If you want a beautiful house and home, shop at Bella Casa, but it'll cost you! There's no coincidence this store is located in a plaza of other higher-end shops like Yu, Lyndale Accents, Delux Burger Bar and My Philosophy. Still, this is a beautiful shop with lovely things that please the eye. When I came into this shop they were handing out free hot cider and there was a sweet and cheese table set up at the back for visitors. Everything was 10% off for their "open house." Some of the things that jumped out at me were the dainty jewelry holder busts for $30-$40 - not bad. They looked like miniature headless mannequins dressed in vintage clothing, with hooks out the top and sides to hang your earrings and necklaces. They had gorgeous, soft throw blankets, Barefoot Venus smelly bath cubes, a luxury bedspread for $500, and a great selection of bath curtains, linens and towels. I sipped my cider, grabbed some yummy cheese and crackers and kept my wallet in my purse. This is a place for days when you feel a little richer.

Prettiest Present - Moon jewellery! Love it! You look up the moon phase on a special date and buy the jewellery to commemorate that date.

The store doesn't have an exact closing date but it won't be very long. Currently seasonal items are 60-70% off (some seriously cute Xmas décor and ornaments) and the remainder of the store is 20-30% off. They have really cute jewellery and unique items for special gifts. I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. I also like their sparkly Swarovski crystal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Some stuff here for sure can be found elsewhere or online for less but that's not the point of a boutique store. It's getting to go somewhere and browse through various collections to find the perfect gift for someone special. If you're a fan of s'well bottles, they still have a fairly good collection of unique ones and at 20% off you're paying a fair price for the designer s'wells. (Note you can get plain jane ones at Costco for $30) but the ones here are GORGEOUS and make me smile. They're collection of wrapping papers and tissues is extensive and are sure to be able to wrap your gift to fit any occasion or theme. Seriously gonna miss the Prettiest Present!

Well I just adore this store!…read more Often you walk into gift shops, and yes, everything is lovely but you just don't really see anything practical; or everything is really expensive, or really niche. But at the Prettiest Present they really have a great variety of really useful gifts! From presents for those pooch peeps, to culinary and kitchen gadgets - as well as neat necessities. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Love it!! Although, I do not remember seeing ribbon or cards, I could be wrong, or maybe that's just asking for the moon. Pro Tip: Make sure to go into the basement! Often you go into a store like this and assume that down the steps is just a small smattering of a few other things. But in this case the basement is the majority of the shop. It is at least 3x larger then the upstairs portion. Happy shopping!

From vases to scarves, jewelry to home decor, lotions to seasonal spirited items at Halloween and Christmas, crafty cards and luxe candles, Harlow has it all. The also have adorable babies and little kids gifts; things that will really stand out at a baby shower or birthday for a little one (that maybe you don't know what to buy). Everything is so rich, elegant and refined, with room for plenty of whimsy. They have original local art and limited edition giclees (high quality reproduction canvases). There was a lot that was 25 per cent off, including an amazing floor-to-ceiling framed canvas of these gorgeous abstract red poppies I would so love to hang, If I had the wall space. There's unique furniture, from upholstered chairs with Indonesian wood to impressive boudoirs, coffee tables and bureaus. There's lots of decor, from $600 original blown-glass decorative bowls and plates to silk and brocade pillows, jewelry, chandeliers, and throws. It's impossible to do this place justice in words. We walked in and the woman at the desk asked if we needed a hand, and I told her we were looking for wine glasses. I could immediately tell we would not be able to afford anything in the store, but we browsed anyways. The woman who worked here showed us around and showed us the wine glasses she had available. They were not my style (and I could not have afforded them if I wanted them) because they were very formal, and I was looking for something a little more fun. They did have a selection of wine glasses and other things for 25% off, but even with the discount, these items were not in our range. Despite the lack of money that we had available we walked slowly through this store and browsed the beautiful things. Everything was very formal and fancy. If I had enough money to splurge, I would go here and buy one of their beautiful tables. This store is dripping in glamour and it needs to be seen to believed.

They also carry a selection of furniture and had some fabric swatches so I'm pretty sure they are customizable. Can't wait to go back and add to my unusual hooks collection!

We came by when 124 St hosted their All is Bright festival to light up the street. What a street party! Many many unique decorator items, furniture, lighting, art, even some really really nice clothing at fair prices! Nicely laid out vignettes of furniture, and the staff were quite gracious and helpful considering how many people were in the store that night. Depending what you are shopping for, you will want to spend some time exploring all the corners nooks and crannies for nifty items. I was particularly fascinated by the selection of hooks and LED lighting. The challenge with this neighbourhood is the parking, it's limited, and frequently you will need to resort to paying for either a meter on the street or in the Impark lot behind MEC. The bridge construction has been difficult for businesses in the area, and now the development going up kitty-corner to Henry's PFT will add to the challenge. Leave yourself some time, make a trip out of it, stop for a bite to eat and you will have a more relaxing visit.

Their showroom is limited by their space and most of their products are done through special order by catalogue. I purchased a couch from this store last summer and am thrilled with the purchase. Jim was a really big help through the whole process. The couch took 16 weeks to arrive due to being hand made in Italy, but it was so worth it! It is a piece I will have for a lifetime. I frequently check out what is new at Dwell and also see if they happen to be selling any floor models to make room for new stock. They are also starting to carry some knock off lines which are great if you are looking for something that looks like the real thing but at a more affordable price. If you are into sleek, modern lines, fun, creative items and designer furniture and home accents then this is a great place to check out. Or, if you're like me and have no idea what you are looking at but just enjoy different and well built items you know will last a lifetime, then wander in and Jim will be more than happy to show you anything that might be of interest.
