Had the lunch special and upgraded to the $29/pp. It has a couple extra things as the lower lever but since it was our first time, just wanted to try everything. Customer service was outstanding. I had high hopes for this place due to the raving reviews and it's an all you can eat place. Due to its name, I thought this was Korean owned and would be as good as the other Korean owned bbq restaurants. However it isn't. Regardless, I feel it had a lot of potential but it did not reach that potential. I arrived around 9 pm. Inside there were crane machine games for cute toys for kids. They had some fun decorations that are appealing for the kids. As you walk in, you'll first notice a stage for when they have live performances, which is very similar to other Chinese restaurants that have live performances to boost up the atmosphere. Although I didn't get to experience this, I do feel it would be a lot of fun and adds to the mood and entertainment. At the time that we went, it was relatively slow and not busy at all. The staff are super friendly and nice. They have a QR code to scan in order to see their menu. When it's time to order, you'd have to order with the staff on the tablet that they carry. Now for the food. I do feel that their prices are a little overpriced for what they offer when you compare prices to other restaurants and what they offer. I do like that they offer a package that comes with a type of seafood boil. However, I did not choose that one. I chose the Premium selection. Along with the menu, they have a salad bar and ice cream to enjoy. The salad bar contains different sauces Korean and Japanese side dishes along with cut sushi rolls and nigiris. The side dishes overall was good. The sushi however was okay. Nothing special. Keep in mind, I came late in the evening, so I'm not sure how fresh they were and it was relatively half empty. They did have fresh lettuce for you to take and wrap your meat with. The sauces were limited. The sauce was something you would have to go and make when going to a Chinese hotpot restaurant. For the side dishes that was given to you at the table, they were good. It was nothing special. But I did enjoy them. Of the meat selection on their menu, they have some good selections and some okay selection. Some of their meat we got was quite fatty. We had to cut out all the fat because it made the meat too chewy and fatty. It would cause you to feel tired real quick. I do believe a little fat makes the meat flavorful, but this was a big chunk of fat just on the meat. One of the items I did really enjoy was the small intestine. When you get a nice char, it's quite enjoyable. On the premium menu, you can order sashimi as much as you want. We ordered one time to try and I was greatly disappointed. The sashimi cuts were fishy and not fresh at all. But I'm glad it wasn't spoiled. For the meats, we got wagyu short plate, hand cut short rib, boneless short rib, beef brisket, premium beef tongue, ribeye steak, prime rib finger, beef short plate. For their sides, I got the regular French fries, Orion rings, and egg rolls. They come out hot. I enjoyed the side dishes a lot. They were not too oily. The onion ring is best eaten when it's still warm. I did see they have cold noodles, but it would be too filling so we skipped it. I would have loved to try the cold noodles. But if you want bang for your buck, skip the heavy items and stick to the meats. read more

Large Korean BBQ place, and I really like that they have a happy hour. I got the $19.99 option, which includes the salad bar and a few meat choices, and all the meats were good. The place was pretty clean. One heads up: no one greets you at the door, so you have to walk up to the second counter inside to get seated. It wasn't very busy during lunch, and the service was attentive and fast. Note that the happy hour option comes with a required 18% tip on the meal. They offer both KBBQ and seafood boil. We had both and enjoyed each bite. They also have a bar area offering sides for your KBBQ and so many roll choices. We had the premium menu and took advantage of their amazing offer of a free boil (deal ends soon, check restaurant). The premium menu had plenty of choice meats offered including seafood choices such as shrimp and octopus. Okay we tried their limited happy hour menu, tho they didn't tell me an exact time when it is they gave me the menu when I asked for it around 4-5pm ish. It's $10 cheaper than the regular rate but has limited meat options and sides. Rice and rice paper still came with it tho and an ice cream cup at the end as well as access to the open salad bar. Well, just doing a quick update because they added cajun boil to their menu. In fact, for $50 you can get AYCE boil and KBBQ. I don't know how anyone could eat enough to get their money's worth, but that's what is going down. Also during the weekdays Mon-Thurs, they have a late Happy Hour where the KBBQ has a few less meat choices but is only like $29.99, so that is highly recommended. So how was the cajun boil? Honestly, not horrible but not exactly good either. Any cajun boil lives and dies by the success of their house sauce, and unfortunately theirs is not balance and noticeably too sour. It's not something I'd eat here again. I'd rather go to Grab-A-Crab or Submarine Crab (my favorite). Still, their KBBQ is still a great deal. Quality meats, a cheap late night Happy Hour for the last 90 minutes they're open on weeknights, good sauces (except for the bean dip for the lettuce wraps which is way too dark and doesn't taste right), and lots of small side dishes like gyoza and sweet buns, and french fries, and popcorn chicken. This is still my current go to for KBBQ AYCE. It an get busy, especially on the weekend, and lots of people come in with large parties. This place reminds me of a phrase "jack of all trades, master of none". After watching the short videos from social media about their special and I decided to gave it a try. I had high expectations because of their rating but I was disappointed. I really wanted the seafood broil to be good and it was no where near the well known popular seafood broil restaurant. I think I can make it taste better than this. Sushi was on par with ordinary Chinese buffet quality and nothing special. The meat was chewy and ventilation was not great. Like I said I was expecting better experience given their regular price. For some people, it would be ok for the food quality and selection with their special price but not for me. My spouse and I came here hoping for a decent meal, but instead we were subjected to unnecessary unprofessionalism and outright harassment from a specific staff member. I ordered a $29.99 special and my spouse ordered the $19.99 special. The server took our order without uttering a single word about any restrictions. Later, when I asked about ordering a side dish not included in my original selection, I was politely informed it belonged to the $39.99 tier. Since I wanted more variety and understood those terms, I agreed to upgrade my package to the $39.99 tier. Our server enthusiastically said that was completely fine and brought out the food. When deciding what to eat today, I knew I wanted KBBQ, but my spouse doesn't have a big appetite and doesn't really eat meat. However, I figured if a single roll of sushi is priced around $20 at other places, we could still eat here together even though we both craved different things. Despite them only eating a couple pieces of sushi and orange slices before saying they were full, it was still nice to sit and spend time together. Things were going alright, but once the check arrived, I was surprised to see we were both charged the full $39.99 price. When I pointed out this mistake to the server, they had the audacity to ask, "Did you talk to your server about that?"- as if we hadn't placed our orders with them. The server who took first our order came over, realized the error, politely apologized, and indicated they would fix it. We expressed appreciation and were ready to get on with the rest of our day. Unfortunately, that deeply incompetent server came back and aggressively announced we both HAD to pay the $39.99 rate because "everyone at the table must be charged the same." I explained that nobody informed us of this rule beforehand and that there were multiple opportunities to do so- initially when we first placed our order and another when I upgraded to the $39.99 tier. The server simply gestured to the "menu's fine print". I began to ask why the other staff members approved the split tiers but stopped and asked if they were even the manager. They admitted they weren't. When I requested to speak to the manager, they refused. When I asked for their name, they muttered "I don't want to tell you". Instead, they threatened to call the police over a billing error they caused! When I told them to go ahead, they backtracked and admitted they COULD change the price, they were just "waiting for me to act right." We were reasonably furious at being scammed and talked down to. Instead of correcting a simple mistake, this employee decided to hold our bill hostage on a technicality that was never communicated and was contradicted by other coworkers. What could have been a simple fix turned into a huge nightmare that wasted so much of our time. To management: Please address this rogue, power tripping employee who refuses to contact management, lies, and threatens to call police on your customers. This was my first and will be my last time ever coming here. I wouldn't typically post pictures of people without their consent, but I also don't typically get threatened with police when I'm just trying to pay for my meal and go. read more

After visiting Action Bowling lanes, I stopped by Wow Cow Korean BBQ shortly before closing time. It wasn't too busy and got seated right away. Inside is very vibrant with neon signs, KAWS custom figures, and bright lights. With the Happy Hour being very limited, we went for the Premium meats to try their wide assortment of cuts. Some of our favorites included the Prime Rib finger, wagyu short plate and brisket. I tried premium beef tongue and small intestine for the first time, I liked the beef tongue more. Small intestine freaked me out but was good when it was crispy and charred. This spot is perfect for big groups but I thought some of the cuts had a lot of fat than other spots. I was hungry with a friend of walking for pokemon go fest. We really wanted something meaty and hearty and wow cow fit just the bill. We came on a weekend later in the day at night. The wait can be long so definitely call ahead. It took us 30 minutes to get seated. That being said, service before and during the meal was good. The decor is epic- giant kaws statue with chrome. The meat and service were both pretty good, with banchan being good but not leaving a strong impression. Is it fast and value? Yep. Is it the best kbbq I've had? No, but it gets the job done. Okay, honestly, I was skeptical about this place because I've personally never heard about it from my friends or anyone.. but I'm so glad I came here. The space itself is huge. The seating is great and spaced out really well, which I appreciated. It has a kind of futuristic vibe, which is pretty neat. They have a bar area with smaller snacks, sushi, desserts, plus a sauce and salad station. There's also another station with a small freezer that has different ice cream flavors for no extra charge. Their all you can eat plan has three tiers: a basic option, a premium option, and an executive option. The prices are honestly pretty decent. My friend and I got the middle tier, and it came out to about $80 for two people. We were satisfied with the quality of the meat, the variety, and how much you're actually able to eat. It really felt like we got our money's worth, which made me really happy. As far as customer service goes, everything was fine. Nothing over the top, but no complaints.. it was chill and smooth overall. My only preference or suggestion would be to maybe dim some of the lights a bit. KBBQ spots that set the mood a little more rather than have well lit/bright lights always do better. It would give it like a night life/futuristic/cyberpunk type vibe. read more

So close to giving this location a 5 star until I bit into a plastic piece in my food... Let's start with the good part. The meat quality is good. Meat rolls are not frozen and can easily unwrap. The self-serving bar is a great addition. We had fun trying out the different sushi, and they were all so good! The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seats. Additionally, if you post 5+ photos of the restaruant to your social media, you will get $10 off vouchers (they also discounted my meal). My critique: 1) I found a clear plastic piece in my corn cheese. It was definitely a red flag, and could've easily been swallowed if I had not notice. 2) The lights are pink, so it was hard for me to determine if the food is cooked. 3) Never had worse kimchi (tofu) stew. Wow Cow?? I was NOT WOWED. Truly a disappointing dinner. Came in as a party of 8 and we were seated at a long table with two grills. One side of the table received great service with grill changes every 5 minutes while the other side didn't get a grill change until we asked for one. We noticed that the grill was unusually low heat, so we asked the server to turn it up since our brisket was taking forever to cook. Unfortunately, it took us some fiddling around to figure out how to turn up the heat of our grill. As I was about to pick up a piece of brisket, I noticed a strange light reflecting off of the meat. I set it down and noticed a piece of metal stuck to the meat. I picked it up and felt it with my fingers and it was most definitely metal. Possibly from those metal dish scrubbers. I alerted a server when she came over to change our grill. I let her know that I found metal in the meat and no longer want to eat. She responded with "Oh no, I can take that for you." So yes I did pick it up and put it on the dirty grill to be taken away. After a couple minutes, she came over and apologized for metal, offering me a choice of strawberry or carrot towel. She also let us know that the beers ordered by my friends (2 Sapporo and 1 Heineken which would be $17 total) would be on the house. I truly did appreciate the apology and offer of a cute towel, however, it was weird that they comped the beers that my friends ordered when I was the one who found metal in my food? I didn't even order or drink beer so it felt like a weird way to apologize. The ambiance and decor here is interesting and the salad bar is definitely unique. We wanted to try something new, what a mistake! The food is decent, not great. Very basic seasonings and flavors for Korean BBQ. The service is HORRIBLE. Walked in at around 5:30pm on a Friday. Place was pretty empty at that time. We were checking out the menu at the front for while and 3 employees looked at us and chose not to acknowledge or help us. One guy finally came over and went over options with us. Once we were seated, we were rarely checked on, had to keep raising our hand to get the waiters attention. Very disappointing experience at Wow Cow. We went a long time without having our grill plate changed, and the staff's attitude was poor. What really grossed me out was seeing a staff member use the tool meant for lifting and changing grill plates to poke our meat directly. Watching that tool touch the food we were about to eat felt so unhygienic and completely ruined my appetite. Basic cleanliness and respectful service should be the bare minimum.
