And I suspect that that was an unusually small amount of that item to have found in the whole place! The fixtures seem a bit dated. The store does have a lot of inexpensive items which are great for when one needs party favours, stationery items and other similarly inexpensive items for decor or otherwise. I only spotted one staff member on our visit so I am not sure that it is normally busy here or not, however it wasn't lined up on our trip and we got in and out fairly quickly. Mostly I would have appreciated better store organization and slightly higher quality of some items, but given the price point of an average dollar store, this place is really quite decent... I just wish that I had been able to find more of what I was seeking on this visit in particular. I'm sure upon repeat visits I might have a different impression of the place.

Personally, I haven't tried any of the food items, so this review holds for things that are inedible (at least by adults). So yes, I remember my friend spending like 4 bucks on her entire Halloween costume last year and trust me .. it's all about execution. She did a great job! They have a wide variety of cheap stationery and, as someone who uses paper and pencil, I'd really say that it's a blessing in disguise that they make it so affordable. I can be a bit of a pen snob, in general, but when I'm just in the need of paper for rough calculations or what you will, I tend to love that there's a cheap paper + pencil option for that. Also, I should mention that they've got some small little items, here and there kinda, kitchen type, stuff. Like cute can openers, table cloths, shower curtains, soap holders and other such things that are great if you're someone who's just moved in to town and want to start off with something very basic. They also have spices etc. but given that Bulk Barn's opened across 104th street, I'd not be the one buying that kind of stuff from Dollarama. All in all, it's not the place to go for groceries and such, but it has myriad small things that make it a place to visit when you don't know what exactly you want. Wrapping paper is cheap, if you're looking to gift wrap something. The prices are so cheap that a casual browse through could lead to the purchase of unwanted things!

I love fun pictures of my baby so this attempt to bring me to the store worked. Unfortunately my baby wasn't in the happiest mood. I think he was a bit scared of the bunny. It was still a cute picture. The owner was kind to offer a retake but my husband and I decided our baby was not going to warm up to the bunny. No purchase was necessary for the Polaroid picture but food bank donations were being accepted. Outside the store there was a sign that said the "Everything you didn't know you needed" Store. I thought this sign summed up this store nicely. It's a variety discount store filled with random items. It's is a great place to find a unique gift for someone. I also thought it's great to find stocking stuffers here. They have things for babies to adults. The prices I saw ranged from $5-$75. The most expensive item being an instant Polaroid camera bundle. For adults they have household items, body care items, clothes, blankets, stationary and knickknacks. For babies and kids they had mostly toys but there were also baby blankets and teethers. I bought a couple Hydroflask stainless steel water bottles for $18 each which was less expensive than usual. Fun store!

I find that compared to certain other dollar stores, this one has actually fairly nice stuff. I bought some plastic dinosaurs there to be used as wedding decorations, and they're actually fairly realistic and stand nicely. Their craft section is a bit small (which is expected given that they're not a dedicated craft store) but they have a fair bit of stuff, and it's easily comparable to what you'd find at places like Michael's. I was impressed by that :) They also have some rather nice stationery & cards. Also, they do bulk orders as well, which is pretty cool (I didn't end up needing to do this cos it turns out they actually had 20+ bags of craft moss on hand, but I did call to ask in advance & they do it for people). So yep, Dollar Tree is definitely my favourite dollar store :)

This Dollar Tree has saved our bacon countless times. Seriously, I can't count the number of times that we've needed something for a project or a party and been able to stock up here. From inexpensive pop to arts and crafts supplies, from kitchen things to birthday cards, it's all good. Satisfying, with a huge parking lot out front, near to Whyte Avenue. What's not to love?

It isn't the biggest dollar store I have been to but they have a great selection of almost everything you would expect from these types of stores. The store is usually very clean and organized. The staff have always been friendly. There is a ton of parking because it is located in a big strip mall area. Lots of other shopping and food that you can do while you are here too.

A lot of their items look more appealing and the nicer things with better quality or a well known brand are definitely over a dollar. What I liked is that the staff were easy to identify & willing/knowledgeable to help when approached... I was looking for tablecloth weights and was pointed in the right direction. This location has a security guard, but they aren't hovering around either which is nice. The lineups are now better managed by corralling the customers along a grey walled lineup, but they even display candies & chocolate at less than a buck to add to the checkout temptations. Best part is that now they accept credit card and Apple Pay in addition to their usual cash or debit!

It's also a great place for spices and tea. If you need last minute cooking supplies, this is a great place too. On Thanksgiving day, I realized I didn't have a turkey baster. Dollarama saved the day! I also buy scrapbooking stuff here because it can be really expensive elsewhere. If you need craft supplies, check out Dollarama because it will save you a lot of money. I also came here to fill up a shoebox for Operation Shoebox this Christmas. We spent $10 and filled our box to the brim with school supplies, toys, candy, and toiletries for a child in need. It's the best place to go to do this. And if you haven't filled a shoebox yet, I really encourage you to do so. No child should be without a present to open on Christmas morning. Especially when that child doesn't even have a toothbrush or a crayon to his or her name.

You can find anything at the dollar store !! I love this store because I can find things that cost a few bucks less than at other stores and works just as well. Do not expect much customer service there, they stock the shelves so much that basically if you dont see it, they dont have it . Here is where the deals are : Gravy mixes ( 2 packs for $1.25 ) Aluminum foils and containers Dish soaps storage containers picture frames . The one thing you really have to stay away from is batteries ( useless ) , headphones ( unless you really like tinny sounding tones , hdmi cables, tools, USB cables. But other than that the quality of most of their products are money saving . There is a cashier there, an older lady, who seems to be always there and she is just a great lady to talk to for a few seconds. There are lineups but they can process you quickly enough. Now I wrote in the beginning of this review about cheap sunglasses.. is that song in your head now?
