This Walgreens location needs serious improvement. Outside, it reeks of urine from the homeless that loiter in the area. Inside, it's just as frustrating. The photo area is always unmanned-- I end up standing there for several minutes before having to track someone down. Customer service is hit or miss, and the checkout lanes remain crowded together with little regard for spacing. My most recent experience was especially frustrating. I stopped in quickly on my way to an event to purchase deodorant, only to find that the barcode wouldn't scan. A passing employee confirmed there was no price in the system at all. After already waiting in line several minutes, this was the final straw-- I left without making a purchase. For such a common item not to even appear in inventory shows a lack of organization and attention to detail. This is one of the busiest pharmacies in the neighborhood. I know that because I'm in the healthcare industry. It is at a very accessible corner. The place is clean, wide and not cramped, the pharmacies always very busy. Walking around was so fun because I've seen here things. Usually I see at hardware places. And when you enter, there is no smell like another pharmacy down the road. I run away from many businesses because once you enter, there is some kind of a bad smell, even at restaurants. read more

They filled my prescription partially, promised me they would get the rest of my medication within a week... then cancelled my prescription with no notice or notification. As a healthcare professional myself, I am actually appalled at how unprofessional, judgmental and condescending the pharmacists are. I'm a travel nurse and I'm prescribed a medication that happens to be a controlled substance. I rely on this medication and I'm not on a high dose. I've had problems getting refills from the time I started working in this area 6 months ago. I would call for a refill and they just wouldn't fill it. I'd wait and wait to see when it was ready so that I could pick up all of refills at the same time and I'd never get a notification that it was ready. I'd have to call back and request the refill again. Sometimes I had to call back TWICE! It's a 24hr pharmacy and it would take me days to finally get it filled. I would always go a few days before even calling for the refill. Well, I just so happened to be completely out of meds and really needed my refill when I get notified that the pharmacist delayed my refill until my doctor submits a treatment plan! As a nurse, I know that this is entirely legal, yes. Is it indicated? No! My low dose medication that hasn't increased in the mere 6 months that I've been here shouldn't be setting off any red flags, let's be real. Not only that, when I called my Dr office, they told me that information was already sent to them 3 weeks ago! I have never in my life had a pharmacist question the appropriateness of my medication regimen. It's offensive and embarrassing and insensitive. I was finally able to get that medication last month. This month, Walgreen's decided to stop filling that medication and called my Dr to have them send it somewhere else for me. Again, something I've never had happen before. IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS HARD FOR ANYOME TO GET THEIR MEDICATION! Pharmacists take an oath. Apparently, it's not something emphasized or embraced at this Walgreens location. read more

One register open, and the guy literally hand searched hundreds of prescriptions for twenty minutes trying to find a person's prescription while the queue gradually built up. If you need a prescription filled, just go somewhere else. I believe they usually only have one pharmacist on site and you will be waiting for 1-2 hours. I use this Walgreens for my mother who lives nearby. This is the only Pharmacy where you can call and actually have someone answer the phone in the pharmacy but also help you. They also recently sent us a text telling me that my mother is eligible for another Covid shot. I have found all the employees that work here friendly and willing to help. This is not the case at all Pharmacies. I recommend this store highly. read more

This review is for the photo service. I've always enjoyed Walgreens' online photo service and finally worked up the courage to sort through months of photos, edit, and print a set of 100. The order was ready the next day. Customer service was extremely friendly but had a hard time locating my photos (they were in the new stack in the back near the printer). This person seemed new on the job so it was forgivable. Photo qualities are quite good as long as you upload high resolution photos. However the cropping was not working so we had a lot of good photos that will need to get reprinted. The most distasteful aspect of this location is the vibe. Lots of shady people in the parking lot which is crowded and dirty. Lights in the store are dim too. I would practice a high level of situational awareness when parking or shopping here. pretty sad for the pharmacy staff. you can tell they are incredibly stressed out by how rude and short they are. I don't think they mean to be, but it's obvious they are under a lot of pressure. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Went there yesterday and didn't pick up prescriptions because they said they weren't covered. Called my insurance and it was because they tried to fill more than 30 day supply. So we got it sorted out and I go back the next day and tech said I have to call insurance. She gave me some paper and later when I read it, it said the prescription was filled the day before and it was not. I'd go to CVS and stay away from them if possible. This is not the first time I've had problems with them making mistakes. They need to learn how to read and communicate better. Had she explained what was in the paper she gave me she'd know the prescription wasn't filled. This is unacceptable. People need their medication for their health and they don't care. These techs need training on communication skills and reading/interpreting the information from their computer systems. I'm angry and will not go back. This store is a dumpster fire. It smells like urine as you walk in. The pharmacy technicians are so inept they created a new profile for someone that's been getting prescriptions from Walgreens for more than five years. I have never been so frustrated at the pharmacy before, I will never return to this Walgreens store. This was terrible service. The attendant at the window was confused and difficult to communicate with. Trying to be clear and patient, they kept repeating back confusing information. Pharmacy review... Went to pick up one prescription sent in by doctor 20 minutes prior. Sat in drive through behind only one car, after 10 minutes went inside and there was a line of four people. Only one person helping anyone. They finally called another person to help and then they skipped the people waiting inside and helped the new car in the driveway... Disregarding people that had been waiting inside far before the car pulled up. Pharmacy Manager needs to be handling things properly, very poorly ran from what I'm seeing. read more

I called the Walgreens at one and they let me know my prescription will be ready in an hour and a half. So 230. I went at 3:45. My doctor called and needed to know that I received my babies medication before she went home for the weekend. This Walgreens takes forever. The drive-through line has taken me over an hour in the past so this time I decided to go inside. There were eight people/ families in front of me. After waiting 15 minutes and not a single person had moved, I decided to speak with the consultation guy. I said hey I just need to know that you guys have the medication because my doctor is calling me back in 15 minutes to make sure so that my baby has it for the weekend. He went and got the medication in his hands and showed me. He said yes one of the two was ready but the other will be ready in an hour. I said that's weird because both were supposed to be ready at 2:30 but whatever. I said, "that's the one that I need the most so can I pick them up separately, as in can I just pick up that one?" He said, "well you cut the line". I said, "OK, not what I'm asking you, I'm asking if I can get the medications separately, like if I go back to the line can I get this medicine alone." He said, "I'm not going to give it to you because you cut the line." Omg. I just turned around and left because I was so frustrated, and I didn't want to wait around a bunch of sick people with my nine month old in my arms anyways. So I sent my husband in an hour (as the guy said the full order would be ready in an hour) to pick up the medication. Again, one was not ready. When he got home and gave me the meds, they had given him the 2nd one they had told me wasn't ready- not the one the guy had in his hands, that the doctor called and had me check to make sure they had. Because it was so important. As of the time I am writing this I have been on hold over 20 minutes to speak to a pharmacist. This Walgreens is not just slow, it's incompetent and you should not trust them with your health. read more

This is the worst pharmacy!!!! I brought in a legible prescription. To not understand what it says is absolutely insane!!!! I get a txt that the "refill" is not authorized. It's not a refill!!!!! Then we got that fixed I thought. Then I'm told it will be ready in 90 mins. It's now been 4 hours.... I called - on hold & hung up on. This is an rx For my dog who can barely breathe. I'm soo pissed. Now I'm going over there & try to keep my cool......I moved it up to two stars just because the girl ( I wish I got her name) she was so understanding , she understood where I was coming from. She too was a veterinary technician. She remembered me from the previous day & She got me the medication I needed immediately. That girl deserves a raise! Prescription called in from a late dr appointment. Called the next morning at 9am and was told my prescription would be 3-4 hours. I was also told that they would NOT notify me when the prescription would be filled. Instead I should call back every 30 minutes. Once ready, went to pick up in the drive thru since they said not to come in b/c I was sick. Over 20 minutes in pick up line. Not a great experience for me. I can't believe the abuse I witness how these SELF ENTITLED KARENS (yeah old and young alike) treat the Pharmacy Technicians here when things don't go their way. It's hideous. This pharmacy serves a neighborhood that can't afford costly insurance mistakes or pricing errors. I was told that the Rx was not covered by the supplement carrier. I was forced to pay over $300 for the script that Safeway filled for $31 two days later. While waiting forever, I noticed that almost all pharmacy customers in line encountered hassles of one sort or another at Walgreens Seaside. They were the only pharmacy in the county that had my drug in stock, so the doctor sent us there. Thank God we live in Carmel. read more
