It's definitely one of my favourite stores! They have very unique and interesting outfits! I especially like their selections of shirts and jackets. Never like their shoe collection (maybe too old to find them appealing) Customer service is always good and I never noticed any issues in that area! My husband was skeptical and wondered if I needed to make a minimum purchase to use that credit. I used it tonight on a purchase and it is definitely as good as money. Scan and go! Simons is a place that has grown on me over time. During my first few visits I remember being overwhelmed with the massive size of this store, and also had a few negative experiences with staff in the fitting room areas (just being super unfriendly). However, in my recent visits I have found so many wonderful new clothing items- all very reasonably priced. What is great about simons is their giant selection. They have clothing and accessories for both women and men, as well as a household area with everything from decor to bedding. I'll tell you what I like about Simons ... variety. This is not a boring retail establishment. Inside you can pay 60$ for an ugly sweater with a roaring tiger on the front that looks like it was drawn by a junior high student or you can pick up an impressive $1,500 suit. At times you can overpay for styles you'd find cheaper elsewhere, but inside you'll find occasional sales and well priced items that you thought were more expensive. It's zig and zag, it's salt and pepper and that's why I keep coming back! It's weird to say this but I absolutely love the men's underwear, ties and socks options. Oh, Simons how quick I was to dismiss you as a store that would be too expensive, too young in style, too busy and would only have clothes to fit Skeletor...how wrong I was. My friend and I stopped by here to kill some time on the way to another event. It had been a while since I'd been shopping at West Ed, but the great thing about Simons is it has a separate entrance from the mall. You don't have to go inside West Ed, which for locals is great because we've probably been to West Ed too many times already. Inside the store, it is bright and huge. It is way bigger than I imagined. They have clothes, men's, women's, kid's, accessories, and some home decor stuff. My friend described it as like H&M, but better and I'd agree. It's way better than H&M. There's room to walk around and look at the clothes. Some of the prices were a bit above my budget ($300 for a shirt...ouch), but a lot of it was quite reasonably priced. I'd also assumed (being plus-sized) I wouldn't find any clothes that fit me, but I found several things to try on including a cute skirt for $40 to wear at an upcoming wedding. There are a great mix of casual, business, and fancy (for lack of a better word) clothes. Simons pretty much has you covered for whatever your wardrobe may need. I think the only downside to Simons is that its at West Ed and will likely be quite busy on weekends, during holidays, etc. As I said before it does have a separate entrance outside, so you don't have to wander through half of the mall to get there (unless you want to). Simons, I surrender!! I walked into your store not knowing what to expect, you certainly were hyped enough. The nearly year long, major construction of your WEM location saw the entire outside of the construction zone wrapped in a billboard, that seemed to stretched, over hundreds of feet of mall space. Not to mention the masses of billboards around the city: "Dress Code To Follow" became a daily commute mantra! I entered through the Men's section entrance, one of the three entrances including an exterior one to the parking lot. I was not blown away, but did see that this was on par with the new Bay's or Macy's. There was DC, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren ect. I then entered the Women's section, ok, there are some really cute tops, sweaters and dresses. Oh wow, brands I love and that are hard to find such as Vera Moda. Ok ok, this is looking good - great brands, with affordable prices in a well lit, airy, well conceived store. I then notice at the opposite end of the store is a very large home section; sheets, towels, small decor, perhaps I will make my way over. OH OH OH, on no, on my way across the store I am attacked, full on siege, I am instantly surrounded by my kryptonite... BLING! Whoa is me, there are sparkly, shiny, blingy, cute, fancy, funky, chic baubles all around me. I can not resist their lure. Must buy something, just one, one necklace. Oooo, maybe two, er three. Yes I will buy four necklaces and a ring. I now seek shelter in the form of very cute red head that politely smiles and rings in my spoils of war. Walking through the store I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was larger than I expected and carried more diverse items than I thought. There is a variety of brands and prices, so if you're looking for a $1000 purse or a 99 cent face cloth, you will find it here. I spent time walking through the women's clothing area and lingerie where I found a great gift. They had cute pyjamas that I have never seen elsewhere and the best part was they were on sale! After the lingerie was the housewares sections. I found great deals on house items including 99 cent place mats, oven mitts (where they sell them as a pair for $7 !), a matching apron, and cute kitchen towels. I could see myself spending more time in this area. Towards the back there's more ladies clothing and coats and I thought this area was going to be pricey but the prices were very reasonable for work clothes. Leaving the store, I browsed in the men's wear and could likely find some gifts here. The fitting rooms can be difficult to find, and they are a little small but there wasn't a line. The only thing missing is a shoe department. I also liked that there is more than one cash register in every section of the store and I wasn't left waiting more than a few minutes. After much searching at many stores, we ended up getting my fiances suit for our wedding at Simon's, and I must say that I couldn't be happier with the experience. We were looking for a three piece suit (which is almost impossible to find right now), and ended up picking out a grey two piece and getting a vest elsewhere (Express) that matched almost exactly. The service we received both times (the initial visit and the day we actually purchased the suit) were exceptional. I also love that they do in house alterations. This was SO convenient, it took less than a week to get everything done and it was very inexpensive. They also have a great selection of semi-tailored french cuff shirts for under $100. I'm very pleased with how everything has turned out. Simon's continues to be one of my favourite new stores. The range of products that they carry is varied in both variety and price-point. The store itself is always immaculate, well organized (considering how huge it is) and well staffed. I also love how every one of the change rooms (particularly in the men's area) is different. Even the architecture on the outside of the building is fantastic. When we went to pick up the newly tailored suit, we went to the customer service area on the upper level for the first time, and it was a neat office area with seating for people waiting and an interesting lighting feature going up the staircase. I've yet to be disappointed by a purchase from this store, and will continue to shop here for the foreseeable future. They made checking off one more thing on the wedding "to-do" list relatively easy and fun. read more

Simons is always one of my favourite parts about going to West Edmonton Mall. It's absolutely massive and you can spent hours in there perusing everything from clothing to shoes to bedding to home decor. It's almost overwhelming how much stuff they have. Price-wise, items range from super, cheap and affordable to "Lol, this is HOW MUCH?". You really need to dig in to find the good deals, but they are there mixed in throughout the store. As a sale hunter, it always makes me sad that they don't have a designated sale section. However, it's always ultra satisfying to hunt one down out of the sea of items. Pro-tip for my fellow shawties, they have an alterations department upstairs that can help you get your pants fitting right. There is nothing worse than buying a cute pair of pants that either drag on the floor or get Sherpa-esque rolls at the bottom.... One of my favourite sections here is the homeware section. They have loads of cute stuff for your house and almost all of it is a great price. I especially enjoy all the matching kitchen sets. Heckin' cute. Definitely stop by Simons if you are at the mall! So, I tent to park at the Simon's end of the mall and therefore walk through the store a lot. I don't purchase much, but end up lookifng around on a regular basis. They have tons of stuff at various price points (seriously, their $10 junk quality shirts and $500 dresses will be right next to each other. you have no idea if something will be cheap or expensive until you look at it closely). Anyways, I've been on the hunt for a watch FOREVER. As I was walking through Simons the other day I decided to take a look at the watch display, and I saw one I liked. I waited a few minutes to see if a sales associate would come up to me to help me, which nobody did. So I spotted a girl a few feet away putting sunglasses on a display. I walked up to her and politely asked if I could take a look at a watch. She looked at me (clearly hearing me), then literally turned around to no longer face me, and kept doing what she was doing. Did not respond at all. I know it's just one customer service experience, but it was such a monumentally bad one that it's really put a sour taste in my mouth for the store in general and I doubt I'll be shopping there. It feels like a distant memory that I remember walking down the WEM corridor to go to St. Honor's bakery to buy some delicious buns and eat them in front of the people running at the treadmill at Gold's Gym. Kidding, I ate the buns in my car. Alone. Anywho, that corridor is long gone and is taken up by Simons. What a mecca of a department store. Not to knock on the stores but you first start at the base which I would consider Forever XXI to make your way up to H&M which is slightly higher on totem pole and then you get to Simons. What's interesting about Simons is you can find a whole range of styles and accessories that will make you either smile when you see the tag or cry like me when reaching for that Kenzo sweater. Wallets, belts, hats, shoes, sweats, underwear, tuxedos, bow-ties, selfie booths, housewares, they've got it all. The amount of stuff for girls blows away what you can get guys but I think there's at least something for everyone. I tend to buy the Le31 brand shirts as they don't require a lot of tailoring if any. The fit and comfort isn't as good as say something like Club Monaco but if you're lucky you can catch them on sale days where it's much cheaper. If you can't find suits in the store, be sure to check out their online site as you can order a suit with more sizing options and have it delivered to the store so they can perform some complimentary tailoring for sleeves and hemming. Be warned though, I did order a suit for my father-in-law and for some reason, they sent a jacket size 2 sizes larger by mistake. This inconvenience is costing us time as it is taking an additional 10 days on top of the first 10 business days of delivery. I was surprised the sales rep didn't offer us to expedite the delivery time. Be sure if you shop here regularly to sign up for their rewards card. It's free and the first tier is pretty easy to get to if you buy items within the year that total $1000: the first 10 days you have membership is 2x the points. A interesting clothing outfit. The attitude from the employees is snoody. Back when I worked at a meat packing plant, I used to go there after work specifically to see there digusted glares. Outrageous prices. One week a shirt is 600$, the next its 12$ in the bargain bin. Keep an eye out for sales! Stay vigilant! Never pay retail, never surrender! Went there one time with a 'alternative' friend, (tatoos, peircings and heavy metal attire). Guess they assumed he was shop lifting based on his appearance. I died when I found out Simon's was coming to Western Canada. I'd been in Quebec many times and absolutely love the Twik brand they carry. As soon as they opened in WEM I had to take the 3.5 hour drive and go! My wallet didn't know what hit it, you could literally spend hours in there. From accessories, to clothes, to shoes, to jackets, and activewear, the store is endless. They did an amazing job coming out West, and I felt the selection was even better than some of the Simon's I'd been to in Quebec. My husbands friends also bought dress clothes there, and it was great quality and quite affordable. I hate shopping for clothes, but Simons always finds a way to draw me in. I think they have something for everyone, but for me on this most recent visit I was looking for a new shirt and tie and possibly some socks. Right next to their sock department is their comfy underwear department... I had to pick up a pair to give them a try. Buying the shirt was the most difficult task, we had a young sales guy that wasn't very good. I am a size 18 and he kept showing me shirts that don't come in that size... He even for me to try on a 17 long.... I finally found an 18 regular on my own. It was also on sale for $20, so maybe the kid was commission and avoiding it on purpose? I've enough check-ins here to compel me to write a review. Simons has become a bit of an addiction for me over the past year. This place represents a paradigm shift for the Edmonton market. There's nothing else like this in Edmonton, and I'll tell you why. VARIETY - The sheer scale of Simons' variety is staggering. Any garment or accessory type (necklace, suit, pyjamas) can be found at extremely reasonable price points all the way up to high-end designer prices points. Their house line, Le 31, offers a universe of style opportunities and I've picked up a ton of pieces from this range. In the middle sits Diesel, Acne, etc. At the high end you can shop Versace, Margiela and Dsquared. Best of all, though, is that regardless of price point, you can find interesting styles. Simons offers clothes that are truly different from what you will find everywhere else - the colours, patterns, even the textiles themselves are imbued with a sense of adventure that other Edmonton shops aren't willing to weigh down their inventory with. SALES - This place's sale prices are beyond tempting. No half-arsed discounts here. If you're patient and check in regularly, you can score some pretty decadent purchases at bargain-bin rates. ENVIRONMENT - The store itself is beautiful. It's immense and a bit overwhelming upon first visit, but once familiar, you get a sense of where certain types (and price ranges) of pieces are located. The art, fixtures, fitting rooms and actual displays themselves are all immaculate and tidy. It's a pleasure spending time in this place. SERVICE - The service here sets Simons apart. I like the small touches; for example, instead of handing your purchase across the till, associates walk out from behind the till, and present your bag. My only return was handled by a manager who didn't mind that I'd lost my receipt - it was smooth and well-handled. Ultimately, Simons is my go-to spot if I need a new outfit, or even a single piece. This is just what WEM needed a store that made it a destination again for the locals. This Simons might actually rival its mothership in Montreal. It is beautiful, bright and filled with clothing lines that no one else carries in Western Canada. In one hour, I asked four times if I needed help. When was the last time anyone at Bay did that? The price range of the clothing is good - from cheapish to higher end. This place does not compete with Holts, but it does knock everything else in town off their lazy, uninspired pedestals. If I was looking for a nice frock for a summer wedding this is where I would start. Major kudos for store design, lots of light, space to walk between racks and a good mix of hanging and flat surfaces. read more

If I need any item of clothing, I always come here first. It's a big store so get prepared to be lost. It's organized quite well with different brand/prices in certain areas. There's a misconception that Simons is expensive. Although it can be, and they do carry expensive brands...I find nice, quality sweaters for around $30. There's something for everyone here! Casual clothes, formal clothes, jackets, underwear, workout clothes, accessories, home things, shoes... you name it! They have a rewards card as well which is great. Certain times of year they send you a gift card with an amount equivalent of your current points. The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is for the service. Sometimes the check out desks/fitting room desks are unattended and you are forced to find a different one. Workers also don't seem to tend to costumers as they are shopping. read more

I will never forget my first visit to the sprawling behemoth that is Simon's. I am ashamed to admit I actually got lost and was sending texts to my friends referring to it as the "Ikea of clothing" It's been a few visits now (maps may or may not have been drawn in that time) and I feel it's now appropriate for me to write a review. I really appreciate the fact that despite this place being so large they still keep it well staffed. Everybody from the sales floor to the dressing room staff have always greeted me with a smile and been eager to help. On trips where me and my shopping companions have actually purchased and not had a line behind us the ladies have actually come from behind the till to thank us for shopping and handed us our bags. When Simon's was still in the process of putting their store together I did not really know alot about them and somebody had described it to me as a great place to get deals on brand names. I have been through their Roxy and Billabong sections and haven't noticed any big price difference from other stores but their Simon's exclusive brands are usually priced quite reasonably. If your looking for deep Winners style discounts you will not find that here but Simon's is a great place to find reasonably priced stuff that follows current fashion trends and if nothing else a super fun place to browse! read more

I was one of the people anxiously anticipating Simons' arrival and I went shortly after it opened. Falling in love was a slower burn than I anticipated: at first it seemed like an ordinary H&M or something, with racks of identical clothing where you might or might not find your size, color, etc. However, the store improves on closer inspection and deeper inside. The styles are fresh, including the affordable Montreal label "Contemporaine," and range from low-end (dresses for $40) to high-end (Chloe bags for $800). A specific example: down parkas for $140 at the front of the store, Canada Goose parkas for $700 near the back. But don't worry, not everything at the back of the store was expensive: that's where I found a sweet dress/tunic for $59. I was particularly taken with the accessories section in the middle of the store, which has colours you don't always see in tights, scarves, or hats, plus lots of European hosiery lines. The store still seems a bit unfinished, especially toward the back, so it gets four stars instead of five, but when it's done it will be most stylish throughout. I loved the fitting rooms, which are spacious, with bright green laqueur doors opening onto a generous changing area papered with rose-coloured birds: a great mix of traditional and contemporary. The boyfriend/butch waiting chairs are comfy mod couches. If you're familiar with the French department store BHV, Simons reminded me of it. I went on a Friday during the day and never had to line up for a fitting room or a cash desk. Lots of tills and all the staff were courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. read more

Found some great items at Simons at great price points. For men a lot of their items are very forward looking and unique. Fashion forward. The store is very contemporary, clean, organized, and absolutely huge ! Every till station was fully staffed. Despite it being busy there were no lines. I spent about an hour there and didn't even fully get through every section I wanted to. This seems like a store that really knows how to do retail properly, from the merchandise mix to store design, every aspect was well thought out. And how nice, the sales staff do not harass you to sign up for credit cards. Instead they just ring through the items courteously! The bay could learn a lesson from them. Something everyone should know, when ordering from Simons. I have been a customer for a few years and have been impressed and happy with the product and service to date. I had purchased some clothing, and found that it was not the right size, immediately called back and arranged an exchange. Had made sure that they would hold a pair of pants in the correct size for exchange, or would I need to hold them by payment. Was told it was covered and would be held for me. Week after return nothing to indicate what was happening, except that they were received. Had called, and was told the pant sale was being declined, cause they no longer have them. The pants that had been reserved were sold to someone that had ordered, before my pants had arrived back. So I a being told that is policy, even though I had called to arrange and confirm the pant before hand. So I am out a pair of pants, that i had ordered a month ago, with refunding waiting, and nothing to show for it. I am obviously not impressed or happy, and would recommend people think twice when ordering from Simons Or make sure the size they order it in is exactly what they need or want. Take Care read more

Simon's used to be one of my favorite place for shopping clothes but not anymore. The quality is going down and the service is poor. I tried to order online today and couldn't even get an information through the chat service. The employee started with "how can I help you?", then letting me wait 5 minutes before answering by another question, but a really stupid question. So I gave them a few more clues so they can try solve the problem but they purposely ignored me and never answered. I lost an additional 5 minutes waiting to no avail. I'm done with them. read more

What you'll find on Simons is a clothing department store for all styles and budgets. The store is laid out with each section evoked to a particular label or price range. One big bonus for Simons is the rather large men's section (compared to most department stores) with entire section devoted to trendy formal wear. This at be the only place where everything you wear on top and underneath is coordinated--and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. The change rooms were clean and each section had a unique colour or design scheme to the change rooms. Makes it feel fun, not blah. The only danger is you'll want to take home more items than you need! read more

I love Simons! I have found so many things here that nobody else in Edmonton carries. Some of it I paid full price and others I got a deal on clearance/for sale. On top of the selection and prices, the associates are helpful and professional. It's a great place to shop. Some of my favorite items: - Roxy snowboarding jacket on sale for $199.99 that went down to $99.95 that they price adjusted for me within 14 days - Pima cotton sheets from Peru (amazing quality!) marked down to $129.95 from $400!! - an Orla Kiely cushion (I have yet to find another retailer in the city that carries Orla Kiely products...no deal on this but still cheaper than ordering from the U.K. or Ireland) - Red buffalo plaid flannel duvet cover set (made in Portugal and has washed up so well...no pilling) - a Klippan lambswool blanket that is super Scandinavian (made in Latvia of all places) - a ton of tops and bottoms from Icone and Twik (their in house clothing brand) that have generally washed up well The downside to most of the things I've bought from Simons is there's no guarantee you'll ever see the same item again. A lot of their basics are regularly stocked but most of the things I buy I never see again. Worst service. Came two nights in a row suit shopping and staff flat out refused helping us. We nicely asked one to help us pick out a colour combo for the suit/tie/shirt and he flat out said no and that he has too much folding to do. At 7:30pm. Another staff member said the one that works in suits was on break. No one knew anything about sizing. I would rather pay $1000 for a nice suit to actually talk to knowledgable people in the department. Simon's is cheap but that's because they clearly can't afford good staff. read more
