This store actually is just beside Sam's club. Which is convenient. The store is bright clean, has a lot of choices, clothes, shoes, dress, handbag, bathroom bedroom stuff. Small furnitures too. Do check it out if you are in Sam's club. read more

Marshall's sells off price discounted home furnishings, clothing, accessories, etc. Its a good place to find decent deals on a regular basis. This particular location seems to be understaffed or just not run very efficiently. We came during work to pick up some things for work. The line at the checkout was growing with a lot of impatient people because they had two registers open while three other employees stood around talking and not helping. It doesn't seem like they were interested in helping everyone get checked out quickly. I'm not going back to this location to shop. read more

I went into Marshall's today on Main and McCormick in Evanston. Marshalls is my FAVORITE go to store because of the clothes and prices. I was excited to shop for my interview tomorrow. I gathered a couple of items I wanted to try on, however when going to the fitting room there was no associate there and all the dressing rooms were open so I assumed I could go in. I was already halfway undressed when Annie the employee starts banging on the door like she was the police asking how many items I have . I said oh I'm sorry nobody was here as I was dressing to open the door and with the nastiest attitude she says well I'm here now. So I open the door and show her how many items I have. She stood outside guarding the door as if I was going to take off with the clothes when I was just trying to show my partner the outfit to see if it looked good or not. she turned around to look at me up and down with such a judge-mental face. I don't go to Marshall's to be treated in such manner. She seemed miserable and irritable but it's not my fault that she was not guarding her station the way she should have. People with attitudes like Annie should not be working in a customer service setting. I have managed various retail stores and have never spoken to a customer in that manner nor allowed my associates to speak to customers in that time . Annie needs A LOT more training with her customer service delivery if Marshall's wants to create clientele retention. read more

I feel that in recent years, Marshalls has become the red-headed stepchild to T. J. Maxx. But while driving through Evanston yesterday, thought I'd give ol' M's a fresh chance. And SO ecstatic I did! It's like a treasure chest up in here, really. My purchases totaled all of $69 with tax and included the following: Paper Denim and Cloth cream-colored faux leather jacket: $15! Carlos Santana sexy, strappy nude sandals: $35 A feminine, frilly, floral tank: $15 So the jacket may be a little last season, but for $15 on clearance... I'll risk looking like a fashion victim. Minus one star for the somewhat long wait in the checkout lane. Too many people were lunchin' at the same time, according to my cashier. read more

5 stars is a lot of stars for a big business (I reserve 5 stars for small businesses because of the personable experience I usually have) but Marshalls in Main Commons deserves 5 stars for amazing customer service. Management is fantastic and so genuinely helpful at this location (I'm reviewing this in May of 2016 so I can't speak for times before). The manager here was on her way to a break but I stopped her to ask her questions about a product without a tag. She quickly took the time out and found a similar product and provided me with a tag (and gave me a discount because the item I wanted was on sale, too!). The Marshalls in particular has always been clean and organized. They have a ton of amazing products like Kate Spade and Tory Burch. They also have an incredible selection of shoes but you have to go quick because they run out of popular sizes fast. I love this Marshalls because everyone has always been so incredibly helpful. 5 stars. read more

For a Marshall's store this has got to be a flagship location. They have a multitude of shoes, ladies it's worth a drive out to check on. I was surprised to find a few types of Cole Haan driving shoes for men and for a price better than a department store clearance sale. Lots and lots of baby clothes and the Men's dept has got quite a few styles of classic button downs with a tie and or cuff links and handkerchief for under $30 dollars. As a gift of a clean shirt for a Monday morning, it's a good deal. If you have kids that love Ben 10, they currently have many toys and sports balls with this theme and the price is value reasonable. This used to be a good place... I think they discontinued the selling of suits or suit jackets at this location. I was here with my brother yesterday and we kind of were reminiscing about the days this was a good store. Believe it or not there are some Marshalls that have good selections from a fashion perspective but not this one. The store manager tried to tell me that nothing has changed at this store in the last few years but under further interrogation he has only been at that store for the past 2 months and he knows jack squat about what the store was vs what it is. tip. I've shopped at this location several times and always had pleasant experiences with the staff and customer services. I once bought some shape-wear and had to return it because I almost suffocated in it. The young lady was nice and understanding of my dilemma and allowed me to exchange it for a larger size. They do carry cute wine glasses and other home products at a fraction of department store prices. Yea, I know, I sound like the commercial. Well, it's true. Where else can you get a genuine leather Calvin men's wallet for $10? I can't think of another place. read more

When I arrived at the check out line the cashier greeted me in a friendly manner but then immediately turned to her co-worker and began talking trash about the customer before me. When she asked me a question/opinion about the customer I was so disgusted I just grunted and looked away. She then proceeded to ask me if I was okay. A moment later, a screaming child and his dad stood in the line and the child hit his father. The cashier cursed in front of me and spouted out her opinion on that matter as well. I don't know when our society lost their respectfulness or professionalism but this blatant disregard for the customers is what makes me shop at non-corporate stores. This marshals was horrible and we waited an hour and they compared a $100 speaker to the speaker that only costs $25 and we purchased many products I do not recommend this was a horrible experience and we got nothing in return for this survive we could have at least got a sorry or a discount .. read more

This store has come a long way, and I am glad to have this place nearby. I love me a good bargain (my favorite section of any store is the clearance section), and there are many bargains to be had here. Unlike some other Marshalls, this one seems to be pretty well maintained with their racks and items usually pretty organized. Whether it's undergarments, swimwear, dresses, ski pants, shirts, jerseys, toys, gourmet foods, housing items, notebooks, cards (all things I've bought at this Marshalls) and everything in between you are sure to find a good deal here. read more

Nice place small but has lot to offer unfortunately customers are not nice they throw items on floor including clothes and dishes shameful .

I really enjoy shopping here for clothes, shoes, and home decor. My only complaint is with the manager (James) that roams the store. The way he slowly walks near me whilst making eye contact without saying a single word makes me feel uncomfortable. Who does that? Then, stands about 5 feet away and just keeps staring. This isn't the first time he's done this and i notice he does this with basically all customers. Just mean-mugging customers. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable today, to the point ilI just left the store. read more

This place sucks. I can't find anything I would even want to wear here. And I couldn't find not 1 pair of dress pants black in my husbands size which is a basic 36 32... wtf? Finally a Marshall's that has an actual shoe department. I can never get in and out without a ridiculous amount of fabulously priced shoes by fabulous designer's. AND...I was able to get ALL my children's school shoes there in one stop and never paid more than 19.99 per pair - even for my 3 year old's New Balance, size 8 WIDE (she has such fat little feet - but don't tell her that...). Home, fashion (I have guidance here as well), husbands suits and underwear - it just hits it all in one place, one credit card (don't tell him that...). Aaahhhh....... read more

This is the closest Marshalls to me and is always filled with nice/helpful staff as well as a clean atmosphere. There is a plethora of parking available and it's next to Food 4 Less + Gas 4 Less which are both super awesome services to take advantage of while you're there! They also are always stocked with a ton of cute women's shoes, kitchenware, pet supplies, bedding, hair products, electric appliance accessories (USB cords, phone cases, extension cords, etc.) Recently, I noticed that this store started stocking more fitness items too (kettlebells, dumbells, ab mats, blender bottles, and designer workout clothing). The only thing lacking is their make-up/nail polish but that's not that big of a deal for me. Also some of their women's blouses are lackluster, but that's to be expected. read more

They seem to be lacking inventory but what really made me give a bad review is that I was told I couldn't get a refund because I didn't have my receipt, although I paid with a credit card. I was surprised how nice and clean this store was since the location is a little iffy and not off a busy street...I figure most people would head a few short miles to the Old Orchard location (which is sub-par) This store has a very extensive home goods selection and really nice things on their clearance racks. Designer women's clothes are plentiful as well. The long lines in the check out area moved really fast too. Overall, I was very impressed. Typically a store like this on a Saturday afternoon would be a nightmare, but not this location! read more

I do most of my cloths shopping at this place. They have 'defective' cloths with low prices. Usually you can never see what is wrong with it, but they cut the tag to indicate it has a defect. Anyhow, if you are looking for name brand cloths for cheap, come here. Sure beats department store prices. At this particular store, they have a large selection. read more

After shopping at several fabulous Marshalls, I was super disappointed in this one. In fact, I walked out empty-handed the second time I visited, which rarely happens at my hometown's Marshalls.
