0/10 AGAIN !!! this is my second time at this location and nothing has improved . i decided to give it a second chance but no, their customer service is TERRIBLE ! if you don't like talking to people then don't work in a retail nor a customer service job . the moment i stepped into this store the vibes were horrid . this time i came with my niece in a stroller, this employee (1) gave us the nastiest look and barely moved when i said excuse me . then once we got all our products i browsed with the baby and employee (1) purposely went in front of us and didn't even say excused me, just pushed us out of the aisle even though the aisles are double sided and she could've gone the other way, then employee (2) came up to us "can i help you find anything?" and i asked for a frosted lipstick and she looked at me like i just asked her to give me all her money and shoes ??? then turned away and said into their walkie talkie thing saying "hey team do we know of any frosted lipsticks ?" then turned to me and said no . i said "okay that's fine" and walked away . at the register the employees were looking at us like we were gonna steal all their products and sell them outside or something ?? we spent 100+ there why would we steal ? we don't even look scary so why do these employees think they can judge people for buying makeup at a makeup store ??? absolutely horrified and disgusted at the actions of the employees at this location . nothing changed for the better and nothing ever will . read more

I do most of my Sephora shopping online b/c whenever I go into a store: 1. It's rare to find what I'm looking for (not in stock and if there's one left, it's been tampered with) 2. the demo samples on palettes look gross 3. it's hard to get any help b/c there's no one to ask The first two are still true however Summer was a delight. The store was busy and she was busy but she still asked me if I needed some help. I asked to be color matched and she told me to give her a few minutes. She came back and told me she wasn't a makeup specialist but would do her best. I guess the person whose job this was didn't show or something. I appreciated her willingness to help and was impressed by how well she spoke Spanish. She shared that she wanted to learn and it helps w/the Spanish-speaking customers. read more

So I came in to return a faulty perfume bottle. It stopped spraying on the 2nd use...would have kept the bottle if I had access to the perfume somehow. Unfortunately, my return date was a couple days late due to being out of town. The gal at the counter wouldn't replace, but manager standing right there... in a condescending tone said that she would make an exception this one time. We can't do that for every customer. I love coming to this Sephora! There is always someone available to help when I need it, while being able to shop comfortably. The store and testers are clean, and they are more than happy to help you try on products and sanitize everything before trying it on. One day I went in and they made a new tester for me because the one on the floor didn't look clean enough to use. I really appreciate the consideration! 10/10 read more

I'm very disappointed in how Sephora does business. I purchased a very expensive beauty product only to discover it was not the right fit for me. I unfortunately waited too long to get my money back and was given store credit. I Recently wanted to make an online purchase through Sephora using my store credit but couldn't. When I called I asked if they could help me and they wouldn't. So essentially my store credit is useless if I can't purchase items that i actually want. This is bad business. read more

The employees here have always been wonderful.. yes there is high turnover as others mention in their reviews but everyone for the most part is always nice and tries to be as helpful as possible.. however, the new "manager" (tall, bald guy).. is so rude! Anytime you have a return or exchange to make he sounds SO irritated.. his tone instantly changes when you tell him you have a return and this has happened to me now at least 2-3x so it's not like he is having an "off day".. this is just how he is! sorry, sir.. not all products are going to work all the time! If you have read my reveiws, you know I love beer, oysters, good food and deals. I also love makeup! I toggle between Sephora and Ultra. Sephora is the cosmetic store which is at a higher level than Ulta. Higher in the sense of being a bit more fancy. A bit more expensive. But...Still, I love it! On a trip to Paris last year in October, pre-COVID of course, I discovered Forever Makeup. this is a brand only at Sephora. I love it! I was out of my setting powder and needed to restock. So, darn it, I was forced to drive to Del Monte Shopping Center and visit Sephora. Now, I have become quite good at knowing what looks good on me. I don't go into a makeup store for a makeover, but for a specific item I have used. I have had make overs before, of course, but if I don't like it, I don't buy the product. I have even said no to a make up girl once when she suggested a blush color I didn't agree with. I noticed that there are some 1 star reviews, but currently, during these pandemic times, I am so happy they are open and following COVID protocol. They count the number of clients allowed in the store and social distancing is encouraged. The customer service was super friendly as well too. There are even opportunities to try makeup using a plastic film to hold up to your skin. Like I said, I knew what I wanted and had hyper focus. Of course, black friday deals at the front of the door were irrestible. I purchased a palette from Naked Ur'ban Decay which was such a deal! I love palette's of eyeshadow. Being an 80's teenager, I love eyeshadow! I was thrilled with my purchase. It came with a fee bag of insider items. Well, not free of course, it required a minimum purchase of $50 or more. Which of course, I managed to do with some new soy cleanser. I am set to do my make up for New Years Eve now. Wait, no parties, it is COVID times. No worries, I will be ready! I used to really like coming here, but it seems as though the employment turnover is quite high. There are constantly new employees, which sometimes are not very helpful, or have pretty bad attitudes. For example, I went in today to make a return and was assisted by an older, bald, employee who was extremely rude, assuming, because I was making a return. Sephora has outstanding customer service and a very welcoming atmosphere. On a recent visit, I was assisted by associate, "Mayla", who answered a battery of questions for me about a new hair care product. Chelsea and Selena were absolutely wonderful! Chelsea helped me out for the beginning of my visit, with skin care. Then I needed help with hair recommendations and she radio for someone to help in the hair department. Which I 10000% appreciate! I was so happy to see her request someone who might have more experience or better insight on the hair products as we have such different hair. So rarely do I see this, some people recommend things so they don't seem unprepared but I much prefer someone acknowledging where they aren't as knowledgeable rather than fake it. They both had great insight but they were able to fill in where the other needed! Great duo of ladies! Selena was great! Very kind and thorough! They were both so kind and insightful! They do not care about their customers. I tried to exchange a faulty product and it was outside of the 60 day exchange window so they told me they can't help. As a regular and a Rouge customer, it doesn't feel good that they couldn't give me a working product instead and make the situation right for me. I know they don't care, but they lost a customer today. I will continue to shop at places like Lush where the service is top notch and genuine. I wish more retailers and employees cared about their customers! PS echoing what all the other reviews are saying. The older gentleman working there is so off putting and rude. The manager Corina is extremely rude and disrespectful. I needed assistance with my Sephora card and asked her some questions. I asked how to pay my Sephora card. She said "I don't know". I asked if there is a number she completely ignored me. There was another employee near her that helped me with a phone number to contact. I asked both of them if this is the number bc I have called a few numbers to pay off my card (I tried telling my experience). The manager Corina with no eye contact continued to go back to organizing. I got my card issue fixed. The next day I went back and waited in line and when it was my turn she walked away. Another employee noticed I was waiting and came to help me. I called corporate but be aware she should not be a manager, she should not be in a place of power, I can tell she is a bully and not a nice person, she should not be in customer service. read more

Chelsea, who was my cashier, had the most upbeat and positive attitude. She was kind enough to give me my points gift and also added a bunch of nice samples. She was such a gem. I was lucky enough to be helped by a lady (I think her name is Hunter) and she was super helpful and willing to look in the back for something that wasn't out on display. She started to color match me for a foundation and she was trying a lot of different shades, which was super appreciated. The store was clean (I give it that). However, when I asked the associate by the name of Corina for help (mind you I had a super simple question that would take 2 seconds to answer) she was extremely rude and gave attitude. She said she had to take something to the register and would come back. I told her it was a simple question and she walked off. Time went by and she NEVER returned to help. I had to seek someone else's help to answer my question. When I finally went to check out and process an exchange I had, Corina had to help me again. We did the exchange and at the end she just handed me the receipt and not the foundation I had JUST exchanged with her. I just looked at her and she ignored me so I had to grab the foundation she was trying to put away that was MINE. This is by far the worst Sephora I've ever been to. Every time I go in they are always out of stock of every single thing I'm trying to buy. When I go now I usually just check the app to see if what I want is available in store. One time I went in for two lipglosses that were in stock but no testers. The employee told me they were in the back and I could just order for in store pick up and come back. Why would I want to do that? I wanted to swatch them on my hand first to see if the color is how it appears online, and why would I waste my time and then have to come back?? Anyways, I visited the store again this morning, the store was quite dead with only a few customers inside and not once was I approached to ask if I needed help. I had to go out of my way to look for someone and ask about a few products that were not on the shelves but were in stock according to the online app. The employee didn't even bother to look in the back for me she just straight up said there was no more of EACH product I wanted. One of the products was a brown lip liner and she tries to show me the a Sephora brand lip liner that she said is a similar color however the color she was trying to sell me was bright RED.. what?? I will probably be shopping elsewhere where employees are more helpful and not colorblind, to top it off they also suck at color matching foundations. Better off driving to San Jose or just ordering online from home. Theres no way that the 6 different items I wanted to purchase today were ALL out of stock. They were most likely in the back and the lady just was too lazy to grab them for me, and I wasn't about to waste my time and "order pickup" just because of their laziness. I have been in this store multiple times, and every time, without fail, I am ignored. If you're not 15-21, be prepared to be completely disregarded. Not a single employee greeted me once in the store today, despite walking by at least 6 different employees. Not only is the service horrendous, but the selection leaves much to be desired. It's not much bigger than a Sephora at JC Penney. If you want to buy cosmetics or skin care, go to Macy's- and I hate Macy's, so that's really saying something. I will be contacting corporate about my experience at this store. In this competitive market, the management at this location is driving away customers who would happily drop some cash if they could just be treated civilly. read more

This store usually has everything you need. One thing I've noticed is if you a colored person you will be watched like a hawk at this store. I wanted to buy more then what I walked out with. But I felt so uncomfortable I just had to leave. Probably will never come again to this store. Stop discriminating and let customers shop in peace. For such a good selection, it's too bad that this Sephora not only has a space that's much too small, but terrible customer service. I went to go and look around, do my usual shopping trip, try on glosses etc (you know, the usual) but felt I was being watched the whole time. Which I was. I would literally swatch a foundation on the back of my hand and when I looked up one of the workers would be staring at me from behind a display, glaring at me and the moment I caught them she'd look away. I eventually decided I'd just grab my usual things as I was getting so uncomfortable, until my friend I was shopping with came up to me and whispered that she had heard two of the Sephora gals speaking of me over intercom and to "keep close watch" on me. I was so embarrassed and upset by then I put down everything and just left - were they racial profiling me? (I am latina) were they accusing me of shoplifting? Was it what I was wearing? All I know is, I will never be coming to this store again, neither will any of my friends and family here in Monterey. Sephora is one of my absolute favorite stores, and this was definitely a terrible experience. I highly suggest those who work there do something about their attitudes, because they stink. read more

If you are one who is overwhelmed with make up and what to choose this is the place to go. Sierra was amazing! She did a skin IQ test on me...it's free so they take a few pictures of your skin and it shows what kind of foundation is best for your skin type. Sierra was so patient...make up is overwhelming and there is so much to choose from. She helped from eye shadow to mascara and lipstick. You share what you like and then they do all the work. read more

I went into Sephora today looking to repurchase a new eye pencil that I truly enjoyed. When going into the store, I spoke to a manager about the eye pencil, and I received completely horrible rude service. The manager Amanda was completely rude and condescending towards me. While asking her about the product she looked at me irritated and rolled her eyes while I proceeded to explain the product. Than she proceeded to ask if I had a rewards account and I responded being unsure if I had or not and she basically said to me in a rude tone; in order to find what I wanted I had to have an account with them. Therefore she does not know what I want. From this conversation it made me truly uncomfortable and leaving dissatisfied with your company. Please note I have been a long time patronized of this establishment and spent thousands of dollars at this local facility over the years. As of today, I will no longer patronized nor recommend your store or your products. read more
