It's a fast food chain from China so the seasoning are different. I usually get the spicy chicken burger combo with fries and a drink. The breading is thin and the dark meat is juicy, it does look pink but it's cooked enough. The fries are good. The spiciness has a good heat to it. 1 Star -- First time trying this place, and definitely the last. First time trying this fast-food restaurant and, unfortunately, I now know exactly why I won't be coming back. I ordered through the drive-thru and waited about 5-7 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad. I figured, "Great, at least the food should be fresh and hot." Apparently not. The food was COLD. The fries were cold, soggy, and completely lifeless. The chicken sandwich was cold, Undercooked and soggy, and it had so much mayonnaise on it that the chicken was practically an afterthought. The chicken itself was so tough and rubbery that biting into it felt like chewing on a rubber band. Definitely not what I expect when I order chicken wings. I personally prefer my wings featherless, and I'm also not a fan of the dry rub they use, so there really wasn't much to enjoy there. At this point, I'm honestly wondering what happened in the kitchen. How do you manage to serve cold fries, a cold soggy sandwich, and rubber-band chicken after a 5-7 minute wait? WOW. Got recommended this place by multiple friends and I have finally stopped by and even went back a second time with my partner for him to try! Food: AMAZING! Pickles are super thick cut, a little bit of sweetness, not briney. Potato bun sticks to your mouth a bit. Got a side of 2 spicy wings. Much juicier, natural tasting, they added cayenne pepper for the spice. I'd say Popeyes has far superior fast food chicken sandwich but theirs is more expensive. $14.26 for 2 people isn't bad in this economy. I think I'll come back to try it again. There is plenty of parking at this location. The hours are also great. Mon-thur they close at 10 and on the weekends they close at midnight. My family and I went to the Walnut location before and now it has opened a new location in West Covina. This one is bigger and has a drive thru. Glad to be able to go to the soft opening! For the soft opening day, you have a choice from Meal 1 to Meal 5. We ordered #5 which was the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich that included a fountain drink and French Fries. The sandwich was very savory and juicy. We had the non-spicy version. It had everything in it - pickles, tomato, lettuce, cheese, and wa sauce. Delicious and filling! The fries were also yummy and had some seasoning in it. I like it that the food is not too salty. :) The ambiance / atmosphere is very warm and welcoming! Let's start by saying the staff was super friendly and took our order pretty quickly. My fiancée wanted to try their spicy grilled chicken wrap and I wanted to try the 3 fried chicken sandwiches for $10 deal. We also got two cups from the cashier to get water from the machine. The water had an odd taste and the ice was nonexistent. They also had yellow peppers and a ketchup dispensing pump next to the soda machine. A big plus in my book. After about 5-10 minutes our order was called and we took a booth in the corner of the dining room. The dining room was mostly clean with a couple of tables still not wiped up yet. We tried one of the chicken sandwiches first, and found it pretty good. It's made with dark meat chicken thighs and had a nice crispy batter. It was served on a toasted bun with mayo and a pickle slice. Nothing too fancy but found it delectable. My fiancée actually enjoyed the spicy grilled chicken wrap, but I wasn't a fan. The wrap was overall bland with a kick of spice... but to be fair, most wraps are bland. On a side note, most spicy options cost a dollar more than their non spicy counter parts. Overall, the experience was ok. Service was friendly, the fried chicken sandwiches were excellent for what they are... you can't complain about the $10 for 3 sandwich deal. This place just opened up here in Covina. Their full menu is now available and includes dishes with white rice , You are greeted with the friendliest of staff. Some are still learning, so be patient. There was no coleslaw tonight and the ice machine was also empty. The store just opened yesterday, so it might take some time before things run smoothly. Fed a family of six for under $30, and honestly, you cannot find that kind of value anywhere anymore. Everyone got full, the portions were generous, and the food actually tasted fresh and made to order. The dark meat chicken sandwiches are the real standout. Dark meat has more flavor, stays juicier, and does not dry out like a lot of chicken breast sandwiches do. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the sandwich had that rich, flavorful bite that makes you want another one. I've been going to the Walnut location since they opened but I had to visit the newest one. So excited that they have a drive thru now!! The spicy chicken sandwich is my go to and it was as good as always. Their food is always fresh and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly, they even greeted us as we walked in and when we left. Wallace is my fav spot for a quality chicken sandwich and I will definitely be back! read more
