Now you can find a Dollar store in most malls or by the big box stores. I was in Westmount and decided to check out their birthday decoration selection. Although they did have some decorations, they didn't have anything specific for milestone birthdays. It was more of the generic standard streamers or birthday banner, candles, and napkins and plates. I browsed the other aisles and they do have a large selection of items for the home, holidays, and just about anything else you want to spend a dollar or two on. Seems pretty busy too but I didn't find anything I wanted for a dollar.

They were really busy (the saleslady claimed they weren't but there were about 12 people in line). It took awhile for them to get someone else up at the till to help with the huge line up and when someone id come to help, they didn't make a great transition. Instead of telling the next person in line to go over to the new till, they let it be a free-for-all so everyone rushed over to the newly opened till. It was really disorganized. This Dollarama has a good selection though. It's pretty big and they have a lot of good stuff. The staff brings their rating down significantly though.

Great for fans of Disney, Scooby Doo, and super heroes! You can also get a foil balloon with helium for $1.25! Wow, that sounds like a great deal to me and you can call to order in advance. The selection is primarily for kids, and unfortunately no Dora but Minnie would do. The items I got were $1.25 and a chocolate bar for 79 cents. There was no line up and the cashier was friendly! Also, it was clean and pretty organized. Definitely a dollar store to shop at again!

I find that compared to certain other dollar stores, this one has actually fairly nice stuff. I bought some plastic dinosaurs there to be used as wedding decorations, and they're actually fairly realistic and stand nicely. Their craft section is a bit small (which is expected given that they're not a dedicated craft store) but they have a fair bit of stuff, and it's easily comparable to what you'd find at places like Michael's. I was impressed by that :) They also have some rather nice stationery & cards. Also, they do bulk orders as well, which is pretty cool (I didn't end up needing to do this cos it turns out they actually had 20+ bags of craft moss on hand, but I did call to ask in advance & they do it for people). So yep, Dollar Tree is definitely my favourite dollar store :)

Hours here and on their website are incorrect…read more I checked the Dollarama website for their hours. It says they are open until 9pm on Wednesdays. I arrived at Dollarama in Bonnie Doon to find that they are closed. I phoned to leave a message at the store to politely let them know their hours on their website are not correct. Someone answered the store and was fairly defensive/rude about the hours not being correct because of COVID. I get the initial challenge with the changes, but we are 6-months into COVID now. And it wastes people's time to come all the way down to the store based on information they advertise, only to find it closed. Time to do your job and consider the needs of your customers, Bonnie Doon Dollarama!

It actually reminds me of being at a Daiso shop in Tokyo which a lot of similar shops here don't really come close to. There's everything from false lashes/ beauty items, stationery, snacks, party supplies, household items, decor, the list goes on and on. Quality is mixed on some items but with most items starting at $3, I feel quality matches pricing if not better on SOME goods that are sold in your average dollar store (nail decals and paper stationery here are well made FYI). Also, I'd watch how much you add to your cart because cost can add up quickly. Staff are even on par with their Japanese store greeting when you enter & exit, plus there are staff also around inside who are available to help which I appreciate too.

I'm not sure if food items will be sold here in the future but I didn't see any on this particular visit. However, this store is located close to a grocery store, convenience store and a few fast food restaurants, so there are other nearby places to buy food items. This Dollar Tree has saved our bacon countless times. Seriously, I can't count the number of times that we've needed something for a project or a party and been able to stock up here. From inexpensive pop to arts and crafts supplies, from kitchen things to birthday cards, it's all good. Satisfying, with a huge parking lot out front, near to Whyte Avenue. What's not to love?

I was surprised that they've expanded to Canada so I had to pay it a visit. The store itself is small, but there is just enough room to manoeuvre a regular stroller but the aisles are tight & not in straight rows like most dollar stores. Pricing is not cheap like a dollar store, but affordable for what they offer. I would say item quality is superior than dollar store for many things. Items are also packaged very nicely & uniformly, look stylish/trendy/classy, some are also unique, and kid friendly, so it seems like your getting a good deal. I've never really had complaints about the stuff I've received from there or from what I bought. The staff are pretty friendly too & although there is very limited parking in the front, there's also parking stalls available at the back of the building too. I'd definitely come back to find some new things that 'I didn't know I needed in my life until I got there' type stuff.

I didn't check the prices on the electronics but most prices were reasonable. The store is brightly lit and well organized. It's fun to check out the different items. I bought my boyfriend a red bow tie when I came here. This is a great place to find some inexpensive gifts!
