Wonderful experience! Chris was very knowledgeable and fixed my vacuum on the spot- for a fraction of what I have paid at other places. He was very kind and personable. I will be back! read more

I've been coming here for more than 20 years. José nursed my ancient Miele (40 + years) until it simply died. He is always fair, honest and just an all-around nice guy. I highly recommend a Peninsula vacuum for your small appliance needs. read more

Jose is super-helpful, knowledgeable and honest. This is the kind of local business we love to support. He took good care of our aging Miele, and we just got a Sebo we like even better. read more

Business offers a variety of services and replacement part options for vacuum needs, and the customer service is above board.

Jose the owner and Christian the daughter are honest and professional people. Their service is great and punctual. Most of all, they charge very reasonably for the labor and parts. They also sell high end European models on site including hospital grades and commercial grades. You can ask them any questions regarding vacuum cleaners. read more

Great and fast service, don't hesitate to stop by for any questions or repairs, Jose is very nice and smart technician when it comes to advice or a repair. read more

Save your time, money and sanity by shopping here! The selection, prices, but mostly the service is lightyears better than any corporate big box. Jose is so friendly and knowledgeable. He also assembled my new vacuum right there for me! This place has won a customer for life read more

Do you think vacuum cleaners can be sexy? Me too. I love Miele vacuums-- the lines, the smooth shape, their weight, their efficiency, the fact that they clean. Oh and they're quiet. Came here today to pick up some bags for my old cannister and I was smitten by the gorgeous new models. I had a Dyson for a while. Not even close in terms of agility, suction and design. I've got my eye on a fire engine red little beauty. Friendly fellow working the counter. Got me exactly what I needed, made small talk. Super friendly and extra character points for mentioning his wife which made it clear he was being friendly, not pervy. I like that. read more

Peninsula Vacuum & Appliance - Love this! On the side of their building. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Seaside, California

I recently broke my carpet cleaner. As someone with small children and a couple of fur kids, this was a huge detriment. I was unaware that we had a vacuum and appliance repair so close! I called and they were ready and willing to take my carpet cleaner in ASAP. The gentlemen here were very professional and kind. They let me know my options and called before they made any decisions. It was super fast service and my carpet cleaner is as a good as new for such a reasonable price!! 10/10 would recommend anyone to go here. Side note. I had to pick up my item while toting my two year old. The gentleman working at the time was very patient and sweet with my tiny one. As a mom, running errands alone can be stressful- they made me feel right at home. read more

Jose at the shop was very helpful before and after the purchase. We love the Miele Vacuum. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Steve's Peninsula Vacuum for a good ten years. I started with the Pacific Grove store and extended to the Seaside store. Just the other day at the Seaside store, Mr. Jose made me feel welcomed, he offered expert advice on an upright vacuum cleaner that needed his magic touch. He replaced the motor and cleaned it up within 24-hours. It runs like a Porsche now. But, didn't cost as much as one. Thank you Jose and Steve for providing such great service for such a long time! Your small business charm keeps me choosing you first. Stay Awesome!! read more

Was only in there to grab some bags for my old schooll vacuum and I had to wait 15min!! There was one customer who was leaving in front of me and they could have rang me up. Instead they took another customer and elaborated on a vacuum thorough explanation while I stood there patiently waiting. That whole time he could have helped me and paid for it by the time the other lady left. It was absolutely insane and awful customer service read more

Jose has excellent customer service and quick turnaround. My vacuum was very nicely cleaned and parking lot in the back. Will definitely return and recommend! read more

Great service!! Quick and priced fair!! Jose repaired my 12+ year old canister Miele (that I love!!!) I dropped it on a Monday afternoon, he phoned me that same day, informed me of the problem and gave me a pick up day. My vacuum was ready for pick up 2 days later!! When picking up, I found basically a new vacuum. He cleaned it entirely, replaced all the filters and a new bag, along with a freshener. Also, the vacuum works perfectly ! Thank you to Jose for great service.! read more

Remember the days when a business acted like it wanted your business. You know with real customer service. Those days are here again with Peninsula Vacuum. I went in on a Saturday with a few questions about my vacuum that was not working correctly. He said he would give me a free estimate if I just bring it in. I brought it in later that afternoon. By 4:30 that afternoon it was all repaired and working like a new one. Super fast service and at a very fair price too. I was so surprised and happy. In and out within hours. You can't get better service then that. I'm very happy with Peninsula Vacuum. They have won my future business too. read more

Got a Miele vacuum from here and love it. Had an issue covered by warranty and he took care of it quickly, no hassle.

My wife and I were treated very well by Jose and his lovely wife. We took our old Miele White Star in for a repair and look at a possible replacement. Jose repaired our White Star in a professional manner - for free - and when he finished our Miele looked and worked like new. As we talked we started looking at some of the models he had on display and were taken by one in particular. Jose and his wife answered every question we had in detail. We liked the improvements Miele has made since the White Star and we purchased the newer model. We really enjoyed our experience at Peninsula Vacuum. Jose and his wife are good people and it was good dealing with them. Support your local business. read more

We bought our Miele vacuum from Peninsula Vacuum just over 22yrs ago. We have been treated so well by Stephan and referred him to other friends who also had great experiences. We brought in our old machine that was starting to make sounds from the bearings going bad and bought a new one. Great pricing, and he is "local"! Stephan said he would fix up our old one with a re-built motor in case we wanted it for one of our kids, and since we were buying a new one.....no service charge! Can't say enough. ( We also bought Miele washer/ dryer and dishwasher from Stephan too just about a year ago. ) read more

Had an excellent experience! The prices were amazing. Customer service was fabulous. Epitomizes why small businesses are essential!

I was looking to invest in a top of the line vacuum cleaner after going through several cheapies over the years. I combed through dozens of online reviews and decided to purchase a Miele vacuum. They had several models and I was unsure which one would best suit my needs. I called a few places online that seemed to have the best prices and offered free shipping, bags, and filters. I was still a little lost on which one would work best so I decided to call Peninsula Vacuum and Appliance hoping to speak with an experienced salesman. I really had no intention of purchasing from them because I assumed I would be getting a better deal online. After speaking with a gentleman named Stefan (Stephan?), he persuaded me to come in and give a couple of the models a try and I'm so glad I did! I went in and he was helping a customer who he was very friendly with but still welcomed me and said he would be with me shortly. After he was finished helping her he pulled down a couple models with different attachments for me to try. I found one I really liked but I was also was interested in the brushes that came with the more expensive models. Without hesitation he offered the brush from the other model to me for free! This brush sells online for $100. He also threw in some bags ($20 value) and a flexible crevice tool ($30 value). I also happened to come in on the week that they pay the sales tax! I could not possibly find a better deal anywhere else! I'm more than thrilled with my experience today. Not only did he beat online prices, he was extremely generous and helpful. I also feel better supporting a local business that understands the importance of customer service. I will be referring this store to all of my friends and family and I encourage anyone shopping for a quality vacuum to stop in! read more

Unfortunately just like pg store, this guy will bait and switch you to buy a meile vacuum; he has no interest in saving you money or fixing the vacuum you bring in. tsk tsk! read more

I bought my Miele Platinum canister vac 12 years ago from Stephan and his father at their Pacific Grove shop. Over the years I've continued patronizing their business to buy replacement bags and filters and I always found them to be very friendly and helpful. What a great vacuum! It's been used weekly in an 1800 sq ft home with 2 adults, 2 kids, 3 dogs and a couple of cats. Over the years, I have found it very easy to maneuver throughout the house, and that includes using it on carpeted stairs. Recently I noticed the hose and the wand had started to deteriorate and that they needed to be replaced. To purchase these two parts it would cost about $300. So I thought about trying a different vacuum and purchased the Dyson canister for about $300. I wanted to try going bag-less. For many reasons, comparing the Dyson to the Miele, I decided I did not like the Dyson and returned it. But before I spent that much money on parts for a 12 year old vacuum, I decided to take my Miele in and have Stephan evaluate the vacuum and the power head to see if he thought it would last a few more years. It was very nice to find out that he thought the vacuum was in great shape and would probably last another 10 years! I went ahead and purchased the hose and wand from him. It's nice that Miele still has replacement parts for such an old unit. When I went in to pick up the vacuum, I didn't even recognize it. They had taken the time to clean off the paint scratches on the canister and the power head. They looked brand new! A great product and wonderful service! Thank you! read more

My 7 or 8 year old Meila cannister vac, bought from their Pacific Grove shop quit working the day before Xmas Eve. My holiday party was to be next day. I called and the lady said to bring it down. They made a speedy effort to service it that afternoon; turns out it needed a new motor head and general servicing, and had it ready first thing next morning. Quick! And pleasant staff. In the past, when I went in for bags and got confused as to which one; they loaned me ones to try; also the Seaside shop did a quick service/adjustment free of charge once. All around great service thru the years. And the Meila cannister is the best vac I've ever had, and I've tried them ALL. read more

I needed a new cord for my Vacuum because the wires broke inside the cord where it attaches to the handle, I called in with the model number and make and color of the cord, (Blue) and was told that it is the exact cord as the original not an after market cord. I took in my cord and handle and asked they had the cord and he said yes and showed it to me. Well it was black not blue and the diameter of the cord was much smaller. I was told it was manufactured from the parent company and it would work, I told him the the color was not important but the diameter and the length was since it was for a commercial vacuum. I told him I would rather get the Original equipment, and I could get it some where else, since they were local I would rather do business with them. He asked me where i could get the original cord and for how much, I refused to answer him. I thanked him and as I was walking out with my son he told me "YOU MUST KNOW EVERYTHING" as I stood there in shock I informed him I have been doing vacuum repairs for over 30 years. I walk out and bought the original cord for less. I own a business and wish this business would try to provide service instead of just trying to make a sale. Well I will not be buying any thing from this store. I just wanted to give my two cents and yelp has always helped me out when I shop. Maybe I just caught this guy on a bad day but this is my experience and have my son as a witness as to what REALLY happened. I have better luck with the vacuum center in Salinas. read more

I had my first experience with a broken vacuum and found Peninsula Vacuum & Appliance on Yelp. They definitely exceeded my expectations and fixed my vacuum within a day and for a good deal. I highly recommend them! read more

I've gone to this shop for over 5 years and always have had a good experience. I've had several vacuums over this time that I've bought bags, filters and other parts for. I'm down to one canister, a Riccar (same company as a Miele now) and even though I didn't purchase it from this shop they are always helpful when I have something I need. One time I brought it in to get filters and he put it on his table and cleaned it inside for me without charge. When I needed a new hose he told me the price he would have to charge me and suggested I call the company directly to try to get it for less. They wouldn't sell to me directly so I purchased it from him and am happy with the hose. The company changed the design (confirmed when I spoke to them directly) and that is why is was expensive. I don't have the power head option on my vacuum but the only hose the company makes now has the electrical connections for the power head. It turns out the new hose is better constructed that the original, with reinforcement where the old hose broke, so I'm fine with it. I'll continue going here! They also give a discount for cash over credit cards, which can be a nice savings! read more

These people really know their vacuums. I have bought several vacuums from them over the years (for different properties). They are competitively priced and stand behind what they sell. Yesterday the owner fixed my (very old) miehle cannister at no charge (had trouble getting the top to stay on). Very very nice person, great products, will never shop anywhere else. read more

I was considering an expensive purchase ($600) for an air purifier. They had one in a brown box but the salesman wouldnt even let me open it to look at it or hear how much noise it makes etc. Just kept saying "oh its very quiet". The guy was totally uncooperative. Normally I try to "buy local" But why pay high prices for no customer service? I seriously doubt he'd much help if I had to take it back for any reason. I might as well buy it online and save some money than buy from this guy an get lousy service. read more

We took our Miele in for a couple of minor fix ups and Stephen Georis treated us so nicely, as he did everyone that came into the shop. He fixed our vacuum and didn't even charge us.
