Good bbq place! The beef ribs are good. I thought pork ribs were okay. Pricing is pretty good and can feed two people! My wife liked their fries and I love the mashed potatoes! Food comes out quick and there's an area to sit and eat as well.
I have been wanting to try this spot for a while. I am so glad we finally got to come here. The cashiers were so patient with us while we made up our minds on 1 what to order and 2 which sides to have with them. We also placed an order to go for my brother. We sat to eat here since it was our first time. It was such a nice cozy spot. There is plenty of seating as well as parking. The wait also was not too long considering it was freshly cooked. The food and meats were moist and delicious. My mom and I could have shared an order but now we know for next time. The meats had a nice char from the grill which only added to their flavor. The sides were delicious. The mashed potatoes were smooth and the gravy was spectacular. The rice had the same gravy on top too. I definitely want to come back here and maybe try the corn.
We stopped by while in the area. Saw the highly rated Yelp reviews;therefore, we gave Love Chicken And Ribs a try. Lunch specials are a good value and are available ALL Day. The staff are nice. The BBQ? Not for me or the family. Completely bland, bitter tasting and no smoky elements to the meats. Worst BBQ I ever have tried. How can they improve? Start with seasoning the meat! Again, taste is subjective. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean the next person won't. I wish this establishment the best of luck.
It's Thursday night, the BBQ cravings hit hard...like "drop everything and follow the smoky scent like a cartoon character" hard. We ended up at Love Chicken & Ribs, aka Rib Heaven w Reasonable Prices!! We ordered the #4 Beef Rib Meal, which comes w four glorious, meaty ribs, coleslaw, fries, and a side of "omg why didn't we come here sooner?" We also ordered a side of Elote corn, bc what's a BBQ dinner without a smoky cob slathered in creamy cheese, chili, and a sprinkle of "I have no regrets"? It was basically a flavor grenade.!! Now these ribs? Tender!! Meaty!! Juicy!!! Like, if a cow trained for years just to become the pinnacle of BBQ excellence, this would be its final form. The fries were fresh outta the fryer..... hot, crispy, and clearly not the sad soggy kind that make you question life. Best part? This whole feast fed me and my two kids for $35 total. That's not a meal, that's a steal disguised as a dinner!! I checked the receipt twice like I was on an episode of BBQ Mythbusters. Staff? So nice I wanted to invite them to my next cookout!! Excellent hospitality, thank you very much!! I'd fight a bear for these ribs. But thankfully, I won't have to, bc I'll just keep coming back whenever I'm in the area.
Honestly, I really really wanted to like this place. It's cute and family own. But the food was not that great and not worth the cost imo. We ordered the beef rib plate and chicken plate. The beef ribs is suppose to be 4 ribs, but the quantity is realistically like 2 ribs (like 4 rib bones but no meat on 2 of them). IMO for $32 I was bummed with the quantity. I liked the ribs, but I feel like it shouldn't be marketed as 4 ribs if the meat quantity is realistically 2. The chicken was really tender but really really dry. If you want to support local business, then come here. But I don't think this is the best representation for what American bbq is.
Love Chicken and Ribs has a unique, tangy sauce that brings their Chicken and Beef Ribs to life! Their rice and gravy has an irresistible, soul food flavor so good that I order double servings of it! Check out my video for a glimpse. This location doesn't have a big sign, so you could drive by and never have known that there is a restaurant. There is a huge, clean dining area with plenty of seating for big parties, small groups, and stools for individual diners. The staff is always welcoming, delivers the food to your table, and anticipates your needs with napkins at the table, extra sauce in a bottle, and silverware. You can try to eat everything with a fork and knife to stay mess free... and the beef is so tender the meat falls off the bone. However, you really are bound to get a drop of sauce on your shirt or jeans, and definitely on your face if you just dig in. Oh and make sure you roll up your sleeves!! If you have plans after .... BRING FLOSS!! I absolutely love this spot, and will be back soon!
Literally the BEST ribs I have ever had. And I'm not even a ribs person!!!! I love their beef ribs. They have an all day deal where you can get chicken and ribs for about $25 with two sides and a roll. Great customer service, plenty of seating, plenty of parking. The sauce on the chicken and ribs is so delicious, I've never had any sauce as good. Coleslaw is so good. Fries are done well. Highly recommend.
First time trying Love Chicken and Ribs, and I'm impressed. Now I don't have to drive far for really good BBQ. I got the beef ribs combo, and the meat literally fell right off the bone--so tender. The flavor was on point too. Some BBQ spots go way too salty, but this was perfectly balanced. The rice and gravy were a great pairing--the savory gravy really enhanced the meat. Coleslaw was just okay, but everything else made up for it. Art, the owner, was really courteous. He brought our food. And the inside was spacious. Lots of 4-person tables, some group tables, and bar stools. There's a charming old Hollywood Frankenstein statue. And there's even a keyboard that Km wondering what that is for. Definitely coming back for the food. But also to learn what the keyboard is for.
My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday for the very first time. The food quality was absolutely amazing. The beef and pork ribs were delicious and the chicken meat just fell off the bone. The sauce was done just right and the food was cooked at the right temperatures at top. The service awesome and Art was very nice to us. The decor at the restaurant was pretty cool too.
New favorite bbq spot! The bbq is not only delicious, but also offers great pricing. A lot of bbq spots are over charging, but they have a great lunch deal that has 2 sides, 1/4 chicken, 4 pork ribs for $21. Amazing! They included alllll utensils, extra bbq sauce and ketchup without even having to ask. Cant wait to go back
I was in the area nearby and saw that this place was in my bookmarks. They have a good parking lot size and the seating area is a good, roomy size. Menu was simple, just bbq chicken, beef ribs, and pork ribs. No brisket or meat by the pound from what I remember. I got the 2 beef ribs and chicken ($19.99) with sides of coleslaw and mashed potatoes and gravy. The wait time was not long since I was the only customer there for a while. The ribs were tender and the chicken was moist and sauce was not too thick or sweet. The meat had a nice smoky flavor and the portions were a good size. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy was not too salty or watery. The coleslaw was plain and not too heavy on the mayo. The staff is nice and the place is clean. Closed mon/tues.
Great tasting smoked ribs and chicken. The service was quick. The place is excellent for family gatherings or date night. Not only is the place clean but also spacious. I would go back here.
The pork ribs are the best here. They fall right off the bone and are so tender. Their barbecue sauce is house-made and is the best of both worlds with being savory and sweet. They have great combos for the cheap price. I love the gravy and rice that it comes with. You really can't beat what you get here, a good deal and yummy hearty barbecue! Service is friendly and their new location on Irwindale provides an accessible small parking lot.

Love is in the name! This place is in a business type place. So hidden, but I found this place through Yelp. I drive for work now and always trying to find something new. I ordered the all day special for $23.99. Includes 1 chicken leg quarter, choice of 2 beef ribs or 4 pork ribs with choice of 2 sides and a roll. I chose the beef ribs! Not many restaurants have beef ribs on weekdays. These ribs were not dinosaur bones, but did the trick. I can get pork ribs anywhere, but to get beef ribs any day of the week? My kind of place! Meats were delicious and tender and covered with BBQ sauce. BBQ sauce was tangy and they have squeeze bottles of it to have at your table. Loved the mash potatoes and rice. read more

Trying to find the best BBQ in the SGV is probably a futile and foolish pursuit. But what the hell. Anyway, this mom-and-pop spot was like a quick 15 minutes from home base in the City of Industry. Drove into a small strip mall and walked into this super clean, neat, and newish eatery. But there were just two people inside; not a good sign for a Sunday afternoon. It started to fill a little bit later though. So they sell chicken and pork/beef ribs, and a few sides. Nothing else. Just FYI should you come here looking for some smoked sausages or burnt duck ends; it's not here. Ordered the following: - Lunch special - 7/10: came with 4 pork ribs, 1/4 chicken, and 2 sides. For the sides, I got the coleslaw and rice with gravy. Coleslaw was a bit boring, but I really liked the rice with gravy. Very hearty. I was also impressed by the fall-off-the-bone, tenderness of the two meat selections. As for the taste, though, just too mild for me and was severely missing a bit of the smoke I was hoping for in a proper BBQ. Also, their BBQ sauce was pretty mid and had zero heat. Just a syrupy liquid that didn't do much for the meal. Still, it's a fulfulling lunch for one at a decent price point. I'd come back if I was driving through and happened to be nearby. read more
Former local Azusa hole in the wall and happy they found such a great big modern location. Part of their allure was their really great prices. Sometimes you want really good bbq for lunch or quick snack but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. In those situations, Love fit that bill perfectly. Prices are still more than fair, especially their lunch special and food is still good, but have to admit there is better bbq out there. Service was quick and attentive given there was only one person working up front. Will definitely be back as it's still close enough for that quick lunch or snack. read more

Southern Bbq isn't one of my top favorites, just the meat itself. For me, is either " wow this is great bbq " or something like I had better. For this restaurant, I was hoping for the " wow " but, is more like I had better. First, this restaurant is in a place more suited for warehouse business than a restaurant, second weird thing is that when I walk in, I didn't smell any meat being charred like grilled meat, it didn't smell like anything, when I looked into the kitchen, there was a cook just standing in front of the grill but it looked like the grill was off, there wasn't anything on it. Usually if you walk into a bbq place, you always smell something burning but not here. Anyway, I ordered 3 orders of the all day lunch specials, the beef ribs and bbq chicken with fries and rice and gravy. The price went up $3, is now $23.99. It took almost 20 minutes and the cashier lady was really nice. It was dead when I walked in, I was the only second customer there. I asked the cashier lady that I thought it would be busy since is Father's Day, she said the crowd just left. All of them at once ? Hahaha, is hard to believe. The beef ribs looked good but it doesn't really have any flavor to it, is smothered in bbq sauce and it falls of the bone easily, really tender. The chicken thigh/leg was like boiled meat with the sauce covering it. What I mean is, the chicken seems like it was boiled first then they grilled it with the bbq sauce. Is not smoked, it was too soft. The fries was not freshly made, is from one of those bags that you get at Costco. Is like those fries that you get at the hamburger place. By the time I got home 15 minutes away, it was already hard and stale. The rice was too salty, I don't think is the gravy that made the rice salty. I drove over 5 miles to get it and it was kinda disappointing, I could of just went to the ones by my house. Because the rating was so high for this place, I thought it was worth the drive. Delicious pork ribs that fall off the bone. They are moist, succulent and covered in a slightly sweet and tangy sauce. Cole slaw is not overly sweet and the mashed potatoes and gravy were pure comfort food. Roll was fluffy too. Will definitely be back to get my bbq fix. read more

Found this place on Yelp, and the positive reviews were not lying! We ordered the $20.99 Lunch Special, which comes with a Chicken Leg Quarter, Pork Ribs or Beef Ribs, 2 sides, and 2 dinner rolls. Everything was fall off the bone and delicious! I love the seasoning on their chicken leg quarters; it was sweet and savory, it reminded me of Filipino BBQ seasoning. Their ribs (Pork and Beef) were so nice and tender! Their sides were also delicious and nicely seasoned. Their mashed potatoes and coleslaw are flavorful and accompanied the meat so well. :) The service is very homey and welcoming. I like the interior decorations and there was a good amount of seating inside. Overall, would definitely come back to get some delicious and affordable BBQ! Highly recommend for everyone to try! read more

Amazing service as always! I have been coming here for over 12 years and the quality never fails, always a 10/10 meal. I accidentally ordered BBQ ribs instead of seasoned ribs and asked for seasoning on the side and the gentlemen working gave me a side of ribs with seasoning without even having to ask. The establishment is always clean and is an overall friendly environment. I appreciate that they go above and beyond to keep their customers satisfied. Definitely recommend this spot read more
I really wanted to love this BBQ but, it wasn't what I expected. I spent almost $50 for 2 lunch specials which includes two side dishes. I ordered the Chicken with fries and mashed potatoes and gravy. The Chicken is smoked to perfection, it's tender and has a great Smokey flavor but, their bbq sauce is not what I'm used to. I tasted a strong cinnamon or nutmeg flavor which was overpowering. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good but, the fries aren't anything special. If I were serving fries, they'd definitely be hit with seasoning salt for some flavor. My son ordered the beef ribs with the same sides. Unfortunately, they ran out of pork ribs and I was told the wait would be about an hour so with the beef we went. He said they were good. Overall, I think the side options could use a twist or tweaking. I did appreciate the cleanliness and the small sink to wash your hands and the service was quick. Glad they found a new spot to move to. The new place is very nice. One of my favorite barbecue spots. Used to go to the original on Route 66 back in the days. I know it's new owners but the cook is the same guy from back in the days. Food is always good -- prices are very fair- friendly people good service. What more can you ask for. We like everything but favorites are the chicken and pork ribs. Their elote is awesome got to get there early they usually run out. Love the sides specially the Cole slaw. read more

Good ambiance and easy to park! I got the lunch special with pork ribs. The pork ribs were a solid 9/10, it falls off the bone and is very juicy. The chicken I'll only give a 7/10, it was kind of dry for a chicken leg... The staff was attentive and asked how the food is. Will come again if I'm in the area! read more

Lived in Azusa for about 16 years and loved eating here throughout high school. Came back yesterday to pick up some food after I found out they're closing this location in about a month! I grabbed a pork rib plate with fries and mashed potatoes and the consistency of the food/taste is all there. The meat is cooked perfectly and is so tender the bones slide right out. Paired up with a bunch of extra bbq sauce and an extra gravy, this meal was insane. Aside from that the service is always on point--Art has been doing this for years and the spot just feels like a much loved community staple. The portioning is massive for the price, I brought the leftovers home to my (very picky) grandmother and I didn't even get a chance to eat them--she killed this plate of leftovers and was asking where I got it from! read more

The entire place is so clean, including the bathroom! Beef Ribs: there was so much meat on them. Chicken: very tender, good bbq sauce. Please come. It'll hit the spot for your BBQ cravings. read more

I finally got to have this again after a very long time and I have to say it took me back to my childhood! The restaurant is very nice and is kept very clean. The food was beyond amazing, chicken fell right off the bone and the sides were all so delicious! The service was amazing! Love that this is family operated! Such an amazing experience! Swung by while running errands. The place is LOUD; like, can't hear yourself think loud. I loved the film they were playing, but the action scenes were obnoxiously loud for a space with no acoustic dampening. I don't know: I wanted to root for this place, but it just wasn't great. - There is a difference between charring to caramelize and burning the hell out of something. The heat was up too high and consequently the outside of the meats were hard charcoal. - The sauce is just OK. That hurts to say, but it's true. - I'm not ever loving a store-bought roll. - If I'm eating at your restaurant, don't serve me in a styrofoam take-out box. For the price, that's a cheapening detail that lowers the "magic" of being in your restaurant. Service... I don't know? No one checked in. As I wage my 1-woman war on "tipping when it doesn't make sense": don't ask me to tip 15%+ at the start of the transaction, if you're not going to do the work. The tip is expected when you order at the counter, but no one actually circulates in the dining space. read more
