These guys are great. Used them several times. Easy to schedule. They give you a four hour window and narrow it the day before. They call right before they are coming (see you in 20 minutes!) and get the job done right. They clean up behind themselves (job site tidy/appliances put back properly) and they follow-up if you need a second part they get it, call to schedule the second appointment, and show up to deliver. I wanted to give an honest review. I am house sitting my twin sister's home in Monterey while they are traveling abroad. Her Whirlpool Duet Front loader washer wasn't working. Jesse came out promptly & contacted me before his slotted time. He assessed the problem & also told me about the front loader drain filter. We have a problem w/ mildew smelling clothes..we clean the rubber gasket & wash out w/ vinegar. But he cleaned the drain filter which needs to be done twice monthly!!! Also after each load we should run Drain/Spin to get out any excess water. I just washed a load & it smelled really good thank you Jesse!! read more

Do not give this company your business. One of their repairmen ca to my house and was as rude of a person as I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They gave me no requirements for the visit, but this guy complained that the oven just wasn't clean enough for him. He made a production out of putting his rubber gloves on and ignored nearly everything I said or asked. I asked what specifically he needed done, but I was ignored. He just told me that he refused to come back, finally something we could agree on. read more

I am very impressed with the service I received from Conner's Appliance. Our technician Joe was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Joe went above and beyond to diagnose our 20-year-old appliances, and find the correct replacement parts. He paid attention to the intricate details, and took pride in his work. After the first appointment to discover the problems, Joe said he would return in a couple weeks to finish the repair. After about a week the receptionist called to set up my follow up appointment. Joe returned exactly 3 weeks after his initial visit with the correct parts and got my appliances back to working great. I found Conner's Appliance to be reliable, professional, and great with communication. They sent texts to say when they would arrive, emails with receipts, and called to schedule my follow up visit. I tried to fix my refrigerator myself after watching hours and hours of YouTube videos and replacing parts that weren't the issue. I finally called Conners Appliance and had Joe come out. I never expected that good of service from a technician. Joe was worth 10 times the $129 troubleshooting fee. He had great suggestions on brands if we were to buy a new one and let us know that we might qualify for a class action lawsuit that would cover the repair cost of the refrigerator. next level service! read more

DANGEROUS POISONOUS CARBON MONOXIDE present in our home due to the incompetence of Connor's. These horrible callous people should never be allowed in your home. BEWARE. Connor's tech came to inspect our range for an igniter clicking issue. The tech ordered parts and noted a 'small gas leak' that did not need any immediate attention. When he returned not only did he fail to install the parts he said he did (and charged us for), but the gas leak was not remedied. We called PG&E to look at the leak. PG&E said the leak resulted in DANGEROUS POISONOUS CARBON MONOXIDE present in our home. I called Connor's asking they immediately return to remedy the problem. They said they had closed the ticket and would not return despite my reiterating that we had a DANGEROUS POISONOUS CARBON MONOXIDE leak. They ignored us, let calls go to voicemail and finally answered, telling us to find someone else and hung up! They got their money and did not care if were poisoned in our own home due to their incompetence. What is the matter with these ridiculous people? They did not stand by their work and reacted like petulant children when I insisted the remedy a dangerous situation they left us with. If you value your health and safety DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME. My Viking is old, just a fact. After being told by various repair people that I should bite the bullet and replace it, I found Connor's. Connor's now handles all of my appliance repairs. My Viking has never worked better! Jose came today to figure out a burner issue, showed up as expected, with all necessary tools/ parts quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. Then worked out the issue with my new Maytag fridge drawer, cleaned up after himself and was on his way. Connor's is the best! read more

My LG refrigerator was not cooling. I called and talked to Ashley and McKenzie they were both very helpful and friendly. Got the technician Joe out the next day. Joe was super friendly very knowledgeable and understanding of the situation. He explained that it was more than the compressor that was broken. Maybe they need to advise all of the manufacturers they have listed, that they no longer service certain zip codes. They were my first call. I was willing to wait. Hi - Not sure what was going on with one of their drivers today, but I was driving from Felton to Santa Cruz today 1/18 around 12:20pm but there was quite a bit of heavy traffic on Graham Hill due to PG&E work. Their driver was behind me tailgating me repeatedly while I had a very obvious large truck in front of me (and cars in front of them). They seemed agitated and also appeared to be texting (their head kept going up and down like they were distracted). They then sped up to turn onto Ocean Street and sorta waved me off? Not sure what was going on there, but not the best experience. I wish this business the best, but when I see people acting like that in a company vehicle I feel the need to say something since the business is posted on the car. I'm not one to Complain about anything but I wouldn't use this company again for any type of repair. They don't seem to care about the customers. All they wanted to do is charge another $1,000 dollar repair. For the same repair as last year. I realize I'm 28 days past there warranty period but to offer nothing even when the technician said they had a bad batch of a certain part makes no sense to me. They said if it was the same part as replaced last year they would take care of it. And they were willing to for the exact same price. Sad and Very Bad customer service. Would never use them again. Save yourself some money and use another company besides Conner's. read more

We called Conner's appliance to get some help with a bracket on our older Viking refrigerator that needed to be re-machined with a new hole for a bearing. I begrudgingly agreed to a $129 service call fee and explained in detail to the representative on the phone during scheduling exactly what the problem was, the age of the appliance, and the fact that we may either need to order a bracket or will need to be creative with how we solve the problem (worst case removal of the bracket and drilling and tapping a new hole to accept the bearing fastener). They explained to me over the phone that this would not be an issue and agreed to the job. When the service person arrived at the house, they dutifully informed me that Viking no longer made parts for my refrigerator and that there was nothing they could do further and that I owed them $129 for 5 minutes of their time at my house. I wrote the check and sent them on their way which... was a mistake. In fact, this whole interaction was a mistake. Conners is just fundamentally not qualified to do anything but order parts from Viking and install to make repairs. There is absolutely ZERO creative problem solving capability from this company. Why couldn't you have asked me the model number for the refrigerator OVER THE PHONE prior to making a house call just to tell me you can't order parts? The customer service response to this question: "we need to send a technician to assess the problem." It's like they're intentionally trying to withhold information just to collect their fee for doing nothing to actually fix the issue. After much back and forth over the phone, Conners agreed to refund me the service fee but I literally had to threaten a stop payment order on the check to get it done. Right before we parted ways the representative on the phone declared "we won't be doing business with you in the future." To which I replied "thank GOD for that." I'm sure a Conners rep will comment here to refute this story. To this, I recommend: read the one star reviews here and heed the warnings by others. My refrigerator was not cooling. Dylan came to the house, diagnosed the problem and got the refrigerator working so the cooling was back. The controller needed to be replaced because the auto defrost wasn't working. Turns out the auto defrost not working caused icing, which stopped the cooling. Dylan ordered the part and tracked the delivery to the shop. It didn't arrive as expected, so we waited through the weekend. Dylan went to the shop over the weekend and picked up the control board on his own time. This allowed us to get it fixed before leaving on vacation. This type of service is above and beyond, and so appreciated. This company is wonderful and I recommend them to anyone needing service. read more

Our 8 year old Whirlpool Dryer had a noisy thump and were worried we'd have to replace it. Very easy to call and schedule for a visit (requires a charge but I get their time is not free), there were robo calls the day before and day of the appointment. Mark was prompt and professional. I had terrible experiences with MIke's Appliance Service and was a bit gun shy to call another repairman. I can safely say that Connors Appliance Service has restored my faith in appliance repair. I recently needed my ice maker repaired/replaced. Happy I called them. I was greeted nicely when I originally called and information was exchanged. I was told that there would be a $99 service fee, of course, which I agreed to. I has already tested the unit and the water was not the issue, so it must have been the ice maker itself. Got a call the night before the visit, telling me what time the technician would arrive. The technician arrived on time and correctly diagnosed that water was not the issue. He then gave me a $248 (total) estimate for a replacement, which I accepted. The $99 service fee was rolled into the total price, which is as it should be, and not like my bad experience with other appliance companies. I was notified promptly the night before the tech came out and he arrived on time to repair my ice maker. It seems to be working at this point so I am happy. Thank you Connors Appliance! My one pet peeve is that I wish the company name would come up when they call me. It's not Connors fault, but I get a good amount of robocalls, so I do not typically answer calls with no identification. I might have missed their calls but thankfully, I didn't. read more

I wouldn't even rate this company a one star but it's the only way they would allow me to write this review. I have had several complications along with poor communications from their customer service. And it's because of that poor communication, my dishwasher has not been fixed since Thanksgiving. It's been almost two months. From the get-go, the process that Conner's Appliance uses to arrange appointments with customers is shameful. When Customer Service calls to schedule appointment, and if they can't reach you, they leave a message. When you try to call them back, the number is not a valid number. If they leave a number for you to call back, they say it so fast that you can't understand it, or customer service leaves one number off so it's a useless number. So in order to reach them, you need to search for Conner's Appliance to get the correct number. Another matter to know is when scheduling an appointment--take a full day off work because they can't tell you the time of service until they call on an erroneous number the night before the service call, or they may change the date of service to fit their schedule. This is what Conner's did to me...I prepared for a service call on Friday and let my work know I wasn't going to be there. Then the repair person calls me the day before my service and says he has some time available, can he come in a few hours. Well I didn't make time for the repair person to come on Thursday, I made adjustments in my schedule for the following day on Friday. So I told the repair person that it wasn't convenient for me, but I planned on him servicing my dishwasher the next day on Friday. He said I'd get a call that night on what time on Friday. I didn't get that call. So I called customer service on Friday to discover, they took my slot off the schedule for Friday and now the scheduling the repair person for Monday. I don't know about you, but shifting your schedule isn't easy... rescheduling appointments, meetings, and so on is not an easy task and it's time consuming. So now I am back to the scheduling the service call. Conner's can't tell you if it's a morning or afternoon slot. So you have to allocate the whole day until you hear from them the night before which is for me Sunday evening. If my schedule needs to be shifted, one can't do that Sunday night. So I have to take the entire day off to accommodate them. And remember, it's the second day that has been shifted. People lead busy lives. No one has the luxury to wait for the service repair person is do people want to. Hey, even FedEx and UPS figured this one out and they give you a time window the day you schedule a delivery. This is not a great way to run a business. Customer service is key to get customers to return. Yes, price and competency is important, but the most important this is customer service to ensure a life-time customer. Conner's Appliance doesn't make a customer feel like they want a "life-time" customer. What it makes is an "enemy for life." Time is money. Money is time. So figure it out Conner's and make it easier for your customers. That's the type of business you are in- a service business! read more

The customer service side of the business is great. Kirsten and the owner, Dylan, are professionals. However, they will not be the ones doing the actual appliance service. Technician Jesse was a nightmare. Technician William was a professional and we appreciated him cleaning up the mess from the first technician. My advice is to use them but to tell them on your initial phone call to not send Jesse to your home. Maybe request William by name. After a nightmare experience with Sears Home Warranty (Cinch), for my clothes dryer....waiting over 3 weeks for a repair person only to be told on the day they were scheduled that they have no service in my area (or within 50 miles)! I was told to get some one myself and they would reimburse. I contacted Conner's Appliance, and from the first phone call I knew I had found an excellent company who cared about their clients! Communication from start to finish was excellent. My appointment was scheduled within a few days and I was actually called to confirm the appointment as well as when the technician was on their way. To my surprise, Marisol (yes....a woman technician) showed up right on time but unfortunately PG&E went out 20 minutes before she arrived. By the time I called to let the office know, she was here and she immediately rescheduled my appointment. Right after she left, the electric came back on so I called and Marisol returned within an hour! She was extremely thorough and knew exactly what was wrong.....BEWARE LINT!! There was a buildup that had started burning and damaged wires and the heating element. I had Sears Home techs out in June to check and do maintenance and realize now they had only cleaned the back. This lint was in the front and Marisol detected it immediately. Lucky for my family we didn't have a fire due to Sears lack of service. Marisol determined my machine wasn't able to be fixed and within 20 minutes I had my invoice with the explanation to send to Sears Warranty Service in hopes they will comply with their obligation of replacing and reimbursing me for my costs. I Never complain about things in Restraunts or just about anything in general. I had a repair done last February, it was pricey over $1,400for a damper and a seal around the door in my refrigerator. Two weeks ago we started hearing noises and now refrigerator is freezing the produce and the whole bottom half of the refrigerator. Called and talked to the receptionist and she told us it was out of warranty. 28 days to be exact. At that point my wife continued to talk to her and explained it was just out of warranty. She the receptionist excused herself and said she would talk to management and see what they could do. She came back on and said it was out of warranty but if the part that they replaced had failed they would take care of it. My wife and I both herd her say the same thing. If since it was out of warranty it was something different that was wrong they would charge us , but if it was the part that they replaced they would take care of it. So today Conners came out and took a look at our refrigerator. The tech said yup same part. Gave us a bid to fix it. Also said that his boss or someone there said that there had been a few that had failed and must have been a bad batch. But here's how much it cost to get it fixed. Same price as last year. No discount no concern about what we had spent 12 months and 28 days ago. Last year we spent over $1,400 because we had the damper and new door seal. My point is they should have done something more than tell me it was a new problem. Just bad customer service. I don't think if you pay for something that's close to the warranty date they should at least give a deep discount or charge for labor only. Something could have been done . Very poor customer service. I would highly recommend you have someone else do your work for you. These guys lied to us and then wanted to charge us as if it was a brand new problem. When we called Conner's Appliance about repairing our oven, we were able to have the repair done the next Friday. Yesterday we were told during what window of time someone would be here, today, and were contacted right before they were heading our way. My husband and I were both home when the two repairmen came. When we heard one say that it was the igniter, we envisioned the igniter floating on a ship out in the Pacific someplace but they had the part right their in their truck. I received great service from this company, my GE gas oven wasn't working properly, heat was uneven with food getting burned. I did a google search and came across Conner's. I was able to get an appt that worked with my schedule and wasn't too far out. The tech (Jessie) called me and arrived within the time period I was given. He was great, really thorough, tested everything and explained what he was doing and showed me the part that needed to be replaced. He was able to replace it right then and there and showed us that the oven was now working the way it should have been. Haven't burned anything since! I made the mistake of waiting until I had two different issues (fridge drain hose clogged, upper oven not heating up) thinking I'd get more bang for the buck for a service call to Carmel Valley. Instead, I feel like got double charged ($364 in total) for a 2 hour visit to unclog the drain hose and give me an estimate on the oven parts. That basically comes out to $182/hour. Highway robbery. The technicians know what they are doing here, which is great. But their pricing is not transparent at all, and it is illogical on top of that. I cannot recommend them and won't do business with them again. read more
