I wouldn't pay full price for most of their clothes here as it's usually overpriced and not the highest quality but you can find some stylish items here. In other Ricki's I have received great service, but this one not so much. If I'm in the area, I may pop in but I would not make a special trip to come to this store.

First walking in the store was pleasant enough, I was greeted and told about the sale they're having on all their jeans. But there came a turning point, I was approached by the same sales clerk four times! First two were to tell me about the sale on jeans. I thought nothing of it, there were a lot of people in the store maybe the clerk forgot she'd already seen and approached me at the entrance to the store. Third time I was looking at a sweater, I was approached and I was asked if I needed a size I said no thanks I see that there isn't a small. The fourth was to ask me if I would consider another colour. At that point I thought wow this girl is persistent! So I figured if she's not going to let me shop on my own I might as well make conversation. Seeing the condition of the store and having experience in retail myself I made comment in sympathizing with all the endless folding they must do ( making this comment while she was trying to get me to consider the sweater she was showing me). In response as politely as I could I said that it was not really my taste, she seem to take offense. My last remark to her was to say: "Thanks for your help but I think I will keep looking". Her reply was: "Well thanks for letting me unfold the sweater". Is this an anomaly in service? I hope so!! We all have off days but this is no way to treat customers especially if you want them to be repeat customers.

This store is obviously catered for the female customers as the girl's section is about two-thirds of the store. On the same note, the guys side is not too bad itself. Service here has been difficult to find, and I shop here not expecting a sales attendant to help me. The store is very clean and they have loud fast-paced music pumping to just try and get you excited and shop more. If you've been dragged here, there is a couch and tv at the back of the store; although this is usually just playing accompanying music video to the store music, it is at least something to watch and the couches can be comfortable especially when walking all around the mall. They have plenty of fittings rooms so there is rarely a long wait, and if there are staff there, they will help you look for your size.

With my 25% coupon in hand, I was able to get a new fall top, camisole, and black suit jacket, all for less than $60. I was also able to purchase jewelry for 50% off since I spent more than $40. Based on this, I would rate this store 4 stars. However, there were quite a few staff and I was never acknowledged the whole time I was browsing and carrying my items. This is unusual for Ricki's as they typically ofter to start a fitting room and take your items. I will shop here again and hope the service improves.

I over heard other customers given the same bit of info without disclosing the better deals. Maybe it is just how their corporate wants to promote? That being said, the sales associates are extremely friendly and will go to any lengths necessary to find the right size, even phoning other stores and getting it shipping to their location for your pick up at no extra cost. They have something for everyone in the store, granted you're willing to burn a hole in your bank account- I guess that's why the customer service is so good. They have all the high end brands from Hugo Boss to Gucci to Lacoste to Salvatore Ferragamo to Fred Perry and other higher end designer clothing. If you something that is not quite your size, then their in-house tailer is brought up right away and tailored to your exact measurements. I remember the original Harry Rosen when it was just one small unit. Now it has expanded to three store lengths and offers a wide variety of suits, dress shirts, ties, dress and casual shoes, and also casual (but still high end) clothing. I've also shopped online when I was desperate, but between the exchange rate, extreme shipping costs, and the custom fees... you end up paying twice as much. The quality of Torrid's clothing though makes it almost worth it. So when we heard this store would be opening in December, I lost my mind! I chose to attend the grand opening of this location (The first in Edmonton) on December 10th. I was happy with the selection, though the Torrid website still holds much more than what you'll find in store. I expected the prices to be a little higher (thanks to the crappy exchange rate), but was still surprised with how high some of it was. I would put the prices on par with Addition Elle, which is a shame. But be sure to sign up for their emails and you'll get lots of deals and coupons sent to you!! The staff were absolutely fantastic while dealing with a group of excited shoppes. Honestly, they never looked stressed or overwelmed. I don't know what kind of training they go through to be able to handle that so well, but I think everyone should be made to train with them for a day before ever dealing with customers!

This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with clearance or sale trousers here, either, as one time I purchased a pair of trousers that were eligible to be hemmed at no extra charge, and the sales associate serving me completely failed to mention that to me at all and I paid to have them hemmed elsewhere. A suggestion to Henry Singer, if I may: just make the hemming of trousers complementary no matter the price, sale or no sale. What you do now seems both selective and cheap, making your company appear to be tight-fisted . That may not be your intention, but that's how it looks in my eyes.
