This review is long overdue!! (and it might be long) I try to support local businesses and Newtown Square Pharmacy is among those on my list. They've become my go-to pharmacy. Pharmacist Lorrie and her team of Sue and Nicolette are the backbone of the business. Friendly and genuinely caring people who are eager to help. Besides my prescriptions, I also pick up certain OTC items here. If they don't have it stocked, I'll place a phone order and within a day or two the items arrive. A highlight about this pharmacy is their free delivery service. You can arrange a time of delivery in person or on the phone. Along with her bright smile, Lorrie possesses a certain professional charisma that draws you in. She makes you feel comfortable and is easy to talk to. (I tend to talk too much) During my very first visit there, she took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me through a decision I was facing. Lorrie will also go over your prescriptions and explain how to take them. Whenever I buy an OTC product, she brings out several and explains each one. She is very patient and will repeat herself several times until I understand. I can't say enough about Newtown Square Pharmacy - they deserve more than 5 stars. You know those 'mom-and-pop' kind of shops that you would never trade? One of those places where quality service is provided and your business is genuinely appreciated? That's what you get at Newtown Square Pharmacy. Lori (sp?) the pharmacist, and her associate are so kind, helpful and accommodating. They have been my and my family's go-to pharmacy for a while now. Lori is so knowledgeable and not only do they fill prescriptions in a timely manner- but If you are unable to pick up your medicines for any reason, you can speak to her about delivery options. Even during covid, they were able to fill a prescription drug that is Japan's official covid treatment but wasn't widely available in the US due to its controversy at the time (which we feel prevented my husband from being hospitalized- or worse). I will forever be grateful for that. While it isn't fun NEEDING medicines, I am very fortunate to have a pharmacy and pharmacist that i can depend on for all things medicinal from my daughter's asthma and allergy meds to my grandmother's blood pressure meds to my sister's anti-depressants and the list goes on. You can call them ahead of time to see if and when they can fill a prescription and it's availability. If it's ready for pickup, you can ask them to have it ready so you can be in and out before paying the parking. They are located on the ground floor of the Mary Savio building, directly across the street from Cattle Company. I've known about this pharmacy for a long time back when it was run by the older man and woman. BUT NOW under NEW MANAGEMENT with these AWESOME WOMEN. THIS PHARMACY IS THE FASTEST AND FRIENDLIEST PHARMACY OUT THERE!!!! They also have FREE DELIVERY SERVICE! Located in the Mary Savio building (old elephant and castle) on the first floor near First look ultrasound. This pharmacy is really convenient for me since I'm here in this building multiple times a week and have been picking up meds shortly after my Father in laws Drs appts. I've never waited longer than a few minutes to pick up meds. NO OTHER PHARMACY CAN BEAT THAT! They also take the time to talk with you about your meds and answer any questions you may have without making you feel like you're an inconvenience (like some other pharmacy's). An easy five stars to Lory and Newtown Square Pharmacy. I was in a lot of pain and my doctor was unable to find the needed remedy at any of the larger pharmacies. Because of Lory's personal attention to care, she was able (willing) to order it for the next day. She called me personally the following morning to say the order would be in and what time they would be open. Furthermore, she offered curbside pickup and let me know to call directly should I need more salve. I highly recommend Lory and her pharmacy. Her service and dedication to customers is top notch. For many years, my husband was able to fill his prescription by Longs, then Walgreens. When neither could supply medicine from a particular manufacturer, I turned to Yelp Ohana for recommendations. Based on the great reviews, we gave Newtown Square Pharmacy a try. We were hopeful that Lorrie, owner/pharmacist, could get what my husband needed when she said the order would be ready the following week. Sure enough when we called, the prescription was filled as promised. As posted in one of the reviews, Newtown Square Pharmacy treats everyone as family. It's a good feeling that there is someone looking out for your interest. There was hardly a wait time to pickup and pay for the prescription. The bonus was parking was free! My husband and I have been trying to find a pharmacy near our neighborhood who would provide us with better care and service than the common pharmacies we've been going to. Recently, I've been having some insurance concerns at Longs Drugs and they would never take the time to provide me an answer. A friend casually mentioned that a pharmacy recently had a grand opening in the Mary Savio Medical Building. I am all about supporting small/local businesses, so I decided to try them out. The staff over at Newton Pharmacy are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. They really treat all of their customers with love, impeccable service and most importantly ---like family!Being in the healthcare industry myself, I appreciate the fact that their technicians and Pharmacist serve with heart, takes the time to go over the medications and ensures that all insurances have been claimed (I have dual coverage, and the former pharmacy refused to file my secondary insurance - for whatever reason). The ladies working in this small independent pharmacy give the best customer service possible. I was going through a medical problem onset by stress and their service was definitely the beginning of my road to recovery because it was a stress free process to obtain the meds prescribed by my doctor. They called me and we discussed a treatment plan they scheduled a delivery for later that afternoon. I hope I never have to use them again only because I don't want anymore aliments that require medication, but if I do need meds I will for sure being asking my doctor to get my meds filled at Newtown Square Pharmacy. Few words - please retire already - yelling at your loyal customers is uncalled for and quite unnecessary. I asked about my daughters prescription that should have been 30ML yet I only had enough for 24ML - and it's antibiotics - she's gonna have a little dose then skip a whole day. Moneyball: family style business, nothing fancy, get to know you and really care about you kind of place Makes: Typical pharmacy services provided by long time Dr. Bill. They have been there for years and years so you know they are doing it right. I've needed asthma medication and antibiotics from them and they were very quick. It is convenient for all the patients of the doctors, dentists, and therapists in the Newtown Square Building. Misses: parking can be a hassle in this building, but for the most part it's easy. It's not convenient like a Long's, but then again, there won't be a long line like a Long's. Careful, only open until 2pm on fridays. otherwise it's 9-4 or 9-5, and half day on saturday. Want a pharmacy that cares more about the patient than the medications they are selling? Check it out. Side note: The last restaurant serving quick take out lunches closed up in this building, leaving the building and it's businesses and workers with nothing fast and convenient to grab lunch in this building. Thank you first of all to my PCP Dr Joel Kobayashi for introducing me to this pharmacy. He didn't want me going out standing in lines at the stores/pharmacies during these times of Covid-19 so had this pharmacy fill my prescriptions. Awesome thing is THEY DELIVER! SAME DAY if necessary! I first met Nicolette who delivered my medicine to my work. At that time my building was on lockdown so I met her in the loading area. Nicolette is cheerful, personable, & very pleasant. I've only spoken to Sue over the phone & she as well by the tone of her voice sounds very pleasant. I'm told Lori is the pharmacist so I've yet to meet her. My doctor tried to save me time driving to Walmart so she sent it down here. Should've took my sick button to Walmart. They can't find my prescriptions. She's trying to help 4 people at once and there is only her on staff. I can't believe that I have to wait still when this was called ahead of time because I'm in a rush to go home and rest. I'm sick and I'm tired and the only reason why I can write this review is because I'm so angry even though I have no energy to even be mad. About 20 minutes later, I'm being helped.
