I am not a fan of Walmart in general. I really dislike being treated like a criminal in a store I am shopping at. Being locked out of merchandise shelves and videotaped as I shop is not a good feeling. However, what really is irritating is when I am shortly after they open and still cannot get anyone to open a locked cabinet in cosmetics even after hitting the darn button multiple times, with at least half a dozen store employees in that area. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of employees. Unfortunately they are talking about their lives instead of helping customers. I get it. California has made this state a shoplifter's paradise. So threaten to leave the state. Maybe that will change the laws and stop punishing people who pay for their items. Until then, I will go to Target for my cosmetics and many other supplies, since I'm there. They trust their customers. read more

You know over the years I feel like this Walmart has gotten better about how they stock their isles and also their upkeep. Most of the time I do find what I am looking for, it's not messy, like the clothes aren't thrashed, the isles are pretty organized and stocked. Sometimes they don't have my coffee, but I mean it happens. Also with the new check out system, that makes it pretty easy to get in and get out and I do feel like their clothes have stepped up their game! I hadn't looked in their clothes sections in a while, usually I come for their veggies and fruits, which are almost always pretty fresh and good, but before a trip I took I ventured in the clothing sections and found some stuff for my little and me, who knew! Makes me want to venture there again soon LOL. Good way to keep up with competition, their quality has gone up for sure. read more

Chose to drive to this Clovis location as I thought they might have a bigger and better garden center than other locations. Wow, did they! There was an entire wall with thriving vegetable plants for anyone wanting to start a garden for summer bounty. All kinds of veggies and herbs. Nice flowers and landscaping plants, too. Different types of garden planting soil for whatever your needs are. One cashier in the garden center but there wasn't much of a wait and the cashier working was both quick and friendly. read more

I used to be an enthusiastic shopper at this location. That has changed since they eliminated nearly every checker in favor of self- check. This would not be an issue except they have a woman that insists on looking in checked bags and item by item verifying the receipt. This level of scrutiny is not acceptable and I refuse to return to this location. read more

This Walmart sucks I waited almost 10 minutes for someone to open the fitting room for me for someone to tell me they don't open until 9am. Like WTF really have a Sign up or something saying what time you're open. Then they told me you can walk around for half hour until we open the fitting room for you because we can't open it early right now. read more

Absolutely the worst service around!!! In the cosmetic, lotions, creams there were probably at least 8-10 of us looking for help with questions & get items that were locked up. My friend & I were there at least 10 minutes waiting until my friend went up front to get help. She saw 3 women employees standing chatting & asked for help. They basically ignored my friend. After a few more minutes the waiting customers started dwindling away. We saw a few more employees walk by, "can't help you don't have a key". It was a good 20-25 minutes when the lady arrived to help us, oh wait she didn't bring the key with her. She had taken her break & there wasn't anyone to back her up. Oh yeah about the group of us waiting, my friend & I were the only ones who stayed around, they lost 8 customers. The agony doesn't end. Went to the produce area & asked one of the Walmart shopper employees where an item was, he had no idea, seriously he's in there shopping for hours. Guess what asked another one of the Wally shopper guys about another item - you guessed it " no idea". Wally World caters way too much on customers who don't go into the store & shop face to face. Debbie (#6) checked me. she was very polite, she was very sincere and she was very professional. she stood out as a professional and a good person. I drove the 40 miles it takes to get my pick up order.. I was not early..I came just after the time. I called in and was told they would be right out with my order....I watched car after car come in, call, get their orders and leave... I finally asked a worker by the name or Eric ..and he was kind and considerate..he cared ( Walmart should reward employees like him) he looked it up and said they never put in that I was there..WOW! An hour later I finally got my order..much of what wasn't there or substituted with things I don't need..and a at least one item torn open with the food inside spilling all over the place... As of March 7, 2021 I will seeking legal counsel as I am a local Firefighter and a 911 Dispatcher for Law and Fire Departments in the Fresno/Clovis California area. I was in this Walmart twice in the last six months and both times i have been racial profiled, disrespected, talked down to, treated as criminal and publicly embarrassed by these in employee's Joseph customer service manager, Zack assistant manager and Store Manager Emilio Baca and when reported to Wal-Mart Global Ethics Department to receive responses back from ethics who are Blake Walmart Global Ethics (Ref:MSG312143754) and Gladys Walmart Global Ethic (Ref:MSG377874387) To tell me that its ok the store manager will handle it at their level when I am trying to tell you that the store manager didn't handle the first racist and negative behavior with two of their top leadership managers at the Walmart Supercenter Store # 5337 on 1185 Herndon Ave in Clovis California 93612 incident and tried to sweep it under the rug and continued to allow this behavior which is unexcitable. When I went back to talked with Mr. Baca he was rude and unprofessional and had a negative attitude as well. Then I started to talk to employees which all gave me statements of the negative behavior show and displayed from all three of these individuals. I have tried to be reasonable and allow Walmart's ethics dept. to fix these issues and I even tried talking to Emilio Baca (store manager) as a concerned community member and a longtime local customer which gave a poor response and lack of interest. So at that time I took it into my own hands to talked to some of the employees at this Wal-Mart to come to find out they were unhappy of the behavior's shown and expressed by these three individual's towards the public/customers and employee's so I asked for statements so now I have names of employee's and titles. These employee's told me and expressed their feelings/concerns of the behaviors of Joseph Customer Service Manager, Zack Assistant Manager and Store Manager Emilio Baca and how unprofessional acts shown by these three leaders at this store are, behaviors and actions towards employees and customers, customer service, negative peer to peer behavior, and some of the employee's I talked to were scared to talk to me due to the fact of retaliation or back lash they would get if exposed by these three men. When the first incident happened back in October of 2020 where I was racially profiled mistreated, accused of trespassing and threaten by Zack (assistant Manager) and Joseph (Customer Service Manager) over a $19.99 onn surge protector price match to their own website which ended up in Clovis Police Department surrounding me as soon as I walked out of the Walmart door's when I had paid for everything in my cart and was in the store an hour before closing to be told by police that I did not commit a crime and told Walmart was in the wrong but the embarrassment I had to go through in front of my kids and family and public knowing I was a positive role model in my community as a Firemen/dispatcher for the last 14 years and having to explain to my 7 year old daughter that I was not a criminal nor a bad person was hard all Because of the poor training WalMart has Failed to Provide. read more

This is the best Walmart in the Fresno and Clovis area that really lives up to its Super-centre name in the view of the fact that it carries almost everything but also its super giant big store size with its HUGEEEEeee building that feels like an arena. You name it they got it (minus vision centre maybe): - Complete groceries (just like at any of their neighborhood stores) - Hardware (paint,screws,tools,bulbs, wire, fans and etc) - Aquarium that sells fish - yes they do sell live fishes here and aquarium goods (not had the experience with their fishes but their aquarium supplies are solid and cheap) - Garden good and plants (flowers, trees, seed, succulents and etc) - Children and Infants clothing and essentials - Packaging and moving boxes and material - Crafts and arts - Home decoration - Furniture - Electronics - Photo centre - Pet supplies - Dvd's, Games and more - Pharmacy - Women and Men's clothing - Kitchen good and appliances - Car fixing tools, tires and etc - Gym stuff like weights, weight benches, dumbell - Bicycles and everything you need - Seasonal decorations and party items (cards, gift wrappers and etc) - and maybe more stuff that I can't think about. But be realistic, this is Walmart after all not the ritz carlton, so don't expect like above and beyond service, be independent and find things yourself. Walmart is known for selling things that are cheaper than its competition, not flamboyant customer service, you want that go to Target 2 miles west. Its pleasant and good enough service at this Walmart and I haven't had an issue. Customer service counter here is decent and most of their staff are friendly, returns are done without any problem as long as you have your receipt. Checkout is mostly a breeze, and this is good compared to other walmarts, checkout time is about 5-15 minutes, and they also have self checkout which makes things faster if your in a rush. The hours aren't 24 hours,but they open real early and close late. This store is big, so do plan to walk a lot and wear comfortable clothing when shopping. People who shop here aren't the classiest people, nevertheless I have always felt safe here and there has never been a safety issue. Parking is plenty, its like football field of parking. Also I try to avoid weekends because it gets really busy. This Walmart also has cool vending machine like a key maker that charge $3-$5 to make an instant key in like minutes and also a phone recycler. They also have redbox for DVD rentals here. read more

During the pandemic we are using more delivery services to minimize the possible contact with the Covid virus. Right now in the Central Valley the surge in the number of positive cases has grown exponentially. (Make sure you wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands.). The Walmart Supercenter in Clovis is a great alternative to risking exposure to the virus. They have an app that allows you to shop from the safety of your home! The way it works is you provide a credit card. You create a list of groceries you need and send your list. You receive a confirmation and a time for pickup. Next, you drive to the store, park in a specially marked parking space. You have to call a number on your parking stall sign. A Walmart Associate answers, asks you for the stall number you are parked in and your name. They bring out your grocery items and load them in your car. Voila! You have shopped for groceries. It's really great! They have high risk category for seniors and other shoppers. You can pick up your groceries between 7 and 8 am in the morning. It is very well organized and fast. The staff is excellent, helpful and efficient. It's a great service. Try it! read more

So sad with my shopping experience today. Needed supplies for my fish tank and looked at the tanks while walking towards supplies, there were dead fish in every tank! They were also moldy. Maybe it shouldn't carry live fish if you can't assign someone to maintain the tanks properly. Who knows what the health conditions of the other fish who are swimming amongst all of the other dead fish. Maybe the employee that was standing next to the cashier chatting away could spend 2 minutes scooping the dead fish out of the tanks. When we walked over to the chatty employees wondering if the register was opened, we dared to interrupt their conversation to ask if the register was open, the cashier bryanna rudely stated yeah (like-duh!) And then proceeded to ring items up without saying the standard how are you guys doing, or did you find everything okay. I asked if the register was open because some stores close the back end earlier and they were standing around doing nothing. She was RUDE, rude, rude. Needs to be trained. Needs to be nice. I have always come to this Walmart for a while and now that I have a baby, I've come into realization on how many times I've seen a male worker go into the family bathroom. I understand that people like to do their business in privacy but when you see someone heading towards it, with a damn stroller. You should stop and let them go! I have tried to reach the manager twice he refuses to call me back. the asst gave me a song and dance how someone would call me and resolve this. I have never heard a woud. This review is mainly for the grocery pick up service. I ordered my groceries and my pick up time was from 7am-8am. I got to Walmart at 8:05 am and waited 1hr 15 mins for my groceries. And I saw people getting their groceries way before I did. I thought maybe my check in didn't go through, but it went through on the app. Then I called the store thinking maybe my order accidentally got missed, so I called the number on the sign where it says "haven't checked in? Call: 559-593-0121 and it just kept ringing and ringing, then straight to voicemail. Then I asked one of the workers and they said that I didn't check in, but on my app it clearly shows I checked in and I showed them. She said in her system it didn't show me checked in. Yeah, but I tried calling the number too and told her that no one even answered that phone. What if I was a senior citizen who had their daughter order the groceries and send me to pick up. I would have called the number to check in, but there is no one answering...then what?!? Additionally, I noticed the other customers on my side were also waiting long...maybe the system was not responding to their check in as well? Walmart has to do a hell of a lot better and get a system like Target going. Never had issues with Target and will likely be using their drive up service from now on. read more

This used to be my favorite store. It's still the cleanest one but NOTHING is ever stocked. You check online, it'll say the item is in stock. Once you get there, the item isn't there. If you have a worker check on their scanner, they'll tell you "it's been out of stock for weeks already". Sometimes when you look for an item on the app, it'll say out of stock but i'm literally standing in front of the item and theres like 5 there on the shelf lol. Best to go to Ingram where everything is always stocked and more! read more

However you cannot beat their prices for things like oh... 99 cent pregnancy tests (yes behind a locked glass door at that) and five dollar cat litter box trays that I used for my pet rabbit... and cheap litter scoopers. The shopping experience went ok for a wal mart until I got to the exit. There was an older couple with a basket full of items that walked right past whom I thought was the greeter. As I walk through, carrying a bicycle in one hand and pushing my shopping cart in the other he walks out and asks me for my receipt. I immediately ask why he isn't checking everyone. Before he could answer my question, one of his co workers jumps out from behind him puffs his chest out and says.... because it's our store policy. So I guess it's their store policy to profile people and suggestively check reciepts. As frustrating as this was, I fished the receipt put of my picket and handed it to him. He didn't even look at it and then handed it back to me. I'm a Costco member and let me tell you the difference, EVERYONE gets checked when you leave. And they actually check for accuracy. When I got home I noticed that an item I paid for was missing. Just a bad experience all around. read more

Had a bad experience here in the past. I went to grab a quick beverage with a friend 10 minutes before this Walmart was closing but one of the employees working out front turned us away and told us that they were closing down for the night. Customer service at this store sucks. I called at 11:50 to check on item availability & was placed on hold for 15 minutes. When I called from my cell phone to complain about being on hold for so long all I received were excuses. I was told she does not stand around all day, she has other customers to assist & she does not always help people right away. I explained 15 minutes is ample time to answer my question. She would not give me her name & put me on hold again. I called back a 3rd time to receive the same treatment. I've been to many a seedy Walmart traveling the country, this is not one of them. This is a very nice store but is has to be one of the most poorly ran Walmart's on the Planet. I have lived in Clovis for three years and have gone to that store many times. Without exaggerating, I have literally found them out of stock on so many things, dog treats, coffee creamer 90% of the time. Today, no different, no dog treats, no creamer, and no car phone charger. This is the worst Walmart to do grocery pick up at. This is the third time that we've attempted to get groceries and every time there's an issue. First time they did not have half the stuff we ordered which was possibly understandable. Second time they ran out of bags they didn't tell me so when I opened the trunk my $200 worth of groceries was all over my truck. This time I checked in at 6:05 for my 6 to 7 appointment waited till 710 with one person coming out and I never got my stuff. I waited over an hour with no luck. Tried to call the customer service line and it literally rang for over 20 minutes with no answer. Tried to call the pick up line and that ring for 15 minutes with no answer. I saw several other people leave before me without their groceries also. I don't think it's worth saving a few dollars to go through all of this with Walmart. My mom and I had Savannah as a cashier. We had a horrible experience because she charged us SIX times for ONE dartboard. We were charged an extra $267!!!! How could she not have noticed that she scanned it six times?! My mom had to go back and talk to her about it, and she looked bored and as if she couldn't care less. We then had to wait in the customer service line, but the lady at customer service said the cashier should have brought us straight up instead of waiting in the line.
