Good old Walmart. I shop here for most things I can't get at Costco. The selection is ok, the service is ok, and the quality is ok. So it is just another Walmart. I do like that it is fairly consistent in prices, and price match means if other stores drop in price you're still ok. This morning we were shopping and were checking out in the self check out lane when my husband experienced a medical emergency. He fell to the floor and couldn't get up so I called 911. Walmart personnel and customers rushed to assist. I asked to have my purchase voided and the associate said no problem. While waiting for EMS the associate asked it wanted to go ahead and complete my purchase so I said ok but just as she started to ring up my purchases EMS arrived and quickly took my husband away so I asked if she would please void the purchase again and she was so pleasant when she said it would be no problem. I also had to fill out my personal information so the store could record the incident. Luckily my husband was fine and was able to return home. The thing I appreciate is the I got a call to check on my husbands status. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the associate who called but I thought was a nice thing to do and above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Walmart. read more

Okay, closer to 4. Maybe 3 3/4 stars. I think it's pretty obvious that everybody likes Walmart because of their cheap prices, and because you can buy anything from there. Now, you can even grocery shop there if you like. BUT...even though we go there all the time and will continue to do so, we can't stand the customer service. IT'S TERRIBLE!! I can't count how many times we've asked someone for help only to be told, "Oh, I don't know" or the most recent, "I've never heard of that item" without even looking on the computer for it. I'm pretty damn sure that these bozos don't have ALL of their inventory memorized, so since this is the 21st century, I'd appreciate at least faking like you're actually trying to help us by checking your inventory online or something. We've even asked people where items were located in their store and they didn't know (even though they were twiddling their thumbs in that designated area). And some of them had the audacity to NOT even get someone who may know the layout. How can "oh, sorry, I don't know" qualify as an answer that terminates your customer service interaction? Filipinos nowadays, I tell you!! Nah, not to be racist ('cause I'm Filipino, too), but it always seems to be that Asian persuasion. I know we all from Hawaii, but damn!! Seriously. Work for your money. Next time, check the ethnicity when you get crappy service. I bet I'm right. Lots of parking. They got pretty much everything. Prices can't be beat. Lines move fast. And when we asked her again, she gave the attitude that she did not want to help us. Then, no one came to help any of us. Just left this store and I have to tell you that out of the four Walmarts in the area that I visit, the Mililani store staff has to be the rudest of them all! From the dude outside getting the shopping carts to the cashier. Your all rude and need an attitude adjustment. I like their parking stalls - they're a little wider than average stalls so you don't feel like you gotta suck it in (that much) when getting in/out of your car. (Although they aren't as wide as Costco stalls. ) 3 Stars because: - the bathrooms are pretty dirty - they're always moving things around (takes forever to find stuff) But... - staff is always friendly - prices are great - one stop for everything you need PLUS! You can get your vision checked, glasses and contacts here. (Which is what I'm sitting here doing right now.) Staff is knowledgeable and really warm and friendly. Parking: There are lots of parking stalls. I've went to this walmart for years and I never had a problem with any of the workers here. I wouldn't drive out of my way to go to this walmart since we have a few on the island now. I only go here if I am in the area which is hardly ever. read more

This place is a damn joke, they NEVER have what we usually buy. The shelves are ALWAYS empty yet there is pallets of crap all over the store. This place has gone down dramatically over the years and it has gotten worse since the remodel. So sad Walmart....so so sad. The good thing about this Walmart is there are always plenty of cashiers open so there usually isn't much of a wait. There's also a do it yourself section that moves pretty fast as well. In my experience, the cashiers are somewhat rude. The last four times I have been in there, the cashiers did not even say hello to me or in any way acknowledge my existence. The whole process was done without a word. I'm sorry but that's no way to encourage repeat customers. Would it really kill you to lift your head up, make eye contact, smile and say hello to your customers? Second of all, the selection in this store STINKS! They have NO selection when it comes to kitchen items (towels, table clothes, placemats etc...) and the only selection they do have is the most ugly Hawaiian print garbage you have ever seen. I understand Hawaii is all about promoting themselves but come on...how many flippin ugly flowers, Hawaiian shirts, flip flops, Hawaiian plates, Hawaiian cups and Hawaiian table clothes do we need to see? Ugh.... If you are not pressed for time, go visit the Walmart on Kunia Road behind Denny's. It is SO much nicer and the cashiers are friendly. Hey, it's Walmart. I go here for cheap everything, from canned food, to breakfast food (eggs, milk, OJ, cereal), motor oil, toiletries, bike tire tubes, and the occasional Casio watch, yearly purchase of basketball shoes and a funny t-shirt here and there. Had to return something to mililani walmart un opened on Wednesday. Customer Service manager, Gina was so rude, looked like she didn't want to be there, spoke badly of the employee who called out sick,etc. After finally getting my refund I went to the jewelry section to purchase something they keep behind counter . Sales associate ,Remy , was rude, didn't look at me,kept speaking in her naitive tongue to her partner, was not helpful whatsoever. There were no prices on the items I wanted so she looked annoyed. This store is ridiculous! The most racist Walmart I've ever been to. So this just happened.....I'm fair skin and so are my kids.... my wife is black and birthed me white kids, I don't know what to say..... We paid for our products which was about 200$ and was walking out when my wife noticed the two self checkout workers in yellow telling our daughter "where are you going?", "come here", "stay away from her"(my wife), "your family is here"...... like Foreal?! My wife quickly grabs our daughter and walks out and tells me what just happened....... I go in and confront the two ladies and ask them "why are you telling my daughter to stay away from my wife?"..... they replied " I didn't think that was her daughter".... I say "why?" They reply "she's white and they didn't look like each other."....... are you serious?! My wife was in tears crying outside! She never thought this would happen her..... because of this racist store my wife is now scared to go anywhere with our kids..... she's scared that the next time the cops will be called or someone will try band separate her from our kids again! Sells just about everything you would need: appliances, food, furniture, music, electronics, bathroom necessities, clothes, jewelry, and even has a mcdonalds. They also have the self check out lines which are cool and the garden check out lines if you don't want to pay by the regular cash register lanes. Service is decent. Depends on who is helping you. A lot of the workers look like their straight out of high school. Just make sure that if you do need assistance you try to understand them because some have accents, especially the filipinas. Ever since they changed the store and moved things around it has been harder finding things. Its great exercise if your not in a big hurry to just walk around since it is a big store. The mcdonalds here is ok. Service is pretty decent. The cashiers are ok, at least they know what their doing. Electronics is ok, at least they have people always working there if you need something that is locked in a glass case. There is an older filipina lady who works behind jewelry that is kind of annoying though. She is kind of like the grandma type that loves to lecture the young ones. I occasionally see her lecturing a young person here and there. I know this because me and my friend came for ear piercings and she talked to us about unnecessary crap, but she wasn't that mean. I thoroughly enjoy the indoor McDonalds. When me and my friends had to work on a project, they were kind enough to let us work without ordering anything. We stayed for around 3 hours! They McDonalds also has wifi (or so I've heard of), with a very clean and "tech-savvy" bathroom. As for the store itself, they have great tolerance for children and teens. I had a good time while purchasing a product with one of the cashiers, and the self-checkout is really helpful. I am rating down one for some limitations in what they sell compared to other Walmarts (ex. fabric). Overall, it's a very good store, with above average service. read more

This review is for the photo center of WalMart. For starters.... WHERE IS EVERYBODY?!?!?! I went to make a copy of some pictures from my phone. Their new picture system seemed like it was still in the beta testing phase because it was not working for me. After about 15 minutes of trying to figure out WTF, I started looking around for some assistance. I spy the one guy wearing a white lab coat in the back by the tvs. I asked him if he could help me and he replied that he would be there in a few. Twenty minutes later, I'm still waiting. I finally figured out what the problem was and was able to get my pictures copied but man was I steamed! As I was leaving I saw him again and he had the nerve to say Oh ma'am do you still need help? No thanks dude, I got it. I like this WalMart overall but I am going to try to not use their photo place anymore if I can help it. read more

My coffee grinder broke, I went to pearl city Walmart because just a few days earlier I happened to see that they had two, But when I went they were all out, so I called the Mililani Walmart and spoke to Roberta, she checked the inventory list and said it showed 2 in stock I asked if she could put a hold on one for me, she said she couldn't because of where she was, but assured me that if I come right away I should be able get one of them, I told her I don't want to drive all the way there for nothing, again she said come now. I went there "0" nothing, went to customer service, they asked me who did I speak to. I got Roberta on the phone, she had the nerve to say that she didn't guarantee that the item was in stock. Then she had the nerve to hang up on me. The lady at customer service said Roberta should have had someone check to make sure that the item was in stock. The cashiers name was Jeanette, and I repeats more order twice to make sure order right. She got most of it, and I asked for two kids cup, and she gave me two smaller size that he lids don't match. I repeated to the Jeanette kids cup, and she had a blank face like I was speaking another language. This is my favorite Wal-Mart in the island. I come here once a month. Stock up on everything that I need go home which is about an hour away and do it again the following month. The parking is great, it's never crowded and the people are great. I never had to wait for the handicapped cars they're always available. And I can just spend hours here. My favorite place to come. I leave early in the morning do all my shopping. Then drive around the shopping center grab something to eat, and come back to Walmart in case I forgot something. Okay... line was ridiculously long... cashier took forever to ring then i ask for a gift receipt and she gives me half of the reciept but its cut and tells me to put some tape on it... im like really i need the whole reciept if they want to return it.... then i question about the barcode on the receipt and she tells me there is no barcode... im like yeah i can see that but i need it if the person receiving the gift wants to return it...she then tells me thats she can do a retrun then we have to wait for a customer service representative to come to the garden section to authorize it. I wondered if she thought I was insane to make the already growing line even longer... heck no. So I unhappily took my item and cut receipt and went on my way to customer service to fix it. read more

I've enjoyed Wal-Mart so much more now that they've rennovated and moved things around. The aisle's are so much wider it's easier to get past the idiots who stop in the middle of the aisle to look at something with their shopping cart all in the way. Customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get that employee who's down to help you find what you need but other times you'll walk the entire store (twice) and not even see anyone. I'm sure everyone has been to wally world at least once so no real need to go into detail on pricing. One thing though, don't use the self check out line if you don't know how! I see some people spending 10 minutes trying to scan and pay for four items. That's a damn shame. read more

This Wal-Mart is my favorite on the island simply because its always so calm and chill compared to the other Wal-Mart's, especially the town Wal-Mart. Even on holidays or special occasions its not nearly as busy as the town or pearl city walmart... its awesome. I go here so often I know some of the workers lol i really love it because its so much more affordable compared to other stores and they always have nice sales and lots of cute clothes and shoes for my daughter. i have military base access to the NEX and PX and all that but I still find Wal-Mart to be cheaper in certain areas... I do have a few complaints!!!!....... #1 is that they never have enough check out lanes open! Its so frustrating!!!! There are maybe 5 out of 15 lanes open and there are always tons of people in line... why?!!! I see tons of workers walking around and doing stuff.. send them to check out!! And why do you only have two lanes open at night even when there are 20 people in each line?! The store itself is hardly crowded but the check out lines are full of people.. doesn't make sense. #2 please fix your shopping carts! Most of them are broken and a pain in the butt to push around and make super loud noises... not fun.. Other than those two complaints, I love this Wal-Mart a lot... yay! read more

I like this Walmart the best. The wagons suck but I feel it's one of the cleaner ones. This review is in regards to a return I did with items I purchased online. The cashier was nice and was doing everything she could to process the return. Apparently it's hard when the item is not sold in the store. She mentioned to the customer service MANAGER that she was processing a .com purchase and CSM said "good luck with that!" I would not expect that from a MANAGER! From my years in customer service, I was taught never to talk like that in front of customers. I overheard how she talked with other customers and it wasn't ideal either. Maybe she needs a refresher in customer service if she's expected to lead by example. read more

Usually I have no problem with this Walmart, I am always here for many things from craft supplies to groceries. Tonight was a very unpleasant visit. My boyfriend and I were looking for reusable water bottles; everything was okay until we got to the front to look at the "as seen on tv" items. While browsing for no more than 30 seconds, I noticed an older Filipino, short gray haired worker wearing glasses staring at us the whole time. This led us to feel uncomfortable, so we ended up rushing to pay. I assumed she thought we were going to steal considering our appearance. We are both 18 and in college, I also have my hair dyed blue. To test this theory we went back in Walmart a few minutes later to get the water bottle from the "as seen on tv" section. As soon as my boyfriend picked up the water bottle, the worker immediately said to my boyfriend "you're suppose to scan that, you need to pay for that." My boyfriend got a little offended and replied "yes I know, do I seem like someone who is going to steal? Is that why you keep staring at us?" All she could say was "that's my job to just stare and watch." So why not stare at the other customers? Is costumer comfort not a priority in Walmart? I'm offended that they were making an assumption that we were going to steal. We both have good paying jobs and make a well amount of money. Judgments should not be based on appearance. Suggestion; Workers should consider privacy amongst others. It is not their job to consistently stare and assume because of age and appearance. *We are still paying costumers and could always take our business elsewhere. Being an insomniac, I enjoyed shopping late at night here, until recently. There was a few groups of young people who would hang out at the back of the parking lot, but they didn't seem to bother anyone, again, until recently. Sitting in my vehicle the other night, catching a few Pokémon before shopping, and a girl appears at my window, indicating for me to roll down my window, when I refused, she started yelling and hitting my window, I started the vehicle and she moved away. The groups of young people are now hanging out in large amounts in this parking lot, close to the entrance and harassing those who would like to spend money at this Walmart, seems like a new management team would be a good idea. Am going to forward this to local and corporate. I don't think Walmart wants to become synonymous with crime. read more

When the rest of the island has all but tucked into bed and drifted off into a deep slumber, that's when my husband and I perk up and tackle the world! Okay...maybe not the world, but our gigantic grocery list. With majority of the stores in Mililani closed after nine, and 3 of the remaining 5 stores closed at midnight, us night owls are left with Safeway and Walmart to tend to our shopping needs. Mililani Walmart usually does a good job at making sure things are constantly stocked. However, that does come at a price for us late night/early morning shoppers, who must embark on a constantly shifting maze to find a clear path to our needed items. Instead of gradually restocking the floor throughout the day (like Safeway), it seems like they relocate their entire stock room onto the store floors after midnight; blocking entire walkways and aisles, forcing you to engage in tricky maneuvers around several aisles and obstacles before you finally make it to your intended destination. Once you've accomplished that, there are still more barriers to overcome: carts piled with a mountains of merchandise, along with huge boxes and monstrous shipping crates settled in almost every open space and sometimes against entire aisles, to a point where you can't even see or access the blocked shelves! There are days when, perhaps they're understaffed, but there's no regular checkout lanes open. Your only option is the few open self-checkout lanes (which wouldn't be a problem, but there's no worker there if you need assistance when the light starts flashing). The front of the store is like a ghost town. Look carefully, and you may see a giant tumbleweed of hair, dirt and rubbish rolling through. Just remember: After a certain time, the customer service/return center closes, so just go to lane 1 and they'll take care of you (as long as someone is there). read more
