Last time I asked to get it at the Glendora Walgreens since san dimas was out and the glendora pharmacist did not explain that my sons med needed to be given diluted. Neither the tech or pharmacist made eye contact with ne thru the glass window.. so I wont be doing that again...so I hope we dont run out. I was bringing in my FedEx packages when a store employee just yelled "we're full, not taking any more packages!" and I'm sure she's had to say that multiple times because she seemed rightfully exasperated. Management could perhaps spare the employees the hassle of having to repeat themselves over and over by simply putting a sign outside. These poor employees have to deal with customers in-store, they shouldn't have to deal with so many other tasks. I appreciate the employees but I don't like how management burdens them with so many roles. read more

I have clients who are related and have the same name, sometimes it can get a big confusing sorting out delivered and picked up meds between 3 caregivers. But I received rude reaponses at first from employees who wouldn't listen to my concern for the confusion: however, I waited a few days and talked to JJ who helped me and answered all my questions and sort out the confusion. It really wasn't that difficult, but most of the female pharmacy techs aren't willing to clarify and always seemed like they were being inconvenienced by customer concerns. This is the absolute worse pharmacy I've ever dealt with. It is near impossible to get a same day order filled with the ordered quantity. Over the past month I've had to wait 5 days for things like antibiotics for my toddler that was only partially filled. Motrin took almost a week. I called yesterday 7 times only to be placed on hold indefinitely or hung up on. The female pharmacist is an absolute nightmare to have to speak to once you do get through. read more

Walgreens pharmacy needs better communication between local branches. I went to the San Dimas location and they told me my children's prescription was at this Glendora location. So I drove to the Glendora location just to find out they are saying it's at the San Dimas location. They told me to call San Dimas. I called San Dimas (45 min wait) and they no say they don't see any prescription. I try and get clarification from the Glendora pharmacist and I get nothing but attitude. I dropped off my son's prescription at 2:30pm for eye drops and antiviral medication. This was not a routine refill -- he had painful blisters on his nose and near the corner of his eye, and the medication was urgent. After waiting anxiously for hours with no update, I tried calling the pharmacy at 6:00pm, but after spending 15 minutes stuck in the automated system, I was unable to speak to anyone. I called again at 7:00pm, waited about 10 minutes on hold, and finally reached a staff member who was polite and said he would "bump it up" and that it would be ready within 30 minutes. I arrived at 7:30pm, waited again, and eventually received the medication -- five hours after drop-off, and only after calling to push it through. While the staff was courteous, this situation is unacceptable. They should seriously look into fixing this process for patients. I understand delays for routine or recurring prescriptions, but when it comes to an urgent prescription, especially antiviral medication, delays like this are extremely frustrating and cause unnecessary stress for families. Apparently they were not only short staffed by their alert system was not working so they didn't know I was outside until I actually called. Tucked away in a mini shopping center. Nice area. I used the drive up pharmacy option. I was greeted promptly and professionally by JJ. I was told by the automated system that my prescription was ready. There was a problem with the coding for the pharmacist to release my medication to me. JJ said he would call my doctor and get back to me asap. He did!!!! My medication was ready within the hour. They never answer their phone. I tried to get a refill and I couldn't do it because I was on hold for over half an hr and no one ever answer and I eventually gave up. Please answer your calls, sometimes it's an emergency. My son has bad asthma and was extremely wheezy and all his inhalers ran out and no one answered me. absolutely horrific experiences i've been attempting to use this pharmacy for about four months now and every time I go to pick up my medication it's delayed or never ready and I always have to wait for two hours to get my medication not come here. Do not use the drive-through. Nothing is better you end up waiting no matter what you do. It's always backed up and no one has ever helpful or cares about getting you your medication. If I could give zero stars I would. This is strictly for the pharmacy. Meds are never ready even after receiving a phone call AND text message that they are ready. Lines take FOREVER whether inside or drive thru. Staff can never find the meds or they need to redo the prescription asking you to come back in 20 minutes and when you do the meds are still not ready and no one knows seems to know anything about anything. Getting prescriptions filled shouldn't be this difficult! First of all, the Pharmacy is always understaffed and on many occasions the pharmacy staff is rude. I have caught them in so many lies regarding why my Rx order didn't go through or ready. Their refill system rarely works right and requires you to call and speak to a staff member in order for the order to go thru. Perhaps the most frustrating part is they won't call your doctor's office to get you refills. Their system supposedly sends some type of fax which the doctors' offices rarely see. It is difficult for me to have to call my doctors office and Walgreens multiple times just to get a refill. I work a very busy job which doesn't always allow me the time to make multiple calls every month in order to get my medicine. I'm switching fo CVS. read more

I just picked up a package for the first time here from Fed Ex. The wonderful cashier helped me BUT WHY DID JESSE TELL HER TO PICK UP THE BOX?! I hope you dont expect me to carry the package! I wont accept that , it was 18 pounds and the size of a small carry on. Fed Ex gives Walgreens first listing for all packages under 150 lbs. Not Service Dog Friendly! I was in yesterday as I often do at this location with my dog at my side. I have never had any issue with my dog in this store until yesterday. First off the young gentleman who checked me out when the older lady stepped back from the counter need a bit of training. He started the conversation off on the wrong foot by first saying my dog was not allowed in the store. Based on our discussion his definition of a service dog is a dog with a vest. Here is just my last 7 days: **Last Sat - went to pick up an Rx I ordered 4 days earlier. There were 6 people inside in line, 7 cars in the drive-thru. After a 45 min wait, they only had one of my meds Their system said both were ready. **Went yesterday to pick up 2 Rx's. 7 people in line inside, 9 cars in line outside **Went twice today, 7-9 cars outside and 7-8 people in line inside both times. Walgreens has been a lifesaver for those looking for a booster shot. More specifically, if you have completed the 2-shot series from Pfizer, you would ideally want your 3rd injection to be from the same manufacturer as well. (In fact, with the mix-and-match approach, now recommended by the medical field authoritative figures, I still personally think the Pfizer brand provides the best set of benefits.) In any case, my family is determined to keep all their vaccines intake the same from start to finish, and it's been difficult to find any appointment with Pfizer vaccine at CVS/Target pharmacy. For whatever reason, any chain/location/branch from CVS/Target only stocks Moderna. One would imagine the largest retail pharmacy giant would carry the most "popular" option, so to speak, but well, not true. Walgreens, however, has plenty of appointments available, and many of them is next-day even! (The online booking system is also very easy to use.) I wasn't able to book a time slot for my parents at the nearest distance, not even the same city, even; but within reasonable driving distance, there is plenty of other selections wide available. San Dimas it is, then. It isn't that far. Overall, I am so glad I did not limit myself to just a CVS search. Walgreens made this overall process so much easier! On the actual day of vaccination, however, it was less convenient than imagined. It doesn't matter if you check in on time, or even early as they recommend. It's going to take at least one hour for you to complete the entire visit, from walking in, checking in, filling out the questionnaire waiting, waiting, and waiting some more, and finally getting the shot. The store was kind of blasting the AC a bit for the day. I felt a bit cold. Be sure to dress appropriately, bring a jacket, and layer on according. Don't get sick from the cold temperature now, especially when you'll be waiting for a good while. The shot itself took no time at all. The pharmacist who administered the vaccine was professional. It was the staff's other duties, such as filling prescriptions, answering phone calls, that would deter you from instant, or even, reasonably prompt, service. If you have booked the time slot of 10 am, don't expect to walk in and leave within matters of 15 or 20 minutes. Best to block out the entire hour (say, 10 to 11 am), and not schedule anything important or urgent before or after. This store also offers a general selection of merchandise, and it's quite big and spacious. I don't shop at pharmacies often, but if you need to find some Christmas decorations in a pinch, I saw a whole aisle of holidays related items. Candies, too. I would rate this store 3 stars for being all right. The wait was way too long to warrant any higher. But thank you, Walgreens, nonetheless. You were most helpful in a time of need. read more

Went for my covid booster today,don't go there. Here's why,had a appointment @1p arrived 15 minutes with consent in hand. Had to again sign the consent once there. Still waited 45 minutes with 1 person ahead of me. The wait was explained as having to "prepare " the vaccine. You mean pull from a vial which takes seconds. In the meantime several workers left for break. Walgreens if your going to do vaccinations have a designated person for that or don't have appointments during lunch time. JUST SAYING read more

Had to take my elderly mother she was looking for an eyelash curler and eyebrow tweezers. She found some at Walmart but the quality was bad. There was a young gentleman putting up labels I believe it was josh but he's the inventory specialist. So when we asked if he might know where these items were he actually took us over to the items and area. Then my mother asked him about clear nail polish found that as well. Last but least cleaning pads for her face. I want to thank this young man for going beyond his duties at Walgreens. But the way the big box stores have changed the way they assist customers which is actually null. It's nice to know the smaller chains are doing better I will definitely be getting Walgreens more of my money than Walmart in the near future. Not sure why they cant staff properly in their pharmacy. Long wait times when you are there and do not bother to call if you need to talk to someone: You'll be put on permanent hold. Even when they system tells you there is only one other caller in line in front of you they don't pick up. Is there no quality assurance checking for this company?? And then to make things worse when you're on hold for 38 minutes you get hung up on. Super fun times. If anybody is listening to these bad reviews from Walgreens you need to staff your pharmacies properly. It's not fair to your staff members and it's not fair to your customers. Amazing Walgreens! The customer service is amazing , they re did my order no problems no issues ! No questions asked. The manager Tom has the staff trained to a tee! The photo specialist Josh is amazing and very thorough with every order and he makes sure everything is done right ! Jessica the front register lady was very nice as well and always had a smile on her face! I will definitely come back to this store ! You won't be disappointed! This pharmacy is never fully staffed and takes hours to get a prescription filled. I have even said I would come back the next day when they say it is going to be ready in an estimated time. When I go back the next day it is still not ready. Time to look for a new pharmacy. read more

This place has gone downhill in the last year. The pharmacist and technicians regularly lie to customers to avoid doing work. As a company, Walgreens has established policies that make it difficult for you to get your medicine in a timely manner, causing delay in your care and health. They will refuse to give you medicine on a particular day, even though your dr and insurance will approve of you getting it. Stay away from this pharmacy if you can. read more
