This is only about the pharmacy- I had become ill during the day on New Year's Eve...but just thought I was feeling under the weather-I was wrong, I had an infection. So after suffering all through the night, I finally got medical help at 400 AM on New Year's Day. The only issue was that there are no pharmacies for prescriptions in the Seattle area that are open 24 hours or on a holiday except this location. I called to make sure they were open before my doctor filed the prescription-the person on the phone (later I found he was the pharmacist) wanted to make sure he had the medication before I made the drive out, which was so kind because I was in so much pain. When I got there, it was about 20 miles. There were about 4 cars in the drive-up pharmacy lane, and 1 person in the store waiting in front of me. The pharmacist was by himself, working and taking care of a lot of people on a holiday was unbelievably kind, empathetic, and had a smile on his face for all the people picking up. I cannot recommend this pharmacy. Despite being a long-term patient, the staff consistently treats me with unprofessionalism and suspicion regarding my medication. The process for obtaining refills is nearly impossible--you have to call, wait on hold for an hour, and then have the line disconnected. I have watched staff hang up on multiple customers in person. It is clear that there is a lack of accountability and respect for patients at this location. Every experience with them is a nightmare. The core of the issue is the (foreign) call center that Walgreens routes all calls to. They are completely incompetent, unable to navigate insurance, and sometimes lose the prescription. If you call and ask to be routed to the store, they will do that, but usually the store will just hang up on you. Unfortunately, in my area Walgreens is the only remaining pharmacy chain. Tonight I decided no matter how far I have to drive, I will never be their customer again. I called on Tuesday to get a prescription refilled. I had called the doctor first, and they instructed me to call the pharmacy. So I did, and the Walgreens system told me the prescription would be ready at 8am on Friday. So on Friday, I called, they said not ready yet, try Saturday. I called Saturday night, and after some runaround was told the doctor had approved it and it would be ready Monday. Unfortunately, I'm traveling before then (why I called so far ahead), so I decided to just go to the store. The pharmacist there told me they have absolutely no record of the prescription. So now I'll be traveling without my medication. My previous experience with them wasn't much better. After being told insurance would cover the medication, they apparently changed their mind. They said I could pay out of pocket - over $600. I checked with Amazon pharmacy, and was able to get it from them (also outside of insurance) for $30. Over twenty times cheaper! This drive through pharmacy is so fast, efficient and professional. As the nearby FM has changed to not accept some major insurance, so I tried this place and they are great. 24 hour drive through, just down the hill from Swedish Hospital- an easy drive and you don't have to leave the car (recently I broke my foot and had a friend drive me to the ER, this was so handy to get prescriptions on the way home). It's just gotten worse and worse. I get it. They are overwhelmed. But something has to change. I tried to renew my antibiotic on the phone system today. First it couldn't find me (been coming here for years) then it couldn't find my prescription by number. Spoke to someone after an hour on hold who said it would be done in a few hours. That was at 2:30pm. Just arrived at 11pm to be told it wasn't due to refill until the 2nd but if needed I could get it but it would be an hour wait. I can't wait until midnight so I headed home. At 11:15, I got an email that it's ready. Ridiculous. I long for a pharmacy to only be that. A pharmacy. Not a drug store for all your other needs. I would give ZERO stars if possible. The cashier was so rude when we were having issues with the credit card machine. Asked her for help and she said"I can't make the payment for you". No kidding just asked for some direction since it didn't seem to be working. She just stood behind the counter bouncing a rubber on the floor and then on the counter right in front of my wife. 24/7 opening to help you get your meds and relief, no matter what time of day. Service is efficient and perfectly acceptable. Can get busy sometimes hence the wait time, but that's hardly their fault. Store products are well stocked. The lady at the cash register today is very rude and needs more training on how to become better in customer service. I don't know why the COVID and flu tests are located at the front register when it should be located in the pharmacy section. This woman at the register was not very helpful at all. She didn't even make an effort or even say, okay I just saw you, let me ask my manager if we can reimburse you and you pay the difference on the product you originally wanted to purchase. No. This woman is full of hate and she shows it by not smiling and responding to customers with "What!", instead of I'm sorry I didn't hear you the first time. Can you please repeat yourself. She looks angry and upset and I even said thank you but she didn't say anything back! She should be glad this Walgreens at least has some people coming in to buy things. People who work in these type of settings should understand that without the customers, your business is nothing. So be thankful that we're around to buy the products in your store. Worse experience ever! First it all I waited in the drive thru for 45 minutes. When I finally got to the window there was an incompetent men who did not know how to use the computer and took like 20 minutes and finally called his coworker who told me they did not have my medication on stock! FYI this mediation has a window that I need to take and they did not bother to inform my provider or give me call to tell me they did not have it. I sure told the Asian lady at the window that it was her JOB to inform the MD office and patient was the med was not available! The worst Walgreens that I been in the northwest in the west coast. Even worst than the Walgreens in Puerto Rico. That is very bad. I call ahead for my refill I get there and is never ready. Even when I give at least two days heads up. The technician are over work and not very pleasent. The pharmacist try their best but they are also over work. Never enought personnel working. Unless is after 900pm the line wait inside is at least an hour or more. It is ridiculous that corporate don't see or do anything about it.Wnon't continue going there. read more

I'm assuming it's not the actual pharmacists fault, but this is probably the worst pharmacy in the area. No matter what time of day you go you are waiting a minimum of 20 minutes in line, usually to get to the front for them to tell you your prescription is not ready (even if they tell you it's ready or they've been "working on it" for multiple days). My medications are on auto refill, yet they do not refill it unless I come in person. They obviously need to hire more people. read more

This pharmacy has way too many customers to technicians. Working here was so mentally draining and many times I was forced to work through customer harassment. A piece of advice for any customers viewing this review, please be easier on the technicians they are truly trying their best. It's not their fault that there are rarely enough people scheduled at night during our busiest hours between 4pm- 9pm. My coworkers in the pharmacy were always very kind, especially the Rx manager Shari (when she was in charge of the schedule everyone was happier). As a technician apprentice, I should not have had to train a pharmacist, while being one of two techs in the building. I always put my all into this pharmacy but a person can only take so much until they finally break. read more

I went to Walgreens twice in 24 hours! As everyone mentions, you never get your prescription when you show up, they only fill it once you're there. Last night I waited only to be told one of my prescriptions wasn't covered. I came back today with more information on my coverage and the pharmacist (Kathy) who helped me was incredibly kind and knew exactly how to get my insurance working again. She also was able to fill my sister's prescription on the spot so we didn't have to get back in the 45 minute line! Thank you Kathy my family will love you forever. read more

I was directed to Walgreens for my continous blood glucose sensors because they were supposedly billing Medicare. i now find out they have been billing my secondary insurance!! I have been thru every level of staff at Walgreens and lied to by everyone. today someone finally confessed in a local Walgreens they might bill Medicare but the mail order does not. Now that Walgreens has been dropped as a provider for that insurance Walgreens wants to charge me "full" price "they don't bill Medicare". There are several options with openly honest providers at other pharmacies and medical supply places for CGMs. I have had other problems with Walgreens such as being told an item is on back order and then never receiving the prescription. I was told"Walgreens doesn't keep track of backorderd items, You just have to keep calling and checking to see if we got he product in.". Another bit of nonsense. Just beware and do not trust Walgreens to do the right thing and act with integrity. Integrity is not in Walgreens mail order handboo! read more

Awful pharmacy. So slow and ineffective. It gave me confirmation today why I use the Costco pharmacy. Everyone was moving around like a chicken with their head cut off and what should have taken 5 minutes took 20. Indian lady at the counter was soft spoken so most people could hear her through the Plexiglas. Costco when they re busy has 4-5 pharmacy assistants while Walgreens had only one person with a long line done the half of the aisle. Very inefficient and poor management and planning. read more

I heard an employee being racist towards a customer No action was taken, the customer called out the employee for his comments but unfortunately didn't ask for a manager The store is run by some managers who are absent on the clock and don't help the employees or if they do, it's micromanaging and yelling at them. COVID-19 vaccinations are available here. The person giving the shot lacks customer service skills, but the other two employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Easy to make an appointment online and download the required questionnaire for vaccines. Have also been here for ER prescriptions in the middle of the night. Closest pharmacy I could find that was open that late. Even though I was there after midnight with no one else in line ahead of me, they told me it would be a 20 minute wait. read more

WORST PHARMACY CHAIN EVER! Why on earth is every single Walgreens pharmacy this terrible? Especially this one that is open 23 hours a day?! They will delay your medication every single time even if it's on auto refill. I have been taking the same medication for over 25 years so why is there an issue with the auto refill every month? I enjoy coming to this Walgreens, the staff is always friendly, and my prescriptions are always filled very fast! They even say hello to me by name, which always makes me feel nice that they remember me. Yes they are sure of people, but they always try their best to make sure that you are getting taken care of. Unfortunately, there's a reason why this location has so many 1 star reviews. I came to the 24hr pharmacy last night around 9:30PM to pick up my prescription, as I do routinely, to find that the store's entire retail system was down - including the pharmacy. They could not process any prescriptions and we're turning people away. I also learned the hard way that this is one of two 24hr pharmacies on the Eastside. By the time I drove to the next closest Walgreens, they had all closed by 10PM. Drove back to this location to see if the system had been fixed and they let me know that it would not be fixed until 12Pm the following morning. Had to go without my insomnia medication and didn't get a wink of sleep. Well done. I've been coming here for years and this location consistently has long lines, is understaffed and disorganized. Clearly staff retention is an issue especially for the pharmacy. I'll be switching to Costco. read more

Last night I was standing in line behind a woman who was trying to get her prescriptions filled. The pharmacy reps (plural), including the manager, could not have been ruder, more condescending, or behaved more inappropriately toward this customer. Let's talk HIPPA. I can tell you her name, her birthdate, and three of the prescriptions they made her repeat over and over. And they made her talk loudly, because as the rudest pharmacist Jose said " I can't hear you through the glass!" When the customer asked him to keep his voice down... he refused. Let's talk MD ordered prescriptions. The pharmacy did not fill all of her prescriptions. She had five. I know this because I could hear the poor woman being asked to repeat them over and over. The pharmacist gave the following reason why Walgreens did not fill all of the prescriptions that her MD ordered. "You have so many prescriptions, I didn't think you wanted them all." And to the customer's dismay emphasizing that she needed the medications that her doctor prescribed, the pharmacy rep said, "Well we all have problems." ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!! ⁉What level of incompetence is required to work in the pharmacy at Walgreens?!!!⁉ Let's talk filled prescriptions. The pharmacy did not fill the correct quantities for her medication. She discovered this as she walked away. She turned around to ask them to correct their error. Jose MANSPLAINED and GASLIGHTED this poor woman as if it was her fault the pharmacy got it wrong. Further, he basically said "tough luck" because the order was already finished. You could see her embarrassment growing. But just like every bully I've ever met, Jose pushed on this woman's vulnerability and berated her in front of us all. "I don't understand," she said over and over. "Here's my prescription on the Wallgreens app... showing that my prescription is ready... see that green check right there? and for this number of pills... and I just discovered you didn't give me enough. Why can't you fix this?" Jose ramped up his bully tactics, treated her WITH CONTEMPT and refused to address her basic need, until she walked away. END this horrible customer service!!!! read more

Would rate this store negative stars if I could. This review is specifically for the photo department, which is an absolute disaster. I ordered prints online and came in a week later to get them picked up only to find out that they had sold them to someone else which was very strange. They had me wait while they reprinted them and when I looked at them later when I got home, they were cut off. I went back and got no help in getting a refund for these as I could not find the receipt and when they were reprinted, the person did not put some sort of sticker on them, which didn't allow them to look it up. Waste of money that I won't get refunded and pictures that I can't use. Would recommend never getting your photos printed here! read more

Came here for my Covid and flu vaccinations. It was incredibly busy with almost nobody masking or distancing. They did not have my flu vaccine ready. My address and birthday were wrong. The person managed to make the injections painful and I am extremely good with injections. (I inject myself with an MS medication 3x a week.) Then they just left me in the dirty medical room with no instructions and was surprised to find me still there when they came back. I will never ever be coming back here. Two stars instead of one because they did manage to get the vaccines into my arm at least. read more

I am not sure if I have ever experienced a business as broken as this one. I don't complain often or write negative reviews either. I recommend they close the location down - literally tear the building down and start over. I have been a customer for over 10 years and have left for another pharmacy. The list is long - beware. 1) Both drive through lanes closed 2) Line in store, each time I attempted to pick up prescription wound around the length of the store 3) Over 90 minutes on hold to get through and then eventually receive a busy signal 4) Waited one day 2 hours 35 minutes on hold to get through to central Walgreens only to transfer to Issaquah and have the line disconnect. (I just left my phone on while I worked). 5) Even when picking up prescriptions in the past, staff is extremely curt and shockingly unfriendly 6) Staff is unprofessional as witnessed when other customers were trying to get help. 7) Employees in the pharmacy are unkept, shabby clothes, dirty hair. Unprofessional appearance. 8) Store is out of stock all of the time of common items - before Covid hit. When I changed my pharmacy, I felt like a fool for not doing this earlier. I called them to verify my first prescription, and get this... they picked up the phone on the first ring. They were so pleasant when I picked up my prescriptions and now that a couple months has gone by, it makes it so much more apparent how broken Walgreens Issaquah is. Bartells is wonderful compared to them. And my Wife can't relate - she goes to Rite Aid. Avoid this pharmacy and avoid the insufferable experience with one of the most incompetent and broken businesses I have ever experienced. read more
