I don't think I've been to a supermarket that's had this amount of range and variety. The produce section is HUGE and so fresh! The proteins and seafood sections are plentiful, clean, and not too smelly at all. There are rows and rows of dry foods, seasonings, snacks, and more. There's a huge cosmetic and health section with Chinese medicines, Korean and Japanese skincare and makeup, and lots of incense and scents. Beyond just the grocery store, there is an extensive food court serving up Chinese and Taiwanese eats. There's even a bakery onsite whipping up cakes and all sorts of breads. So, naturally after finding out they were a legit deli, I ordered myself a sandwich. And although it was simple, it was absolutely delicious! I'm not one for cold sandwiches, but this was probably one of the best cold sandwiches I've ever had. In fact, I ended up buying some deli meat because I liked how good the pastrami was. The store is cute and they make great use of the limited space. It seems like most of the international Imports are Eastern European (and from what I can tell, mainly Russian). The owners were very helpful and nice, and even showed me to some of the house-made pickled items (of which I bought a small tub of sauerkraut).

We called on discovery, spoke with the manager, "we will fix it next time you're in". Next time in "done deal'. A life time customer, just like that. The oysters and clams were all alive, and wonderful. Uwajimaya has great shell fish and a great staff. I will drive the 90 miles to shop there, by passing the 'fresh fish' store 25 miles away.

Prices are a little high for the prepared foods, but you get what you pay for. The variety of items at this store is good. Aisles can be a little tight to maneuver around if it gets pretty crowded, though.
