I'm honestly not sure why this stores rating is what it is...? I think this Ace is amazing. The…read morestaff is very attentive and knowledgeable. I used to work in Seaside and would dread having go to Home Depot. At Ace, I can ask nearly any employee where something is and they will tell my down to within a couple of feet. Good luck finding that at a large box store. Plus, their selection for a store its size, is pretty amazing. The specialty items they have are very impressive. I mean they have a whole aisle for just nuts, bolts, and fasteners. I also find it nice, but this isn't most stores fault they're just protecting their inventory, it's pleasant to not have to ask someone to open up cabinets to buy things because it's all under lock and key. I realize that I could probably get a lot of the things that Ace sells for less online or some place like Home Depot. I don't mind paying more when you get good service and can accomplish your project today to pay a bit more. I don't buy at Ace because I need to, it's because I want to, based on the way I'm treated and that means a lot to me.

Then had some harder to reach one's in even more of a bad angle. Went to harbor freight in frustration and walked out with $20 worth of 5 tools, w of which came in sets. They worked perfect. Returning the home depot and lowes garbage. Lowes is good for like appliances but when it comes to needing 1 tool they only sell $40 sets. Whereas at Harbor Freight, more often than not, you can buy just the 1 tool you need. I can't believe they literally had everything I was looking for here. I will definitely come here first next time. Oh and I also had the same experience last year buying a tool chest. Harbor Freight had nicer sliding drawer mechanisms and better size and it was on some holiday sale so for like $100 less I got what I feel like was a better product. This seems to be the recurring theme in all of my experiences with this store. You pay much less and get what you need. I will be back again and again!

He was incredibly patient with my many questions, took the time to explain everything, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I truly love our new shed--it's well built, looks great, and has been a wonderful addition to our home. Delilah from the scheduling team was also phenomenal. She was responsive, organized, and made sure any questions or needs we had during the installation were addressed quickly. The entire experience was smooth, and I highly recommend Tuff Shed and their team!

As a discerning and skeptical consumer who routinely dissects the nuances of consumer durables,…read morehome equity investments, and the architecture of exceptional service, I must confess: my latest encounter with Tuff Shed (and Salinas office) has set a new personal benchmark for seamless execution in the outdoor structure category. I configured my ideal shed via their online tool--precise, intuitive, almost elegant in its restraint--and submitted for pricing. Within minutes, Marty from the Salinas sales office rang. His command of the details was immediate and reassuring; when I pressed on dimensional flexibility to navigate my city's permit thresholds (that pesky 120 sq ft line), he disclosed the unadvertised option for true one-foot increments. That single piece of insider knowledge transformed a constraint into an opportunity, allowing me to maximize my footprint without triggering bureaucratic entanglement. Order placed Tuesday. Delivery and installation on Friday. The communication was impeccable--appropriate and timely emails, texts, and confirmation calls. The crew--quietly professional, no theater--completed the build in under three hours. I had specified eight-foot sidewalls, a decision that proves transformative: the vertical volume invites thoughtful stacking, turning mere storage into something approaching a private warehouse. The quality is almost ostentatiously honest. Roof tiles laid fresh and impeccably aligned, every course crisp. The structure was perfectly leveled by the crew to the site's gentle grade, ensuring long-term drainage integrity without a whisper of compromise. Framing feels overbuilt in the best possible way--engineered confidence rather than bravado. From quote to keys (yes, these sheds have a robust locking door), the process flowed with the quiet efficiency one hopes for but rarely encounters. No surprises, no friction, no after-the-fact excuses. In an era when even premium brands occasionally fumble fulfillment, Tuff Shed--delivered from San Jose, shepherded by the Salinas team, and personified by Marty--delivered an experience so frictionless it borders on the exemplary. If you're in the Monterey Bay region (or anywhere Tuff Shed services) and contemplating an accessory building that respects both your property's aesthetics and your schedule, this is the gold standard. I emphatically recommend Tuff Shed.
