I've shopped there for years. Staff have always been kind and curious. I was there recently and the women stocking the medicine isle was so nasty when I asked where something was. She didn't move but rudely told me where to find it. I couldn't find it and she got upset about having to come and point it out. She should mot b working with people if she had no patience. Went to this Fred Meyer on our way to the East Lake Sammamish Trail to pick up a Discover Pass and the woman at guest services told us she needed a Driver's License and my social security number. We have been buying this pass for 10 years (from Fred Meyer) and we have never provided our social security number. We explained this to the woman and she insisted it was something new and offered to hand us the keyboard so we could type it in ourselves. We left without buying the pass. The Discover Pass website doesn't require you to input your social security number to purchase a Discover Pass and neither did REI where we were able to buy the pass for cheaper and without providing information other than our phone number because we're members. DO NOT provide your social security number to buy a Discover Pass at Fred Meyer, I don't know why this employee was trying to collect this information from us, but it's giving scam vibes. read more

I always do self checkout: the scanner glass is always dirty so scanning my reward card or doing Kroger pay can take a few trys. Then when I scan a product it asks for an attendant for no particular reason so I have to wait to have it cleared as they help others. It's frustrating that I'm tempted not to use self checkout anymore. The Fred Meyer app needs stream lining...it looks too busy and complicated. I don't like the regular savings vs digital savings which you have to clip first. Savings is savings and should automatically apply whether you clip it or not. Some of the employees could be trained better to be knowledgeable and be more professional instead of they're just there for the paycheck kind of attitude. read more

It's a typical Fred Meyer's and that's a good thing. Fred Meyer's is the best all-around grocery store chain in the area. We would probably shop here all the time if we didn't have good options (ie Trader Joe's) that are much closer to us. Fred Meyer's is the place to go to for the best, cheap produce. And they have all of the standard brands, something that is lacking at Trader Joe's. My kids yearn for Oreos and Cheerios and other favorite brands, every once in a while. read more

The poor HR person can't catch her breath between trying to find people as fast as the management team runs employees away and having to help out as a cashier because the management team runs people off so fast. The online ordering manager doesn't care about anything except numbers. I hadn't been to Fred Meyer's in eons, and of course jumped at the chance for a quick shopping trip, and a walk down memory lane. If you haven't had an opportunity to shop at Fred Meyer's, it's a unique shopping experience, that truly needs to be experienced. The store literally has something for everyone. For those of you that might remember the old store called Gemco, they had groceries, furnishings, clothes, toiletries, furniture, and so much more, Fred Meyer's is Gemco on steroids. It's awesome. The grocery store section is filled with anything and everything you can possibly imagine. Literally one stop shopping. I actually found more options and different items at Fred Meyer's than I do in my own local specialty stores. It was pretty amazing. The clothing area is what it is. It's more akin to Walmart, target etc. You're not gonna find your designer dad's here, but you will find reasonably priced basic clothing. The toiletries area is huge! They literally offer almost every type of over the counter/drugstore makeup, toiletry, beauty products than you can imagine. I found products made by certain manufacturers that I never see when I'm home. I probably could've spent forever looking at anything and everything in the store. The furniture area was filled with all sorts of items all reasonably priced, and a great place to shop for a kids room, or when you're looking for inexpensive college dorm items, or you're just trying to stay within a small budget of being able to furnish your own place. They really do have it all. I did not make it over to the jewelry section, and I really should have because once upon a time, Fred Meyers was known for upscale expensive jewelry. They used to carry diamonds that you would only find in high-end specialty stores. I'm curious what type of jewelry they currently offer. Fred Meyers is still a super cool place to shop, and I know that when I walk through the doors I will be able to find anything and everything that I'm looking for. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. What kind of organisation they do have? Does the manager overlooked these problems? Look at all these 1 star reviews, maybe, it's high time for managers or whoever manage these employees to make it right. If they care. I ordered on their app for grocery delivery and it was one of the MOST horrible customer service. It was supposed to be delivered 6-8 PM that pushed to 8:15 PM. The conversation went like this, First call (9 PM): The guy attendant was clueless. I was asking for an update and he said "Yeah okay." I was like "I mean, don't you want to get my name or order number?" Because where is he going to base his update. And he replied "Yeah thanks" and hanged up. - What's up with that? Got a text around 11 PM that is going to be delivered the next day. Second call (the next morning): The female attendant was grumpy and rude. I greeted her saying "Hi, just would like to check in with my order..." and she said "No. Only instacart does that. We don't do it" With a rude tone! And I explained that, it says on their app they do delivery. She never bothered to explain, in a way that "what's going to happen with order then?" or make accommodations. And today, same thing happened - delivery is delayed. Tried calling them and what they're doing is answer and 1-2 seconds of silence, they'll hang up the phone. I know they do that cos you know how phone/telephone works and for their information, i hear the background noise with that second. So thanks for doing that. And I did that for F I V E (5) times, and yes, they did it for 5 times. If only I could give negative star, I would. People tell customers are the problem but most of the time (at least in my experience) the employees are the one who has attitude. I have ordered through their app, I have nothing to do with instacart, that's their chosen third party and yet they can't help. This is extremely terrible. Truly a messed up situation. Have been living in Sammmaish for 13 years, and this Fred Meyer store is our family primary shopping grocery store, I feel the customer service need some improvement. This morning 08/03/2024 at 10:30am I was self-checking out my purchase for a company event in Lake Sammamish State Park, I took each of items from the top of layer of my cart and scanned them on the machine, but the items I put on the bottom layer of the cart are heavy ones such as packs of bottle waters, coke, fanta, lemonade, so I used provided handheld scanner to scan them in the cart without taking them out because they are heavy. I did hear a "beeps" before my next scan, suddently a lady wearing a green shirt jumping over and start yelling at me "you didn't scan them, you need to rescan them", her voice was so loud and rude, and everyone turned and looked at here, I feel disrespectful and embarrassed. When I tried to explain she brutually interruptted me saying "Let me finish", and also saying "to avoid confusion, you should take each item out and scan on the mechine" If Fred Meyer wants to avoid this confusion, why just take all handheld scanner away from the store, not let any customer to use it?! Her explaination makes zero sense. I feel this female employee in self-checkout section lacks of basic customer service training, doesn't know how to interact customer in a polite way, she doesn't care customer feeling, she definitely doesn't fit this position. read more

I was waiting in the parking lot for my friend to buy some items from the Fred Meyer and a dude ran out with a full grocery cart and started launching the items into the back seat of his ride. This seemed odd and looked like someone who may have stolen the items from the store. I took a picture of the car and the license plate and then called into the store. It took me a while to get a human on the phone and I told them what I saw and the photos that I had. I asked if they saw the potential theft and reported it to 911. They told me that they aren't allowed to call 911, but I could. From past experiences, I knew this didn't work, because what I saw was suspicious, but the "victim" needed to report the crime. The "victim" is Fred Meyer" and I just saw something odd. I feel like a victim for the higher prices we all pay for everything, because the corporate policy of Fred Meyer is to do nothing about theft. If you're from out of town, Fred Meyer is the local version of a Meijer if you're from Michigan or a Target if you're from other parts of the US. It's one of those stores where nothing is an after thought. It's a full on grocery story and a full on household good store. They sell kids toys, clothes, space heaters, wine, produce, really anything. If you need something quick, it's a great option. At times, we've had to return items since it was cheaply made (Like the space heater we just bought). For basic goods, it's a great place. For more expensive items like a space heater, go to a store like Home Depot. read more

I would give ZERO stars to the Issaquah Fred M if I could, for the way it treated customers on Thanksgiving Day. Yes, some of us were rushing in for last-minute purchases before they closed at 4 pm. But we were allowed in the doors, clearly shopping quickly and heading to the self-check to be done as soon as possible. But multiple employees yelled at me that they were closing the store, shutting off the registers. There was a long line ahead of me at the self-check, and a very nasty employee who didn't want to allow me to purchase my items. I had to talk her into it, and I heard her telling the two women behind me with a cart full of food that they couldn't purchase it, and had to leave. The two women were clearly upset, told the store clerk she was being very rude, and the clerk just exploded at them. Wow! We are paying customers, and if you don't like working the holidays then don't be at the store on those days. I wish I'd gone to Safeway instead, and spent my money there. If customers are allowed into the store, they should be allowed to purchase their items. Please revise your policies, and fire some of these inappropriate employees who have personal conversations and listen to football games while they're at work. If you're a tourist or visiting/new to the area, FM is WA state's version of a super Target, with home goods, hardware, groceries, and a pharmacy under one roof and this one also has a bank branch. My aunt and I went to the Fred Meyer to pick out a Christmas tree last minute. The trees were priced 50% off. We picked out an $80 tree but to our surprise it's was only $16.50! We were told we had to put the tree on our car ourselves but we're given the supplies to tie it down. So we did and began tying over the top of the tree and through all 4 windows. Just as we finished wrapping the tree we realized the wrapped all four doors shut As we were dying of laughter a car pulled up to tell us our mistake and a Fred Meyer employee named Rebecca had stopped and told us the same thing. She did offer to help re-wrap the tree with us. At that point we started laughing so hard again and she enjoyed this moment with us. We told her would just climb through the windows. She assisted us with a boost into the back windows of the car and just was such a good soul about what had just happened. Hopefully her manager will read this and just let her know that we were thankful for her and she was such a ray of sunshine. She will always belong to this Christmas 2021 memory! read more

From what I can tell it's at typical Freddie's. It has a jewelry store and pharmacy inside. They have a great selection of items from toilet paper to tennis shoes. This place turns into a packed circus at times. Personally I find the other customers rude because they frequently cut me off in the store while I'm shopping. Sometimes it takes all the patience I have to make it through here without losing my temper. I made the horrible mistake of not MAKING my 7 year old daughter urinate upon leaving our home. Of course she was making noises because they are using every body muscle they have to avoid peeing or pooping on themselves. The family bathroom is gross and long overdue for being completely redone. There are stains on the walls and fixtures. Luckily it wasn't my youngest, diaper wearing child that needed help as I would have gotten physically ill putting her on that nasty changing table. My motto when going to public places no matter what the type of business it may be is if you as a customer can see it then it always makes me wonder how nasty the stuff we don't see is. read more

Place is relatively clean but it generally takes 4x the amount of time to check out as it does to shop. They never have enough checkers available, there is always some sort of computer issue. Checkout lines are typically 10-12 carts deep with numerous managers observing, but not actually helping or opening other lines. Even self checkout is 8-10 deep and always needing manager overrides. I will not use this service ever again, I will pay more somewhere else than to be screwed over again . We get home from picking up and realize none of our coupons were taken off so we had our son put groceries away while we called customer service . They ended up fixing that issue and then today we realized our uncrustables were not in the bag at pick up . We called and were able to fix that but we just now went to make our frozen pizzas and realized AGAIN, another 4items were missing . They are all freezer items so im guessing they store them differently and people forget to take those out for pick up. I'm sooo over this service . Trying to return a package of peppers that were infested with bugs inside the peppers. Store hours 6 AM to 11 PM and I arrived around 9 AM. An employee at the customer service desk tells me they can't help me until 10! I talk to 3 other employees, 2 of which were standing around talking to each other as it was so slow, and not one can help me with a $6 issue. Left the peppers and walked out never to return again. Manager Lisa is extremely rude. I was in line at checkout, patiently waiting for what was obviously a new cashier to finish ringing up a customer in front of me. She finally finished, received payment and handed the receipt. The cashier then continued to chat with the customer about how the POS was slow... I asked if she could start ringing me up as I was in a hurry and out of nowhere, manager Lisa yelled at me that the cashier was still helping the other customer. I told her the transaction was finished and they were just chatting. She continued to scold me and told me to "wait your turn". I felt embarrassed and humiliated. This is a nice and organized Fred Meyer and the staff did their best to help me find a specialized product. I was pretty happy at their "attempt" to help me find what I was looking for by a combination of looking online, walking down the aisles and asking another employee. I used to love FM in college and have found that other locations are a bit chaotic where I did not want to return. I did not feel this way about this location and would definitely visit again. This Fred Meyer is great. Reminds me of the Ballard location. It is a bit of a drive, but definitely is worth the trip. Much because it is near Krispy Kreme. Plenty of parking here and it is right next to Home Depot, just like the Redmond location. Plus, it is just a short distance from I-90 which makes it easy to get to. Thankfully this location is one floor and the grocery section is front and center. The high ceilings and open layout makes this place a nice place to shop. The seafood selection here seems a little better. At least they have what I was looking for in stock. Typical bakery and deli. The wine, cheese and natural food sections are much more meticulous and larger than the Redmond and Bellevue locations. Particularly, the cheese. They have the typical cheese location in the deli area, but they also have a specialty cheese section here where I found Beechers. For having that extra extra, I recommend this Fred Meyer. I probably will stick to my Bellevue store for everyday items, but would not hesitate to come here if I was in the area. Having that Krispy Kreme across the street sure makes the difference! read more

I normally don't do reviews, especially negative ones during this time - I know we're all doing our best right now. And every one was wearing masks, which was great. However, as I was in the dairy section, an employee was sitting on the floor with her socks and shoes OFF, picking at her feet. She was blocking the milk so I had to stand there and wait for her to be done. She put her socks and shoes back on without even looking up, then proceeded to get up and shelve her groceries without washing or sanitizing her hands. It was super gross. They have attached these little yellow security devices (see picture) to everything. Now whenever someone bumps into them, or a kid plays with it, or the wind blows. They go off! Loud annoying chirping, nerve racking noise. Great, lovely to shop to. Instead of driving away thieves it drives away guests. Now I can excuse that. I get it, you don't want things stolen but you also want to spend as little money as possible preventing theft. Fine. Cheapen yourself. I don't mind. Now I wanted to buy a vacuum, and the models were display only, you're supposed to grab a ticket. Wonderful. There are no tickets. Zero. Awesome. Why make it hard to give you business? Produce department earns them one star. Stay away in droves!!! The store sucks and is awful since before the virus. They used to be my 2nd go-to store for shopping items I did not buy at Costco. I have multiple bad experiences at their store in Issaquah. 3 times filled out their survey and asked someone to contact me. Nothing-shows lack of interest or concern in their customers. 1) Self-Check Out. Many people are off in another world not paying attention to customers and the self-check out says someone will soon be there but because they are chatting with each other and the system says that 2 or 3 times. I have had heavy things in my cart and am older and asked them to lift it out or scan in the cart and one person said "Why can't you do that?" I never had that experience at Costco 2) They have been going through a long and painful remodel. Can't find anything before or after virus. Many empty shelves or employees don't know where the items are nor seem to care. I have seen multiple employees without name badges. Maybe they are embarrassed and don't want to show they work there. Aisles or not clean nor can a customer pass through many aisles because the employees stocking them have things strewn over both sides of the aisle so I have given up on many items. Regular items missing from the store for weeks on end and no one can tell me when they will be in stock again. I only had one person check and they said I don't know. 3) One early evening before the virus, I found the whole cart bay in the store empty and all carts were only in the parking lot. I wish I found that out before I came in the store. I told the customer service counter and the lady said it was because one person was absent that evening but I saw multiple employees standing around and three chit-chatting at the customer service counter. Only one person could get carts? What about these other idle employees. Not efficient nor responsible. 4) The deli counter sucks! There is one short lady who can't see people at the counter and there are many other young ones who work on food preparation but are not aware when people are at the counter. They need a bell or a number service system. I would suggest a paper one where you don't have to worry about numbers being lost such as the Costco optical department used. I have seen food out without tags and the employees could not tell me what it was and the price and where they have unappetizing food, broken or unpresentable but the employee at the deli counter tried to give me the bad food and save the good for someone else I guess. That is not customer service. I think they need to close or figure all of this out. Addendum: Still July and no one from Fred Meyer contacted me from March or April even though I asked them three times. I saw many management people in the Issaquah store about a month ago and thought I would bring this up to them but I thought it was not my job. Great prices for the products in the Natural Food aisle. It's even cheaper than QFC, which is a Kroger brand, too. I always stock up on all my organic, natural products here because it's the best price. This Fred Meyer is also much cleaner than some locations I've been to. In the morning before 8AM, people are stocking the shelves and there are items in the middle of the aisle, which can be a little annoying. But the checkers are fast. read more
