I use this location all the time for order pick up and the staff are always so friendly and quick!

Coming to this Walmart made me feel I was going to the fair or concert. They have turnstiles and a security guard when you enter but he didn't check my purse. Would be just as fun in the store? Unfortunately not. But they did have everything I was looking for such as peppers, tomatoes, cheese and then also more things that I wasn't looking for but thought would be fun to get! Who wouldn't want The Keg Cajun spice for $2 or mozzarella and marinara flavoured Ruffle chips? The food section was the only one I shopped in and it wasn't crazy busy for a Friday after work time. Things organized and aisles clean. Paying for groceries was quick and easy and I brought my own bags which the cashier bagged while I paid. That was great service. The security guard didn't check my bags on the way out but he was too busy chatting it up with a customer that entered. The McDonalds was busier than the cash lines so maybe that's where the all the fun was! read more

The pricing in this store is quite good. It's best to look at flyers or search online for deals before coming here. But if your here for groceries, than stick to that. I find that in this store if the price of something looks good you can almost easily be distracted and get it. Nothing from what your list may tell you, but you never wanna miss a good deal, right? Anyways, this store has almost everything like superstore itself, but more of the American brands. I find that they have a larger Bakery, fairly limited meats, lots of junk food, wide selection of clothes and shoes, a garden centre, electronics, pharmacy and baby supplies plus toys. They also have a McDonalds in store which good for employees. Staff is ok, but they have times of stress like most jobs which is notable at times. Security is tight due to constant customers and to prevent shoplifters from stealing. Parking is fairly big, with two entrances. Washrooms are near the customer service area where the check out is and is fairly well kept due to constant customers in and out. Also note, they have key copier if you need extra keys for something located at the back near the vehicle parts area. Recommended for daily shopping but if you see a deal, check it out as well. read more

OK, the Walmart Store at Westmount Edmonton (across the street from where I live) is a small one with not the greatest layout. But it's the employees -- especially in the Customer Service and Bedding Departments -- that make the place top drawer for me. I'm pretty disappointed in the state of this Walmart. I don't typically shop at Walmart but I ran in today to grab lightbulbs and a maybe a helium tank. The lightbulb shelf was so poorly stocked and in disarray. Sure, I found some bulbs that I could use but honestly it was a mess. I walked through some other departments before heading to the party decor section and I couldn't believe how badly the shelves looked. Mostly empty shelves with products tossed around in random piles. This was the case in the crafts aisle. I do think that some customers probably take products and throw them back on the shelves without thinking where they belong but this appears to have been neglected for a long time. I don't like to shop in a place where I have to hunt for the item I am buying. The cluttered feel of the shelves really makes me feel uncomfortable so I just give up. The employees I spoke with were friendly and tried to help me find items so I don't discredit them. I do believe the management could do a better job of "owning" the merchandising. read more

This is my local mainframe shopping venue. I go there for its convenience and pricing. I enjoy the grocery isles in particular. I find the prices to be very compatible with my budget and lifestyle. I am within easy reach of Superstore and Costco but Walmart gets most of my food budget dollars. The produce is fresh and day old items often on a special rack where they are offered up for a dollar. The check outs are generally fairly well manned and efficient (unlike other Walmarts where it seems to take forever to get through). The security dude is typically of another nationality and usually gives a smile and a wave as I pass through. Parking is easy and close to entrances on most days. What more does one need? Although Walmart is a part of a conglomerate of stores which take a huge share of the marketplace it must certainly be an element of competition that tamps down the higher cost of competitors around the burb. I have a pretty strong dislike of the Walmart franchise as a whole but once or twice a year inevitably I end up at one of their stores and usually leave with minimal good things to say. The store seemed pretty clean but the bathroom in the front was disgusting. If you have to use the washroom I really recommend making the trip to the back of the store and use the washroom located by the baby department. The quality of service here is almost as disgusting as those bathrooms. I wandered for ages trying to find the women's swimsuits and couldn't find a single soul working on the floor to help me out. When I finally found them they were hanging on the end of a rack in the men's section (because of course that's the first place you check when looking for a women's swimsuit) so I grabbed two and headed towards the dressing rooms. There was a woman standing there rehanging carts full of clothing who looked at me and muttered something about the person with the key not being there and then went back to hanging clothes. If someone hadn't come out of one of the fitting rooms and left the door open so I could come in I probably would have still been standing there. When I came out there was nobody standing there and multiple carts still sitting there waiting to be rehung. The whole fitting area is just one big unprofessional mess. If you have a large family or your on a budget inevitably I think you end up shopping at Walmart and they know it too which is how the majority of these stores get into the rough shape they are in. Please if you can shop local stores or at least shop chains with better store standards that work to earn your business. read more

We booked a portrait appointment for 3 adults and 1 toddler (for his first birthday) on January 17/18. Our photographer was Kirsten, she did an EXCELLENT job. I had brought in photos of sample poses I wanted, which she did, and also some others she suggested. We were VERY happy with the work Kirsten did, including the variety of poses and the quality of portraits she took. A BIG thank you to Kirsten!!! read more

The mcdonalds at this walmart were very unprofessional and rude got my orders wrong not once bot twice but 3 times i got hungry for crying out loud made me hangry this should hire a better staff who are more in tune with with better customer service and proper attitude towards customers im very disappointed with the service im sorry to say theyre work ethics and attitude are fit for the pit. read more

This is store has horrible service. Always lined up at the few cashiers that are open. Majority of cashiers closed all the time. Aisles are always filled with boxed merchandise to be shelved. I attempted to pay for my item at another line at customer service and while in that line I stopped a kid who worked there and enquired if I could pay for my item at customer service and he said he wasn't sure. I told him to look around him, every cashier except for 2 were closed and the lines went bending and winding down the store. He kindly took me and another lady at a new check out that he opened. Saved my day that kid. Rumor is a group of employees we're mostly there to access a lot of cash and were swapping out genuine bills with counterfeit. Store is just too huge and lacks cashiers. Don't go unless you have a lot of time to kill and like to chill in a very, very long check out line. read more

This Walmart needs to step up their stock game! The shelves are always bare, this seems to be the worst Walmart for that. Too many times I have left this Walmart and gone down the road to the Northgate location, I'll just start going there first. They have also recently installed some security measures by the front doors, it's understandable why they have to do this because they probably have tons of theft. It kind of makes me feel like a criminal when I have to go through the glass railing on the way in and show my receipt on the way out. You used to be able to walk past the security guard and if you had a bag you didn't have to stop. They have one security guard that isn't even nice about it and this makes it more awkward. There are stores that I can go to that won't make me feel like I've done something wrong when I haven't. read more

Had a heck of a time finding an employee in any department, then the next challenge was finding an employee who could understand English. Don't even talk to me about finding a cashier. It's like a demented video game getting through the levels. read more

waited in line when we got to the front told by lady in yellow vest to go to customer service to wait again while she served several customers that were behind us. store manager said the customary sorry. should have just left without the $60.00 plus in our cart. not sure if i will return to this store read more
