But I hardly ever buy anything from Sobeys, there prices are complete out to lunch, when they have sales and there prices are still 1 to 2 buck more then at No frill, Walmart or Superstore. I love it when they have the buy 2 and get one free, we its not really free they increase the price of these items before that so called sale starts. Its the same with "Save On Food" which is the wrong name for this outfit as they are just as bad as Sobeys. I want to support Canadian but when I feel like I am getting ripped off every time I walk in the store, you have to draw the line sometime.

I stop in weekly as it's very convenient for me however the cashiers are not very friendly except the bakery and deli. The store is well stocked with the exception of meat sales where occasionally they will sell out. The guy in the meat department will gladly offer a raincheck. The deli area offers fresh sushi, hot bbq chicken, potato wedges and dips like seafood, spinach and Mexican. The post office is handy for people who live in the area. You can pick up and send parcels and has all your mailing needs like envelopes and stamps. The bakery accepts special orders so talk to the manager or one of the staff and they will happy to help. I ordered a vanilla cake with raspberry filling and a ombré rose design and it was very pretty and delicious. The cake was moist and had enough filling you can actually take raspberry! Would definitely order again for a special occasion.

They don't carry my very favourite item (cheese bread) but the manager of the bakery, Rhyand Zarasate, will make it for you by request! It's got 4 "self checkout" stands, for anyone who wants to come in and out fast. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and I've never had any issues with them. Last week I bought more groceries then I originally thought I would be getting. I had my arms full and one of their young male employees came up to me and asked if he could help me to my car. I rarely ask for help, but he saw I was struggling and took it upon himself to help. He wasn't a cashier, bagger or anything, he worked in the produce area. So he didn't have to help me out at all, but he did. Huge props to that man! I haven't noticed their prices are any different than in any other grocery stores. I've never had any problems with their food, and love the premade items! They're perfect for quickly grabbing a healthy lunch/dinner meal. I know one of my friends appreciates the large gluten-free selection. So before she comes over for a visit, I always go to Sobeys to grab some things she can eat.

The pharmacist there had to be ask me 3 times as she didn't understand when I said I am here to collect the pills that are owed to me from the other day! Even told her the med and it is on my file that they were not able to give me the full amount. This pharmacist needs to listen, and read the notes on my file. Not happy with this place right now. No Frills is no Superstore and that I like! I like Superstore prices but I don't like the empty…read moreshelves and often dirty store. But No Frills had stock in sale items I wanted to purchase and I didn't find it dirty. The produce section had a great variety as good prices. I bought a huge tub of blueberries for $4! Some of the fruit didn't seem so great with bruises but most of it was fresh. Found lots of great buys including canned tuna for 97 cents, chicken drumsticks for less than $2/lb, 6 bagels for $1.67, margarine tub for $1, and other items for $1. Wow, great prices! There are some departments that were smaller than other stores including the meat and bakery. Bring your own bags or you can use the boxes they have. Parking lot is a zoo though, as we witnessed a few near accidents.

Bright, clean & fairly new Save On…read more Save On has a couple perks that keep me popping in like Daryl's Deal of the Week - think high end loss leader and often an excellent cut of meat from the butcher block. Another lovely thing about Save On is that they will give kiddos a free piece of fruit in lieu of the standard bakery cookie - love this! They have an Save On Rewards cats for deals and points accumulation that thankfully the cashier can lookup with your phone number once registered (one less card to carry around and lose). You need to know your price points when shopping here - there are deals to be had but many, many items are $1, $2, or even $3 more than what you find at Superstore. The washrooms at this location are located up front next to customer service - and I had to chuckle because the ladies was long like a bowling lane & there was a change table for wee ones :-) Two thumbs up :-) PS If you're on the hut for Halo Top, you'll find it here.

They had some about 7 nicer flower bunches for more than $20. I ended up getting a plant of mums for less than $10 with my Save On card. For a weekday evening around 6:30, it wasn't very busy and I didn't have to wait long in the line. The cashier was also kind enough to put the plant into a paper wrap for me. The store seemed clean and I would likely shop here for groceries if I need them and was in the area. If you are looking for flowers, you might not be able to find exactly what you want though.
