Ok... so, I LOVE THIS PLACE because of the workers! They're absolutely the BEST! Their customer service and their presentation is always ON POINT! BUT... they're ALWAYS OUT OF THINGS!! Things PEOPLE NEED! SEASONAL THINGS TOO! I get it, they buy up the items and we're late on purchases. BUT... whoever is their merch pro or store manager NOW, has to STEP IT UP! BIG TIME!!! Everything in this store has gotten so KAPA KAHI. For the past 2 years they've been like this. And they're usually NOT this bad. I guess when they shifted the shelves over and condensed everything, they have no room for displaying items unless it's seasonal. BUT that's the funny part. LEIS ARE ALL YEAR LONG! NOT SEASONAL ONLY! It's Hawaii!!! LEIS ARE FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYDAY AND EVERY-TIME! It should be WITH or NEAR the FRESH LEIS in the COOLER. At least have a rack with the leis on it. Then... the fact that you folks ran out of GARLAND!? ‍ it's Christmas! I WAS SO CONFUSED, LOST & A BIT ANNOYED! Only because my wagon was rattling loudly and I had to go out and swap my wagon for a better one! But I kept my composure UNTIL I couldn't anymore! I left my wagon in the isle. Walked out the exit. Grabbed a better wagon & stormed back into the store LOOKING for my cart. I forgot what isle I left it on & I was about to snap! Then I found it! LOL NO BUT FOR REALS! I DONT KNOW IF YOU WANT TO SHOP HERE ANYMORE because they're ALWAYS OUT OF STOCK on a lot of things LATELY & they're really busy. But I like busy and I'm one of those who loves to browse. Just today I was in a rush so I was a bit peeved. Then they're ALWAYS busy and packed with PEOPLE! I mean the isles are so crowded it's like SARDINES sometimes! But I guess that's why we love LONGS SO MUCH! It's the EXPERIENCE of BEING AROUND PEOPLE & HELPING EACH OTHER GET THE SALES! Especially the old people. Super late post, but one that I wanted to make to acknowledge this location for its outstanding service! Pearlridge Longs has a drive thru vaccination clinic every year. I LOVE that it's super close to where I live, making it easy to get my yearly vaccinations for flu and COVID. You need to keep your eyes out for when it will happen as it's a one-day only event. I never miss it because you also get a swag bag! It usually comes with a variety of items like tissue, hand sanitizer, snacks, water bottle and just random items you may pick up at Longs. I book my appointment through the CVS app. I like that you can fill out most of your information through the app ahead of time to make your visit a little quicker. This year was difficult for me to book my COVID vaccination, though. For the drive thru option, it said I wasn't eligible to get it, but I was eligible to get it in-store. So I booked my flu shot for the drive thru so I could get my swag bag and then parked right after to go in the store to get my COVID shot. Both appointments were made on the app back to back. Even though there was a little bit of a wait at the drive thru, I made it in time. Thank you Longs for providing this opportunity year after year. It's an easy way to get my vaccinations and you get a reward for it, too! It's always a big production that I appreciate their workers putting together for the community. read more

Excellent customer service at this Longs Drugs branch. I stopped in to pickup a few things real quick. A clerk behind the photo section asked if I needed help. Just so happened that what I needed was stocked behind her counter. She extended much patience in helping me decide. Later, I changed my mind but she wasn't there to give it back. A gentleman at the checkout line, while he was ringing up someone, said he'll be right with me. Apparently, the item I tried to put back had dropped and rolled under the cabinets. I think, he heard it fall and called over another clerk who was in the aisles to help me. The gentleman came back and quickly tried to move the cabinet. I told the female clerk what happened and she said not to worry about it. I should have just left the item in view on that counter. Both clerks handled the situation with such patience. I wish I had gotten their names. Checking out was another experience of the wonderful customer service. Cashier's name was Fay B. Her overall mannerism, as I watched her ring people up was hard not to notice. When it was my turn, she was polite and patient in handling the situation with my CVS card. My satisfying encounters with these four employees today prompts me to leave this solid 5-star review. read more

Appointment at CVS for vaccination: Received this message after checking in online with the link from the text. After you've checked in, go to the pharmacy counter. If there's a MinuteClinic, wait by the pharmacy counter, not in the MinuteClinic waiting area. So I waited by the pharmacy counter. Not the minute clinic. 10 minutes past my appt I went to the counter to let them know I was waiting. Clerk said I had to check in, which I said I did online. She proceeded to say I have to check in again at the vaccine counter. So I went to the vaccine check in counter to inquire and was told that you have to physically check in even after the online check in. So I showed her the text I received to wait in the pharmacy area. She said it said to go to the pharmacy counter. I told her I figured I checked in already, so I wouldn't think of going in line again to check in. I suggested the wording should be phrased better. She continued to say that the texted made sense over and over like I was dumb, when I just wanted to make a suggestion as i interpreted it differently and others may to. Clerk could have just said sure I'll let my manager know and be done with it, but she had to prove her point ‍ So my question is why check in online when you have to check in again when you get there? A convenient location to multitask while you are at Pearlridge. There is a Covid vaccination going on outside their door. I went in to Re-supply nonstick pads and sensitive skin or easy removal adhesive tape as little sweetie had a large blister and I had sent home what I had with her. Their display of bandages etc. spanned the back wall and was easy to view. I like that vs scrunching over to read the box descriptions. Payment was fast and smooth as there was only one person ahead of me I informed the cashier that I had 30% off one item and she sad, You also have $6 off, do you want to use that too? This one star is specifically for the pharmacy only. I've been using this pharmacy for a while, but after my last visit, I'm very frustrated. I went in to pick up a prescription following an ER visit. I was told it would be ready, but when I went to the pickup counter, I was directed to the drop-off section. There, a staff member rudely told me multiple times that I needed a prescription from my doctor, despite me showing her the paperwork. She ignored it and sent me back to the consultation side, where the first employee also insisted I needed to show the paper again. I was already overwhelmed and in tears at this point. Another worker noticed and asked what happened, then brought in another employee who confronted the rude staff member. She apologized but claimed she never saw the paperwork, even though I showed it clearly. Throughout the whole ordeal, no one seemed to care, and I felt completely disregarded. Very disappointing experience, especially since this is my usual pharmacy. read more

I asked the most unhelpful clerk at the self checkout stand to help me look for a headset on sale. They usually call someone to open the locked cabinet. The first thing out of her mouth was if it's not there, we don't have it. I said how can that be when it's the first day of the sale. I said can you help me, in case, I looked in the wrong place. She again said if it's not there, we don't have it. I felt that she was too lazy to check or call someone. I asked to speak to a manager and she ignored me. When I said I would talk to Maricel, she walked over to Maricel. Luckily, Flor helped me who I found out was a manager. When that rude clerk passed me, she said, "humpf" and I yelled at her to not talk to me that way. I told the manager if she does not like to help customers, then don't work at Longs. Do not buy gift cards from here!!! I purchased three gift cards that were no good. Scammed. My loved ones went to use gift cards and the balance were at $0 have been used already. I reported to customer service and they said they were going to do an investigation only just to let me know yes they have been used and for me to go through those specific companies for a resolution. Tried to just get a small bag of CVS brand cough drops like I always get. They didn't even have a tag for them on the shelf and all I saw was the name brand Hall's ones (30 for $3.29) or the CVS ones (160 for $6.49). I will be good for the next 10 years with that many cough drops, but I could not bring myself to spend almost 3 times as much for name brand. Hopefully they will bring back the regular sized store brand ones. read more

This review is specific to the Minute Clinic. Every experience I've had here has been wonderful! It all started 3 years back when I have a 103° fever until today, for treatment of Thanksgiving burns. Yes, I do have a primary care provider, however, it's much quicker to make an appt online and pop in the same day versus hoping to get in to see my doctor. They also do immunizations and follow-up with you to make sure you did not have any I'll effects. Big myself and my other half have had nothing but positives here! The Minute Clinic team has saved us SEVERAL trips to the emergency room and gets points for being personable. The new construction they've done for remodeling the waiting room has been excellent as well. It's jsut too bad COVID has ruined being able to sit there to wait. I definitely recommend coming here if you have something urgent and don't want to pay the costly visit fees for an actual urgent care center... though keep trips here to basic stuff, take SERIOUS injuries and illnesses to urgent care or emergency. Though they will be able to tell you if you have acute pneumonia! read more

We came here to have my daughter get a physical which is required by her school since we didn't have any documents saying she got her physical. We didn't wait long as we only waited like 15 minutes which was fine. We had an appointment at 3:10 pm and got here a little before. Not bad. I do enjoy the items they sell. Back in the mainland, this is called CVS. Here in Hawaii, it's called Longs Drugs. Funny how they haven't changed their name to CVS. I found a wide variety of makeup here which I always need when I run low. I definitely liked that. So many products you may need in here. Prices seemed affordable while the tax here is 4%. On the mainland, it's either 8.5% or 8%. Although some products may cost more than others. I would definitely come back here. It's also located inside the Pearl Ridge mall which is cool. You can go walk around the mall while you are here. read more

When we went to the self check out station, the lady at the self check out (black hair, wearing glasses) was rude to us and the most unprofessional customer service staff I ever seen in my life! I paid for my Kiss lashes, I took it out from the rack because no one show up to help me take it out and my time is valuable! And I pay for it, so its my stuff anyway! After I checked out, the lady talked to my husband like we stealing or some shit. She was like: "Oh I know nobody helps you right away but you should stay there and wait! You are not allow to take it out yourself!" Excuse me! What sign in you guys store say that sentence!?? And why should she talked to us with attitude bitch face about the item that I purchased already?! I don't understand at all! Four stars for Longs Store, Pearlridge. Zero stars for Longs Pharmacy, Pearlridge. This review is for Pearlridge Longs Pharmacy. Zero stars if I could for the pharmacy. Service is slow as molasses and when the doctor does call in the prescription, I usually give them hours on end to have it ready (about minimum three hours duration). It NEVER fails that it's never ready or something is usually up with their billing or drug coverage system, that make you have to wait again anyway! I tried and tried on numerous occasions to give them second, third, seventh, tenth chances. Epic fails everytime. This time I just couldn't hold my tongue already. I must vent... On another occasion, when I was deathly sick, I'd show up and guess what? Not ready! Heck if I'm gonna wait! I needed to be lying down, not infecting others with my contagious illness. C'mon Pearlridge Longs Pharmacy...that is not Pono. Do what's right and get your act together. If you did get quality service from them. I'm happy for you. For me, no. Until I get better service, the one (zero) star will remain. TO BE CONTINUED... Second visit...had to wait...yet again. Plus, the meds weren't mixed...after waiting for an additional four more hours! Friendly customer service. The associates are always so helpful I hate to ask for help! When CVS took over I made the assumption (and wrong of course) that my love affair with Long's drugs was over. Lucky me it's not. Everything is in different places but all you have to do is ask and they will walk you to where you need to be. This is a busy store but well managed, well stocked and well staffed. Love the flyers they send in the Sunday paper and steal it away from honey bunny before he can start reading the paper. The only issue I have is parking. It is a pain to find parking no matter when I come here. I know there is absolutely nothing the store could do since they are in Pearlridge. Maybe they could reserve a stall just for me since I am a Yelper? :) no problem, I will continue to drive up and down the isles until I find a spot. read more

This is one of the worse longs store on island. Employees there are not customer friendly at all. They could care less if you're looking for something. All they care about is stocking & ignoring customers. I was just there and asked if they still had a sale item on floor & she was walking towards the back thinking she's going to show me where it's located but she starts walking toward the back which is the warehouse and leaves me waiting. My prescription was called at 9am and I went to pick it up at 2pm and it wasn't ready. How can that be possible!? I know it's a Monday. The positive part was the clerk kept checking on my prescription because she knew I was waiting for it. I thanked her at the end. She probably felt bad but it really isn't her fault. (Pearlridge & Pearl City) I've been going there for over a decade & the professionalism, service & cheerfulness is superior to all the others I been to. I recently had gotten hurt on my job that required surgery & i've been out of work long enough for my medical to lapsed & had to get Cobra ins. (which is $$$$) Anyway since I got my cobra insurance I ran out of meds & had to fill them at Longs Pearlridge when I went up to the counter to pay for my meds the pharmacy clerk told me the price was $74! I freaked out I normally pay an $8 copay. The clerk reimburse me & made me see another clerk (Miriam) in the next line... I gave her my cobra ins card & at first she didn't see anything different but in a few minutes she figured it out & got my copay down to what I usually pay! All that with a smile, very cheerful personality plus giving me the sincere "trying to help you attitude!" LONGS PHARMACY NEVER FAILS! Shout out to MIRIAM! Great job! read more

I've been going to this Longs for many years and most of my visits were pleasant. There was just one time when I had to wait for almost one hour for someone to help me find an item in the first aid section. The pharmacy clerk was so nice and paged for someone to help. I waited and waited. The pharmacy clerk was so nice and said that someone should be coming to help me soon. After waiting for a long long time, someone came out from the back and I told her I've been waiting a long time. She said she didn't hear the page then proceeded to help me find what I was looking for. The rest of my other visits to the store were very pleasant. Someone would always ask me if I needed help, and at times someone would help me put cases of water into my shopping cart. The cashiers are awesome. They are always so helpful, friendly, efficient, and make sure I get the best possible deal, checking to see that I use all the rewards I've earned. This Longs branch has overall outstanding customer service. I've told the cashiers many times that they are the BEST of all the Longs cashiers. I've told my family and friends how grateful I am to have a place to shop where I feel getting the best deals and best service. read more

This is my go to pharmacy because it's conveniently located within walking distance to my home. But I may have go elsewhere. More times than not the line to pick up prescriptions is very long! Snaking down the aisle with around 10-15 people blocking the center aisle. But the most frustrating thing is they only have one clerk working! Even with the long line no one else came to help the lone clerk. While waiting I hear over the intercom calls for clerks to come to the front to help checkout customers but no such calls were made to help out the pharmacy. In the meantime the pharmacist continues to fill prescriptions and the other clerk there doing something trying to look busy and both are oblivious to the long line snaking down the aisle! I guess I figured maybe things improved since it's been awhile. Boy was I was wrong!! I thought the convenience would outweigh the horrible customer service since this location was the closest to where I live, but customer service here at the pharmacy has not changed one bit!! She was very unprofessional, did not even ask if I had any questions about the medications, did not even verify DOB for the prescriptions or even mention what was being picked up. This visit only confirmed I will NEVER go back to this pharmacy again!! As I was shopping, I saw her stocking products then she was seemed to ask a lead something then saw her carting product to the floor. She was my cashier when I was done shopping. She helped the person in front of me to use her coupons (even getting one from a flyer). When it was my turn she suggested if I spent just a little more I could get the best value with my coupon. When checking in using the machine outside of the door, it warns us that we could wait up to 2 hours! Cool that's fine. I don't have any where else to be. 2 people were ahead of me, as they should be seen first. I'll sit here and wait in line, no problem. But what I don't like is when the NP decides to let 2 people go ahead of me! They were getting FLU SHOTS! I'm really upset! I don't care if it's a flu shot, getting a temperature, or checking a BP!
