Super excited for Nisku Costco! Whenever a new Costco opens up, I'm like a kid in a candy store waiting to see what new bells and whistles they will have! This location boasts the usual amenities like gas bar, liquor store, pharmacy, deli, & food court. You will never find a cheaper dispensary fee for prescriptions than in Costco. The gas bar is cheap cheap and the liquor store has my go to bevvie- GIANT Kirkland Signature Sangria for about $12! (Pro tip - mix with 1/3 to 1/2 sparking flavored water or plain Perrier and frozen fruit in place of ice! Also a silly straw taped to the bottle makes the purrfect end of year teacher gift). New bells and whistles in Nisku include include a newer style cart (the kiddo section is deeper and doesn't fold) and coffee grinders in the food court (just like the American locations!) Word on the street is they will soon have the American style send service order tablets for the food court, too! Really hoping this location will lessen the insane busyness of the 91 street YEG location. Living somewhere without a Costco is like a Kristin without Kats! Hip hip hooray!!! Costco is probably my favorite store currently in existence. Being from WA, I'm probably more biased than most because we had such easy access to them but I have plenty of friends in my new hometown of Las Vegas who have never lived in WA and love them as much as I do. Going to Costco in Canada is even more fun because they have stuff geared toward their people and you can find a lot of cool new food to try and products to buy. When my kids were in diapers, we used to drive up to the Costco in Abbotsford, BC because it was the first store when you crossed the border & diapers were literally half the cost of what they were in US. This location was just as cool and of course I didn't make it out the door without grabbing a tray of their excellent poutine in the food court. read more

I have always had very good experience at Costco warehouses, be it here in Canada(including the Niscu/airport location) or the US..except April 21st, 2024, at Costco Niscu. For the very first time in my shopping at Costco for over a decade, an associate named MARIA, who was, at the time, working at the customer service/returns area, treated me(my children with me..i have to mention, my husband was a few steps behind, and he saw everything) so rudely, singled me out, screaming at me repeatedly, until she got my attention. After a trip of more 2 hours non-stop, we decided to fill-up for gas, have a washroom break, a late lunch, a bit of grocery shopping, washroom again, before hitting the road for another long trip home. It just so happened that while we were filling up, our youngest announced she needed to use the washroom. Thankfully, we were able to find a close spot to park soon after, we all hurried to the door, with my costco card already in hand. I showed my card to the lady at the door, motioned I am waiving for all four of us. The lady at the door acknowledged me and the rest of the family. I then hurriedly kept the card, and got hold of my children's hands, leaving my husband a few steps behind, as i started navigating with my girls through. All of a sudden, with no display or words of politeness(NO EXCUSE ME, NO NOTHING) I heard somebody screaming, "DO YOU HAVE A COSTCO CARD!?" repeatedly. I did not realize it was me she was screaming at, until I looked to my side towards the source of the screaming voice..coming from a woman with a coloured blond, long hair. I answered, "Yes, I do." let go of my children's hands, and fished yet again my executive card to show her. I also informed her, that the other lady at the door already saw my card. Well, she said thank you..yet it never occured to her to apologize for her actions. Her actions shamed/humiliate, and disrespected me in front of other people, especially in front of my children. After I had my lunch quickly, before heading to do a little shopping, I went back to talk to her. I asked what her name was, and she told me it is MARIA. I asked what her full name was..she finally realized I was the one she screames at earlier, she just said, "we check the cards before people gets in," and turned around, pretended to talk to a tall male associate inside the box with her, and did so, until I left. - I found that very rude..and again, it never accured to her to apologize at all. I should add, she did not ask my husband of his card. There was no way she would have seen we were with him as he was a few steps behind..that is how we can tell MARIA really singled me out. After shopping, before leaving the warehouse, I wrote a feedback and left it at the feedback box. The following day, both my husband and I left a feedback on the Costco website online. I did not leave an e-mail, but my husband asked to be contacted. My husband also tried to send an e-mail to costco..and then another e-mail through another means for costco. - Even now, as I am writing this, we never heard from whoever is responsible in responding to feedbacks online, as well as e-mails. - It seems like they do not care how their associates act. Anyhow, this peaked our curiousity, and we started looking at other reviews online. Reviews on YELP, REDDIT, GOOGLE, etc. - We read unhappy reviews about some people working in the Niscu warehouse..complaints/experiences similar to my story..some mentioned names, some did not. - We thought, there must be more than the number we read, only, most people would peobably just choose to keep it quiet. I know, I used to be like that. This time, I am speaking up because what MARIA did was unacceptable, especially because this expereince invovled my children. At the same time, I want to mention that otherwise, all the other Costco Niscu associates I spoke with, or had an encounter with, in the times I had been in that warehouse, were all very good. read more

My to go Costco place since I could go the one on 91 street or take a highway 2 and arrive at this one in Nisku. I actually visited this place a year ago when I still lived in the west side of Edmonton. I was just curious how big this Costco is. One of the employees was reassured me that this one is the biggest Costco in Canada. Last February, when we finally moved to the South side of the city, I was checking which Costco is closer to where we live. Based on the distance in km, it's the same. But this Costco has much more easier access. Take 41 ave SW up to Highway 2 to south (Calgary), drive up to the airport road exit. Space wise, the place is much more comfortable to roam. I found traffic inside the store is less compare to the one on 91 street NW. The one on 91 street NW is more crowded with less space. read more

I like Costco. But my fav locations is the one in Leduc. Minimal traffic inside and out. I'm never in a line longer than five minutes and I can get through a whole shopping spree from entering to exiting in 20 min. But this location makes me want to take my time! Lots of room to walk around and stroll and staff are super friendly. Parking is awesome! I usually go on Friday's but even on the weekend it's not so bad! read more

Show up at this Costco an hour before closing Tuesday-Thursday and you pretty much have the store to yourself. I'm almost hesitant to post this because I really enjoy how open and free it is at that time, but I really want to save you all from the horror that is - *shudder* - 91 Street Costco. Seriously - I've gone here on a Tuesday evening and - slightly exaggerated - you could probably just drive your car right in and drive around shopping and not hit anybody. Nothing's ever been out of stock, there's lots of produce, fresh bakery items and meats to be had. The customer service is also great, and the employees seem to be relaxed. Bonus - there's a Costco liquor store here too (stock up for the next time you have to visit the 91 Street Costco and need some motivation/courage). read more
