Staff super unfriendly and unhelpful. Where I used to live I would get beyond meat products frozen from the back of the meat area. So that they are not thawed out and the expiration is longer. So I went in over the weekend and asked if I could have some products that were still frozen and the man at the meat counter told me "that would be too hard" for him to search in the back to get me some. Great prices for the products in the Natural Food aisle. It's even cheaper than QFC, which is a Kroger brand, too. I always stock up on all my organic, natural products here because it's the best price. This Fred Meyer is also much cleaner than some locations I've been to. Fred Meyer's vaccination system is bugged to the point of being insulting. You have to try dozens and dozens of times on the site to even get a chance at a slot for your first dose, but there is NEVER a slot for a second dose available, which means functionally there are NO vaccine slots available. I've tried online help, calling their COVID hotline, and even seeing if the pharmacy itself has a wait list. Everyone acknowledged the problem but no one could help me. read more

Terribly run store. There are homeless people begging for money right at the store's front door. This is Issaquah, not the south Seattle ghetto. Extremely poor management to allow beggars to sit next to the door and bother customers. $.50 - $3.50 fee for cash back? Kroger's, you just made a massively poor business decision. I purposefully bank at a credit union (not for profit) to have much lower percentage rates on my car loan, line of credit, etc. and there are fewer ATMs, so I would hit Fred Meyer for cash back. This is my favorite grocery store since the options are endless and you can find everything in one place. They have the usual deli with fresh meats, hot food, cold salads, cheese and more. They have a seafood section where you can get fresh seafood and they will even cut it up for you. The olive bar is also my favorite offering an assortment of olives, cheese, and roasted veggies. They also have an Organic section offering eggs, mik, vitamins, vegan soaps and products. I also love that they also offer free fruits for the kids. Also love that they also have a makeup section, shampoo and feminine products. They even have clothes, jewelry and electronic so you can get all your needs done in one store. I really don't want to write a bad review for issaquah fred meyer as I've been regular customer here for at least 18-19 years as of 2020 and shop here at least 5 times a week. Store is clean and up to eastside standard. People who work there are mostly friendly and helpful. Generally satisfied with the services and products they provide. There is one major con though which is one of their employees who's been extremely rude and inattentive at customer service. There have been several incidents when i felt ignored and insulted. One time i accidentally left my credit card after using self checkout kiosk and called the customer service number right after i realized it. The girl who answered my call(i know what her name is but am not going to mention it here)asked what my last name was and i told her my last name+color and type of the card+last four digits for her convenience and about 5 secs later she said "NO! we don't have your card here" then just hung up on me. Luckily I was nearby so i paid a visit to their customer service to make sure my card was not there. Since there was a couple of people waiting i ran into the self check out and asked for help from the girl who helped me with my transaction who clearly remembered returning my card to the customer service when she found my card left out(Thank you Rachael!!) Finally i was able to talk to a young guy at customer service and asked if they happened to have my card in their lost and found drawer(the rude girl on the phone was on the other side of customer service handling other customers)and i talked to the guy that Rachael had dropped my card a couple of hours ago. The young man opened the drawer and looked for my card which seemed to be organized in alphabetical order.Lo and behold!! My lost card was found in their drawer within 10 seconds. Did the girl on the phone even open the drawer when i called? Why did she ask my last name if she did have zero intention to look for my card? Didn't she even care how people feel when they lost their belongings and how desperate they are? There is another episode with this girl which happened today but i am not going to write it here as i've decided to write an official complaint to the store's general manager soon. read more

This 1 star rating is purely due to management. I want to emphasize that the customer service rep who helped us, Katie, was fantastic. In fact, she's a total superstar. I watched her handle 6 customers in line, working 2 registers, and answer 3 phone calls all at the same time. While the printer was printing our fishing license, I watched her answer 2 phone calls at the SAME TIME. It was amazing. She kept her cool the whole time. The reason I'm writing a 1 star review is that Katie shouldn't have had to do that. There were over 10 checkers at the front lanes. As I walked past, 4 of them had no customers in line. One was sitting on top of her check stand table, chatting with another bored checker. I realize skills don't usually transfer directly between check stands and customer service. That's no excuse. Industry practices of cross training have been around for years. There's no reason one of your employees should be drowning while others sit around chatting. And if moving a checker over to help in a rush is not a possibility, a manager should be standing shoulder to shoulder with the overwhelmed employee, helping out. Great job Katie. Disappointed in the fact that I have to pay for bags in the first place, but now they don't even have handles?! It's a huge pain in the a$$ trying to carry my bags up the stairs to get into my apartment. Rather than being able to carry multiple bags at once, I'm stuck carrying one MAYBE 2 at a time. Additionally, the bags rip easier. I grabbed my bag to scoot it a little closer before picking it up and it completely ripped! At least at QFC the bags are free. I'll just start making trips there and then using my bags at Fred Meyers. They also have handles on theirs and they're bigger than the Fred Meyer bags. read more

Anywho....Jewelz and Taneal (sorry if I spelled that wrong) are amazing!!!! Their customer service is impecable and they are both so friendly and kind. My boyfriend bought me a ring and necklace set for Xas 2009, which is gorgeous! Fred Meyer Jewelers guarantee for their jewelery is simple....take care of your jewelery; clean and inspect every 6 months and they will take care of you. When I took my ring in for its 2nd inspection, a very small diamond had fallen out of the band. Taneal, without question, replaced the ring. However, the 2nd ring was defective. Yet again, working with both Jewelz and Taneal, they replaced the ring, no questions asked. My boyfriend also purchased an amazing cuff bracelet for me for our 1 year anniversary that Jewelz help him pick out. It was breathtaking when I opened it!! I wear it for all special occasions, as well as rainy days. I work in the neighborhood and say HI to the girls everytime I shop at F.Meyer. They also frequent my place of work and are so nice to me. It's very reassuring to have someone who also works in the customer service industry to be so nice! Let me tell ya...working in the customer service industry on the "eastside" is draining due to the people you deal with and it can be very hard to keep that smile on your face. Jewelz and Taneal keep their smiles present and are AMAZING to have as local jewelers. I would reccoment Frey Meyer Jewelers to anyone! Go see Taneal and Jewelz. There is something unsettling for me about Fred Meyer type stores. Too much consumption. Need a .5 inch sprocket wrench and a jelly donut? Got it. Looking for a leopard print Snuggie? Aisle 15. Cheapest gallon of milk in Issaquah without buying 2 at a time? Here's the place. Diamond jewelry, a full service bank, a Skull Candy, a Ficus for your bathroom, Dickies work socks, produce? Yup! A copy of "As I Lay Dying" or The Mountain Goats back catalog? No, this is mass produced goods for the average consumer. Can we interest you in some Nicolas Sparks or Taylor Swift instead? But why do I review such a Bastion of mediocrity? Because since they re-modeled this Fred Meyer's beer selection rocks! Micros, imports, special release locals, mega-swill, barleywines, imperial stouts, organic ciders. The local PCC might have a more esoteric selection, but the sheer magnitude of quality in their double sided aisle is not equaled anywhere until you get to the bottle shops of Redmond, Georgetown or Wallingford. For a beer enthusiast exiled to the suburbs, as good as it gets. read more

I don't like how the grocery isles are cut in half. This makes a lot of walking traffic issues - too many people criss-crossing. This Fred Meyer always has great prices and great staff that work here. They are always helpful with price issues and always solve the problem (if one arises) despite what other people have said. The bakery items are excellent. The meat selection varies seasonally. Vegetable selection, while seasonal, is always stocked full with good organic choices also. It has a coinstar, a redbox, a great electronics section, a Chase bank, a copier, a jewelry store, and a well priced sports section. Bag of 75 Nike golf balls (used) is usually $24.99. I'm impressed with the store as a whole and glad I live near this Fred Meyer. Only negative: they can be stingy when giving out free cookies (unlike the Safeway on Gilman). read more

I only been to 3 Freddy's and this one is my favorite so far. I am mostly going to compare it to the the Renton Freddy's. In the beginning, I thought the Renton Freddy's was the standard with how the atmosphere would be, but I was wrong. When I first stepped in Issaquah Freddy's, it was a nice change of pace. I will take a few steps back and talk about Renton Freddy's. When I got out of my car and started walking to the front door, the parking lot was already shady. You have lots of inconsiderate folks parking wrong and taking up too much space. Walking up to the door, more shady people. Catch my drift? It does not feel like a safe place day and especially at night. So if you have to go there, be careful. Okay enough about Renton. With Issaquah Freddy's, parking not as bad, but the people, for some reason needs to rush in and out of there. So be careful not to get run over. When you get to the door, no shady folks there. This store is bright and mostly clean. Due them letting older experienced cashiers who actually know how to pack groceries. They have younger inexperienced, lazy and apathetic cashiers. Some in particular to avoid. Katie, overcharged and doesn't scan coupons. Farzam, packs milk cartons upside down, won't respond to requests to clean the conveyor belt after someone spilled powder laundry detergent. It got on the food. Horrible Service. I choose carefully who rings up my purchases or I will get smashed bread and some extra chemicals with my food. Even after complaining to management they still work there. I'm a big fan of most Fred Meyer stores....their "one-stop shopping" concept gets me every time I need just a few things that cross several genres of stores. Where else can I pick up organic milk and produce, sketchers sneakers for my kid, a birthday present for the kid's friend, a great selection of housewares, and some gardening stuff for myself? Don't tell me Target, because their produce section sucks, and I'm not crazy about the prices of their housewares either. I've been a regular patron of the downtown Renton Fred Meyer for probably 15 years, and it's always a good, reliable choice. Last weekend, when my spouse wanted to go to Home Depot in Issaquah (our favorite Home Depot, hands down), I figured I would just run into the Fred Meyer near there to pick up a few last-minute things for Easter. It was my first time visiting this particular Fred Meyer, and I have to say, I just wasn't impressed. At all. First of all, it was a mess. Things were strewn all over the place in the seasonal section. Yes, I would somewhat expect this on the Friday before Easter Sunday, but it was out of control. Some things weren't labeled and were missing prices. Things were in the wrong bins. And so on. Then, oddly, they were completely out of two non-Easter-related items that I really needed! I know, I know, it was probably just a coincidence that they only had mini-marshmallows (no full-sized) and no 12-packs of canned seltzer, but it was disturbing. The items weren't even on sale. As others have mentioned, the check-out line moved unbearably slowly, and cashiers weren't particularly friendly. I will definitely skip this FM in the future, and just stick with the two in Renton. I know that some people feel that the downtown Renton location is a little "shady" but I have never had a problem there, and if that is how you feel, make the trek up to the Benson location, it's a little bit more upscale in feel. read more

I like Fred Meyer stores for since they are a real department store. To be fair, I don't do a ton of shopping, but I get an earfull every time my wife comes home. I've loved Fred Meyer's ever since we lived in Alaska. I mean how can you not love true one stop shopping. Clothes, food, electronics, books, housewares, garden supplies all in one place. In Alaska, the even sold lumber! After that accolade, I frequent Fred Meyer's as a grocery store the most. They have a great selection (the only place I can find Claussen Dill Pickle stackers - not bread and butter) and good prices. I am new here from California and found this is one of the best things in the east side! They are huuuge! Feels like a Walmart but bigger and better selection. Everything is inexpensive and they have a large organic selections for those that prefer it. They sell everything from clothes, shoes, jewelry, furniture, home goods, to produce, meat, seafood, flowers, and everything you can think of. Only thing they don't have is tire service like some Walmarts do. read more

Never thought I would find myself writing a review for a grocery store but I was there this past Saturday getting some groceries and I ended up standing in line for 30 minutes waiting to be checked out. They had about half their check out stands open, and every single one had a line that was dozens of feet long, extending deep into the food isles. It was absolute insanity. They were out of their organic apples that were on sale and he was quick to offer to go back to get some, and he quickly unloaded a bunch of other produce and helped us out. He was quick, polite, and very courteous. Really nice interaction with him overall. FM still gets their prices wrong too often (see previous review). Kinda expensive, clothing is expensive and the quality isn't as good as what you could find at the mall for the same price. Prices on groceries aren't bad but not as good as Safeway or even Costco is better way to go depending on what your buying, Costco is two mins away from this location. Very crowded on the weekends and the supervisors do little to control the mob of people going to the check stands. They just stand there and look like their working and act superior. read more

Came here today as this place is cheaper than Safeway and QFC. The poultry section stinks like a market in a third world country. Most lettuce look almost brown. There were a lot of empty shelves. The cash register person was rude( but very nice to a Caucasian woman before me) and even took a call while scanning my grocery. It was someone special as she said" Love you". Who takes personal calls in the cash register, maybe someone that works there? Super unprofessional. She was there today around 530 p.m. She was short, heavy and looked like she just woke up.
