My experience in the store is great with no problems, but like the other reviews here, this is for the Walgreen's Pharmacy only. There are some serious problems there. It's the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced by a landslide. Nearly every time time I go, there is some issue. For over a year, I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt, but at this point, it's clear that this. is. not. a. good. pharmacy. Run to another option, don't walk, so you can avoid the various challenges that continually make it difficult to fulfill health needs here. One time I was in an urgent situation. My doctor called in a prescription. I called and waited for over 20 minutes and couldn't get through. By that time, I had arrived to the pharmacy, as I needed the prescription urgently. At the counter, talking with the girl was especially difficult. The conversation was very clunky, and I wasn't assured that she knew protocols well. She tried to find my prescription to no avail. She later realized that she did not know that my doctor would have emailed or faxed the prescription. She had only checked the phone lines. She told me it would be an additional 35-minute wait to now get it filled. When I went back 35 minutes later, she said, "Oh! I'm sorry, I haven't had a chance to get to it yet, but I will now. It will be another 20 minutes." When I came back again 20 minutes later, she said, "Sorry! It was out of stock!" Recently, I called with a question and a girl answered the phone who again, just didn't really seem to know how things worked. She kept trying to put me on hold when I would ask for clarification about what she said. It was strange. She then finally put me on hold and I waited awhile. Then the phone started ringing and a guy picked up. He asked how he could help...I said, I don't know, I was just put on hold and suddenly you started talking. And then he said something like, "Oh, too bad, I can help you now." I said that I had just been in a lengthy conversation with another associate and that I didn't want to re-enter that situation from scratch. He kept talking over me, and giving those fake customer service apologies "I'm sorry you were on hold, but we're really busy, but I can help you now." 1. I didn't mention anything about being bothered about being put on hold. That's not the issue. 2. You know that's not the issue, which is what I already clearly stated, and that's that I should be re-directed the person working on my prescription. 3. Everyone's busy. Every pharmacy. They are all filling prescriptions. Just like you. But somehow, they don't operate as well as a wheel falling off a car. He kept trying to get me to repeat my situation instead of connecting me to the correct associate. He finally said, "Do you want me to go to each associate and ask them if they were talking to you?" I said, "As a customer, I don't feel comfortable telling you how to best operate the ship. I told you that someone is in the middle of helping me. It was a female. I told you what I thought her name was. How you go about re-connecting me is a ball that it's in your court." Imagine if I had cancer and was receiving really dreadful medicine that was already so emotionally draining to take...and then I have to interact with this staff who make an already difficult situation even more challenging. Super unfriendly service from the pharmacist! Will never shop at a Walgreens pharmacy again.

Beware of the pharmacy's advice. I got some half assed answer from a pharmacy technician there about combining the use of Zyrtec and Benedryl on a four year old. Before I finished my question she told me no. Then when I finished our background she said "Oh, well if they doctor said you can then you can" - my question was specifically how close together can they be given...her statement was that the Zyrtec stays in the system for 24 hours without variation of amount in the system - so it's just as strong at the time he takes it as it is 24 hours later...uh, I don't think so. Basically they are just throwing crap out there, perhaps the day crew is better but the night shift sucks, which I would think they would be equally important since many would resort to them for questions since they are *24* hours. I'm glad my little guy wasn't in more serious condition...so now I sit...waiting for the allergist to call back :( The store itself is nice, convenient and easy to pop in, get what you need and get out. The staff could take some lessons from the other stores in the shopping area as it is apparent they care less about being there or their clientele. read more

Be sure to check to make sure they cover your insurance before going through the hassle of trying to get your meds here. If you decide to use their online dealio, be sure to call to verify that they've received your info- they didn't receive mine and I went through a whole ordeal only to not receive my meds. They gave me a wrong prescription....as in, in my car driving away before I noticed that the name was different. Also refilled a prescription for a different dose than I was supposed to take. Horribly slow when they do give you the right meds. Staff appears to be lacking in knowledge and help. read more

I love this Walgreens. They are very friendly and VERY helpful. They even have an employee in the cosmetics department who will search for coupons when you check out. Only if you check out at the cosmetics desk though, so make sure to do that. Their return policy for cosmetics is great. If the color doesn't match or you simply don't like the item you bring it back. Keep the receipt and the packaging. They don't want you opening products to test them so they understand if you get it home, try it and hate it. People who are complaining about being ignored(at pharmacy)-- how do you know they aren't busy? You have no idea what they are doing, CHILL OUT. Do you really want them to rush filling someones prescription and mess it up? The world doesn't revolve around YOU. You are assuming they are ignoring you. Just because you drove up and can see them doesn't mean they don't have other orders in front of you or a million things to do. Try googling "why does my prescription take so long to fill?" I did one day while I was waiting. Maybe it will open your eyes a bit and see it from their perspective. If I were you I'd EXPECT to wait awhile. Then you won't be disappointed. This is not a drive through mcdonalds. They are handling very important medications and have a system in place to insure they don't screw things up. I used to go to Bartells down the road and they are WAAAY slower. Walgreens is by far the fastest drive through pharmacy I have used. So get over yourselves and chill out. No one is "ignoring" you. I love everyone here. I come in after work a few times a week and they are all super friendly and put up with my eccentric behavior after midnight. Sometimes I go in with my coworkers and we all act a little crazy but they never conplain. They recognize patterns with mmy purchases and engage in conversation during checkout. They are funny and nice even though I cannot make up my mind and talk to myself often. The night crew (11pm-1am) are amazing. I have never really been in any other time of day but I am sure the employees are just as nice. read more

Horrible experience. Never have your prescription there unless you are dying right by there. Over priced by 400%... you'll get $7 prescription (any other place) for $50 and they don't even have their customer service number handy. Takes ages to fill your prescription too. Just like seemingly every other Walgreens, this location has a ton of clutter, it's dirty, and frankly it just feels a little ghetto, which is strange because this is Issaquah. They peddle a ton of As-Seen-On-TV products on the end caps, their disposable razor refills are under lock-and-key, and it's next to near impossible to find actual health and beauty items without navigating through a mess of unrelated merchandise. The customers that frequent this location also rank up there as being some of the most "difficult" I've encountered - there are people that don't realize they need to pay and then fumble around for their cash or card, while others decide to buy various phone cards in different denominations, which make the cashier's life as well the lives of the patrons queued behind that much more difficult. In this day and age who is buying phone cards?! There are better choices - Fred Meyer, Bartell Drugs, etcetera. read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreens is an absolute joke. First they tell my husband it's over an hour and half wait, then when I call 2 hours later, it's still not ready and in order to speak to an actual person, I now sit on hold 15 minutes and counting. So to make use of my wasted time to find out what the heck is the hold up, I decided I'd spread the word and save others time and a huge headache. DO NOT fill your prescriptions here, it's never easy and I'd rather sit and wait at the social security office than deal with the pharmacy here. Wait 30 minutes to get prescription filled . Ask them if it's ready they tell you your insurance declined. They never asked for insurance I did not want use insurance anyhow .. now the wait to get it filled is another 40 minutes. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the majority of the other pharmacy reviewers. This Walgreens pharmacy is horrid. Customer service is nonexistent and they never meet the time they tell you it will take to fill your prescription. The worst of it all is that they couldn't care less. Tonight I go into Walgreens for a pain prescription because I have been coughing very hard from pneumonia and haven't been able to sleep more than a couple of hours at a time for the last 24 hours. I give the woman my script and she asks me about my address, if it's current. It's 7PM and she says it will be ready at 8:30PM. I say no problem and come back at 8:30PM. I walk up to the counter with no wait and give them my name. (new clerk btw) She asks if I have insurance and she sees it is a Costco RX card and she tells me she sorry but they do not accept Costco insurance. All she can say is she's sorry!? Her manager, a fat, short, grey balding, glasses, hiding his name tag, with a mustache of a manger is standing next to her as she says this. I know he is the manager because he is pulling tills to reconcile for the night. He doesn't even have the decency to look me in the face. Please do not give them your business!! Next the women says that she thinks Rite Aid takes Costco Insurance. I look at her with the look of stupidity because IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT at 8:30 PM. Lots of people at this point would loose it and say something sarcastic. Me, I just want every one in Issaquah to know and the district manager of Walgreens that the employees are incompetent there. read more

This one star is for their pharmacy. Even when the doctor calls in the prescription, it takes them another 35 minutes to fill it. This doesn't count the 30 minute wait to first talk to somebody or the 30 minute wait after returning to pick up the prescription. Greatly dissatisfied with the service. For having two drive up windows and a walk up within the store, they should be able to help more than one person at a time. read more

This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. Customer service is horrible! Lines at pharmacy are always long. I wish I had an hour and a half just to sit around the Walgreens and wait on my prescription to be filled however there are others of us who have Jobs as well. read more

I went to pick up my perscription from my Dr. Dropping off my perscription was not a problem, however when I went to pick it up different story. The pharmacist gave me my medication, I looked at it and noticed it was not what my Dr. wrote for me, however a generic subsitute. She quickly walked away, I had to ask another member to assist me. The employee stated it was Washington state law that they HAVE to switch it out! I asked where was that written, she said it wasn't, only online. I searched the website no info....I then called back and was hung up on 2 times. Finally got a hold of someone. When I presented the information that I was given an inferior product they started to tell me it was for my own good, to save me money. Just to let everyone know, pharmacists get bonuses for switching out to generics, if they hit 90% generic rate they get a huge bonus, if they are below they get in trouble. I told them I know this and why didnt they consult with me when switching out my persrciption. She said they dont have to tell the patient when given an inferior generic drug!!! The staff was rude, unprofesional and not very well trained. BTW the biggest Pharm. companies in the world are generics, they offer inferior products that are not equilvalent to branded. The pharmacy is trying to act like a DR! but a much less educated one. They also tried to qoute my wife the full retail cost of a branded drug, even though they had her ins. card in their hand! Pharmacist "you know this will cost you $300 dlrs right?" My wife "with my ins?" Pharmacy "oh....you want to use your ins??" wife "uh yes" pharmacy "oh then it will be $10dlrs" Shady shady, they are only out for themself!!!!!! Very unethical company. Our doctor called in a prescription to this pharmacy for my husband. I arrived at the drive through, waited for the car ahead of me, and was promptly helped. My prescription was ready and the pharmacist tech was very pleasant. I also went inside the store to buy some other items at a later date. The store was very clean and well stocked and the employees all smiled and greeted me. The check out time at the register was negligible, and the employee that rang up my items was also very pleasant. read more

I have an idea, instead of arguing with me about nuances with flavoring my child's prescription, just fill it and do your job? I'm shocked at the way this woman spoke with me. I understand that pharmacies can get really busy, but someone at this location needs to train their staff a bit more when it comes to finding a balance between being friendly and efficient. I was in a hurry which is not the pharmacy clerk's fault, however that is kind of why they have a drive through, right? Well, anyway, I was waiting in the drive through for my prescription and the clerk had sent a prescription to the gentleman in the car next to me. As far as I could tell the transaction was complete, but the gentleman who had just gotten his prescription wanted to go into a discussion about his latest hernia surgery. Now again, this is not the clerk's fault but instead of letting the gentleman know he had other customers to help the clerk let this guy go on and on about the details of his surgery. I used to work in retail so I know it can be tough to make those judgment calls, but I was sitting in my car for almost ten minutes. Then I realized if I didn't leave I'd be late so I just drove off without my prescription. This incident could have been prevented if the clerk had suggested that if the gentleman needed to talk to the pharmacist he could come in side or call, but he let the conversation go on. In addition to making me late some of the details were TMI so I was also very grossed out. I am sure that working in a pharmacy is stressful, but things like this have happened more than once to me at this location, so I felt the need to express my woes. read more

I would give this store 0 stars if that were possible. The moment I walked into this store I was profiled by the cashier at the front desk and told they have a no backpack or purse policy. I'm a grown white male and my wife, carrying a purse was told she would have to leave it with them or take it outside. He looked higher than the homeless man outside. I figured I would be better off leaving it on a curb. After taking the purse back out to the car we proceeded to the pharmacy to fill a prescription. After handing them the paperwork and having the doctor call it in they informed me an hour after waiting that they could not run it through my insurance because the system was down, You would think they would have informed me that 5 minutes into waiting. I will take all of my business elsewhere from now on as this store seems to have some sort of issue with anyone ranging from white to black skin. How sad that a company would treat humans this way and call it a store policy. I have contacted the BBB and informed them of these racist practices and discrimination as well as I have contacted the city of Issaquah's mayor and filed a complaint regarding them. I have also linked my review to Facebook and hope that everyone will take their business to a much more friendly company. Trying to get ahold of anyone other than a store manager who feels the same way about skin color is impossible as well( he informed me that everyone steals so you can't be loose with that kind of policy) Donovan Pooran and Ray the night lead. I actually think a couple of their pharmacy staff are ok but they are always out of Rx's. I'm home waiting right now until they get my prescription from their delivery today that was due yesterday!!! If they'd call at least I could go to rite aid! Plus they make you come inside to get faster service on a Rx but why would you want sick contagious people inside!! Wouldn't the community be better served by you allowing people to stay in their cars along with their germs? Sigh. They SUCK big time. I went for a prescription pickup and had to answer the same questions again and again. Had to stand in line three times to pickup my medicine. Every time I have been here and had my prescription filled they said they would need authorization from the insurance company but when I would talk to the manager or pharmacist they would realize it was a mistake of one of the employees and say we are sorry about that. I called other pharmacies and found out that this presciption was cheaper at every other pharmacy in issaquah. read more

I went on line to research where my daughter could go to have a picture taken for her Passport because hers expired and she's heading to CANADA in a few weeks. I found that your Issaquah branch has that service. I then went to the store prior to sending her in just to ensure that in fact that was the case. You know you can't believe everything you read on the Internet. I spoke with a very nice young black guy and he told me that depending on the time of the day the pictures could be taken and printed between 5 and 15 minutes. However, when my daughter when in today to have that done, the service was HORRIBLE! First, the girl working the photo area didn't know what she was doing, totally frustrating. She didn't have working knowledge of the process. Why wasn't she trained properly? Also, the store wasn't busy but the process took about 45 minutes from start to finish. It might have taken longer if my daughter hadn't said something after she tracked her down in the store having a social conversation with a friend of hers, REALLY!!, This is a poor reflection on your store Walgreens. You guys spend millions of dollars on advertising when in fact you should spend more time and money training your people. Get your CRAP together and please for every ones sake STOP hiring IDIOTS!. Pharmacy review: I went to Walgreens after my oral surgery. I communicated my situation where my anesthesia was about to wear off and needed my pain medication. I was told it would be 20 minutes maximum and that they would page me in the store when it was ready. After waiting 35 minutes and my pain medication wearing off, the only way to ask a question was to wait in a line that was 5 people deep. Two of the people in the line had a full basket of shopping items. It took me another 10 minutes to get to the front of the line. My prescription was ready and apparently had been ready for quite some time but they did not bother to call out my name or use the public address system. Such a horrible customer experience. Riteaid up the street just became my new Issaquah Pharmacy. read more

This pharmacy is only consistent in three areas; 1. being a disappointment, 2. being completely insensitive to customers needs, and 3. having zero integrity. I came in around noon for 4 prescriptions (3 antibiotic, 1 naproxen). After waiting in line, they asked me to take a seat while they called to confirm something w/ doctor. 15 minutes in, I didn't see anyone make a call so I did it myself. Afterward, I was asked to leave my chair and go back to the end of the line, which now had about 8+ people in it. I was in a lot of abdominal pain and it hurt to stand, so I sort of just curled up on the floor. I can confirm the numerous other reviews stating the total absence of any sense of customer service or "bedside manner". I don't have unrealistic expectations, and I know firsthand that customer service is one of the most stressful/thankless jobs, but every pharmacist I've interacted with here acts like they could not be more inconvenienced by the customer. read more

I was looking for a knee brace, and as you can probably guess, there are many types available with varying support and benefits. Apparently I spent too much time comparing products when the manager told me that I had to "stop" and either buy them all and return what I didn't want. He did say please, I'll give him that. However, he never asked if he could help me find something, he didn't ask what I was looking for, he didn't ask if I had questions (since I had been standing there looking at products for several minutes) and he certainly didn't ask if he could help in any way. He told me to just buy them (all? REALLY?!) and return what I didn't like. Completely flabbergasted, I asked if I heard him correctly and he said yes, so I put back the product that I was leaning towards purchasing and walked out. I have never been so rudely treated in my entire life and can assure Walgreens that I will never walk thru their doors again.
