Big D and his guys delivered twice in the last month. Both times, they arrived when expected. They are friendly, personable, and efficient (no time wasted). After removing the fridge that had been in the same spot for 18 years, they cleaned the floor and wall! They had to remove the front door to my house for the delivery which they did carefully and with no issues and put it back. Since delivery was included in the appliance purchase, I don't know what this service costs. But, whatever it is, Big D and his crew are a good value and professional. They are a well oiled machine. We Scheduled to have an appliance replaced through warranty . We had agreed for start time to be 8am as mornings are busy with kids. The morning of the owner of this company notified us he was on his way earlier than we had planned (8am) he wanted to enter the home before 7 am. And because we didn't agree he got very angry, started yelling and cursing. He then threatened to tell the warranty company that we "were being difficult". We told him to do what he needs to and we no longer needed his services. Very unprofessional. We have since had it replaced by a very professional company. read more

We first met him when he was a recommended by BID to have him come to our house to take measurements for a built in outside grill. He was friendly and knowledgeable. What an amazing company... My gen-air died. Getting a replacement was not easy. After several attempts to get a new stove top .... With several different companies a friend gave me phone number and his first name... I told him my problem ...and he said I'll be out late tomorrow afternoon.... He drive from Salinas , he looked at me and said I know you .. I installed you dishwasher years ago ...He came in looked at what the last electrician did pulled the stove top out of the box started to read and the instructions and said I have never installed one but I can can do this. After a couple of hours she said sorry the takes two big lifters to put this in... good bye... David the owner, of big D came in lifted the stop top out trimmed the inset connected the new electrical outlet box as the old one was a hard wire box that was part of the stove. He cut the down draft pipe and between him and his team the y work like a surgeon in an operating room. I need the ... and the member already had the tool waiting for him. Then they lifted it backdown in to the stop he trimmed a little... as he was trimming his team member has the hose to the shop vac catching the parts cut off. Never in my life have I seen that done. They held the bright flashlight down on every thin David did. Do you have the part , cleaned and ready way his reply as he handed it to him. I was so impressed with him and his company. Very professional, team members were so polite... asking do you want us to take the old top and box that was out side on the deck. They picked up the took box and took out as David did the finishing touches... I flipped the power breaker on... When I came back into the kitchen he said look at this... he turned on the first two burners with a beautiful deem red glow...almost as if he was the doctor presenting me my first son that was born... then turn them off and turned the other two and the down draft ... I can't wait for my wife to get home and see what a fantastic job he did... AMAZING! Fabulous work, ensuring my appliances were installed exactly right both aesthetically and functionally. I have integrated fridge freezers as well as a stove they installed. The freezer had to be replaced (manufacturing issue), and they came again. This is my 3rd renovation in the last 4 years and I will never use anyone but Big D's again. They are far and beyond everyone else. It's an art with his team and him, having the finesse to get appliances correctly installed. Other installers I have used (or contractors) tend to use brut force that can leave dings or gaps. If you want your vision for your kitchen to come to life, you need Big D on your team. read more

Dave Cisneros did a good job removing my 40 yr old dishwasher and installing the new Asko. However, he had to remove floor tiles in order to accomplish the installation. He didn't think it was his job to replace the tiles he pulled up in front of the DW. So I was left with half a foot of old, dirty sub-flooring across the front of my new appliance. My calls were not returned and I have not heard from him since the installation on 9/29/22. Most unprofessional of him. I do NOT reccomend his services. I first met Big D back in 2017 when he came to instal my microwave above my stove. We purchased the microwave at Sears and Sears sent Dave (Big D). It took him and his partner maybe 10 or 15 minutes total to do the instal. I watched the whole thing and they were spot on with everything. After the installation Big D took a look at my dishwasher that I had just gotten installed by a local plumber (with great reviews on Yelp). Dave said that it wasn't installed properly and showed me that the dishwasher door would slightly tug on the side when opening and closing it. I called my plumber and my plumber came back and apologized for his mistake and made it right. However, if it wasn't for Dave, I would have just thought that's how our old home had to house the dishwasher unit. Big D gave me his card and told me to give him a call or text if I ever had any other appliances that needed to be installed. Yesterday I bought a new toilet and in the afternoon I called that same plumber. He was busy and said he would call me back. I waited till about 9pm and still never got a call back. As I thought about finding a new plumber, I came upon Big D's card. I knew he did appliances but I thought, "what the hell, maybe he instals toilets." I reached out to him via text message at 9:30pm and he immediately got back to me and said he could come out the next day and get it done. Sure enough he came this morning and got it done! No extra costs, super reasonable fee, and he and his partner did an amazing job! I will be calling Big D before anyone else if I need some help. We needed a new oven for our home in Monterey. Home Depot does not have any installers for the city of Marina. Same thing with Lowes. So we are stuck buying from Sears (which is already a bad idea, since Sears has been in decline for a while). This "Big D's Appliance Installation" company is the only installer Sears uses in the county of Monterey. The problem with this arrangement is that both Sears and this "Big D installers" have monopolistic power in the Monterey zip codes. (They charge high prices, offer little flexibility, and they have that special brand of flippant rudeness that comes from the knowledge that their customers have nowhere else to turn.) "Big D" (and Sears) absolutely do not care if you are a happy customer. They (and their competitors) have carved up the different zip codes in the less populated zip codes so that they do not have to compete with one another. And the result is that they have monopolistic power, which they seem more than happy to abuse. What's that old saying? --- "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". That seems especially appropriate after dealing with this company. This company (and Sears for that matter), absolutely do NOT care if you are a happy customer. So your alternatives are to go with Sears and "Big D's", or buy from Home Depot or Lowes. But then you'll have to find your own contractor to handle the installation, and that means time/headache, and the appliance won't be covered under the warranty of Home Depot or Lowes. ------------------ UPDATE: I don't even think his license is current.
