This place is awful. Not only are they seriously lacking in all kinds of different products, the ones they sell you look like they've already been used inside! Gross! I did an exchange here, and didn't like the product that I got the second time, so then I came to just do a return and NEVER look back. They only gave me my money back for the price difference of the exchange, not the full refund for what I paid for. When I tried to explain the very simple math, the cashier tried to make me feel like I was the stupid one. So they basically scammed me $10 and I walked away with nothing but flaky skin. I was charged $24 for a product that was $8 regular priced online... when I pulled it up on my phone and brought up how I have never bought the product for that much she wouldn't let me return it or even just get a price match even though I hadn't even left the parking lot. I had a good lesson in always checking my receipt to make sure everything is right. I visited a couple of days ago and purchased 7 items. I was leaving the store and looked at my receipt and saw an extra charge for an item I never picked up and didn't have in my hands. I went back in literally 2 minutes after exiting the store and asked the same store attendant who had rung me up to fix my receipt. Apparently the charge was for an item that was for a promo item that was displayed in a box on the counter. I'd like to think it was a mistake but makes me think twice after the store attendant never apologized for it. Sketchy. Like do they have to move a certain amount of promo product? I absolutely loved the products that you recommended to me. I just finished putting them on my hair and I think I have 2 new favorite products: the iroiro red dye and the placenta leave in conditioner. I am so happy that you were working today, because I love my hair and wouldn't have purchased either of these products if it wasn't for you. I have been to the store many times with my spouse. Yes, I can understand some of the aspects of other people's not as flattering reviews but I can't fully agree either. What we go there for is the excellent choice of personal care products at acceptable prices. Even men can find many of the items they may be looking for, including some that are not easily found elswhere. It is true that some of the staff's skills of interacting with customers a bit indifferent on the surface but if you talk to them and as questions, they are very willing to help you thus I cannot complain. I don't forget that many of the products sold there are directly related to our own superficiality of how we look and want to represent ourselves so I do expect an environment that is related to that. read more

I was in Sally's - one of the employees was very helpful- she left on break. Then that left JESSICA. She was extremely condescending from the get go. Then I go to register and she is just leaving the register (w/nail polish to put back). I said "I am all set when you're". Thinking that customers should come before restocking nail polish- however she proceeds to go and stock the shelf - I waited for a good 3-5 mins. I said to her "you know I do need to get going" she replies in a condescending manner "yeah ok, I will be there in a minute" continues to stock. I could go on. The staff can be hit or miss here. Some are super helpful and others could care less. I love their nail polish selection and the it generic products are so good, I haven't bought another brand in years. This 5 star rating is specifically for a young lady who works at Sallys Beauty Supply by the name of Crystal. She was simply amazing. I cannot even express how happy of a customer I am. I went into Sallys on 8/11/14 because of a horrible hair coloring accident i had. I had a full head of highlights and I wanted to go darker because I felt the blonde washed me out. Anyways i went in there one time to ask for advice of how ro go darker and I had a diff. Girl help me named Jessica about a week prior. She was nice but didnt really sound like she knew what she was talking about. She sounded nervous but I took her advice anyways cause hey what do i knw...I know nothing about coloring hair ao I took a chance. I did t EVERYTHING she told me to do and the aftermath was disappointing. My hair was greeeennn!!!! :( So I went into Sallys the 2nd time and that's when I met Crystal. Super friendly with the most impeccable customer service skills. She assisted me right away and she showed me everything I needed to obtain that true rich Chocolate Brown I attempted to get there first time. She showed me which product would work best for me as well as how to mix and apply and how long to leave it for. She made me feel so comfortable and gives u the feeling that she truly knows what she's talking about and you can tell Thats whrre her heart is. I dont mean to rant but I absolutely love Crystal and my hair turned out perfect. I cant wait to go back and show her the result! I love Crystal and her astounding service. With the other reviews I have read I was hesitant to visit this store but I was in dire need to dye my hair and I didn't want to drive 30 minutes to another Sally's. So I decided to go ahead and see how "terrible" this place really was. I walk in and I was not greated which is not a big deal; it's not a 5 star hotel so I don't expect anything big. I notice two ladies working in the back and I know they see me. Still no "Hello!" Or "can I help you with anything?" So that's a thumbs down on customer service there. I did have questions, so I asked for help. When I asked she was very nice and knowledgeable (I didn't catch her name). When I was ready to check out, she was pretty attentive. Asked if I wanted a mask for my hair and was really thorough and explained the Sally's rewards when I asked to sign up. Overall, my experience was decent. I would go back. I think they just need to be better about welcoming the customers and being tentative to the consumers. read more
