I always need to stop by H&M when I'm at West Ed, even if it's just to see what new stuff they have in stock. There's always something new, and the best thing about H&M is that it's high fashion for low price. They have the latest trends for men, women, teens, and kids, and it's all affordable. And when they have a big clearance sale, it's even better! I love the women's section at the front of the store, but it doesn't suit my current lifestyle, since it's mostly trendy business attire. The shoes and jewelry section always entice me though, and there's always something there. I got a winter toque here once that I still get lots of compliments on. H&M also carries women's undergarments, so a girl can literally get her whole wardrobe from here. I like that they have a wide selection in stockings and leggings, all kinds and colours. The teens section is closer to the back of the store, and is connected to the men's section. They call it the teen section, but I just see it as the casual women's section, as long as the sizes are the same. The dressing rooms are close to the undergarments section, and while there are a lot of rooms, there's still usually a pretty long line-up. That's the only thing I don't like about H&M. I get lazy sometimes, and just give up on whatever it is I wanted to try on.

I have been very excited for the arrival of H&M ever since shopping in their stores in Europe. They offer modern and trendy looks without hurting your wallet. In fact, some of the items are very well priced compared to similar brands. The WEM location offers a large selection for women (especially), men, and even kids. As I mentioned earlier, H&M strives to bring out the latest looks from Europe. It's not unnatural to see styles that haven't caught on yet. This can be a turn off for those who prefer to play it safe and follow the current fashion trend. They have over 15 changing stalls so there is usually no waiting involved. The sales staff are friendly and will even give recommendations if you're unsure on what you're trying on. Personally I'm a bit disappointed by the slowly decreasing size of the men's section. There used to be a lot of cheap (and good quality) dress shirts and ties, however those are gone now and replaced by discount shirts. As mentioned by others, there is a new H&M in South Edmonton Common, however that location has a significantly diminished selection than compared to the one in WEM.

I quite enjoy this H & M location, especially when contrasted with South Edmonton Common.

The store makes me feel like I've walked into some wealthy lady's dressing room. Clothes everywhere. Lingerie everywhere. Decorations everywhere. Kids toys. Housewares. Every time I go in I just want to lounge on the settee and have my servants cater to my every whim. OK, back to reality. As mentioned, Anthropologie is a hodge podge (I mean that in a good way) of clothing, decor and books. The clothes can be a bit over the top but the closer you look the more likely you'll find something of interest. The cool thing is they also have kids toys and housewares. It's almost a one stop shop. Another dose of reality is their prices. They're on the high side, but like many things in life you get what you pay for. Often times you can find the decor items at a better price, but by the time you find (if you even do) you'll likely have spend that much in time and effort. If you have eclectic tastes go here and have a feast of eye candy.

It seems when you go into the store, there's always something new. On my recent visit, my husband headed straight for the records and they don't update their stock often. Most fans of records likely go to specialty stores. I like looking at the gadgets and browse the sale section. I found a few cute key covers that included cupcakes, sushi, and hamburger designs. How could you not use and love them for $2? Even if you don't buy anything, I'm sure you will find something funny or entertaining in this store. The selection of vintage shirts is varied and the cost around $30.

I love to check out this store just to see what kind of cool stuff they have and even if you aren't looking to buy anything you will enjoy yourself just browsing around. I always find something I like here and have to stop myself from buying things I don't necessarily need. The staff is cool, they leave you alone and are available if you need any help. The store is unlike any other in the mall and worth taking a look at no matter what your style is.

We took a chance on Sara's and I'm so glad we did. It was the second store we went to. We walked in on May 19th, with Grad coming up on June 7th. The saleslady acknowledged that it was a tight timeline, but wasn't worried. She explained the layout of the store and let us look around for a few minutes. She was incredibly helpful with pulling dresses and getting them done up. We found THE dress quite easily. It was only the second or third one that was tried on, but there was no interest in anything else after that. They had the correct size/colour combo in their warehouse and said it would be in in a week. So, back we went on May 24th to try on the dress again. The seamstress was standing by to make note of what we wanted done, and made a few suggestions. I was worried but she assured me that the dress would be ready by June 5th and it would be perfect. She was right. It was absolutely stunning. It fit perfect and the alterations were amazing. The dress was $525 and the alterations were $189, but hey... you only graduate once! I would definitely recommend this store to others. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Side note... on one of our visits to the store, there was a lady there trying on dresses for her wedding. She was probably in her 40s or 50s and mentioned that this was her 3rd wedding. The staff gushed over her like they would any young bride and helped her find the dress of her dreams. It was so heartwarming to watch.

Additionally staff were very helpful in ensuring good fit and picking out options.

I wasn't sure what to expect since I walked in and found most of the casual clothing styles more for someone older than I am. I went to the dresses and starting having a look. They also had a selection of long dresses and short dresses. I picked a few long dresses in purple to try on and was successful in finding one that fit and I liked the style. The change rooms are large and they have mirrors and heels available to wear to gauge how the clothes look with heels. They had a sale of no GST but the dress was a final sale. The price was reasonable for a fancy dress and I was happy they had it in my favourite colour. If the service was better, I would have given them 4 stars but the sales staff did not go out of their way to help me and it was pretty much self service to get different sizes.
