I went to this Walgreens to have photos printed. I ordered 44 pictures but only received 10. Because I didn't pick up the order myself, I didn't realize the mistake until the day I needed the photos. I called the store to explain that 34 photos were missing. The associate I spoke with, Princess, stated that she could not reprint the photos and said she would ask someone the next day if they had been left out by mistake. This response was confusing, especially since the store offers same-day photo printing. She repeatedly insisted there was no one available to reprint them and said she "wasn't going to lose her job" by doing so. She then abruptly ended the conversation and hung up on me. After being hung up on, I went to the store in person. A different cashier again claimed there was no one working in the photo department, despite there being customers actively waiting in line for photo services. After waiting a few minutes, I spoke with another associate, explained the situation, and she was able to reprint the photos without any issue. While I was speaking with this associate, Princess repeatedly inserted herself into the conversation and began arguing with me unprovoked. The entire interaction was extremely unprofessional and frustrating. This was the worst customer service experience I've had at a Walgreens. Due to the lack of professionalism and poor handling of a simple issue, I will not be returning to this location. read more

UPDATE - I used to come here mainly for pharmacy pickups and never had an issue--staff there were usually polite and helpful. That changed completely during my recent visit. I went in to make an online return and the woman at the front register flat-out refused to help. She was arrogant, dismissive, and clearly unwilling to assist--wouldn't even tell me how to process the return. Thankfully, someone from the photo section stepped in and helped (she was great), but the cashier's attitude was unbelievable. The store itself is poorly maintained with mostly empty shelves. After my return, I tried to buy oat milk with a gift card and was rudely told "gift cards aren't accepted for dairy products." I couldn't find anything on Walgreens' site stating this policy, so it felt like she was just throwing up roadblocks. Her tone made it obvious she was purposefully rude. While in line, I saw her being just as hostile toward certain other customers--and it came across as targeted, even racial, based on what I observed. She should not be at the register or in any position where she can make customers feel bad. This was hands-down one of the most horrendous customer service experiences I've had in years. Unless you need the pharmacy, avoid this store entirely. I left regretting I didn't just walk out without the oat milk OLD REVIEW This place is close to my home in Capitol Hill. I am now at an hour on hold to speak to the pharmacy about why my prescription is still listed on the website as "in progress" after a week. When I pick up prescriptions, staff in the pharmacy look like they are working very hard and yet are always very polite. But if you need to call, sometimes I can speak to them in ten minutes but other times 20, 30 minutes or more. Not the staff's fault; I think this pharmacy is understaffed. I was told by staff that they were in the system but not fulfilled. When I asked why, she said, "Not my problem." The store is dirty and has lots of empty shelves. Ive been going to this pharmacy for the last year or so and have only had good experiences until now. For the last week I have had extensive delays in getting my prescriptions filled. and being told throughout the week that the medication would be ordered that day and should show up the next day. Come to find that it was never ordered and that my prescription was not even in process even though it was confirmed verbally 2-3 times that it was. Then today I called after being told by the pharmacist yesterday to do so and make sure that the medication was there. The woman that picked up the phone was incredibly rude and hurried. After talking to the pharmacist there said that "they only had half the pills, which i could have but then lose the rest of the amount. what do i want to do?" I was processing what was being said to me when she said "what do you want to do? call other stores they have it." saying all this before I can even say anything then hangs up on me. if i could give this interaction 0 stars I would and am taking her advice and will be going to another store now. read more

They constantly drop the ball on refilling prescriptions, leaving orders on "order submitted" or "in progress" for days at a time then when confronted tell me that it was either lost in the system or was never submitted. I've been told by staff they contacted my doctors to get more refills then when I have to inevitably call my doctors they inform me they never got anything from Walgreens. The line is always 30 minutes. DO NOT GET YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE!! I'd give them less than one star if I could! read more

Zero stars! This was my second stop today to get my passport pictures taken. I was referred to this location because the first Walgreens I went to (Jackson st) did not have a camera. Then, I came to this location and I was told they are short staffed. Mind you, they were not busy and the cashier was just lounging in the front. There were 3 other employees stocking the shelves. The pharmacy staff seems nice enough but after holding over an hour and a half yesterday, they still didn't have my prescription ready for pickup when I came in person today. There were a lot of people waiting. They asked me if I wanted to wait 30 mins (yeah, right) or come back. I said I would come back. It's been almost an hour and a half and it's still not ready. Notably it's the middle of the day on a Tuesday. I've been here before near closing and waited in a very long line. That time, they had my script ready but it was very busy. I would highly recommend a different pharmacy. They're probably wildly understaffed. Next day update: was unable to pick up yesterday because it took actually over 4 hours for them to fill my order. Went today (next day) and I arrived 11:50 to a line 8 deep. To their credit, some of these people were trying like hell to get their prescriptions redirected to another pharmacy since Bartell Drug recently allowed Walgreens to absorb their orders. I also got this notice but am not on any ongoing medications. No one was given any option or warning in advance of this takeover so it's probably created a lot of extra strain on the pharmacy in various ways. Thankfully I was picking up one time med. Since I called in advance two days ago (hold time over an hour and a half), I was told I could use GoodRx. Today the Pharmacy Ops Manager laughed saying she didn't think I could use it. I hope that was worth the potential $10 to the COMPANY you work for - it's not like I'm taking that out of your paycheck! They let me use it after I explained I called previously. This interaction and the long line in the middle of the day on a Wednesday clinched it for me. I will stay far away from this ghetto Walgreens. read more

For no reason this pharmacy made me pay out of pocket when my medication was 100% covered by medical insurance and copay company. The problem was on Walgreens and the pharmacist did not care to report and fix the issue on their side. Instead they asked me to change the pharmacy. Wasted my time and money with them... Whoever is the main pharmacist, she must quit this job because all the reviews show how horrible she is in managing this pharmacy. So I called in my refill. Came by today, again I've been in line 10 minutes. One person has gone up. Another had given up. If I wouldn't go into SSRI withdrawal tomorrow I'd blow this place. Edit: After being in line for 50 minutes my prescription wasn't done! Told yesterday it would be. Refused to even do a partial. They shut the system down and forced most of the line to leave. Hate the pharmacy. They are very slow, not communicative, and will get rid of your medications quickly and for no reason.

Typical pharmacy experience. I call to request the status of my medication. I'm put in a queue and am not able to get through to anyone in over an hour, even though it says I'm next in queue. Okay, whatever. I'll just go in-person. I show up and proceed to wait in line for another hour at the pharmacy. I'm then told that even though they received my prescription four days ago, the pharmacist still needs to confirm my prescription again with my doctor before they'll fill it. This pharmacist did not find the time to confirm my prescription over the span of FOUR DAYS, and would not give me an estimated timeline on when they'll be able to do so. So I'm likely going to have to wait a week or two to get a single prescription filled that I DESPERATELY need. This location and head pharmacist should lose their licenses. read more

Now, sadly, this is the only pharmacy option within walking distance of the local community. Expect to wait hours for your prescriptions, and for the pharmacist to not really know much about anything. About 50% of items are locked up so good luck getting the attention of the overworked staff to get any locked items off the shelf. Lines are long and made worse by the cashier constantly needing manager authorization for who knows what. Place is routinely a hangout for junkies. They have consistently not had bags (?). Pharmacy is awful for immunizations. I called ahead of time to make sure they had what I needed and pharmacist assured me they did and asked me to make an appointed. Went down about 40 minutes later, checked in, and after waiting for 30 minutes was told they forgot to check if they had the diluent, and so they can't give it until they get that possibly sometime next week. Of the various Walgreens locations in Seattle, this is one of the worst. It's partly because of the neighborhood, but partly because the staff never seem to know what's going on. I usually shop at a different one, but when it came to getting my vaccination, this was just the most convenient location. I was getting my Covid Vaccine at Walgreens instead of a hospital, because they were offering $5 Bonus Rewards with your vaccination. When I arrived for my appointment, I mentioned this. The pharmacy clerk responded, "Oh, we're not doing that anymore." I said that I had seen the offer online just that morning, so she said she would check. She came back and told me that I was supposed to have a "coupon" with me, and that it had been for flu shots, not covid. I knew the offer was for covid vaccine, but I thought maybe I was supposed to have printed out some sort of coupon first, so I gave up, and just got my shot. (The injectionist asked me for suggestions on where she should take her vacation, but I guess that part was small talk.) It turns out, the "coupon" was something THEY were supposed to give me! They were supposed to hand me a $5 Bonus Rewards coupon when I got my injection, and now it's too late... sigh. read more

I am a Black, queer, gender neutral person and I was profiled at this store during my routine shopping trip. I entered the Walgreens on 1531 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122 and was immediately followed by a Black woman security guard. She had blue eye contacts and was about 5'10. I paced through the store to find some household items and magazines for cooking to prep for the winter. As I walked aisle to aisle, she was standing either at the end of each aisle or was directly behind me. As many new customers entered, some by groups, she stayed on top of me my entire time in this store. I had planned to grab a few more items, but because I was so uncomfortable being watched, I felt unwanted and decided that is was best for me to cut my shopping experience short. On my way out she told me that she appreciated my cooperation with her profiling me and that, "the morning had been rough." Not only did she admit to profiling the only other Black person in the store, but she explained it to me as if I should understand her deductive reasoning to be prejudice. As someone who frequents this Walgreens for my prescriptions, I feel unwanted and unsafe in the store, due to a representative of Walgreens being actively prejudice and admitting it. I hope there is a solution that can come from this because I should feel welcomed and safe in my neighborhood Walgreens that provides my prescriptions. I expected Walgreens to be a major community member as a store that serves so many families. I am unsure where Walgreens lies in the areas of discrimination and prejudice. read more

It'll be in in a couple of hours. Great. I'll have to wait. Sure you don't have a bathroom? Nope. Not even for you, customer who has to wait for us to get what you want. Fuck you. Fine. It's a good thing that I asked before the urgency became something that I can't control. And, where do your employees piss? Please tell me that you don't just hand them a Nice! bucket. Fast forward to a little over an hour later. The product is in but there's an issue with insurance. Nobody checked that before sending me on my way and telling me to come back. So, I literally came back only to be sent away. Again. Oh, and I still can't use the restroom. Fuck me, right? This is not because they don't have one. It's because they aren't "allowed" to let customers use it. My prescription medications cost upwards of $1500 a month. The Beast's cost more than $4000 a month. I'm moving everything to Bartell's. Their pharmacy is a joke. Do not go here if you're expecting to leave on the corner of happy and healthy. They literally try their best to make you unhappy while withholding your medicine to keep you healthy. I'll be switching to bartell's. It seems most all Walgreens around here are just as bad. My issue is way past the fact that most the staff is uneducated. First off, I came to this Walgreens from the one located on Pike St downtown after their staff just decided to make up a lie just to give me some kind of answer. Which FYI I deal with enough uneducated people daily and done enough research on the laws around prescriptions that I could perform their job better, but most people are so quick to jump to defense and get angry when you try to give them useful information that could help them be a better person. Since I've had very minimal issues with this Walgreens (not to mention that I'm a familiar face since I get all my meds filled here monthly) I decided to take mg business over to them. Well now I'll be finding a different pharmacy. Since the entire staff here wants to do the most. My written prescription from my doctor has a full date of April 26. But down in the notes section, my doctor simply wrote May 2022. So that she and her staff knows that the prescription is for May and not April. Tell me why the staff at walgreens decided, on their own, that it means my medicine cannot be dispensed until may 1st? Stupid I know, first off, you aren't the prescribing doctor so stop trying to assume I'm trying to screw over the system. Second, if you wanted to actually do your job correctly, then why don't you look back at the past 10 years of the SAME prescription getting filled every single month and and see that this is a monthly prescription of 30 pills that was last filled a month and a half ago. Which then you could count on your hands that more than 30 days has passed since my last refill because your staff downtown wanted to lie to me causing me to spend almost two weeks making appts driving all over Washington just to get a written prescription for meds I already had prescribed. Furthermore, why wasn't any of this explained to me hours ago whenever I dropped the prescription off in the first place? Stay in your lane and just do your job. Because you're investigating skills suck. For whatever reason, I'm not able to get my prescription that I've been out of almost two weeks because, I can only assume, due to the prescription itself. Stop trying to cast your judgement of whatever personal issues you have with the medication. Turns out some of us actually benefit from staying healthy. There isn't even an issue with my insurance willing to cover it. That should be an indicator to you that whatever investigation you're attempting isn't correct. Meanwhile, my prescription that would cost over $3,000 without insurance, you're trying to give to me weeks before it's actually needed. I take the same meds everyday, so the fact that you're trying to hand me one that isn't needed and still withholding the one I've been out of for weeks should indicate that your staff are being bias simply due to the type of medication. GET IT TOGETHER WALGREENS. I've given you my business for over 20 years now, I thought you were better than this. Ugh got me fed up with peoples bullshit nowadays. I'm not one to rag on pharmacies especially in times of COVID and staffing shortages but this is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to, and if I could I'd personally hand a 0 star written review to every employee here if possible. Impossible to reach by phone, rude to customers, and my final straw was today when I tried to get here before their lunch break to pick up a prescription I NEED and have had a lot of trouble filling lately after losing my last refill in a CAR ACCIDENT. I ran in as they were closing for lunch and literally dropped down on the FLOOR asking if they could just let me pick up my refill which would've easily taken 60 seconds max. The pharmacist rudely told me no and closed anyway. Walgreens can be extremely hit or miss but this one is especially terrible and if you can go to any other pharmacy I highly recommend, I'll never be going back. read more

Awful customer service today. Bought Banana Boat sunscreen with a "Save $2 NOW" attached. After transacting, I asked the clerk if the discount had been applied. He said "No. Use it next time." I then asked if he could redo the transaction. His response "No, this is not worth my time. I'd have to get my manager to void it." I was in a rush and didn't have time to press further. This pharmacy is terrible! My prescriptions are always delayed. Every time I come in there is a line from the pharmacy to the front of the store. Whenever I go in to pick up they always have some excuse for why it's not ready and then tell me it will be ready the next day. I will come back the next day and wait in that ridiculous line only for them to tell me the same thing. Every month it requires several visits to their store for them to finally fill my prescription. If you can avoid this pharmacy it will save you a lot of headaches and frustration. read more

Staff is ok. But Walgreens absorbed several nearby pharmacies. They then proceeded to route all calls that went to this pharmacy to a call center. The call center would say it'll be filled by late tonight. You go in and then the staff says they have nothing for you and you have to request a refill at the next window and it "should" be filled tomorrow. Walgreens wasn't capable of absorbing those other pharmacies but they did it anyways because it's profitable for them. read more
