So so cheap compared to prefilled tanks anywhere else. Love the large parking spots - why can't all parking lots be like Costco? My favorite can't live without Costco item - Rotisserie chicken (especially the day old ones in the cooler for $2 off) - they make the BEST stock and soup in the instant pot! Also shout out to the pharmacy with the LOWEST dispensary fees in the province! See you soon Costco, real soon! PS *Bring back the lattes and cappuccinos in the food court!*

Finally got my Costco membership, after just tagging along with family members that had one. Was…read morehesitant at first since it is just myself but there are some great deals here. PRO's Was looking for winter tires and they are much cheaper here than at the other tire stores. Bonus was they were even on sale from the regular price when I was looking. They carry both the 2 best winter tires, Bridgestone WS90 and Michelin Ice. If there are things that you go through lots of fast, you will find it cheaper to buy in bulk here. For myself that would be razors, spinach, and some of the meats and poultry. If you have a freezer even better. They gave some great ready to go food as well. And yes, the rotisserie chicken is a great deal and great for an easy and tasty dinner! Lastly, the best deal I love here and worth the membership alone is the gas or propane fill up. I have a fire table and a BBQ and have 3 propane tanks that need to be filled every summer. The cost to fill all 3 is about how much it would cost to fill 1 at most places! CON's Everything is mostly bulk so for a single person like myself I don't buy any fruits or things that could go bad fast. There never seems to be a down time, so always prepare for lineups. If you don't have much to buy, going thru the self checkout is faster. There is an annual membership cost either $60 or $120. But if you're like me and even just go for propane, you will find that you make back the cost from that savings alone. For a single person like me I still go buy some things at other grocery stores that I don't need in bulk, such as vegetables, fruits and naked goods. But I love going here to pick up bulk things that work out so much cheaper and will lasts me weeks or months.

Beverages are also sold, such as soda pop, coffee and tea, water, to name a few. Costco also has a fair sized pharmacy where you can find anything that the regular pharmacy sells, plus a prescription counter and an optometrist department. Clothes, furniture, cameras and electronics are also sold. When you are done shopping, many can be hungry, but thankfully there is a restaurant on location. And if you are in need of fuel for your vehicle, or need a tire change, Costco offers these services. Shopping at Costco does require a membership to shop there. There is personal membership (Gold Star and Executive Member), and business membership. All have different membership fees and do offer different benefits for each. Finally, Costco is a store that can be more expensive to shop at, but it os worth the price as you get a larger quantity of what you need !!

As it isn't the Costco I'm most familiar with, sometimes we spot things here we wouldn't otherwise but it isn't quite organized the same as our preferred Costco location so that sometimes hampers our experiences. There is a huge parking lot and it is a bit awkward to access from the street given the land configuration/road configuration but it is a pretty decent place to shop, just like any other Costco!

I started going here about 12 years ago when I moved into Old Strathcona. Back then, I found this…read morestore to be dingy and disorganized. I could not stand the long lines at the registers, so I quit going. Yesterday, curiosity got the better of me. I noticed they spruced things up a bit and I wanted to see for myself. I asked a staff member if I needed a membership because it had been so long since my last visit, I wasn't sure if things had changed in that area. Happily, I didn't need one and I just picked up a couple of things. Produce mostly. I was pretty happy with what I saw, but they still try to hock their near-expired meats and veg on certain racks. It looks disgusting. Overall, it sure is a lot cleaner and brighter inside. At 3:30 pm, I did not have to wait long to pay. I think I'll be back in the very near future.

The store has a variety of cooking / baking and kitchen needs. From home cooking to restaurant / buffet equipment ( I even noticed they sell hot dog machines !! ) . The meat / deli bulk fridge is well stocked as well. I usually buy the bigger cuts of beef and pork because during the time I spent at home I learned how to cut them into meal portions ( thanks YouTube ). I actually save quite a bit of money when I buy in bulk. The freezer section has a lot of different products - not just your normal frozen chicken / beef. The seafood area is also well stocked with a lot of choices. Sadly Edmonton does not really have a fresh fish market. Lots of frozen pies and cakes as well. One thing I also like here is the wide selection of spices and dried goods . I use a lot of spices when I am cooking . Spice is the variety of life isnt it? There is also a wide variety of drink crystals, syrups and other choices. Once i have loaded up, off to the tills. Due to covid, you have to stand at a spot on the floor and wait your turn but the wait is never too long. While you wait they tease you with racks of candy and snacks.. tempting though. The one thing I like is bagging my own groceries. It always amazes me how much I can actually put into one plastic bag vs staff who pretty much insist on using far too many bags. I dont really care the loaf of bread is sitting on top of a carton of eggs. A few bags later, I am stocked up for awhile and dont have to go back to get more every second week or so. I love how the staff there wear t-shirts that say " be kind ". How sad we have to tell people to behave themselves.. but then again there are some that just feel better yelling at staff . Good store if you want to stock up for a long time.. worth going just before winter so you dont have to go out in minus 40. Yea there are things that are slightly more expensive than other stores but the idea is to buy in bulk and stock up. Definitely worth going for your bulk needs without having to buy a membership.

Found lots of great buys including canned tuna for 97 cents, chicken drumsticks for less than $2/lb, 6 bagels for $1.67, margarine tub for $1, and other items for $1. Wow, great prices! There are some departments that were smaller than other stores including the meat and bakery. Bring your own bags or you can use the boxes they have. The first few stalls on the west side of the building in front are reserved for handicapped. Big enough I can back in a crew cab pick-up truck. No curb! All flat from the parking lot to the inside of the store. For anyone in a wheelchair or even using a walker, this is a huge benefit. Someone has been very thoughtful with planning. Once inside the store I sought out the Manager. I wanted to compliment him. Instead I found a fellow in a suit from Home Office who was bagging groceries. He told me this was a new design and that he appreciated my feedback. The fact a Home Office Suit was packing groceries is a good thing. Home Office is paying attention and involved with the business. Today was part of a Grand Opening. I did later get to speak with the Store Manager who told me he has some slight changes he wants to make with regard to parking. I commented, "It's nice to see that the store manager has the ability to make those kinds of changes. Many store managers do not." The manager's response was, "Absolutely. It's my store." This is definitely not the answer you would get from some of the other chains. Today the store was well stocked and very well staffed. It was busy and lines were moving quickly. There may be slightly lower price options elsewhere but those places charge for bags and do not have quite the same attention to customer service.
