Best parking for Dec 6th. And great day for a Costco run.
    Mr Erik N.

My mom wanted some soup that a neighbor gave her. It was the best soup ever!! And so I told her only Costco sold it. Not only did we get prime Parking. But the soup was on sale. Perfect day. Mahalo and thanks. From both of us.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Costco in Sand City is great--lots of selection, good deals, and the staff here is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were staying in the Monterey area and found out that there was a Costco about a mile away from the hotel. I enjoying checking Costco when traveling to different cities to see if the store cares products unique to the area. There was ample parking and the store was good sized and was not busy for a late Friday morning. Nice selection of wine and spirts but did not find any unique items here. Happy to have been able to check out another Costco.

Came to this Costco mostly to get gas and kill some time inside. Ended up buying a hoodie for $15 and some food court foods. The newish turkey sandwich for $7 is interesting but definitely not worth it. This location was reasonably crowded as well but nothing out of the norm for a Costco.

Wait! What's going on? This isn't Black Friday it's normal Wednesday, right? People lined up to get in the store that won't open for 30 minutes. I don't know for sure but maybe it's time to buy more Costco stock. I am here too, sadly, thinking the store would open at 9:00- they decided to change the hours and didn't tell anyone. Nobody is complaining. In fact it's Social,Hour - people yakking it up. Waiting. I think I'm in a different Galaxy Heading here for a quick pick up of the usual paper products, waters, etc. Only I'm not early. Haha. Once inside I'm reminded why people shop here. Quality name brand products. Very low cost and a tremendous no questions asked return policy. I decided to peruse the wine department and again was blown away -- anything from very good low cost selections to high end choices you might not expect. Like $300 a bottle stuff. Nice to have choices. I won't go into all the choices just to say every-time I go to the store the inventory changes. It's really the fun thing about the place. And it keeps people coming back.with prices up everywhere on everything it's refreshing to see Costco keeping its low pricing objective in tact. Go, you won't be disappointed.

Fruits and veggies are superior to all the other stores. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The associate manning the food court (short hair) is fantastic - no name badge, but doing it all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cashier we had was unpleasant, rushed and seemed bothered we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This review is for the food court. Amazing prices. I mean $1.50 for a hotdog and a soda?! You can't beat that price. My visit was on 8/19/2023 and they have STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM!!!! Sooo yummy. Just try it. My only complaint about the food court is the lack of organization. On the side of the food court there are several self serve tablets to order as well as the option to order when you are checking out with your cashier. I don't think that should allow ordering at the actual pick up counters, it holds up the line and I can tell the employees are frustrated, however, they still allow it. Also, please print the calories in smaller print... no one needs to know their pizza is 710 calories *** just joking***

Icing and splinting my middle finger after hurting it lifting the core car battery as instructed by cashier
    Tsung S.

I went to the tire store on the side of the main store hoping to get full service for buying the battery but turns out they only sell batteries to be carried out. That's fine and not a problem, since it's literally their business model that they cannot change. Ordered the battery anyways expecting the battery was the issue for my own car not able to start the last 2 days without a jump. Asked if I could borrow any tools to change myself and they didn't have any. Only that I could go get some inside Costco itself and buy some tools. For a place with tools on the inside and no service from the store, please at least have some tools on loan for other's convenience. Again perhaps it's liability they were worried about. No matter. I drove to o'reilly's after and got tools and changed the battery out myself. When asked the cashier whether they have a cart to wheel out the battery as I came in with a baby in a stroller, he told me to go get a cart. I had hoped that he would help me with wheeling it out to the car with me but it was perhaps too much for him. I ended up getting a cart, put the battery in. Looked at the stroller and the cart and myself, took the stroller apart and put my car seat and stroller into the cart and wheeled it out myself. I was actually proud of my genius solution! Still upbeat and on my way. Decided that I didn't want to carry the core battery in the car for the rest of my new year trip from sacramento to LA and back, I brought back the battery to the store for core refund. The other cashier was friendly but said, "do me a favor and put the battery on the cart on the side." I thought ok this is self service ALL THE WAY HUH?" But guess what, I'm not a baby, sure I'll do it. As I try to lift the battery up from the shopping cart with my finger tips, I heard a SNAP! And my middle finger gave way! I was in shock but I quickly gathered myself and used my pointing finger and got the battery onto the cart it was supposed to go on to. I noticed some battery pick up tool on the cart but had no explanations, and I didn't want to misuse it and drop the battery onto my toes or anything. Got my $15 cash from the cashiers and a numb middle finger... My Middle finger has been numb since the incident and it's 2 days later. I drove through the crazy rain through this trip thinking whether my career is on the line from this incident. Surely hoped they would have at least told me how to use the battery pick up clamp or even just do it themselves! I already wheeled it in with the shopping cart that was their official answer for wheeling batteries in and out of the store. On the bonus, their gas station is 2 blocks away and very confusing to get to. For a non local, I wasted another 20 minutes trying to find it while still in shock over my numb finger... I'm probably more livid because of my injury but come on! do your job and pick up the core yourself! Not going to be Mr nice guy here and get myself hurt next time.

Sales calls answered immediately. Customer concerns? Crickets!!…read more Let me start with this, I called Mancini's sleep world during this ordeal, twice and emailed three times. I was connected almost immediately when it had anything to do with a potential sale. The moment I called to address a concern, crickets. This tells you everything you need to know about where their priorities actually lie, and it also makes me genuinely question how authentic their current reviews are. Here's what happened. I visited their Sand City, California location on July 9, 2026. No greeting when I walked in. After browsing independently for nearly 10 minutes, you know, the thing you're supposed to do in a mattress store, I reclined on a display mattress and was abruptly told by an associate "hey, you can't be on there ". No explanation. No apology. When I asked for clarification, I got "just not that one". And when I followed up, he turned to me an elevated and aggressive tone and asked, "are you OK?" A question that had nothing to do with customer service and everything to do with intimidation. I exited the store shocked by what had just happened but returned 2 minutes later to demand to speak with Director or above. I ended up texting the store manager the same day. Read receipt confirmed. Did not address the issue as I asked. I also sent a formal written complaint on the same day to corporate customer service. No response. I followed up again on July 17 to emails directly from their website. No response. I called corporate on July 31 and was connected immediately, because again, it rang like a sales call. I was provided a new email contact and told someone would reach out. That was weeks ago. Still nothing. So here we are. If Yelp allowed it, this would be a a -5 star. I'm not easily rattled, and I don't write reviews out of emotion. I write them after I've done everything right and been ignored at every turn. This company had multiple opportunities to acknowledge a legitimate concern and chose silence every single time. That's not an oversight. That's a choice. Shop elsewhere. When I shared my experience with a friend I was told of a similar experience she had at that location. I am not writing about it because I myself was not witness to this however encourage anyone and everyone who has had a bad experience to post it on Yelp as customers should be aware of what occurs there and maybe then management will take customer concerns seriously and conduct their own internal investigation of these matters.

Like other GO's, this one has good deals on items that are close to expiring or is close to passing their Best By dates. Of course there's a lot of items that are plenty fresh and have long dates to go, they're still cheaper than regular grocery stores or at least comparable in price, just that GO doesn't carry all the national or local brands. We came to find some snacks and fruits to munch on before we went "hiking" on nature trails in the Carmel and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve areas. We found lots of goodies, some at regular prices, others on discount or clearance prices due to expiring soon, and all reasonably priced. Overall, this GO isn't too different from others, there's plenty of produce and pantry items, tons of snacks and candies to choose from, and frozen items in the freezer aisles like ice cream and microwave meals aplenty which is what we often look for to enjoy in the evening at our hotel. There are even kitchenware should anyone need to pick some up before a camping trip if they forgot to buy or bring from home. I'm thankful for this GO when we're on the go.
