I came to this Walgreens for my booster in the hopes of a better staff than our usual one in Covina. The pharmacist is completely without a personality and customer service. My appointment was at 5:30pm and was given my shot at 5:55pm. No apologies for being late. My wife had an appointment right after mine and walked out because the pharmacist was so rude. I will call the corporate office and let them know about my experience but I doubt they care given all the negative reviews. read more

I had an appointment I made through the app for 11:15 for a flu shot. It's 11:30 and I now have the time to write a review since I'm just waiting. I get that they have prescriptions to fill, but when someone with an appointment comes in during COVID, they really should give us priority since we are waiting inside and time is a factor in the transmission of COVID-19. I feel pharmacies have a responsibility to help keep the community safe. Also, as noted in other reviews (that I've had the time to read during my now 20 minutes of waiting) the technician doesn't seem to know what she's doing. Also, she's not wearing her mask properly. The worst service I have ever had at a pharmacy. Immediately switched to CVS and I'm much happier. They didn't have my medication and didn't notify me about that. Then they notified me my prescription was ready... I went to pick it up and she said that they never sent that. I showed her the text they sent me and she said oh well we don't have it. We're out of stock for the next month... Like really? Get your act together Walgreens. I thought the one in Pomona was terrible, but this one is by far the worst. The absolute worst pharmacy in the area. They are rude, incompetent and take forever only to be told to come back because prescriptions aren't ready. I have had more issues at this Walgreens than I can even count. They lie about calling the doctor for refills causing DAYS delay in necessary medications, they misread a dosage amount on a prescription and gave my daughter 10x the amount she was supposed to receive and I was just told by the pharmacy that my doctor told him something completely different than what they told me. This is MY Walgreens and I love all the girls who work in there. They all recognize me because I'm in there A LOT. They are so sweet and helpful, asking if you need help in a genuinely interested manner, and not stalky at all. I like that. This way, I can browse to my heart's content. I admit, with all the business in life, sometimes I seek the refuge of Walgreens, to peruse the aisles, try lipstick colors, and think about trying a new haircolor. The pharmacy technicians at this location have no idea how to do their job. We use this pharmacy as our primary because it is closest to where we frequent. But in 3 years, with over 4 dozen prescriptions for our family, they've never provided us with excellent service. They've never once been able to think clearly or have logical reasoning behind any of their actions. If they're out of a prescription, they do not notify the customer. Even in emergency situations, when an infant needs specific medications within hours, they still can not figure out how to do their job. The staff here needs a 100% overhaul. No masks are apparently ok! Went in to get my husbands items he needed for upcoming surgery and a woman was paying at the register right before us. She had no mask on and took for ever to pay and the cashier never once told her to put her mask on. Not just here but at every surrounding store, I'm seeing the same thing over and over and over again: it's like employees pretend to not notice the missing mask or are afraid to even say something. It really irritates me because I follow the protocol just like we all should. Thanks to the careless, we will unfortunately have The Covid virus around longer than what we thought. I also work in glendora and have to wear the mask and I also offer masks to my customers and I'm nice and understanding when people realize they forgot their mask but not saying anything is what bothers me most. It's up to the business to enforce it or people should not be aloud to conduct business. No one is exempt. read more

I'm told and confirmed my prescriptions were ready. Walgreens told me 'no". My usual pharmacy had closed. I now remember why I originally changed from this Walgreens It's obvious that this pharmacy believes their employees graduated from a medical school, since they believe they can override a doctors order. Every time i come here the wait for prescriptions is AT LEAST 40 min. Whether you're in your car or inside waiting in line, expect to be here for a while because they always only have one person behind the counter. With 5 cars lined up outside and the line going all the way down the aisle inside you would think they get more people to help out but they don't. 5 star service for the young lady that helped me out yesterday. I stopped in to by kids toothpaste and mouthwash for my niece. When I got to the register, the young lady mentioned that there was kids mouth wash on clearance. She proceeded to run back to the clearance section and find a Frozen one that a 6 year old girl would enjoy. I saved around $2 but gained an appreciation for the excellent customer service. I come here mainly to pick up pictures I order from snapfish...well everytime I come, they always take forever to help me. I don't go there to look around, just want to pick up my pictures!! They see ne standing there and no one helps me...so I go and ask for help and they take a while before they come to help me!!! I think I will try a different Walgreens! Stay away from this pharmacy it's the worst . I usually don't go here but I was prescribed a medication later on a Saturday so I called around and asked them if they had enough tabs for 8 days worth in which they told me no but they do have strips that are the same that they would have enough of but I would have to call the dr and have her change the prescription to the strips. So I call my dr and have her switch it for them. I get her ten mins later and a different person tell me they don't have the strips but they have enough of the tabs. I was like are you kidding me . They said you have to have the dr switch it back to the tabs . I was so mad at this point . So I call my dr again and have her switch it back. I have been here for thirty mins at this point . I checked a few times if they got it and they were saying no which I know wasn't true because I had gotten a text that the dr sent it . A total of an hour and 20 mins later almost at closing they call me up and say sorry we can give to you till tomorrow because you got some three days ago. I was like yeah and I'll be out tonight and have none for the morning which my dr prescribed . They refused and I told them if you knew this an hour and twenty mins ago why didn't you tell me then instead of wasting my time?! Then I go to pick it up the next day and they tell me they don't accept my insurance. They would have known that yesterday. All around so rude and unprofessional!! read more

I went in there yesterday to buy my son some medicine for his foot. On my way out , I saw a Jack Skellington plush in their Halloween department. I had only brought enough money for the medicine, so I asked them if they could please hold it. The young man so no problem! I came back a few minutes later, and they had sold it. I was so upset, because it was the last one and I really wanted it. They should have never said they'd hold it, if they were just going to turn around and sell it. To top it all off, they were rude. When I told them it was suppose to be held for me, they said things like "Sorry I know nothing". It was a bad visit! Customer service should be number one! Do not get your prescription filled here! The pharmacists here make up their own rules on why not to fill your prescriptions. I have a prescription I get filled every month and pharmacist Paul would not fill it stating that 1 I did not live in the area even though I work down the street and 2 the prescribing dr was 20 mins away (fullerton). Mind you I've filled this prescription for almost a year now and never had issues. And there is no state or federal law regarding any residency requirements to fill a prescription this was his own ruling/refusal. He didn't even call me to tell me that there would be a delay. Paul was completely rude and passed the buck to the manager who couldn't do anything. I am going to be filing a ethical violation and consumer compliant because the pharmacist refused to fill my prescription based on opinion rather than federal or state law because he could not give me any to reference or look up. The customer service here is absolutely horrible, please go somewhere else. As a consumer save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Go where you are valued as a customer and cared about. This is not the place for that. You don't want to be denied a prescription being filled god forbid if you have a life threatening disease. read more

I had to travel suddenly to Glendora to help with a family medical issue and did not have enough of my medications with me. I was out of town prior to coming to LA and only had a 7 day supply of my medicines, which ran out today. My husband checked and found they could get them for me at the local Walgreens. While waiting for insurance to be renewed, read several reviews saying this Walgreens had poor customer service. Would like to say this was NOT my experience. They were very patient, looked up my prescriptions from my Oregon Walgreens, got insurance approval and will have my medications ready in 45 minutes. My mother uses this Walgreens all the time and is very happy with them. The pharmacy gave me excellent service today. read more

This Walgreens was great, at one point. I don't normally leave comments but after a few times of having to come back because my prescription wasn't ready (even after I called and spoke to someone and they said it would be ready in x amount of minutes), I felt the need to express my opinion. Over the past few months, the wait to get our prescriptions has been ridiculous. I've had to wait over a week to get some of our medications. They blame it on "needing an approval from my doctor" to refill. I called my doctor on Monday and they said they already submitted the approval to refill and today is Friday! Really? Now they're saying they have to wait until Monday to contact my doctor. SMH and this is medication my son needs if he has an asthma attack! I asked the pharmacist what am I going to do if my son needs his inhale? She said take him to urgent care and they will write him a prescription. Really? I called in to have his inhaler refilled over a week ago and your telling me to go pay $50 to get a prescription at urgent care (don't get me wrong, I'd do it if I had to) but because you failed to keep up with your job, I'd have to go that route. This is on behalf of how my mom was treated over the phone. We have been calling today trying to get her prescription filled because she's nearly bedridden. We've already talked to 3 pharmacies over the phone, and they've all been saying they would need to order it. We've been calling to see who can fill it the fastest. Whomever my mom spoke to said that because it's a narcotic they wouldn't even check, and that if she called any other pharmacy they would say the same exact thing. Hm... Clearly not the case.
