It is huge. Lots of things I wanted are a very very good price. Busy as heck but everyone was polite and manoeuvre around each other. I'll still need to go to another store for some of my more specific items that I need. Great way to stock up on school snacks for several months at a time. Line up to pay was daunting but it moved surprisingly quickly. read more

In all my years as a disabled person, this is the first time in any Costco I was asked if I would like to use a cart. At first I was worried that I would have to grip the bar tightly to drive (like a quad) but this mobility cart is created for those with stiff to similar to arthritic hands or in general low hand mobility/dexterity. I really appreciate the guy taking time to ask me & then to give a quick tutorial. Great for left & right hand users too. Wasn't sure if the cart would hold the charge as it was questionable on the display (and they were all hushed together plugged in) but I made it to all my necessary items plus grabbed a few more as the charge seemed to be holding strong (I never did the crazy covid TP stock up, but for small wins of the day, it was kind of exciting to be able to reach that far back into the store & by myself vs asking friends to walk the distance on behalf of me). The mobility cart is a bit touchy & definitely don't want to take it down the shorter cut through aisles (as the turning radius isn't there with such a big basket). For the most part it gave me the freedom to do more of my own personal shopping (granted the getting up & down was quickly maxing out my knees) as I wasn't allocating shopping time & walking distance to what pain I'm in & what pain I will be in if I go any further on the hard cement floor. That's a huge deal in my mind to leave Costco only slightly worse than I entered. As I was shopping with my other 2 friends (as I usually go with at least one person to be my legs for the further distances &/or arms to help carry or push a cart), this was the first time in ages I could offer to be the one "driving the cart". We all got what we needed & were happily surprised to see self-checkouts installed at this location. Made it much faster than the traditional stand in line for 20 min. Not only are the self checkouts well spaced for those really big Costco carts & have a side area large enough for all the items you might buy but they had 3 staff on hand to help with self-checkout. One in particular that was very good at approaching someone disabled & very kind & observant with what would be harder to scan myself (basically everything larger in my cart). I think besides the fruit, I had 2 small boxes I scanned myself. Super fast. I don't know if all those tills are marked for disabled users or if I got lucky to find the right self-checkout till (it has the blue icon on the screen) but this staff member was really good at letting me know they could get someone else to assist me with loading in my vehicle (a first ever offered to me by Costco) & where to return the mobility cart. As I had my friends going with me into the parking lot, I wasn't too worried about loading. I could always call them over to help if needed. I sat back down to back the cart up & I had another Costco attendant almost behind me already offering to drive it back into the store for me. That way I didn't have to walk all the way back out. I don't know what kind of new hiring method Costco is doing but keep it up. Seriously. Those 3 employees deserve some gold stars! On a side note, I've shopped at this Costco for more years. There's still some work with other staff, aisle spacing & general customer awareness that would assist with the success of mobility carts being used regularly but this is definitely the right step towards becoming better for those that need more accessible options. Again, this is the first time I've ever noticed more than one mobility cart & long overdue to have staff that can recognize those that need assistance. Heck even give recognition that a box won't work for someone with a cane... I really hope this isn't a one off experience as honestly this could change how often I shop. Way to step it up Costco. read more

Count your items if you go through the checkout. Three that I noticed had extra items added to it that weren't mine and they were able to be identified when I caught the mistake two times before leaving the store. The third time I didn't until later and this was an $89 Amount extra. I don't know how many times I have not checked my receipts and how much they have charged me. This is not small change. Also careful of their pharmacy. They've charged amounts for medication that are over and above or elsewhere. Horrible staff and Costco supports very concerning Behaviour from the staff. Not reliable for what you have requested and may not give you the actual request for medication. Stop going along while ago, even though I did try to bring the concerns that werefact based. Costco really you go you spend a lot of money, but it is becoming very poorly run. There are some better than others and most of us stay away from this north and Costco as much as we can and will drive extra just so we can go to a cleaner and a better variety as well as you don't get ripped off as often. read more

Costco Wholesale - Front entrance...... patiently waiting for it to open - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

This Costco has the same layout as every one I've visited in the USA and Canada. There ought to be no big surprises as you stroll around the store, save some Canadian variants to the stock: there are the jigsaw puzzles with a local theme and some differences in the food court. The customer service is pleasant and helpful. The tire store, well-stocked and quick. The rotisserie chicken taste as good, and are snapped up just as quickly as those in California. The meat counter has everything needed for the grill, and the salami, cheese, eggs, fish, and veggie sections will fill most any fridge. We don't take much from the frozen food aisles, but we surely desire many of the things offered. In fact, the only major deficiency is the lack of fresh poké from Hawaii; that raw ahi or yellowtail tuna cubes tossed in a variety of seasonings. Go shopping, walk side-by-side with your sweetie behind a cart, enjoy the samples and a sof' serve ice cream at the food court, and -- like the rest of us -- wish there was an express lane. read more

What a shame. Costco now freezes the peaches and they are now rotten inside when they ripen. I will miss buying those whole crates of peaches. Now I got to cut them up and throw the rotten half out. read more

I don't have a whole lot more to add than everyone else's reviews... Amazing quality of meat, fresh produce, roadshow specials... So I'll just mention my favorite things and my dream job... I grew up on Seattle (where Costco is from - hence Kirkland Signature products - Kirkland being a burb of Seattle...) So I've been going to Costco my entire life... even back when it was only a business center and my Dad had a business membership... I remember when the only food they sold was gum and candy in huge packages to be resold at Convenience stores, oh my! Anyway... My whole life I've had a love affair with Costco.. Anywhere I travel - I must visit their Costco. My dream job would be to travel the world - go to Costco's and review their food courts and designer products. Do you think I have a pitch for the food network here? The Clareview Costco is one of the smaller Costco's in Edmonton but probably my favorite one! They have awesome staff - especially this AMAZING asian dude in electronics (I can't remember his name... Grr... I'll have to update this later...) but he's funny and hillarious and knows his stuff! He's a big guy - 6 feet tall and the BEST! When in Vancouver - you must have teriyaki at their food court. When in Seattle - you must have lattes and mochas and cappaccinos and real fruit smoothies! Did you know that they don't serve french fries in the states at Costco? Yep, that's totally a Canadian thing! (Just like Taco Bell and KFC don't serve french fries in the states, either). The best thing about our Costco food court here - is the root beer floats! Root beer floats you say? That's right, I said root beer floats! You see this is how it goes... My hubby orders a hot dog and gets the free cup for pop with unlimited refills and I order vanilla ice cream in a cup instead of a cone. Naturally, I snag his pop cup - fill it 2/3 with rootbeer than put in vanilla ice cream! And the beauty of it is - you still have enough ice cream for another rootbeer float or a coke float or an orange float - Yes, yes... this is heaven! And POUTINE - my God! What do they do to their heavenly fries - it's almost like their battered in some sort of golden crispy rain from heaven then covered in fresh cheese and smothered in gravy goodness... Riddle me this: Where else can you order a hot dog and pop, poutine, and have 2 rootbeer floats for under $10?!? I know, I know... I sound like I've completely gone off the deep end... and I have... I'm in love with Costco. In New York - the Costco's are built up instead of out - so you shop multiple floors and they have a little magickal conveyer belt that take your cart up to the next floor for you! I have discovered that I'm not alone... there are people out there that blog about Costco! http://www.ilovecostco.com/ Some of the best ones are the Asian blogs about Costco... They have the most unique products and food court items ever! And samples... it's like they know the key to my heart and how to get me to buy 400 pounds of something I don't need! Their customer service is superb and I've only ever had one significant problem - which occurred at the West end location - and was later resolved after I had written two letters and spoken with two managers. Their return policy is the best in the universe! Where else can you try out a digital camera or camcorder for 90 days before deciding to keep it or not? I could go on and on... My heart belongs to Costco... (Okay for the sake of being objective - my one and only complaint is that the Costco's here are so much smaller than the ones I grew up with in Washington. In Washington they have a wine steward that will give you suggestions of wine for your meal... they have 4-6 aisles of stationary - that's right nerds - I'm serious! Aisles and aisles of pens and paper! It's like you've died and gone to office supply heaven! And they even have a Business center that specializes in office supplies, and refurbished computers at Costco prices!!! And the clothing! We're talking 40-60 tables of clothing with brand names like Seven, Ralph Lauren, etc.) So the next time you're travelling the world and thinking of places to visit - hit up Costco! Your membership is good at all locations worldwide and while you're there... check out their food court and tell us what amazing local food court item you've found! read more

I do understand when Costco gets super busy . some of the employees can't handle it. So I was just at 50th street Costco like I have been going there for 9 years on and off. Been a ok store so I put my order up at checkout and this angry little lady came over and said leave heavy items in cart which I have done for years . I did nothing different then I have for years so my question is why did she toss most of my light things back in cart while the till lady was trying to get her attention how embarrassing for her she definitely needs time off or be in a different position. I was trying to get myself out of state I'm in right now and that interaction didn't help read more

So they tell you to keep the heavy items in your cart. Apparently so the cashiers don't get overstrained. So I leave all the heavy items in the basket, and of course they forget to scan them. They accost me at the doors and make it sound like I was "hiding" items in my basket. "Come back to the cash sir and we will scan these items". They noticed the oxygen cylinder going to a hose going to my face. They noticed the big boxes of cat litter in the basket (the items they missed) and my struggle to move a large basket of goods. I told them to get the portable scanner (every store has one) and that this was difficult for me. "You don't have to be rude sir" Yes I do. You cannot do a simple job like scan my items at the cash, and you expect me to push a heavy cart back to the scene of the crime. Do your job morons. Now that was rude. read more

It's nice living within minutes of this location. We always gas up the cars there. We enjoy Kirkland brands and shop mostly the grocery lines though I got a lawnmower there a few years ago and a Samsung tv more recently. Also bought a Dyson vacuum there 6 years ago and still working fine. Only drawback is that it's not a store where you get literally everything. If you need a turnip or whatever. It's a great place to grab a snack! Let's go to Costco! read more

I was looking for a Ninja Foodi 5 in 1 Indoor Grill. It was sold out at most of the local Costco's as well as online. At the west end store we were told that the 50th Street location potentially had a few left. We drove across town to find that we were given the incorrect item number and that they might not have any more. However after some searching through the computer and looking through the warehouse by Nikki and the manager, Randy, we were able to purchase and go home with one. Thank you so much for going above and beyond the norm. You guys rock! read more

The NEW self check out feature is great for shoppers with only a few items. However there is no liquor store at this location. read more

I don't have a Costco membership, so I don't visit this location terribly frequently... but when I tag along with friends or family members here, I inevitably find at least something awesome to purchase! On my most recent trip I stocked up on sunscreen and it was awesome! :) I resisted the urge to buy all the sandals, or to purchase patio furniture but there's so many useful things for sale here. I got a delicious sample of Balderson old cheddar cheese in the food area of the store, and I walked all the aisles of the store to see what I could see and find great things. Usually the portions are a bit more than I need to buy of a lot of things, but I do not mind buying quality things in bulk if they won't spoil before they are used. Costco has a great return policy which is extra helpful for clothing (especially if unsure about sizing!). Other unusual/useful things that Costco sells includes toilets, gift cards, stamps, batteries, vitamins, books etc. Finally they have a nice little fast food cafe which sells good hot dogs. I had a soft serve sundae on my most recent trip to this location and while it was a bit bigger than I needed necessarily, it was yummy and was a great way to end our shopping outing here. read more

I've been a Costco member for the last year and I really think it's changed the way I meal prep - for the better! Now I always buy the basics in bulk from this location. The produce section is awesome organised even when the place is packed! I love the fresh meat area and that the do offer some free range options and organic. It's the same every Costco you visit but this one has friendly staff and I never get road rage with my cart in this one. People seem to know where they are going. The samples are fab too. read more

It's just another Costco but worse! The staff are unprofessional the manager is incompetent and the people who check memberships at the front make up new rules just for a laugh they say. I had a lot better experience at other locations like Kamloops. read more

I don't have a giant family or a great urge to buy bulk amounts of toilet paper or massive jars of mayonnaise. Still, those who limit their perception of Costco for just stocking up for party items or as a symbol of North American excess, is missing out. "It's big, it's not fancy," Cameron says in Modern Family, comparing himself to the wholesale behemoth, "But I dare you not to like me." To a current DINK like myself, Costco is about the hard-to-find items or designer deals where Costco gets exclusivity and partnerships. So there's Costco-special alternations and prices for certain products, like the high-quality standing gas range I bought for HALF the price from other stores, or the chandelier that hangs on my ceiling that people don't know only cost $99. Or what about being one of the few suppliers to my favourite cleaning product, Pink Solution, a Canadian-based green cleaning solution? Because Costco is so large, they have a lot of negotiating and buying power, so even getting quotes from suppliers that are Costco-backed often give you better numbers. They also have a lot of cheap workout clothes on sale at almost all times, and occasional sales on shoes. On top of which, they stock great foodie items like proscuitto from Parma, Italy, and a variety of other cheeses, and even a bunch of organic products, if you so fancy. You have to watch because not everything at Costco is a deal, but if you're a savvy shopper, you shouldn't waive Costco as a possible stop to help decorate or enhance your home, or stock your pantry with some tasty goodies. read more

I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff here. I came in because I was waiting for my tires to be serviced and decided to have a nice cream. I adore the chocolate soft serve at the cafeteria. Yum! read more

I miss going to Costco a lot, because it's so much fun. I used to have a card, but now I only get to go, when a friend is nice enough to let me tag along. Be warned that if you get a membership, your picture that they put on the back may end up looking rather disturbing. For some reason my head appeared to be squished, and I looked almost alien-like. Personally, I don't think Costco is that cheap. I've found the same exact bulk items, like Hot Rods, for even less at Superstore. Some stuff is still a great deal, especially produce, but what I am going to do with ten bell peppers? I once had pizza from here that you take home and cook yourself. It's so amazingly good. It was way better than Delisio or any other kind of frozen pizza. It really did taste like it was from a restaurant. Costco has a great return policy. I bought a Sanyo TV here, but it was defective, so I exchanged it for a new one. That one was also defective, so I got my money back. I also bought a computer chair here, and I was allergic to it. They took it back, even though it had been put together and everything. read more

Costco is, IMO, the best place to get produce if you eat a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. I'd like them to have more organic selection, but the prices are truly unbeatable and so is the freshness. All year long you can get fresh berries that are (90% of the time) perfectly fresh and tasty. They also have frozen organic fruit as well. Organic greek yogurt as well! Fantastic deals on cereals, and gluten free goods like cookies, almond flour, chips, and more! Oh, and protein powders, granola bars, etc... all really great prices. I stopped buying my meat their as I just felt it wasn't that great, more times that once. I do still buy some frozen fish fillets and frozen shrimp, as well as fresh steaks, and roasts, but my chicken I definitely get elsewhere. I just don't like their chicken. But everything else... excellent! read more
