Went in to buy a new floral scent perfume. The girl working was very helpful and gave me a lot of recommendations for scent that I might like. I found two that I really liked but the price point for me was out of my budget. She let me take a picture if the perfume bottles to remember them and potentially come back. However I realized that those weren't the real prices of the perfumes. I searched online for them to see where I can buy them. Amazon has the "New brand princess dreaming" perfume for $11 instead of the $60 price point they have here. The floral perfume called "Blush" by Kenneth Cole was sold here for around $50-$60 when it reality its actually around $20. I happened to find the Blush by kenneth cole at Marshalls (8Fl oz bottle too and its the same one) for $6. Bought the New Brand princess perfume on amazon for $11 and both are very long lasting. Glad I didn't end up buying the perfumes at the store and didn't waste my money. read more

Perfumania has great prices and a good selection. Recent releases by designers are not available. For all of the nutty people out there, saying that these aren't real, you have no idea what real is. These are real. They are purchased from legitimate vendors, usually the manufacture itself. Perfumania owns many of the brands inside their four walls. They are one of the largest distributors and manufactures of fragrances in the US. Couple that with how ridiculous it would be to open a business counterfeiting, usually in major outlets in shopping centers. read more

I regret buying an expensive perfume from here yesterday. The box didn't have any seal wrapper on it, the salesman Hector claimed that the perfumes of this brand aren't sealed. It turned out to be a false statement when I looked up online afterwards. They also stamped on the receipt that perfumes of this brand aren't returnable. I was in a hurry so I didn't pay much attention. I most likely ended up with either a used or a fake item. read more

I came in with my fiancé and nephew and was immediateLy greeted. The gaL asked if we needed any heLp but I QuickLy decLined. They were very patient with us and I appreciated the fact that we did not receive any annoying stares as my nephew made his rounds and sampLed a bunch of scents just for the heck of it. This store has a vast cLearance & saLe seLection so if you're a baLLar on a budget- Look no further! The sheLves are fiLLed with discontinued fragrances that you can't seem to find anywhere eLse and the prices are better than another perfume kiosk that we visited within the maLL. That being said, the price tags seem a Lot higher than the norm but PERFUMANIA'S "saLes" heLp compensate. Minus one star because PERFUMANIA seems to speciaLize in the oLder, outdated scents. When I went to the ASICS shoe store next door, I made an impulse decision to go in and try a few spritzes of random fragrances. I wasn't really planning on buying anything. Then, I saw Blooming Bouquet by Miss Dior and I suddenly remembered that I wore it every day while I rented a house in Marin County when the pandemic started... the late home owner who passed away a few years ago, owned the perfume. Her partner of over 25 years, in his mid-seventies, gave me a tour of the house and randomly told me that I could wear as much of his late girlfriend's perfume as I wanted while I was renting the house, and added that no one had worn it for over three years... but that I couldn't take the bottle with me when I left. I respected that. The poor man couldn't wear her perfume but he wanted to hang on to the empty bottle and the memory of her. He missed her so much that he left her perfume right there on her dresser and no one had used it for three years. It brought tears to my eyes. I probably wouldn't have worn her perfume every day while hiking in Marin County...but it was there on her dresser and her partner had randomly brought up that I was welcome to wear it when he showed the house to me, so I sprayed some on daily. I bought Blooming Bouquet yesterday. Today, I randomly googled Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet to read more about the fragrance... and here is the official description: "Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is perfect for fun, adventurous women who enjoy the outdoors." Well, she did live in hiking paradise i.e. Marin County all her life, so yeah. The perfect floral spring time fragrance. My daughter was kind enough to buy me an expensive bottle of men's cologne from Perfumania for Christmas. Unfortunately, after one spray I knew it was a little too strong for me. She provided the receipt & on Dec 27th I tried to exchange it. Upon arriving the young woman behind the counter stated that since it original wrapping was removed they will not accept it back under any circumstances. I explained it was Christmas 2 days ago, and how is someone expected to know if it is right for them unless they smell it. I received an insincere "Sorry, I can't help you.". So I strongly wouldn't recommend this "business" to anyone. I'll be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint next. read more

Threat to call police on me when I tried to tell the African American lady and Assistant store manger to be polite to me on shift date Dec 15th 2021 @1:15pm Livermore outlets. I wanted to try some perfumes and African lady with bun shouted at me and asked me to leave the store when I complained to assistance store manager. She also refused me to gave her name as I wanted to complain to the leadership. In short- zero customer service and rude staff. I was never much of a perfume person, but when I was shopping with a friend during Christmas, there was a "buy 1 get one for $9.99" deal, so he bought one and told me I could get the $9.99 one. :P Since I'd never bought perfume before, I had no clue where to start. The woman that helped me out went off the one thing I said ("something fruity!"). She is absolutely amazing. She brought out all these different perfumes and had me try all of them. Coffee beans clear your nose. :O So you can sniff more! She did the same for my friend, and also suggested others that were semi-similar in terms of scent. She is awesome. I'd go back to buy stuff just to get customer service like that again. Which I did, but she was busy, but the guy that that was free was really helpful too. :] (5 stars for the service alone. This is the worst store with such arrogance.I bought Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc White Men's perfume from their online store, the moment i opened the pack i found that it was fake the cap color and bottle color was different. The bottle was in blueish white color and cap pure white. The cap didn't fit either. I am using this perfume since 2011.Went to their store to explain and showed them the original and the piece i bought they knew it was fake and started bluffing saying its a limited edition but not available in their online store. When i said i bought it online they changed argument and the lady said WHY ARE YOU BUYING IN PERFUMANIA WITH SUCH ARROGANCE AND THE STORE MANAGER HE WAS A COMPLETE LIAR.Since i opened the pack he said i used and trying to give it back, why would i do that if i like the perfume.The point is the bottle and cap are different and no designer brand does that.The perfume was deliver 10/12 evening and i went to store 10/13 evening. Customer service needs improvement. Went in with a few screenshots on perfumes I wanted to try. The Asian woman working on Tuesday afternoon seemed very uninterested in helping. I am not going to spend $$ on a perfume I haven't sampled first. I can't be the only one wanting to test out numerous perfumes to find the right one I want. Only one other person in the store besides me... not busy at all. Buyer Beware.. This perfume is watered down and does not last at all. Could not get a refund because I had used it, but how eles was I suppose to figure out that it was not working for me. My advice is this if you want to shop here... Have them test it on you, not the paper strip then leave the store. If you can still smell it on you 30 minutes later then you got lucky. If you can't, don't look back ( or go back and tell them that its no good.) With another 20-30$ added to what you might spend at Perfumania, go to a reputable deparment store and get a better quality product. I am now stuck with a 78$ bottle of lighly scented water. Yes I am a fan because of Nghi, she was amazing and well focused on my needs. I was there for specific perfumes and I bought two of the Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio, they were on sale. Do not shop here! During my visit, I was helped by one of the employees, whom was pretty helpful and attentive. I purchased my bottle of perfume and continued on with my shopping. Not even five stores away, I noticed another perfume store and decided to check out their prices. I figured the prices would be comparable, but I wasn't in any rush. To my surprise, the guy offered me a bigger bottle of the same perfume for a few dollars less than the bottle I had JUST purchased minutes before at Pefumania. I decided to head back to Perfumania to return the bottle I had just purchased and was told by the employee that had just helped me that they do not accept returns: No one told me about this policy. I asked to speak to the manager, thinking that either they could reduce the price of the bottle I had just purchased or just cancel the transaction altogether since I literally just had walked out of the store. Boy, was I wrong. The manager was rude, telling me that the perfume across the way was probably an imposter. This piece of advice was all she could offer me. I asked if she could at least reduce the price. She flat out said no. I asked if her if should just cancel the transaction--nope again. I told her that I felt like I had just gotten ripped off. She didn't care. Apparently, there isn't any difference between the managers and employees here. It seems they both have the same level of authority. The only difference is that, at least, the employee looked uncomfortable, as if she knew her manager was totally in the wrong. With this type of customer service, this store won't last long. If they're willing to sacrifice a lifetime of business because they are unwilling to match a deal or return an item because their customer found a better deal, well, they might as well shut their doors now. The manager even scoffed at us by saying the store did us a favor by giving us a discount (that was advertised on the sign outside and given to everyone!). Never coming here again. They have some seriously good deals on perfume at this store. I'm not sure why, but I always assumed that Perfumania only sold older discontinued scents. Imagine my surprise when I went in and saw that just about everything Macy's/Nordies sells Perfumania has as well and at a serious discount if you take advantage of the buy one get the second bottle for $9.99 sale they're running. I purchased a bottle of auntie's favorite Bulgari for Christmas, and was able to get a bottle of Juicy Couture for myself for just $9.99...sweet! read more

The old lady was very rude and not helpful until I told her I wanted to buy 2. She let me smell the samples for the top 5 colognes but had this look on her face like she had something better to do. She also tried to get me to buy the gift wrapping paper/bag and their travel size perfume bottle too. Lucky they had a good deal going on (Buy one get 2nd 50% off). I bought a perfume by Lancome at Perfumania. My first time at Perfumania. I always buy my perfume at department stores. I was excited to wear it. It was almost $80.00. Guess what? The perfume has zero longevity. That means you yourself cannot smell it after 30 minutes. And the perfume I know has great reviews of longevity up to 8 hours and projection is awesome. People would complement you stop you, follow you. Those are the reviews. The perfume from Perfumania didn't do any of those. I had to ask people, my family, co workers if they smelled me. Everyone said they couldn't smell anything. I know the performance of this perfume by Lancome because I tried it over and over at the department store. Never ever will I buy from this store anymore.
