The Pharmacist is inhuman, works far below professional standards, and needs to be replaced. Unable, or not willing, to use rational means of distinguishing the difference between a drug addict, attempting to make an illegal purchase, and an older gentleman, an Upland Resident, who is noticeably, in horrific pain, is baffling. I almost started to cry, standing there, with my face swollen and a script for Norco 5's (the lowest Milligram pill in its class). My cheek was swollen, face twitching, when she told me that she would have to call my Doctor at his office before filling the script. It was after hours, so what she was telling me to do is; "Get lost!" It gets better. I call the Doctor on my cell phone and ask him to call Wallgreens (it was late, but my Dentist is, IN FACT a good human being, as well as being a great Dentist) After verifying the Caller ID. the pharmacist began to grill him, not believing him and was bent, on not filling my script. She was without the ability to use rational judgement and compassion. No matter what evidence was put before her, that this was a legitimate script, and that I was, in fact, a suffering man, she was determined to send me home in pain. Her face, was that, of Nurse Ratchet in, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I am a 56 year old man, with a relatively conservative demeanor, I am a resident of Upland and I had proper ID. My wife was standing right next to me, as my cheek, was literally, inflating, right before this woman's eyes. Her refusal to fill my script, was barbaric and lead me to believe that this might not be the first time. Finally, my Dentist was able to convince her, as if he really needed to...Again,he had CALLER ID on his home phone! She was a mean woman, and I am pretty sure, that the color of my skin had a lot to do with it. I'd sue her and Wallgreens, if I had the time. I will always remember her cold eyes, though, and how she showed no human feelings, towards the fact that I was legitimately suffering, with Gauze stuffed into my cheek, and, again, the watery eyes of, not a drug addict, but of a person who was genuinely in pain and was, literally, tearing up. I will never return to Wallgreens, EVER...and I will speak of them with disdain and distrust with others, for as long as I live. read more
