This Big Lots here in Chicago is the great place to shop for clothes, foods, and other things that you need everyday. They have all the items that all people will be amazed, they are so organized, well-stocked, well-maintained, and clean. They are also updated especially around the holidays or even when Christmas is coming. Their store are well-decorated and bright every time there is an event coming. Their items has a fabulous prices, you can save a lot buying and shopping at their store compared when you buy to other stores around. Their employees are so friendly and helpful, they will greet you once you entered their store, and they show you a big smile. All of them are so willing to help all of their customers, either assist or answer the questions that the customers asks. They are so convenient in a way that I found all the things I need so quickly and let me tell you, I bought all the things I need at their store in such fair prices, I got some discounts too. I was passing by on Diversey and there was a guy with a sandwich board proclaiming 20% off of everything at this Big Lots. My curiosity was peaked and I stopped in. The name of this chain store reminds of a song called Big Fun by Inner City. OK so my brain works funny. But at 20% off we're definitely having Big Fun at Big Lots. I didn't really need anything so I stocked up on essentials like detergent, tp and other paper products and some gardening supplies. I've bought coffee from them before and agree with Amaliya that you can find some decent coffee at a good price. I picked up some Margaritaville coffee which was $4.00 after the 20% off. It's $10.95 on Ebay or Amazon and surprisingly good. If you live in the area or are passing by, a good place to stock up and check out the current closeouts that come through the store. Big Lots is a nice store for home essentials and other stuffs. I went here last Monday and amazed by the bunch of items that we mostly needed at home. It is a pretty big store with a lot of sections and selections. There is a furniture section like couches and sofas in different sizes and colors that seems so comfortable. I also found the bathroom section and I am so happy with the towels that I found in there, all of it was cotton which I really like cause it is better than using silky cloths. I also found a lot of pillows and throw pillows while I was walking and decided to buy some just for an extra because they are so cute. Everything is well organized and most of the items are usually in stock. Some of the items are also in sale. I bought quite a lot than I expected and I was amazed because the price is cheaper than any other stores. I really enjoyed being in here and will definitely be back. read more

I have absolutely no shame in admitting that I love Big Lots. They recently just started a reward card where you can gain 20% off coupons after making 10 purchases of at least $20. I just received one the other day for joining and you betcha I made a bee line for Big Lots. I openly admit that I am OCD and a neat freak. I am obsessed with the sterilite 5 drawer storage units at Big Lots. I use them in my pantry to organize tupperware, and I use them to organize my sons toys. It makes cleaning and organizing fast and efficient. They're see thru so kids find what they want asap and know where their toys belong. I also scored with heavy duty 6 hook chrome over the door hangers to hang up his hoodies and jackets. Love that I can completely organize for very little money. I also discovered their coffee. I drink at minimum a pot a day. They have something very similar to Mexican Espresso that only costs $3.50 for 2lbs. I really really love this coffee. I have also discovered that they sell some great discontinued toys that are hard to find and sought after on eBay. read more

Seriously. Anyone who is not insane will love Big Lots. I get all my kitchen items from here. For example: I've seen some of their stuff (mainly Farberware) at Bed Bath and Beyond for twice the price. These include stovetop/oven utensils, counter accessories, flatware, etc. They also have good storage bins/waste baskets and some cleaning supplies. You can get bottled water for cheap and some hair products. This particular location has decent furniture, not the best... but you can check it out often for new shipments. I wouldn't buy anything that you need to do heavy-duty work with, though. All in all, you save tons of cash, especially if you bargain shop. I got a Pier 1 piece for 60% there! read more

Bobs Red Mill products!!! Cheaper than anywhere else!!! Gluten-free, wheat free these terms also mean expect to pay more money! However all is not lost when you go to Big Lots. I was able to purchase several items for almost half the price of the same brand in Whole Foods or as I call it "whole paycheck". Its definitely worth the trip! This store is sort of a mess, but they usually have a good selection of bedding and kitchen gadgets. I've also found some good deals on items for basic car maintenance. Four new floor mats for $12? And they're nice? Score. I prefer to drive a bit further out to Niles to the Big Lots on Dempster because it's a nicer store despite being in a smaller space. read more

I came into the location looking to buy a bed frame and some other items but was forced to go to Walmart next door due to neglect and poor customer service. I stood by receiving door after the floor associate paged for anyone to furniture and observed multiple people joking and laughing meanwhile a customers waits for 30 minutes for what was 5 minutes at your competitor ridiculous. I will not be visiting location again the stores out in the suburbs give way better service to customers read more

I love, love, LOVE Big Lots! It is full o' bargains! Household items, groceries, pet supplies, furniture -- you name it -- it's all there. One caveat -- Big Lots is a closeout store., so their stock of merchandise varies from week to week. You might find your favorite laundry detergent there on one visit (for $2) and not see it when you go back. It's really a browsy sort of store. You always find stuff you need at incredible bargains. But, if you find stuff that use love and use often, SNATCH IT UP! They may not have it at all next time! read more

I walked into Big Lots and my first thought was WOW this store has a lot of stuff. I decided to pass on the tree but picked up a few items that were fairly inexpensive.
