They had some good deals on items like Roxy backpacks for $29.99 (I uploaded pics) and a shoe section that beats Winners handsdown (more like shoe warehouse). I uploaded lots of pics of shoes, too - of course! The toy section and home section were pretty small but that's okay 0- that's what Winners and HomeSense are for. They offer designer handbags ranging from $200 for a clutch right up to $900 (and of course, you got it - more pics!). Overall, the store felt 50% stocked - LOTS of space between aisles and it would appear they need to double their inventory. Expect the prices and quality to be inline with Winners and definitely worth a trip to wander around but nothing to write home about. Wish I could give them 3 stars - better than average but not quite in the 4 category to me.

Who wouldn't want The Keg Cajun spice for $2 or mozzarella and marinara flavoured Ruffle chips? The food section was the only one I shopped in and it wasn't crazy busy for a Friday after work time. Things organized and aisles clean. Paying for groceries was quick and easy and I brought my own bags which the cashier bagged while I paid. That was great service. The security guard didn't check my bags on the way out but he was too busy chatting it up with a customer that entered. The McDonalds was busier than the cash lines so maybe that's where the all the fun was!

But here I was able to find two versions of the shoe I was looking for. The salesperson was very helpful and was able to help me find the size I was looking for. I have come here a few other times to get shoes and boots for my daughter. We always seem have to have a great experience and are able to find what we are looking for. I also love their discount shelves in the back, always worth a look to see if there is a good deal.

I was going to purchase $200+ in products, I waited at the one till, where only one till was open, this is at 4:30 pm, then asked if I can check out at the Marshals store and walked over there, thinking it be faster, no big deal(there was 6+ behind me) I went to the other line and more people there, and only one till, waited 10 minutes, no movement in the line. I placed my items in a cart and left. A total of 20 min waiting to pay that's ridiculous. The manager/staff need to take some courses on business. Absolutely terrible.

We went to that aisle no luck. Walked around crossed paths with Colton we asked him for help explained the above he said "Aisle 22 is behind you" and he pointed behind me. I said yes we looked but we can't find them, his response was "I don't work in hardware. You need to find someone from there." I said "Colton, you have a radio, can you call someone for help?" He made the loudest sigh and rolled his eyes so hard I am sure he saw his brain stem and pretended to use his radio and the made a quick exit to the stockroom. I went and spoke to the manager and he gave the excuse Colton was in training. So either Colton is as bright as he is friendly/helpful or their training is lacking. I am guessing both.

I know this is a difficult time of year for so many people, so I try to be extra nice to retail workers. The lady who helped us was a bit stern at first, you could tell she was just waiting for some attitude from me. But as we got her talking and my daughter complimented her on her broach, she changed her demeanour and began to smile. It was such a lovely interaction I just had to write about it. So often we have bad retail experiences and I wanted to highlight a great one. She wished us a very merry Christmas as we finished. And I think we all left with a warm glow of good cheer. Great customer service and a great experience.

Almost everything there is made in China & most of their chain stores are based there as well. My in-law always seems to buy my family souvenirs from this brand whenever he goes to China. I was surprised that they've expanded to Canada so I had to pay it a visit. The store itself is small, but there is just enough room to manoeuvre a regular stroller but the aisles are tight & not in straight rows like most dollar stores. Pricing is not cheap like a dollar store, but affordable for what they offer. I would say item quality is superior than dollar store for many things. Items are also packaged very nicely & uniformly, look stylish/trendy/classy, some are also unique, and kid friendly, so it seems like your getting a good deal. I've never really had complaints about the stuff I've received from there or from what I bought. The staff are pretty friendly too & although there is very limited parking in the front, there's also parking stalls available at the back of the building too. I'd definitely come back to find some new things that 'I didn't know I needed in my life until I got there' type stuff.

There is public washrooms with change table at this location & shopping carts are available despite the location seeming to be smaller than most Marshalls stores I've to been to. I normally go to these types of stores to browse without any specific brand or style in mind. That being said, there's still quite a bit of selection to choose from and with really affordable pricing...a lot of awesome clearance deals too for brand name items! It's also brightly lit, well organized, and the checkout line is very spacious. I do like how there's a small waiting area in front of the change rooms for your 'non-shopper' pals to wait for you. I think this store will bring some much needed clientele to Northgate mall & I'd probably stop in again if I'm in the area...it's hard to resist great deals!

The owner is hilarious. He treats you like a celebrity when you walk in, he knows your name, knows what kind of clothes you like and what sizes. He starts unfolding everything for you that he thinks will look good. He comes across as a bit pushy and some people probably get annoyed of that, like I did the first time I went in, but after a while your realize hes got good intentions. I have a friend that loves shopping at this store to and the owner remembers everything each of us buy and won't let either of us buy something that the other has already bought. It's almost like having your own personal shopper. I always get his honest opinion about what looks good and what doesn't, and he is always sharing the latest fashion tips. I frequent this store so much that now he has started giving me a discount which is pretty cool too. Like I mentioned before, most of the clothes are pretty expensive but this store has a selection that you will not find anywhere else.
