This Walmart is the worst Walmart ever. Came in one time asking for a TV and the lady behind the counter seemed annoyed with customers asking questions. Also, witnessed two yelling matches over facemasks between customers as the workers just watched. Moving from the north-bay and having the Walmarts out there be clean and friendly and actually enforcing rules, coming here was just a disaster. Also the security named Ireland also did her part to make sure I was taken care of. Although this is one of my favorite stores to go to to buy fishing gear I stop coming as often And I fish 3 times a week. If I could give zero stars I would! I went in tonight to go shop because I usually never have problems with this Walmart at all. We went to pay at self check out and I was still scanning an item which was still in MY HAND and I still had more items in my cart to scan and she came over and said ' oh y'all better pay for them bananas ' when I wasn't even done with what I was doing. So I told her that was rude especially since I'm not done paying and she said well I work self check out and everybody steals when I was clearly going to pay for my items! So I told her to get her manager and she went to walk away to tell another worker about the things and not get her manager. So she came back over and told us that she works self check out all the time and that if we don't like it we can go to the other lanes to pay. That when's my husband told her yeah it's time to go get your manager. We never complain about anything really we understand how retail is at times. But to come and tell us we were clearly stealing and weren't going to pay for bananas was super rude and disrespectful. If I didn't shop the store for long I would of just left all the items I was going to buy there. I really hope the manager does talk to her. Had a great experience here. I needed a weight scale but had no idea where to look and in a bit of a hurry. I'm in the Bathroom section and I see an employee. I ask him and he immediately pulls up an app on his phone and locates the section for me. I go there and there are many good choices in all price ranges. I pick one and take it to the check out. I like this walmart because of its location. Very close to where i work and where we live. The store is smaller compared to the one in American canyon, though the choices/availability of items are okay. One of the downside of this store is some of its employees. The person working in the customer service was obviously either not happy with her job or she was just not in the mood. I've been to this walmart a few times and I waited to make a review because I wanted to see if things were different or the same. So, at times, the customer service can be "iffy". Looking for someone or someone kinda giving you the "maybe" its here. Sometimes, people will call or look to find out if it's carried or where the proper location is at. This is one of the most expensive, poor service, poor selection walmart I have been too. We come here every now and again and it seems they never have anything we need. We went last week for auto oil, large apples, horror movies, a TV, and some booze. The store was out of all brands of 10w-30 motor oil. I asked a associate if they had any in stock, he looked in the shelf then said no. I then asked if they were getting any on an order, he looked at me then his other associate and just shrugged and said dunno. I then asked if he could check to which he informed me he isn't a manager and I probably should ask them. Next up, we looked at the TV'S. I asked another associate about the different brands and qualities. The guy said he has no clue about electronics, but he is sure I can compare them online. I then asked if he knew which ones were smart and again replied "I don't think any of them have an education" and just laughed. I then asked if he could grab me someone that could help only to be told to come back the next day, maybe they know more. Finally I asked about horror movies, he pointed me in a general direction then walked away. Finally we hit up the tiny grocery section. Here they have limited assortments, no associates yo help, and the ones that did pass by got pissed and told us to go ask for help up front. All in all, we went in looking to spend upwards of 1k, left without spending a dime. Customer interaction and service would have been the difference. I would have come back if the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. This walmart also is small and outdated, I don't think it can be considered a super walmart. P.S- they also don't price match anymore. Every other walmart does, they refuse to. I had tried to buy a cage that was a different price on Walmart.com the associate told me she couldn't price match it or she would get written up. read more

Terrible management, and staff. The store itself is moderately organized, and clean with good prices. However, if you require any help at all, then you're out of luck! They will put in zero effort at all. I had to chase down an older asian female crew member to ask if there was another coffee maker in the style and brand that I wanted, and she very annoyed-like walks over and looks at the display and goes I dont know I need a manager, she didn't even look at the shelf for one single second to help me. She darts off and I get approached by an assistant manager by the name of Letesha. She has no desire to help at all. Just by her brief overhearing of the issue she rudely exclaims "we don't sell the display". Like, ok?!??! I asked her if she had more and she skims her eyes at the shelf without even looking thoroughly. She pulls out an electronic and searches for it. She says its suppose to be here today and tells me to come tomorrow morning. What?!!?? I said if its suppose to be here today then maybe she could CHECK, and again rudely avoids putting 1% effort into helping me by saying "its an estimate". At this point I was annoyed by the lack of customer service by someone so high up in management. I finally ask about a different coffee maker, and she can't tell me if its the same size as the display. Finally I realize that she is very unintelligent. I explained to her that if it says that they both hold the same amount of liquid then that would mean they are the same size. She shrugs and starts looking for the other coffee maker on a different shelf. As shes looking for my second choice I see the boxed coffee maker that I originally wanted right there in her eye-view. I go, "excuse me, what's that?" and she goes, "oh, you want that one?" I went from frustration to hysteria. It's comical, really. If she just LOOKED for it in a place she knew there were more items then she could have abandoned helping me sooner (just as she so desperately wanted to). It's ridiculous because I was spending over $250 in the store that day. I think I deserve 1% effort at the least, especially from management. I've spent thousands of dollars here, but I will not be shopping here for such items anymore. I'll be taking my cash elsewhere, where customer service actually exists. My only problem with this Walmart is that they are always out of the packets of Nestle bottled water by 1pm. Other than that, I think that this is the best Walmart in the East Bay. Far better, cleaner, organized than the one in Richmond. Also, they don't lock the black hair products or razors behind the glass cases like the one in Richmond. I went to the optometry department to turn some old prescription glasses into readers. I was assisted by James. James provided exceptional customer service not just for Walmart but overall. This location is the reason that people hate Walmart. There is no single word to describe just how awful the service is. Instead, I'll describe a few incidents: 1. Because an employee did not want to process my return, they lied to me and told me the server was down. I know it was a lie because another employee admitted it. 2. When I tried to return an item that I purchased from the online store, the employee told me that I would have to drive to Virginia in order to return the item. I informed the employee that per terms and conditions, customers may return online purchases at the nearest Walmart location. The employee laughed at me and said that they are not required to honor such terms. Worse yet, the manager backed her up and told me to "go to Virginia" if I wanted a refund. Wow! 3. This happens repeatedly: I am waiting in line and the cashier decides to take a break. Instead of processing the customers first, he or she just leaves abruptly. 4. I was actually in the middle of my purchase at the register when the cashier started flipping out because she "had something in her eye." She then ran off to leave me standing there. When I asked for help, the other employee rolled her eyes at me and just walked away. I'm done with Walmart. I'll never order anything from online, and I'll never return to this location. And also heard from many ladies that they got theirs from Walmart. And knowing me , I was trying to mind my business but she was being so disrespectful not even giving her the time to understand him and listen and she just grabbed anything and walked away. I've just had the most racist, unprofessional experience in this Walmart. My nephew is going to college, we're using gift card from his trunk party to get stuff for his dorm. We ring up, use two gift cards and they say we can't use the others. We ask why, they said because we're likely running a scam. We're Black. Ellie, the cashier, is of Asian descent. We ask for manager. Ellie gets upset and starts fussing at us. We wait. She asks for help because she doesn't know what to do. Someone comes over to apologize. We wait. Ellie goes to talk to the customer behind us, complaining that we're giving her a hard time. We ask again for a manager. Team lead says we can't use multiple gift cards. We say fine, we'll do multiple transactions they say we can't do that. We say ok, cancel it then because we want to use his gift cards, they say they can't cancel it. They can't suspend it. They can't take our gift cards. So we again (3rd time) ask for a manager. Manager (Pete) says he can't speak to us. We say we can wait. Pete says he WON'T speak to us and we can't get the stuff we've already paid for refunded and they can't cancel the transaction. read more

I live in Vallejo. Last week, I had the pleasure of experiencing first-hand the thrill of seeing two police choppers with lights blazing into my backyard; Ghetto birds, as my wife calls them. As I peeked outside, I saw that some 15 cop cars were about 200 yards away from me, cops with guns cocked and aimed at a house a little ways down from mine. Thankfully no shots were fired and the chopper and police cars eventually dispersed, but the experience was rather sobering. There's petty dealing going on at the corner gas station and I often see a hooker selling her wares at the Motel Sex...errr... Six across the way. This background is to qualify that I don't have a particularly elite view of the world and I know what ghetto feels like. Honestly other than the actual gun part, I couldn't give a crap about the prostitution or drug dealing. In fact, I think we'd probably all be better off if all that was decriminalized. This Walmart seems much like every other Walmart I've been to except I didn't see any hot food deli, but they do have a McDonald's who's prices aren't extra jacked up like in a airport. I originally showed up here cause there was a shirt I wanted at my local Walmart but they did not have my size so in my way to my in-laws I'd thought I'd stop here to see if they did and sure enough they did. Let me preface this with the admission that I hate Wal Mart - not just for their poor treatment of their employees and destruction of small town America, but also due to the fact they are a major contributor to our economic problems (they are cheap because they import EVERYTHING and should be tariffed). If you ever want to see a 300lb woman wearing a sting bikini top and short shorts? Or stoned, braless grandma in her nightgown? Or a parolee with his name tattooed across his neck and his pants hanging under his butt, barely able to walk? Or lots and lots of people in scooters blocking isles? Or idiots on cell phones with exhausted, crying little kids out shopping after 11PM? About half of their cashiers are so slow you can't tell they're even moving. The other half are fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Always call to confirm your prescription is ready, even if you get an email saying it is ready. There is a 50/50 chance it isn't ready... This place is really small, not well stocked and some customers are scary and dangerous. I won't go after dark. The hucksters selling stuff or begging outside all of the time are pushy and irritating. However, the prices are too good to pass up. I only wish it were a Super Walmart, not just an itty bitty Walmart. The manager would do well to manage his store and staff better. I know he can't always help the inventory issues but he could easily push cashiers to check faster... read more
