The pay-at-the-pump CC price was $5.65 a gallon which (unfortunately) was much lower than the others in the area. We stopped by before 07:00, beating the rush that other reviewers warned about. And they are correct, the entrance/exit is awkward and its not easy to get in/out (especially since the hoses are not the long variety, forcing you to park on the same side as your gas tank). read more

I'm only giving this place a 4* due to the excellent gas prices, the upgraded pumps, and the awesome customer service. A few tips to make your experience better: -Get here early. Do not try this gas station after 10am on the weekends. There will be swarms of cars trying to get to the pump, and the whole gas station will be congested due to its small size. -Watch the corners. Getting your car near the pump is going to be a challenge if you have anything larger than a mini SUV. You'll need some skill and must know your car length to really fit and get out without screaming profanities. -How to get in. There are three entrances that also act as exits. There are no arrows that direct traffic so people tend to get in wherever they can. I prefer entering on the east corner (widest but you're going to cross a double yellow) but the south entrances can work too, if no one else is blocking you. read more

It's a dumpy gas station on a well-trafficked strip in Monterey that's in the locals' part of town. The gas prices weren't great. Had I seen the Union 76 just down the road I would've pulled in there. They didn't even have a squeegee and a bucket of soapy water to clean your windshield. Cheap gas, and a friendly helper. The older man is a great cashier. After having problem at the pump with credit card, we kindly help me out. It reminded me of a small town gas station. This gas station is a little cramped , so be careful and do not pull into the middle pumps. There is clearly not enough room for two mid size cars to park and get gas. I'm sure this place has great gas, but they do not have a customer bathroom, and although the female cashier was very nice, and friendly, I went to grab a cup of coffee and there was hardly any coffee made, and there were ants crawling all over the sugar, creamer and the counter. I'd give 5 stars, but the last two times I have come here, my friend and I received hard stare downs from your large female employee. We do not know her, and have no idea what her problem is. We're always friendly as both of us are in customer service. She should be cautious of who she gives nasty looks to without knowing who they are. I handle situations like that with street justice. This is the only fueling station on the Monterey Peninsula that offers biodiesel. They offer a B20 blend currently provided by AGRON Bioenergy out of Watsonville. Have been buying B20 biodiesel at this station for the past 5 years and recommend. read more
