They were efficient, reasonably priced, and were able to install our downdraft oven. Super kind and took time explaining things to me

We had a great experience with Big D and his team. They were on time and very professional. They installed my new stove/oven and it looks great. I liked the way they cleaned the area and left my kitchen clean and removed all of the trash. They were reasonable and I would highly recommend them. read more

Dave very quickly got back to me on a question about installing a washing machine in Marina that helped me understand what is the best value for getting what I wanted. I didn't actually hire Dave (he recommended a better option), but I greatly appreciate his quick and correct advice. I really hope the people he can serve best - and I know for a fact there are many that he can help that don't have our specific different circumstances - will hire him!!! read more

Big D did amazing job! He works fast but clean. BIg D was recommended from someone that doesn't do appliance installation. We needed our 20 year old Microwave removed and our new one put in. He had informed us he would fit us in Tuesday of next week we were ok with that. But we're pleased when we received a text leting us know he could fit us in today Friday the 25th of April. Like I said already he works fast but is clean no mess no fuss. Would highly recommend his business to anyone I know. We will definitely be using Big D's appliance installation again. Dave and his crew worked at warp speed to remove a double wall oven unit, measure the cut out it to confirm the fit for a tentative replacement, make a modification to the cutout to accommodate the selection, pick up that appliance from the vendor and install it. All in three hours. Great job! read more

Big D and his guys delivered twice in the last month. Both times, they arrived when expected. They are friendly, personable, and efficient (no time wasted). After removing the fridge that had been in the same spot for 18 years, they cleaned the floor and wall! They had to remove the front door to my house for the delivery which they did carefully and with no issues and put it back. Since delivery was included in the appliance purchase, I don't know what this service costs. But, whatever it is, Big D and his crew are a good value and professional. They are a well oiled machine. I recommend highly. read more

We Scheduled to have an appliance replaced through warranty . We had agreed for start time to be 8am as mornings are busy with kids. The morning of the owner of this company notified us he was on his way earlier than we had planned (8am) he wanted to enter the home before 7 am. And because we didn't agree he got very angry, started yelling and cursing. He then threatened to tell the warranty company that we "were being difficult". We told him to do what he needs to and we no longer needed his services. Very unprofessional. We have since had it replaced by a very professional company. read more

Owner is rude and doesn't know how to keep appointments. Can't speak for his work because he there a tantrum and never showed up.

So glad we were able to use Dave and his team for our outdoor grill install. We first met him when he was a recommended by BID to have him come to our house to take measurements for a built in outside grill. He was friendly and knowledgeable. When it came time to install the grill his team was fast and efficient. He did an excellent job in retrofitting the existing space to accommodate the new grill and hauled away the old grill. Highly recommend. read more

Fast, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and great customer service! Will definitely call them for our next project.

Dave has installed a Vent-A-Hood, microwave, garbage disposal, and fixed the door that fell off my GE Monogram oven. For each visit he and his team were on time, efficient, very friendly, and highly competent. He has also done 3 contractor's inspections for my vacation rental license in Pacific Grove. His price was 1/4 what another contractor bid for the inspection. And he also has the most fantastic Fu-Manchu you have ever seen! Highly recommend Dave Cisneros. read more

What an amazing company... My gen-air died. Getting a replacement was not easy. After several attempts to get a new stove top .... With several different companies a friend gave me phone number and his first name... I told him my problem ...and he said I'll be out late tomorrow afternoon.... He drive from Salinas , he looked at me and said I know you .. After a couple of hours she said sorry the takes two big lifters to put this in... good bye... David the owner, of big D came in lifted the stop top out trimmed the inset connected the new electrical outlet box as the old one was a hard wire box that was part of the stove. He cut the down draft pipe and between him and his team the y work like a surgeon in an operating room. I need the ... and the member already had the tool waiting for him. Then they lifted it backdown in to the stop he trimmed a little... as he was trimming his team member has the hose to the shop vac catching the parts cut off. Never in my life have I seen that done. They held the bright flashlight down on every thin David did. Do you have the part , cleaned and ready way his reply as he handed it to him. I was so impressed with him and his company. Very professional, team members were so polite... asking do you want us to take the old top and box that was out side on the deck. They picked up the took box and took out as David did the finishing touches... I flipped the power breaker on... When I came back into the kitchen he said look at this... he turned on the first two burners with a beautiful deem red glow...almost as if he was the doctor presenting me my first son that was born... then turn them off and turned the other two and the down draft ... I can't wait for my wife to get home and see what a fantastic job he did... I was worried that after Covid the company that were doing repair or installing appliances ect that were proud of their work were a thing of the past...but David of Big D shows you they are still professional that are willing to do the job...I recommend BIG D Appliance with five Stars to all Was going to tell you what he'll I went thru getting service but you don't want to hear about my problem... it seems everyone has their story to tell What you want to know is about a company that will come to your home look professional... has knowledge and expertise to get your appliance installed and you don't need to worry about did they Know what they are doing... Big D came and installed a new Bosch dishwasher for me. He arrived with a team of one and they removed the old dishwasher, unboxed the new one, installed, and tested in just under 30 minutes. Dave is very easy to communicate with (texting works best) and will arrive when he says. His work is quality and his demeanor is very pleasant. He even recognized the previous appliances that he had installed in my home, years before I owned the house. I have bookmarked his page here in Yelp and I would gladly use him again. read more

Big D's Appliance Installation is Awesome. He offered to install a new cooktop for me within a day or two. Unfortunately I had to reschedule. Dave was so understanding and gave me a new appointment date that was right away and worked for me. He gave me a 2 hour window to arrive, called me when he was getting close by. Dave and his crew showed up in time. The worked together and finished quickly. Dave had a flex gas line with him to replace our outdated one. This team was GREAT. So polite and efficient. Really pleased with the service and the reasonable install rate. I highly recommend them!!! Thank you Dave! read more

Dave asked me questions up front to know the scope of a job, and gave me a fair quote for the work that needed to be done. Then Dave scheduled the job, showed up on time, and completed the work in a professional manner. Dave charged me what he quoted and was on his way. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with an appliance installation. read more

I had an appointment with Best Buy to have my new dishwasher installed. When BB failed to show up, I called and was told their system automatically canceled my appointment for no apparent reason. BB would not be able to do the install for 3 days. I found Big D's Appliance Installation on Yelp and gave David a call. He was able to install my dishwasher with short notice and on the same day. David and his assistants installed the dishwasher within 30 minutes and did an excellent job. And they were professional, personable, and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this business and will use them again when needed. read more

About a month ago Big D's installed a dishwasher we purchased from Costco online. I am extremely pleased with the service provided. He called me to arrange the installation appointment, called me when he and his team were on the way (and they were on time), and did the job quickly and with obvious expertise. They completely cleaned up the jobsite and removed all the trash. I strongly recommend them. read more

Quick response. Well done. Reasonable price. Right on time. Would definitely use them again and recommend them.

I'm sure you can tell by his response the kind of guy you'll be dealing with. I didn't know "sorry" was in his vocabulary. Buyer beware!

He is Unprofessional and expensive. We do not recommend him. Get other bids for your appliance installation. We had a very bad experience with Dave. read more

All positive here. Everything was professional with great results and quick text responses to my many questions. This job required some tile cutting which is very dusty, we had no clean up to do after Dave left. read more

AMAZING! Fabulous work, ensuring my appliances were installed exactly right both aesthetically and functionally. I have integrated fridge freezers as well as a stove they installed. The freezer had to be replaced (manufacturing issue), and they came again. This is my 3rd renovation in the last 4 years and I will never use anyone but Big D's again. They are far and beyond everyone else. It's an art with his team and him, having the finesse to get appliances correctly installed. Other installers I have used (or contractors) tend to use brut force that can leave dings or gaps. If you want your vision for your kitchen to come to life, you need Big D on your team. read more

Dave Cisneros did a good job removing my 40 yr old dishwasher and installing the new Asko. However, he had to remove floor tiles in order to accomplish the installation. He didn't think it was his job to replace the tiles he pulled up in front of the DW. So I was left with half a foot of old, dirty sub-flooring across the front of my new appliance. My calls were not returned and I have not heard from him since the installation on 9/29/22. Most unprofessional of him. I do NOT reccomend his services. He's good at scheduling but the follow-up is non-existent. J.E. read more

The other reviewers said it best: Dave is rude, entitled, hostile and difficult to communicate with. He tells you he will be there one day, claims he has left messages, and then becomes irrational and hostile when you call him on it. This guy is unprofessional and has no concept of customer service. I wouldn't trust him to install a light bulb. read more

I first met Big D back in 2017 when he came to instal my microwave above my stove. We purchased the microwave at Sears and Sears sent Dave (Big D). It took him and his partner maybe 10 or 15 minutes total to do the instal. I watched the whole thing and they were spot on with everything. After the installation Big D took a look at my dishwasher that I had just gotten installed by a local plumber (with great reviews on Yelp). Dave said that it wasn't installed properly and showed me that the dishwasher door would slightly tug on the side when opening and closing it. I called my plumber and my plumber came back and apologized for his mistake and made it right. However, if it wasn't for Dave, I would have just thought that's how our old home had to house the dishwasher unit. Big D gave me his card and told me to give him a call or text if I ever had any other appliances that needed to be installed. Yesterday I bought a new toilet and in the afternoon I called that same plumber. He was busy and said he would call me back. I waited till about 9pm and still never got a call back. As I thought about finding a new plumber, I came upon Big D's card. I knew he did appliances but I thought, "what the hell, maybe he instals toilets." I reached out to him via text message at 9:30pm and he immediately got back to me and said he could come out the next day and get it done. Sure enough he came this morning and got it done! No extra costs, super reasonable fee, and he and his partner did an amazing job! I will be calling Big D before anyone else if I need some help. I can tell he's got a ton of experience and is a jack of all trades. Thanks Big D! read more

Dave of Big D's Appliance Installations was very quick to respond to my request for a drop-in stove installation at my mom's house. He made the process very easy by getting the essential details, giving a reasonable quote right away, and setting up an appointment quickly. He let us know when he would be there and arrived on time, very good communication. The stove installation went very smoothly despite him having to deal with a couple of complications. He and his partner were very professional and cleaned the area as they were working, always mindful of covid-19 precautions. VERY impressed with Dave and his installation partner! Great on scheduling and follow-up, arrived a few minutes early, and did the entire dishwasher installation in less than an hour - no muss, no fuss. Dave also made recommendations for a needed plumbing repair (water line to the refrigerator icemaker). We will ask them to install our new refrigerator when it arrives. Highly recommended, fast, clean, professional. Oh, and the dishwasher? Installed perfectly, works great, no stress on the door opening or closing, perfectly level and square in our wonky 1960's-era kitchen. WEll done! read more

We needed a new oven for our home in Monterey. Home Depot does not have any installers for the city of Marina. Same thing with Lowes. So we are stuck buying from Sears (which is already a bad idea, since Sears has been in decline for a while). This "Big D's Appliance Installation" company is the only installer Sears uses in the county of Monterey. The problem with this arrangement is that both Sears and this "Big D installers" have monopolistic power in the Monterey zip codes. (They charge high prices, offer little flexibility, and they have that special brand of flippant rudeness that comes from the knowledge that their customers have nowhere else to turn.) "Big D" (and Sears) absolutely do not care if you are a happy customer. They (and their competitors) have carved up the different zip codes in the less populated zip codes so that they do not have to compete with one another. And the result is that they have monopolistic power, which they seem more than happy to abuse. What's that old saying? --- "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". That seems especially appropriate after dealing with this company. This company (and Sears for that matter), absolutely do NOT care if you are a happy customer. So your alternatives are to go with Sears and "Big D's", or buy from Home Depot or Lowes. But then you'll have to find your own contractor to handle the installation, and that means time/headache, and the appliance won't be covered under the warranty of Home Depot or Lowes. ------------------ UPDATE: I don't even think his license is current. I did a web search and this link here (which came out on top of the Google results) indicates that it expire in August of 2015: http://ca.electronicappliancerepair.org/MAJOR_APPLIANCE_REPAIR/9937.html License Number: 45861 License Status: CLEAR Definition Expiration Date: August 31, 2015 (Maybe it has been updated since then, but if so, Google does not seem to know about it.) read more

We were desperate to have a new refrigerator brought into the house (up some stairs!) and the old/broken one taken away.
