it survived. They have all these hilarious blingy ones too with rhinestones!! Ha! I've found so many cool things overall at this store -makes for cute cheapy gifts too to brighten a friend's day! Definitely a cheap way to have fun shopping without breaking the bank! read more

So I am a random person that will totally walk into random stores that I dont know what they are....that is how I find the most fantastic deals. So this store...I have never seen before...decided to go in and check it out. What a surprise...its like a cheap ass Party City!!!! They had a ton of Valentines Day stuff and St Pattys stuff. I got a ton of crap for $15. So the most expensive thing in there is $5. I couldnt believe it. They have a variety of stuff though...shirts, decorations, cell phone accessories, toys for kids, yoga mats, bags, candy, etc...its kind of a random mix, but it was definitely a little gem...haha. I fell in love with this place!! A friend of mine told me about it since my wallet broke while I was back home. Everything is either $5.00 or less. I spent a good $43.00 here. They have an exercise section where you can buy free weights, exercise bands, yoga mats for cheap. With school starting around the corner or probably is starting already, there are decorations for dorm rooms. Makeup, nail polish, a lot of tech stuff for phones, cords, cases. There is a book section which in fact were not bad in price. The quality of things are great, I think so anyways. I doubt they have this store in Colorado. Bummer. Oh and I didn't find a wallet here but bought a whole lot of other stuff. Clean store as well and staff is very helpful! read more

If i could give this business 0 stars I would. I came in one day with my wife and kids. Everything was going great for the most part my kids were running around for a little bit until I overheard one of YOUR employees say "see this is why I can't stand Mexicans and they dumbass kids" she then noticed I overheard her because we made eye contact. When I asked her for her name she told "that isn't any of your business" I was really shocked and humiliated by the prior comment that was made. Not only was she speaking about us, the adults, but about children as well. Very unprofessional. I then overheard one of her coworkers talking to her and they called her "Delilah". I will NOT be returning after this experience. What a concept. Everything in the store is $5 and under. How can you go wrong? The store is full of goodies, it's hard not to purchase at least one item when you go in. I can get spend a lot of time browsing and sometimes walk out with a basket of items I probably don't need.. But that's just my shopaholic tendencies flaring up. cheap cheap cheap! this is a great place to go to buy random, inexpensive, cheap (quality) stuff. i remember going into this place after being at a certain CHEAP clothing store nearby (i will not admit to the name) and thinking, holy shi!t! i need this, and this, and some of this and these too (although i really did NOT). the first time i came here i bought the following: yoga mat sunglasses laptop sleeve yoga mat: no. it's the slipperiest yoga mat ever. but i use it when i'm in a pinch and my other yoga mat's in the car. sunglasses: still going strong and still using them! laptop sleeve: pretty cool color, still works! 2nd time i went i got st. patty's day gear. i got really cute green feather earrings, a shirt, and green body glitter. totally added to my festive st. pats gear. the earrings were tres cute. you can find anything from toys, electronic accessories, gag gifts, sports equipment, candy, women's accessories, graphic tees... expect a lot of cool crap, but it's crappy quality! you get what you pay for, but it's supposed to be expected. read more

I friggin' love this store. I don't know what else to say. Every time I visit I end up finding something I may or may not need...but want. They all kinds of stuff. Some is knock off, some is probably discarded overstock from a bigger retailer. Who cares, you can find all kinds of stuff. I got one of those retro phone handsets that you plug into your cell for $5. $5! They also have an array of cell phone covers, their Samsung Galaxy S3 selection is ever growing. I have been to this location several times especially when I am near the belmont blue line stop. Clean location. Great items, also you could find certain stuff that other stores don't carry. It is always good to look around, the tshirt section is pretty spot. Different shirts sometimes but still a great selection. I do like this store and the one near my house. Never fully experienced the wonder that is this store until recently. It was really fortuitous, I needed to buy some gifts for a random assortment of people and didn't have a lot of $$ - this store had the answer. I think they change it up often enough that I can go back a few times a year and find little odds and ends at super reasonable prices...and not all of it falls under the category of, "Well what do you expect for $5" Some of it is a really good deal....I'm a fan! read more

I went to the store to buy a case for my phone and I saw one that was good but the package was open. I was trying to fix it but then the stupid security guard was telling me "don't open the package" and I reply "I'm trying to fix it." and he starts to fucking mumble saying crap and I swear I was about to throw the package and tell him to fucking fix it. they have good products for cheap. great selection of toys, jewlery, make up, holiday items, games, posters, pretty much anything. they even have a .10 cent candy selection!!! the only thing i had a problem with is the staff. they always act like they're busy so they don't have to talk to you. i also noticed most of the staff are kids which i don't have a problem with but they have no clue what customer service is. read more

If I could give ZERO STARS I would! The staff at this location are rude and unprofessional! One employee was complaining about customers and kids messing up the toy area. Another employee yelled across the aisles for me to get my fucking ass out the store! The time was 8:30 pm and the store closes at 9:00 pm.
