Helpful staff- they moved the departments around since the last time I was here. The staff mentioned that WalMart is trying to make the same layouts in all stores. Target Stores have been doing this for years. It's organized- staff are hustling around. There were a few "shoppers" (for online orders)- very focused. They don't make eye contact - maybe so people like me don't ask them questions I did self checkout. I put my bag on the checkout area - which alerted the staff to come. Walmart was only open for 30 more minutes the night before Thanksgiving, and I was definitely pushing my luck. But honestly, I ended up getting pretty lucky. Right at the entrance, they had most of the Thanksgiving essentials displayed, which was actually really cool. And of course, I had to splurge on an Oreo house-making kit just for the fun of it. Even though they were completely sold out of turkey, we managed to grab all of our Thanksgiving sides before heading over to Safeway for the final ingredient, our big turkey. They've got great holiday items right now to splurge on so buyer beware and don't spend all your money at once! All in all, I was really grateful Walmart was still open when we went. Be careful of their vision department. The frame I selected was only $20.00. To increase her commission, she slapped on $275.00 more by ordering the most expensive lenses plus extras without telling me or providing a breakdown. So I said I would think about it. I was hungry and had a headache. She did not return my prescription to me and I forgot to ask for it back. I feel this was deliberate to ensure I would return. Apparently she was going to force me to return in hopes I would buy the $295.00 plus tax glasses by keeping my prescription. This was infuriating and I had to go back to my doctor to get a new copy of my prescription. I am not going to Mililani Walmart anymore, especially not to their vision department. I noticed several people coming to look but left without buying because their glasses are not cheap. They cost just as much if not more than Costco Optical. This is the closest Walmart to my parent's house in Mililani, so I use it a lot going to and from their place. It's another Walmart with all that implies, but I'm really impressed with two specific aspects of shopping at Walmart: 1. Curbside pickup. Love being able to determine if an item is in stock, order it (past a minimum purchase threshold), receive a confirmation that is ready to pickup, notify the store what pickup stall you're in, and have the item dropped off to your car! 2. You can search the Walmart app for item, determine if it's on-hand, and find out what aisle its in! Totally unlike places (looking at you CostCo!) that want you to wander around in hope that you'll buy more stuff. Very impressive and for those reasons Walmart is a part of my regular shopping rotation. Repeat and recommend! read more

Not my first Walmart... My Favorite Walmart ;-) this Mililani location not sure if it's part of but is next to the Town Center of Mililani and though it's not my first it has been one of my favorite location probably since it's not a crazy madhouse like the town location but the parking isn't quite my cup of tea what's brewing inside is a very clean and organized store. Layout is definitely different with the food and goodies is on the far right though the seasonal items are kept prominently in front and I regularly visited a friend in this area for various reasons this has been my favorite spot to shop along with McDonald's oh yeah. I can't remember what I came here for though I'm sure that I left with something that wasn't on the list but the browse here is much calmer and with that I find more items. Thank you! read more

This particular Walmart in Mililani has a special place in my heart as this location was the very 1st Walmart location that opened in da 808!!! 1994 was the year that the Mililani Walmart opened, and I remembered this clearly because one of my close friends actually lived near by this particular Walmart. Before all the other Walmart stores opened on Oahu, and I'm taking about - (Pearl City, Kapolei, Royal Kunia, Downtown Fort Street Mall, & Keeaumoku). The only Walmart store that we had was the Mililani location, and I would make the drive all the way from town to Mililani just to shop for some DEALAGES! Like most of the Walmart stores we have in da 808, the store carries an array of items from - food, snacks & drinks, clothing, shoes, electronics, automotive items, home repair items, pet supplies, health care & beauty items, garden center, and most of the Walmarts have some kind of food vendor - McD's or L&L Hawaiian BBQ inside of their stores. Parking at the Mililani Walmart is plentiful, as it's located in a major mall. I mainly came to Walmart to buy a toaster oven, as the last toaster oven I bought from Target didn't last me too long. I originally went to the Keeaumoku location, but that location tends to run out of stuff because the store is pretty busy with locals, & tourist. Sure enough when I got the small appliance area of the Keeaumoku Walmart, the only toaster oven they had was a display model on the shelf, and that's how I ended up in the Mililani Walmart. Good 'ol Mililani Walmart had what I needed, as there were several boxes of toaster ovens on the shelf. 12-14-22 I discovered that going to Walmart at 6:30 a.m. makes for a nice shopping experience. The parking lot has lots of available stalls to park in. Love the closeness to the entrance. Once you enter there are toys to catch your attention on the right. After you get your wagon there are even more toys to select. My sole purpose was my last attempt at shopping for this holiday season. I told hubs I need to finish up and find what I wasn't able to get at another neighborhood store yesterday. I easily found a few gift bags priced at $4.99 to put presents in. I was in search of lei sleeves. A very helpful employee told me to check the craft section as I was by the Hawaiiany gift wrap area. She gave me a good tip to use piñata candy for my intended candy leis I needed to complete today. I found 3 kinds of cool candy to use. Perfect! Such a personable and helpful lady. We exchanged holiday greetings. On my way to the craft section at the the back left of the store I added socks, bedroom slippers, Frosty the Snowman, Charlie Brown and a bunch of artificial poinsettias for decorations. Upon arriving where I needed to be an employee asked if I needed help. She actually took the time to walk me to the correct aisle and explained they only had the 3 inch clear tubing. I told her with a smile, easier to insert the candy. She said let me know if you need anything else I'll be right here. So nice and pleasant so early in the morning. Right next I found skinny red and green ribbon to make the leis festive for the occasion. Several employees were stocking shelves. Everywhere I looked the shelves were full of merchandise. As I was heading to pay the same employee asked if I found everything I needed. Yes indeed and more. She wished me a good rest of my day. Sales lady in the sewing department was very rude! First I had to go look for her because she was busy doing something in one of the rows. Told her I needed to get some material cut and she said she would be right there - which she wasn't! I swear I waited at least 10 minutes and it wasn't even busy! When she finally came, she saw that I wanted some tulle material with glitter on it cut. She says out loud - "Oh no, now I'm going to have glitter all over the counter!" ZERO stars. I love Mililani & wish there were other local nearby options besides Walmart. Like many of you my family spends thousands of $$ here. Return policy is horrible. I fully understand if it's past a certain date, item has been opened, is a perishable item, etc but sometimes it makes zero sense. You can be returning the item within a week, have the receipt, paid cash, package unopened but sometimes they still will not refund or give credit. This has happened so many times over the past 15+ years with a different excuse each time - we don't sell this at this location, you purchased this online, you did pickup with this item, it's just our policy, etc. Makes absolutely no sense! Self checkout. This experience is supposed to be CONVENIENT for customers, save on printing receipts, and be fast. There is a camera, two people watching you checkout, but the person at the door still wants to see your digital receipt. The first time I did this I wondered why they even needed to see my digital receipt and had to try to pull it up on my I phone! I should have said I don't have a phone! Then what? Today, she doesn't even know how to read the digital receipt! Not really my problem if Walmart failed to train their people. Why do you need to see my receipt when it's 7 am and I'm one of the few other people in the store and all these people just watched me checkout $5 worth of applesauce????? Sooooo irritating!!!! Last night I decided to check out Walmart Mililani. I've been on a wild goose chase for awhile now. To be exact about 2 weeks looking for this particular manual treadmill sold at Walmart. That's going to be my Christmas gift to my family so everyone can use it and lose some Holiday pounds lol. I been to the Walmart Kunia, Keeamoku, Pearl City and also to Mililani before too. All sold out or waiting for a shipment to arrive. I originally went to Walmart Mililani talk with a associate and she said December 5th a shipment of 5 boxes arriving. Called the store on the 5th and no luck the person on the phone said already sold out. I thought that can't be because if it's coming off the container on the 5th and I called on the same day how could it be sold out already ? I also traveled to Walmart Pearl City the associates in the Sporting good department looked promising. He said he will take my number and call me once the shipment will arrive which was on Dec.5th also. I also gone down to that store and another person said no treadmill. Epic fail again but my luck had to change sooner or later so last night I got one at the Mililani Walmart. Shout out to associate Manny he was working near the toy department and I asked him if he can assist me. Without hesitation he said no problem he'll get a flat bed wagon and ring me up in the sporting good department. He said if not I would have to wait in the long line at the main cashiers. Manny also assisted me in carrying the treadmill into my car. It was heavy I think by myself I would have struggled. After we loaded the treadmill my wife wanted to give him a tip. Manny replied no ma'am our policy cannot except any tip but have a Merry Christmas. I occasionally use pickup option when it's a busy day and I have multiple stores to go. They're normally really good. But why when I order this Cranberry juice it's always smashed on the top??? When I go inside myself and shop I don't see these bottles smashed like this. I let it go the first two times. But this is literally like the third time!! It's so inconvenient that they lock up the formula and got rid of the call button to get assistance. Today, I approached an employee walking by to ask for assistance and she tells me she's off the clock. I find another employee in the cosmetics area to ask for assistance and she tells me that isn't her section. Why lock stuff up and make us look around for unfriendly employees who always have an attitude as if it's our fault things are locked up?! Sadly this was my last straw. Certain products are sold for cheaper, but others are highly overpriced. There is not much staff in the aisles but there is plenty of workers at the checkout. Shopping in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii... I must confess... I used to live in Mililani... GASP! I was always afraid of getting lost. I still don't know my way around Mililani! I used to just go to work and go straight home. That's why I have fond memories of Walmart because I could browse around and find great deals! Once, my cousin met me outside of this store and taught me how to make a yarn lei! We sat on a bench at the front of the store! I used to sew a lot. The craft department and fabric sections were my favorites. I also enjoyed the Garden Center, greeting cards, $5 videos, furniture, jewelry, accessories, clothing, snacks, and the Clearance area. The purpose for this recent visit was to get a sewing machine for my sister and her daughters. During this time of Social Distancing, our Mayor has made face masks a must starting Monday, April 20, 2020. I hope my family has enough masks... Anyway, this was the 4th Walmart that I shopped at. Worst front desk customer service!!! They took one look at me and did a racist "haole" and decided right then to not take any of my returns even though it was a new item bought earlier that day. They gave some lie about they have the power to say no if they want to but I find out later that isn't part of Walmarts return policy and not only that but they later on decided to not help me at any cost and when I went to the lost and found for my lost EBT card, they decided to make such a fuss and say "no" in order to hold a power over me and enjoy to see me suffer knowing that I will be 2 days without food since it's the weekend. They are simple workers and not management and lied to me that they were and no one can help me. It was only after I called the cops that they brought out the real manager and in return turned my EBT card. We even checked out the video games and accessories section. Hubby didn't pick up anything. Lots of different sections in Walmart but we literally walked out with nothing. Shocking because I always seem to find something but nothing. Plenty of parking up front and all around the store. We come here occasionally to look. Ive been going to Walmart Mililani since they opened a long, long time ago lol. Now years later, I can honestly say this Walmart is pretty great. I've been to so many different ones across the state and the U.S. and yes they are all pretty standard (minus the super stores I suppose) with similar setups etc. This Walmart is always clean, well stocked and customer service is great. We don't go to the McDonalds in Walmart a lot, but the few times we have, their McDonalds was great as well. Overall: Very convenient for central Oahu residents and lots of great deals. Everything is so organized. I decided to visit this place after attending a party at Fun Factory (I know you read that review) and was shocked. No, I wasn't shocked on how people were dressed. I think months of visiting; "www.peopleofwalmart.com" I already got desensitized. I was shocked on how well maintained and clean the place was. Everything was in there proper place compared to all the other Walmarts I've been too. How can you not remember my Pearl City or Kapolei Walmart reviews? And the workers here were all smiling. Now granted I came late evening but everyone that worked there was so cheerful. Must be something in the water or they all gotta raise? I think it's the water. Moving forward. I purchased a hoverboard for my daughter the night before. I opened it the next morning and the wheels cracked. The employee didnt put the correct serial number so when I tried to return they didnt accept. AP came out all puffing chested telling me he wont approve it. First telling me to bring the real Hoverboard from home. I told him I told him I dont have one and its not my fault the employee didnt input the correct serial number. YouTube Baby! OMG! I recently just watched a YouTube videos on how to save money at, wait for it, wait for it...... none other than, Walmart! So what you need to do is download the Walmart App on your phone. Then when you go to the store, if you know ahead of time of what you are looking for, you would type it in and there it is! The Aisle and sometimes the price. From here what I did is looked for the product first and then rescanned it with my phone. Making sure it's the price that I seen on the shelf and crossing my fingers that it is cheaper!!! Heh heh heh ok it wasn't, BUT, if you look on the top part, it'll say Walmart.com, press on it and then, YES!!! The price is cheaper! Cheaper! Cheaper! Ok it was $2 cheaper and $2 is $2 is $2. So when I went to the cashier, after she rang it up. I asked her to price challenge it and showed her the product and price. Yes! She rang it for the cheaper price and I left as a happy customer! Last night my 16 year old daughter went to Walmart with her Dad who started a scene by punching a guy he knew when they walked in. My daughter pushed him back out the store and he started yelling at her. She told him to go home and she'll call Mom to pick her up (she lives with me). He started walking towards her, yelling at her to get in the car but she refused (she was scared). Before he could reach her, my daughter said about 8+ employees formed a circle around her so he couldn't get to her. I just want to thank you all for being there for my daughter and protecting her. BLACK FRIDAY...430 PM .. Customers are greeted with coffee and drinks table. FREE. Employees thru out the store to help customers get to the right lines. Some changes have been made, lines started forming before 4. By 4 pm employees are passing out tickets for big items. So you don't need to stay in line, if you get a ticket. You can shop..then you pay at cashiers, and pickup items at designated spots. Its 545 pm...and its much calmer than previous years that I went to in Kapolei...no fights read more
