I have been a long time customer of this this pharmacy and I have never had a problem with Rx's and…read morethe staff have always been kind and helpful. However, today was much different. I had a prescription that I was told would be ready by 2:20, so I am there at 2:40 to pick up. There were 2 people in front of me including 2 more waiting to get their flu shots. When I stepped up to the cashier, I was told it was being filled at that moment and will be ready in a few minutes. So I sat down to wait. Meanwhile, the line for the prescription pick ups was growing every 30 seconds. I also noticed that the pharmacy was very short staffed with one pharmacist giving "appointment"made flu shots. I patiently waited. I saw AND was notified via text message that my prescription was ready. The line continued to grow and was about 8 people deep now. The next person in line, I said to him in a kind voice that I was next in line, however, I chose to sit instead of stand. So I proceeded to the pharmacy window, I told the gal that my prescription was ready and pointed behind her to the counter where it was sitting. She said she didn't have time to check and for me to go to the back of the line. I said to her that I have been patiently waiting and was letting others go in front of me until the pharmacist put the label on the medication container. She then raised her voice at me and told me to go to the back of the line! I told her that I will not and that I had been waiting way longer than these other customers who have just walked in. She rolled her eyes at me, huffed in frustration, she turned around and grabbed my prescription. She then said what my medication was basically verifying that she had the correct prescription. Which is all fine, but she said the name of my medication very loudly and most of the customers in line heard. This is a huge HIPPA violation!!!! Hey, I get it, they were way understaffed, extremely busy ( like I've never seen so many customers in line for their prescriptions for the 5 plus years I have been going there), but to treat me like that and raise your voice to me and demand I go to the back of the Line and wait my turn as if I were a child is 100% not acceptable!!! Additionally, loudly saying what my medication was is a HIPPA violation, I really feel like I need to report this person. I believe she is a fairly young pharmacy technician with mousy brown hair and was wearing glasses. I too work in the medical field and I am constantly writing and sending patients medications to various pharmacies. I will never again recommend Fred Meyer to any of my patients and I will warn my patients about HIPPA violation that had occurred. I will also be changing to a new pharmacy. The Seattle area is busy, many businesses are extremely understaffed and we are all overwhelmed, over worked and exhausted most of the time. However, the way this pharmacy staff person handled herself was so unprofessional. I thanked this person for attending to me and I told her I hope her day gets better and it won't be so busy. All I got back from her was an eye roll (again) and a little forced smile.

The scale of this pharmacy is the same as any other inside a grocery store, small but also tidy and neat off to one side. At this location, there is a large bin to deposit unwanted medications. There's also an automatic blood pressure measurement device. They do flu shots too. I typically find they are not too busy with short wait, so that's a plus. Parking is easy, underneath the store.

My husband dropped off our dog's prescription for Simparica Trio on his lunch today 12/30/24 at noon. Got a text at 12:34PM that it was ready for pickup. Husband went to pick it up at 5PM after work, pharmacist states that it's not ready for pick up and that it's gonna be a bit for them to fill it. He asks to pick up the half our cat's prescription that we were told was ready and the pharmacist states that "these flea meds don't last long on the shelves" and we have to wait until Friday for a new shipment to come in. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a medication is filled for a patient it should be labeled and set aside for them, correct? Not given away to another customer. Especially if a customer is informed that the medication is ready for pickup. Will absolutely not be using this pharmacy again unless some excellent customer service comes from this review. $286 worth of purchase definitely deserves better customer service than this. After determining that the medication was not in stock, he insisted on checking availability at the warehouse to see if it could be brought in on a shipment by tomorrow. My vet prescribed two different pain meds for my cockatiel. This company was very fast in asking…read morefor payment but very slow (4 days from payment to receiving meds) at delivering the meds despite only being about 25 minutes drive away. I let it go since I was a new customer and they didn't have my credit card on file. As a second-time customer, this time waiting for two very crucial uric acid lowering meds, the shipping time left much to be desired again. They called on Wednesday while I was out of town, asking for payment. I authorized payment. They told me I'd receive the meds the next day - Thursday. I did not receive the meds until Saturday evening. That means my bird missed 5 doses of those crucial meds (2 doses on Thursday and Friday each, and 1 dose on Saturday morning). What's more aggravating is one of those meds requires refrigeration. It was packed with a small ice pack but because the shipping took so long, the ice pack was no longer cold, and the medication was room temperature. I called to ask about the efficacy of the medication and was told it was ok. Would they be honest with me if it was not? I doubt it. And who knows? Because between missing 5 doses and questionable efficacy, my bird passed 5 days after I administered the meds. I would never use them again and I'll request my vet use another company in the future. From my experience, this company is more interested in collecting payment first, and then taking their sweet time sending the meds. This would be fine if they were not in the business of helping to save animals' lives. I was out of town or I'd have driven to get those meds. Also, they close early and aren't open on weekends. I also gave them feedback that the volume of liquid meds is so small, their container so tall/large, and the syringes so short - shorter than the container, which makes extracting the meds into the syringe a challenge. Have these people even tried using their own packaging??
