Wow! Mexican woven blouses for kids or women
    Claudia M.

If you are looking for a Mexican woven blouse for kids or women this gift shop has got them. This type of blouse is hard to find in Chicago. Many people buy them when they want to celebrate Mexican holidays like Cinco de Mayo or El dia de la Independencia. Moms also buy them to celebrate and dress up their children on December 12th, El dia de la Virgen de Guadalupe. Anyway, now you know! I also remember buying my mom a beautiful nativity set that she saw and fell in love with. I came back the next day to get it for her. This was a few year ago. I'm glad I rediscovered this little shop. The owner is a very nice lady who will answer all of your questions.

I confirmed these terms multiple times. I also informed them in advance that I would be bringing 15 bags. I arrived in the loading zone for my 2 PM appointment as instructed. The manager directed me to unload all 15 bags and place them in their intake area so the evaluation could begin. She then told me I could not stay parked there and needed to find parking elsewhere, despite my having asked in advance where to park and receiving no response. I followed her instructions exactly. When I returned, I was told I was late and could not be seen. The same manager who accepted my bags, directed their placement, and sent me to park used the time it took me to follow her own instructions as the reason to deny my appointment. The explanation then changed entirely. This was not a valuation appointment. It was a full onboarding session requiring personal and banking information, which is why they were unable to evaluate even a few of the bags. The exact opposite of what I had been told in writing. When I asked how they planned to evaluate 15 bags in one hour while completing onboarding, there was no answer. What followed was repeated pressure to leave my items there despite my having declined clearly and multiple times. My bags were already in their intake area. The terms had already changed. And they kept pushing. When I pointed out the discrepancy and began documenting the interaction, it escalated immediately. She said "no" when I asked to record the convo; hence, I took a photo, which is legal in a public retail space. The manager moved toward me and put her hands on my phone. When she could not provide any rationale for the misrepresentations, she loudly called security and had me escorted out. As I was already walking out the door, she followed me and loudly threatening to call the police, first over the photo, then claiming I was causing a disturbance because I turned my back to her, as I was actively leaving at her request. No one acknowledged the discrepancy. No one attempted to resolve it. The response to a legitimate concern was escalation, intimidation, and removal. If you are planning to bring valuable items to this location or any RealReal location, confirm everything in writing before you go. Once your items are in their intake area, store, warehouse, the dynamic changes. Update: Within hours of posting this review and submitting a formal complaint, I received an automated email from The RealReal informing me that my account has been permanently closed. No one addressed the physical contact made by their staff member. No one addressed why the terms of my appointment changed after my bags were already in their intake area. No one addressed the pressure I received to leave my items in the store overnight.

Haley arranges my consignments seamlessly from time of pick up (or drop off) to when the items go live on the RealReal website. The new RealReal boutique on Walton Street is very fun (and quite addictive) to shop. They showcase an excellent selection of jewelry and handbags that I adore. You could easily not even know that you were shopping consignment because the items are pristine and merchandised so beautifully. Chelsea and Julia are spectacular, and I cannot recommend enough for the chic style suggestions and assistance. I highly recommend Chicago RealReal for consigning and shopping!

Parking is convenient and easy to access, though some spots can feel a bit tight. What stood out most was the quality and variety of stores. I loved seeing favorites like Calvin Klein, American Eagle, and Bath & Body Works, along with many luxury retailers. It truly feels like there's something for everyone, no matter your style or budget. Overall, this mall offers a wide range of shopping experiences and does a great job catering to different tastes so I'd definitely come back.

So let me get this straight: Not only are you now charging $13 for parking that was free for years,…read morebut you've outsourced the 'experience' to a tech company that tracks my every move. It's transparently greedy. We all know you're too cheap to install actual kiosk boxes, so you've offloaded the work onto the customers. You think it's 'convenient' because we don't have to download an app and can just 'text to pay,' but that's just a clever way to link my phone number and credit card to your invasive computer vision surveillance. Standing in a drafty garage, scanning QR codes, and handing over my personal data just to spend money at your stores is not 'innovation'--it's a data-mining chore. Between the constant plate-scanning and the 'AI' tracking my vehicle, you've turned a simple shopping trip into a privacy nightmare. I'll be taking the 'convenient' route of shopping online or driving to a suburban mall that still understands what 'free parking' means and doesn't treat its patrons like test subjects in a tech lab.

We were shocked, confused, and honestly embarrassed, in public for something we didn't do. They didn't ask politely or explain anything. They just assumed. No proof. No apology. nothing We cooperated and showed them we had nothing, and instead of admitting their mistake, they gave us attitude and let us go like we were guilty. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable, especially when you treat young customers like criminals just because we're teens or don't "look" like your usual shoppers. We came to shop, not to be profiled or harassed. I will not be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone who values basic respect.

While this short poem pretty much sums up my 30-second visit at Oriental Boutique, it is also an acrostic that describes the lady's attitude and the service. I was looking for a traditional Chinese dress (i.e. Qi Pao) for my girlfriend, whom I am going to marry. However, most of the designs cater to kids or tourists (that might explain why most positive reviews were written by non-Asian customers... just saying!) and very few of them are for adults. As someone who grew up in an ethnically Chinese background, I had seen and worn more culturally authentic and better designed traditional gowns and dresses. Many designs displayed in the store seem "oriental" in a western sense or as in what westerners think "oriental" should look like, but this is just my subjective observation and honest opinion. The lady was on the phone all the time, and when I asked her question, she literally answered, "no photo, goodbye." Okay. BYE. NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could have given a zero or a negative number.
