I live in Klahanie, so I'm going to frequent this store no matter what. I've noticed two truly stand-out departments. The floral dept is amazing - I have gotten bouquets, team wristlets, etc, and they always do an outstanding job at a really good price. They are so friendly and make great suggestions. And then there's the cheese guy who shares my deep love of all things cheesy. He makes the most incredible samples - yesterday he had me try a sweet onion cracker topped with strawberry rhubarb spread and 60-month Gouda. My goto stop for groceries. I feel the groceries are fresh and well stocked. The store feels a little understaffed as it is hard to ask for help especially the bakery area. I wanted to order a cake for a birthday and I never found a staff member there. I was able to place an order online. The cake was delicious and extremely reasonably priced but I did not receive any confirmation that the order is ready for pick up. When I called the store , the manager himself had to go to the bakery section and check if it was ready. The cake was ready on time and tasted delicious so no complaints. QFC is a great store. Since Kroger bought the brand, the quality, specifically in produce, deli, and meat/seafood went down the toilet. Produce isn't awful, just average. Seafood is an absolute joke for Seattle/West Coast standards. Private butchers, PCC, fish markets, Whole Foods....that's the last frontier to get solid food without the nastiness of a massive food distributorship that's a shade better than Walmart. And I would never entertain buying anything at Walmart that I would put in my body other than Doritos or any pre-packaged, sealed food. In the 90's QFC was like Whole Foods, or pretty damn close depending on the location. Redmond/Bella Botega was like Whole Foods. Now? It's terrible. read more

By far, this is the worst run grocery store I have ever been to. there's only one checker most of the time and that person sadly doesn't have any support. I don't blame the people working there as they're all kind people. I blame the district leadership for staffing it so poorly. Shame on them. read more

The location of this QFC is great!! I often come here for my family's needs. I appreciate that quite a while back they added an Asian foods section, which has been slowly growing over the years. Theres not much by way of Asian groceries in Sammamish/Issaquah after all. The bakery staff are friendly, though most of the cakes are too sweet, just can't beat the fruit tart! I always get that for special occasions. The pharmacy is always great too. My prescriptions are filled really quickly, and of course recently they've been handling all the hubbub with the vaccine well. Very polite people. Also I like their florist when I happen to see her. This Spring I've been getting flowers and plants occasionally, and she kindly answers my questions. I don't usually get cut flowers, but i always like looking at the arrangements right when I walk in the store. The tulips right now give such nice color to the entrances! read more

Love the location of this store. I stop here all the time since it is on my way home from work. I have to say the florist here is amazing. She made a great floral wrist let for my daughter and she loved it. All the sections are great. They have a great wine collection. I have bought may bottles that are hard to find. Bakery is great as well. They always offer fresh doughnuts daily and of course fresh breads and next to the bakery you can pick up some cheeses. They have a fresh salad area with soup options. They have a deli as well. We purchase fish here and steak. They have a great butcher. Again very easy store to find what your looking for. This review is specific to the Bakery at the Klahanie QFC, and even more specifically the Cake Baker/Decorator who is phenomenal. All of the cakes I have had from this QFC have been wonderful. They are always accommodating and go out of their way to decorate it however I would like it, sometimes I have even waited to the last minute and given them only a few hours notice and they were still able to pull it off. I have been ordering cakes from them for probably the last 8 years and have always been thrilled with the results as have my party guests, there are always lots of compliments and always surprised looks when I tell them it is a supermarket bakery cake. Some of the cakes they have decorated for me are: Monster Truck, Dinosaur, Construction Site, Disney Brave, Barbie (the one with the actual Barbie inside), Husky B-Ball and of course Seahawks. Once, I even had a cake fall off my cart on the way to the car in the parking lot and they were more than accommodating about replacing it. I would highly recommend the Bakery at this QFC. read more

I can't believe they allow their employees to sit in front in the middle of both doors so no matter which door you go through you're forced to inhale the smoke. It's so disgusting. I don't visit the Eastside frequently. I don't review chain grocery stores. But I have lovely fellow Venezuelan friends living in the area. We like to get together and have some wine. I stopped here to buy some for a spontaneous gathering and went all Mazel Tov on them. While exiting the store, a bottle of Chilean red slipped from my arm and, very loudly, made it to the floor. *CRASH, SPLAT, SPLUUUUSHHHH!* Then, I turned as red as the wine. Maybe purple. My cheeks and ears were burning. A very nice lady walked by and said "mmm, smells so good in here, nice wine!" Run, Valentina, run! I couldn't. Crap, crap, crap! "Don't worry ma'am. We'll take care of it. Go get another bottle at no cost." This was said by, at least, three very nice employees. Got my bottle and after thanking them at least a dozen times, ran away from the store. I lost my Albertsons. I am angry. Now I have to venture out of my comfort zone to find another store which has good, ripe Roma tomatoes. The next on my list was this QFC. To sum up QFC, it is like shopping at Fred Meyer, with the same quality of product costing thirty percent more. The produce is crap, the employees are pissed that you had the audacity to try and check out when they were in the middle of a conversation, and the selection is such that you feel that they are deciding what you want for dinner. The only reason that it gets two stars, and the only reason I may walk into that store again, is that they sell Bass Ale. read more

This QFC is the closest grocery store to our house, but because it is a little more expensive than other grocery stores, it isn't my regular store. This is the store that I stop at to make a quick run to pick up a missing ingredient for dinner (or my science experiment) or before breakfast on a weekend morning. I can do the whole trip in under 30 minutes - 5 minutes there, 5 back and up to 20 in the store. The store does carry some higher end products (fancy chocolates, real peppermint extract) which accounts for some of the higher costs, which also makes it a convenient place for fancy schmancy shopping. The store recently underwent a renovation (earning an extra 1/2 star) but also rearranged its aisles (losing 1/2 a star because I don't know where everything is now). Their staff is friendly and they know where everything is. They've also added an in-store Starbuck's Kiosk and have a Bank of America. On the weekends, this store also has a wine steward. It was pretty cool to talk to him and learn some about Washington wines. Edit: They also send faxes for a dollar a page and no tax! read more

Very rude cashiers. Tried to get assistance with a return and the two different ladies that I asked for help for from were nothing but rude and acted like it was a major inconvenience to their day. The curbside pickup people have always been super friendly, so will opt for that way of shopping next time or will avoid the store all together. read more

This QFC is close to my house and I have been coming here since I can remember, sentimental yeah? I've always thought the food selection was good, though never would I describe it as 'gourmet' as so much of it is instant food or freezer food, but that's QFC for you. Generally I would say, you've seen one, you've seen them all. The sushi is great for grocery sushi, the bakery is an average bakery (though their donut deals in the 'manager specials' place are rocking if you can get there before they're all gobbled up), and the fish section is almost always led by a nice guy in waiters who is moderately too excited to be selling average fish, but in an endearing way. All in all, a better than average QFC because it's not the sketch, the help is nice (when they aren't trying to pick you up too hard), and the food is always fresh and edible. Why four stars, you ask. Why in the world would you take a good place with noting wrong down to **** missing that last *? The pharmacy. Like I said, I have been going here since I was learning how to drive in the Swerve around the corner, and the pharmacy manager has never changed. And he's awful. He's rude, makes it seem that you don't know what you're getting and seems to almost disapprove of whatever medicine you need (as if being a young girl trying to figure out how to order her prescription isn't scary enough). The people who work for him: fantastic, very nice and helpful and help to explain what exactly is taking so long when there are five people behind the counter and one me ordering. So, I apologize QFC, but until he gets an attitude adjustment or you hire a new pharmacy manager, you won't be seeing that last *. read more

I miss shopping here. We used to live practically next door, which made it convenient for days when I did not have a car but needed to grab something. I also liked that it was almost always fairly empty of customers, so I could take my time strolling the aisles for specials or new treats to try. It was a place that made grocery shopping fun and relaxing instead of stressful. The layout is nicer than the QFC near my work, and it feels cozy. The people are also really friendly. Normally, I have trouble ordering from meat/fish counters because usually I get some guy who talks to me as if I am a 6 year old girl. But here, there is a woman who works the fish counter (I can't remember her name--maybe Amy?) and she is so nice! She will answer questions, offer suggestions, and prep the seafood if you need it. I watched her do some prep work on lobsters to make it easier for a lady to serve them later. Very thoughtful, and very helpful! As a result, this is the main grocery store where I buy fish. I will say that produce/etc. can be a bit pricey. Especially because they tend to only offer organic versions of many produce. But, the quality is usually good and fresh. I also like their selection, particularly of cheese. I like to try new brands and styles, and they will often have different sales allowing me to try new ones. read more

The last straw was today when I went to pick up a prescription and a customer passed by me about 3 ft away with no mask in sight. I thought to mention it to the manager on duty, but she was standing behind her counter with no mask on either! I'm not coming back. read more

I would like to know why a grocery store, QFC in Klahanie, has such limited handicap parking. There are two in front of a pet shop and two in front of a coffee shop. These are usually full. It makes it very hard for those of us who have trouble walking, etc. It doesn't even seem legal. read more

This is for the Starbucks inside QFC not the store itself. The employees at the store are great and friendly The Starbucks on the other hand isn't so great I went there recently and the customer in front of me got great customer service, the woman was friendly and chatty and very friendly to the customer ahead of me. When I finally approached the counter it was a instant switch in personality, she was impersonal and very rude and didn't greet me in any way and made me feel like I was suddenly interfering with her day. I don't know her name but I will find out and post it on here as an update. Nobody should be treated different from one customer to another but apparently she picks and chooses who she'll be friendly to and who she"s gonna be a total bitch to. Hope this is helpful to anyone who visits that QFC and you might figure it out before I add her name on here. She looks unfriendly and is only nice to other employees and specific customers. Although this isn't my main shopping store, I do go here for the odd item because it is just a 2 minute drive from my house. The produce is better than some places (I wouldn't say stellar), and the selection is decent as well - they even have a few things like thai green chilies and chinese okra (aka: ridged gourd) that I use in Indian dishes. There are some organic choices and they have done a good job in pointing them out so you don't have to search too hard. However, I am fed up with their pharmacy. Like I said, it is a 2 minute drive from my house so theoretically it would be a very convenient location to pick up my prescriptions. But this has not been the case. It seems like every other time I go to pick something up, they are "waiting for a shipment" which will arrive in a few days. I had even run out of a medication, and had requested it 4 days in advance (which should be plenty of time for a refill) only to find out that they did not have it in stock when I went in to pick it up. When you rely on medications to stay healthy it is rather scary and frustrating to have to depend on a system that doesn't seem to be very organized. read more

I love this supermarket. The people working here say Hello. I feel the produce section is big and there is space for you to push your cart. The Starbucks inside is great. The staff working there on Sunday afternoons are super nice. Today I went and I found GOYA products and Malta. I was so happy as the QFC and Safeway nearby doesn't have them. read more

Pretty good store. As others have mentioned, prices are sky-high; I don't do my normal grocery shopping here because of it. It's handy for picking up a few things, and they have a pretty substantial selection for such a small store. Stuff on the clearance rack (particularly the bakery clearance in the back by the eggs) can be a good deal. I also look for the "Manager's Special" tags, which they stick on things that are within a few days of their expiration. Being such a small store with a big selection, this seems to happen a lot. I don't think I've paid full-price for milk in months because of it. The Bank of America disappeared a while ago, and was just recently replaced with a full-service Chase branch. The BOA ATM has remained, along with the Chase ATM and two Redbox video kiosks. The pharmacy in the back has always done a nice job for us, and they have a very good selection of beer and wine. read more

Hooray for few surprises of Indian pancakes, korean potstickers, Chinese steam buns, and $1.99 Lays potato chips (with gmo: genetically modified ingredients) doesn't move from the big shelf in front that gets in your face. Obviously, shoppers are more than average educated & intelligent around here! I can find organic breads here not that choices are big, but I'm happy there are some few selections. I love everything about this store! One of the best QFCs I have ever been to. Every employee I have ever interacted with has the best "How can I make your day better? How can I make your life easier?" type of customer service. From the deli to produce and meat department to the front end including Starbucks and other vendors, they really strive to make your shopping experience the best possible. I use to go to Safeway because of course their prices are cheaper there, but you get what you pay for. And I don't mind spending a bit more for better quality service and products. This is where I go for our fruit & veggies. I'm picky on flavour & crispyness and have sampled everything within driving distance of Issaquah/Fall City area. The overall store is rather spendy so we don't pick up much else here unless it's out of convenience. I'm not sure if they used to have a different produce manager or something, but for the last year I've been impressed anyhow, espcially when the xmas mandarins sucked pretty much everywhere else. read more

This is for the pharmacy where I just saved $90 in uncovered Medicare deductions. The staff suggested I ask my ear doctor to prescribe two separate medicines that cost $5 each instead of the one he prescribed, a combined medicine that would have cost me $100. This review is for the pharmacy. I switched to this pharmacy about 6 months ago and they have been really great in all areas. They are fast, attentive and pleasant. My rx is always filled before expected. I am most thankful for a pharmacist named Ban who saved me $245.00 on a co-pay for a name brand drug I was going to have to pay 270.00 for there is no generic, it's Estrace and he found a coupon code for a $25 copayment that I can use 4 times. A few weeks ago I called them asking what it might cost to send a golf bag down to Carbondale Colorado and was told it would be roughly $75 to $95.When the credit card charge came through is was $165.00. We normally use them for sending small stuff here and there and $25 or $35 charges one pays less attention to the details. So yesterday I wanted to send three framed photographs (no glass) to Carbondale, they were 3'X3' by 2 inch picture frames and I was quoted at first $80 to $100 to box them all up(?) and not sure about weight and size and ?? in other words they could not give me an estimate until the had all three wrapped and boxed up. So to be careful this time, I gave them the credit card number and asked for a call before charging so I could see where the cost might be before agreeing to any shipment. I received a call about two hours later advising me that UPS ground including the cost of the boxes and the bubble wrap and slow "No Rush" ground delivery would cost me $443.00 I was and am still flabbergasted. This is as bad as Whole Foods selling watermelon for 50 Cents a pound whole, $2.39 a pound chopped into pretty little bits in a small plastic tub and then $7.99 a pound if they tip a plastic tub of it out onto the buffet ???
